Gunna’s “One Of Wun” First Week Sales Projections Are Here

Gunna’s new album, One of Wun, is headed for a top 10 debut on the Billboard 200, according to early forecasts from Hits Daily Double. The outlet estimates the rapper’s fifth studio album will earn between 60-65k album-equivalent units in its first week. Gunna dropped the project on Friday, featuring Offset, Normani, Roddy Ricch and Leon Bridges.

The new estimate represents a minor drop-off compared to Gunna’s previous effort, A Gift & a Curse, which debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart, earning 85,000 units. He was assisted on that project by the hit single, “FukUmean,” which reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Gunna Arrives At Paris Fashion Week

Speaking with XXL for a cover shoot ahead of One of Wun, Gunna explained that the new album shows his growth as an artist. “As I evolve, my music evolves, too,” he said. “I’m not the same 24-year-old that was putting out Drip Season 3, you know what I’m sayin’? Now I’m 30, and I’m dropping ‘Bittersweet’ and A Gift & A Curse. That resonates with how I’m living. Back then, it did, too. But that was for that time. So, this time, I’m just evolving differently, but it transpired over to the music, too.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Gunna discussed the efforts he’s put into losing weight since getting out of prison in 2022. On the new album’s song, “Collage,” he seemingly disses Drake by rapping: “I clear all the tabs/ They pay for their abs.” Both Rick Ross and Kendrick Lamar have recently accused the Toronto rapper of having cosmetic work done on his stomach. “Let your core audience stomach that, then tell ’em where you get your abs from,” Lamar raps on “Euphoria.” Be on the lookout for further updates on Gunna on HotNewHipHop.

Gunna & Roddy Ricch Are Doing Some Self-Healing On “Let It Breathe”

Ever since Gunna addressed the YSL RICO fiasco on his fourth studio album, a Gift & a Curse, it is clear that he has been doing some self-reflection. That has been evident from the College Park, Georgia rapper and singer working on his physical and mental health. The 30-year-old has posted tons of pictures on his social media platforms and his transformation has been nothing short of incredible. This new mindset that Gunna has is the main theme of his fifth LP One of Wun.

On “let it breathe,” for example, Gunna speaks about how he has been distancing himself from others and sit down with himself. Across the moody piano-backed instrumental, he decides that he is going to fortify his mental strength by hitting the gym and choosing who he surrounds himself with. Joining him on this journey to becoming a new man is Compton’s own Roddy Ricch. To be honest, we do not think there was anyone better to accompany Gunna on this track in particular.

Listen To “Let It Breathe” By Gunna & Roddy Ricch

His style is almost identical and a track with this kind of message comes a great time for Roddy. It seems that the narrative has shifted for him after his impressive debut album Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial. Many felt he took a dramatic step back on his following effort LIVE LIFE FAST, and even on Feed Tha Streets III. “Lately, I’ve been slow to speak, still stay out they reach, ” Ricch says on the first line of his verse. That could refer to a lot of things, but it could be seen as he is taking time before making a new project. All in all, “let it breathe” is a strong offering from Gunna and his equally wounded partner.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song “let it breathe” by Gunna and Roddy Ricch? Is this the best track from his new album One of Wun, why or why not? Who had the stronger performance on this cut? Where do you rank this project amongst the rest of his catalog and is it better than the original? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. I showed you real love, you ain’t have to stab me in my back, it was only us

Did Gunna Diss Drake On ‘Still Prevail’ From His New Album ‘One Of Wun?’

After exchanging diss tracks with Kendrick Lamar all weekend, Drake seemingly threw in the towel on Sunday night with the release of “The Heart Part 6.” From the song’s spoken outro, it seems that the Toronto superstar had grown tired of sparring with his Compton opponent, and wanted to move onto other things.

Unfortunately for Drake, it doesn’t look like the slew of rappers who joined in from seemingly all sides is interested in letting him walk away. In fact, some fans on Twitter noticed a line from Gunna’s album, One Of Wun, that suggests another fighter is jumping into the fray.

Did Gunna Diss Drake On His New Album?

Gunna, who released his new album One Of Wun today, appears to go after Drake on the song “Still Prevail.” In it, he rhymes, “I clear all the tabs, they pay for their abs,” evoking a similar jab that has been used against him by Kendrick, as well as Joe Budden, Rick Ross, and even Azealia Banks.

It has long been rumored that the “Hotline Bling” singer got liposuction on his midsection — a rumor that Drake has never denied (although, to be fair, you can’t prove a negative). If Gunna really is referring to Drake with that line, it would bring the total of former collaborators turned competitors to five (six, if you count Meek Mill).

Incidentally, fans were sure that Gunna actually had a beef with Future, who seemingly announced the release of a project of his own earlier this week (which turned out to just be a single) with a remark that fans thought disparaged the younger Atlanta rapper. It remains to be seen how that’ll play out, but for now, it looks like rap’s tangled web of civil conflicts just got even more complex.

Fans React To Gunna’s New Album “One Of Wun,” And They’re Loving It So Far

Less than a year after Gunna’s comeback album a Gift & a Curse following a prison stint, he wasted no time in giving fans the one-two punch with his brand-new LP, One Of Wun. Moreover, with features from Offset, Normani, Roddy Ricch, and Leon Bridges across 20 songs, there’s a lot of room for bangers… as well as disappointment. However, from what the general social media reception to the project has looked like in its first hours on the market, it seems like fans are quite satisfied with this record. Of course, we’ll have to see how it ages and what more scrutinized critical reception looks like, but right now, it seems like he took a W here.

Moreover, Gunna also raised eyebrows with some particular bars here and there that many fans interpreted as subliminal shots at other rappers. For example, some bars on here relate to paying for abs and having writers, which some people think might’ve been aimed at Drake and Lil Baby. Still, that’s just speculation at the moment, just like a lot of rumors surrounding him and his rap allegiances right now. The College Park MC entered a tough situation when he made his plea deal in the YSL RICO case, although it’s been heartening to see his return.

Gunna’s New Album One Of Wun: Stream

Elsewhere, people also thought that Gunna and Future had some issues to work out, as fans theorized that they would go head-to-head with new projects this week based on some alleged social media shots. Fewtch ended up dropping a single, not a mixtape, so we’ll see whether this narrative persists throughout One Of Wun‘s hype cycle. Apart from those narrative caveats, this is a Wunna album through and through, so we’d highly recommend you give it a shot if you’ve ever liked his material in the past. Drake & Lil Baby Seemingly Catch Strays From Gunna On “One Of Wun”

Drake and Lil Baby are two artists who have collaborated quite a bit over the years. Moreover, they both used to work with Gunna. Of course, Lil Baby and Gunna were seen as a dynamic duo of sorts. They dropped a collaborative album together back in 2018, and they were both Young Thug disciples. However, both Drake and Lil Baby choose not to associate with Gunna anymore. This is due to the fact that Gunna is perceived as a snitch by his peers. After being arrested alongside Thugger in 2022, he was eventually released. While there is no concrete proof that he snitched, many within the industry have already made up their mind.

On Friday, Gunna dropped off his new album One Of Wun. Given all that he has been through, fans were expecting some bars about the YSL case. Furthermore, it was expected that he would have subliminal bars for those who have been distancing themselves from him. Well, below, you can see some lines from the song “Still Prevail” that appear to be directed at Drake, or at least that’s what the fans believe. Gunna essentially accuses some men of paying for their abs. While Akademiks jokes that this is about Bandman KEVO, others are thinking of Drizzy, especially after the recent disses from Rick Ross and Kendrick Lamar.

Did Gunna Shoot At Drake

Meanwhile, on the song “collage,” Gunna speaks about not needing a writer. Fans are theorizing that this is about Lil Baby. Overall, this is because the rumor for years has been that Gunna was writing for Lil Baby. Some fans even think that Lil Baby fell off due to the fact that Gunna stopped writing for him. This is only an allegation and hasn’t been fully proven. However, fans are convinced that Drake and Baby are the victims of some strays on this project.

Lil Baby May Have Caught One Too

Let us know what you think of these bars, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that Gunna is actually taking shots at Drake and Lil Baby here? How are you feeling the new Gunna album so far? Is it living up to your expectations? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. The album shares a release date with Future’s upcoming mixtape, prompting some fans online to speculate that the two Atlanta rappers might have a feud brewing.

When Will Gunna’s New Album ‘One Of Wun’ Be On Spotify?

Over the two months, Gunna has been rolling out his fifth studio album, One Of Wun. Beginning with the release of the album’s first single, “Prada Dem,” featuring Offset, and culminating with the reveal of the tracklist just yesterday, Gunna has turned up the hype for One Of Wun with every move. Now, the only thing left to do is drop the album, which he’ll do Friday, May 10 (tomorrow). So, when can you stream the new album on Spotify?

The album will be on DSPs at midnight Eastern, 9 PM Pacific.

Incidentally, it looks like there might be one wrench in the works of Gunna’s master plan, though. Just days ago, Future announced the release of his own mixtape, after releasing two joint albums with Metro Boomin. Now, fans think Gunna and Future might just have joined in the widespread wave of conflict sweeping the hip-hop world. Fortunately, this time, Gunna won’t have to go it alone; in addition to Offset, his album tracklist (which you can see below) will also include another frequent collaborator, Roddy Ricch.

Although Gunna’s last album, A Gift & A Curse, firmly reestablished his position in hip-hop as one of its foremost hitmakers, it was also his first album with no guest stars. Whether that was Gunna’s choice or not, it certainly lent credence to the speculation that he was persona non grata in the rap world as a result of taking an Alford plea to secure his release from jail.

However, his new album, One Of Wun, might just put an end to that speculation, as its tracklist reunites him with two of his most frequent collaborators in Offset and Uproxx cover star Roddy Ricch — who have both been through some rough patches of their own, if we’re being honest. In addition, R&B singers Leon Bridges and Normani will both appear on the album, suggesting that Gunna will be aiming to expand his appeal now that he’s regained firmer footing.

Gunna Reveals Tracklist And Features For “One Of Wun”

Gunna is dropping a new project on Friday called One Of Wun. If you have been paying attention to Gunna and his career, you know that it has been hard from him ever since coming home from jail. Overall, a lot of his former collaborators see him as a snitch. Young Thug remains on trial, while Gunna is home free. This has consequently led to a narrative that has mostly been disproven, at least for now. On his last album a gift & a curse, Wunna was not able to secure a feature. However, it seems like some have come around on him.

For instance, today, Gunna revealed a 20-song tracklist for his new album. Carrying a 20-song album all by yourself would be a Herculean task. While the artist is going to be carrying the heaviest load here, there are some features throughout the project. For instance, we will be getting Normani, Leon Bridges, Offset, and Roddy Ricch. This is an interesting crop of artists as there is a mixture of R&B and rap here. We have already heard the song with Offset, but it will be interesting to see what the other features bring to the table here.

Gunna Is Back

Meanwhile, fans are eager to see whether or not Gunna will be able to compete with Future here. As we reported, Future is dropping a mixtape on the same day. The two even threw some subs at each other on Twitter during the early hours of the morning. If one thing is for certain here, it is that we are in for a very interesting weekend of music.

Let us know your expectations for this new project, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that this project is going to be able to live up to the hype?
