Kodak Black Responds To Reports Of Him Popping A Percocet On Kai Cenat’s Livestream

Kodak Black’s well-being is something that his fans have always been worried about. It’s a constant cycle that hovers over the rapper’s head and it’s something that he addresses regularly. Sometimes, there are others that tease him for his addictions, which is never a cool thing to do. But generally speaking, there is a lot of genuine concern. That was the case earlier this week following his appearance on Kai Cenat’s livestream. Part of the reason for the collaboration is because Kai recently began his Mafiathon 2 subathon event in which he streams 24/7 for the entire month. Throughout their time on camera together, Kodak looked to have been under the influence.

His behavior was all over the place, with several clips documenting some truly bizarre actions. One of the most shocking moments that really had everyone’s jaws on the floor was when Yak seemingly popped a Percocet with thousands of people watching. Lots of other outlets reported on this on top of tons of social media users reposting the video. It was only a matter of time before Kodak eventually came across the noise surrounding this livestreaming. He responded to all of the speculation, jokes, and worried folks out there and let’s just say he doesn’t want to hear any of it.

Kodak Black Dismisses Fans’ Support & Criticisms

According to AllHipHop, he says that “y’all be so f***ing butthurt,” and that, “Y’all don’t like a n**** anyway.” He dismisses everybody further claiming that everyone is upset, broke, lacking motion, or trying to take advantage of him and weasel their way into his life. Later in the video, Kodak says he just wants to vibe and life his life, essentially. “I’m just Yak, bro. Aint s*** changed, that’s how I came in this b****… I wake up like this. If anything, give me drugs. Give me drugs, and I’ll chill. When I’m not high, when I ain’t higher than a b****, I’m vibing. When I’m high, I’m in my coma bruh, I ain’t talking to nobody ‘cuz I’m getting high.” He would go on to block people talking down on him and says that this is his vice and that no one is perfect.

What are your thoughts on Kodak Black’s response to all of the reports, fans, and haters following his time on Kai Cenat’s stream? Does he make any valid points in the video? South Florida rap standout Kodak Black took to Instagram to talk about his road to recovery, telling his fans and followers that he’s back in the driver’s seat when it comes to his abuse of prescriptions pills, specifically the opiate Percocet.

I remember a point in my life when I was chewing a lot of Percs,” he said. “Bro, I’m proud of myself. I’ve never been this happy in my life, bro. I don’t know where this came from, what the fuck going on. I ain’t even going to say I’m anti-Perc. Like, I never took a Perc since I been home. But bro, my dosage so low that I can’t believe it myself. Man, I’m telling y’all, bro.”

Yak added, “Before I just went to jail, bro, I was taking… I can talk about this because it’s my testimony. Bro, I’m hollering at y’all, ain’t no shame in my shit. I was taking, bro, at least 100 Percs. Bro, my average was 40 Percocets. I’m telling y’all this man. I ain’t know, to the point where I look at this shit and be like, what the fuck was wrong with me, bruh? I listen to my music and be like, bro, what the fuck, fam?”

Prescription drug overdoses are the third leading cause of all deaths in the United States and Europe, only second to heart disease and cancer.

Kodak Black Reflects On Past Drug Use & Recovery: Watch

Kodak Black’s successful career in hip-hop has been unfortunately marred by a host of legal issues, addiction struggles, and negativity. While some of these include actions that he should be accountable for, he’s also been pretty open about how his substance abuse has affected his life. Following a recent jail stint and a lot of concerned fan expressions, the Florida rapper recently took to Instagram Live to illustrate his journey of recovery. Specifically, he pointed to kicking his Percocet habit as a pivotal factor in being happier than he’s ever been right now, and this is a heartening step in the right direction.

“I remember a point in my life when I was chewing a lot of Percs,” Kodak Black began. “Bro, I’m proud of myself. I’ve never been this happy in my life, bro. I don’t know where this came from, what the f**k going on. I ain’t even going to say I’m anti-Perc. Like, I never took a Perc since I been home. But bro, my dosage so low that I can’t believe it myself. Man, I’m telling y’all, bro.

Kodak Black Speaks On Kicking His Percocet Habit

“Before I just went to jail, bro, I was taking… I can talk about this because it’s my testimony,” Kodak Black continued. “Bro, I’m hollering at y’all, ain’t no shame in my s**t. I was taking, bro, at least 100 Percs. Bro, my average was 40 Percocets. I’m telling y’all this man. I ain’t know -– to the point where I look at this s**t and be like, what the f**k was wrong with me, bruh? I listen to my music and be like, bro, what the f**k, fam?” Afterwards, he greeted some eager fans and prompted them to come forward to kick it with him for a while.

Furthermore, this still hasn’t resulted in the Pistolz & Pearlz artist refraining from some other wild or notably bizarre moments on social media. One recent instance was his threat to “cremate” anyone who messes with streamer Adin Ross. But the most important part is that there seems to be an active effort to improve mentally and physically from the tolls that drugs like Percocet can take, a process that will hopefully yield lifelong fulfillment. Kodak Black’s Attorney Denies Rapper Had Cocaine During Drug Bust, Says It Was Percocet

Kodak Black’s lawyer affirms that it wasn’t cocaine in his possession during his recent arrest but Percocet. Last week, Florida police arrested the rapper after they discovered him asleep at the wheel of his vehicle. After he was booked on drug charges, authorities said they found him with a mouth of white powder and a white pebble-like substance on the ground at the scene. The initial test of the substances returned positive for cocaine, though Kodak insisted that it was Percocet. His attorney, Bradford Cohen, echoed this statement to TMZ recently.

“In this latest case, my belief is that the ‘rock’ this officer found when tested will be a Percocet, not cocaine,” Cohen told the media outlet, despite the test. “The test they do is a presumptive test for illegal substances. It just turns blue.” The attorney added that the rapper developed a dependency on Percocet ever since he was behind bars. “There will be a couple of different phases of this treatment in order for him to get better. You have to treat the root problem of the dependency and that’s what is going to happen. We are going to alleviate dependency,” Cohen added.

News of Kodak Black’s arrest caused a stir online, especially after police claimed that he was in possession of cocaine. Although he admitted abusing Percocets, he made it clear that he doesn’t do cocaine. He added that he’s plenty over $350,000 to help get clean. “I’m working on myself,” he told his fans online.

While his latest arrest was another legal bump in the road, fans are undoubtedly revving up for the release of new music. Ye and Ty Dolla $ign recently debuted their joint project together, which brings an eclectic group of collaborators, from North West to Freddie Gibbs. However, the most anticipated song on the album includes appearances from Kodak Black and Bad Bunny who appear on the same song. Polo G Reveals That Juice WRLD’s Death Made Him Stop Taking Percocet

Juice WRLD’s shocking loss raised an unfortunately common conversation on drug use within not just hip-hop, but the youth and addicted community at large. In the wake of his passing, many vowed to both keep his spirit and memory alive and reflect on their own substance relationships. One rapper to do so is fellow Chicago star Polo G, who opened up about the tragedy during his episode of RapCaviar Presents on Hulu. During his interview, he spoke on how the “Lucid Dreams” star’s absence made him reevaluate his life choices. Not only that, but it also changed his family for the better.

It made me look at a lot of s**t differently,” the “Pop Out” MC remarked. “That made me stop popping Percocets altogether, though. ‘Cause I know he wouldn’t want me on that s**t.” Furthermore, his decision also influenced his father to follow suit, who spoke on his own thought process. “Being able to see that and say, ‘Damn, my son can get it together’ — I need to [as well],” Taurus Bartlett Sr. expressed. Sadly, this isn’t the only recent reflection on mourning in hip-hop that the 24-year-old offered. As a guest on the Full Send podcast, he revealed that he meant to link up with Pop Smoke in the studio on the day of his murder.

Polo G Reflects On Collaborator Juice WRLD’s Passing

“I f***ed with Pop Smoke and the whole Drill sound,” the Old Town native stated. “You know, coming from Chicago, that’s where that s**t started at. So, I really tapped into they s**t. I hit up Pop like, ‘Yo, let’s do this.’ He had been hitting me up in the past, but before I knew who he was. And then, when I seen they wave going strong, I hit him like, ‘Yo, I f**k with y’all s**t. Let’s do something.’ The craziest thing, I worked with him right before he passed. I was in the studio with him. He said he was leaving to L.A. I stayed in New York an extra day to make sure Fivio [Foreign] laid his verse [for ‘Clueless’].

“And Pop, a contact was telling me Pop wanted to get in the stu in L.A. the night he passed,” he continued. “‘Cause I live there, he live there. We was supposed to get up.” Further into the interview, he described the process of working with him. To honor the city of Chicago for their collaboration, the Woo asked Polo for the name of a popular spot in the region, which he included. For artists like the “RAPSTAR,” part of their assumed responsibility is doing right by their fallen friends. Though he surely carries that with a heavy heart, fans remember those lost for their greatness through others’ touching testimonies. Check out Polo’s collaborations with Juice and Pop above and below, and share your favorite moments in the comments from those gone too soon. Also, return to HNHH for the latest on Polo G, Juice WRLD, and Pop Smoke.
