Offset Teases Album Release Date with ‘Renaissance’ Outfit

Offset Says His Album Will Be Released This October

Offset hit the Renaissance tour in Los Angeles. While on hand to see Beyonce, Offset evoked the energy of another icon for his fashion, Michael Jackson. HIpHopDX noticed a small detail, 1013 on his right arm, possibly signaling a release date for his forthcoming album.

“Renaissance” was the caption Offset used, not noting anything tward the rumored release date.

Previously, Offset pulled up on Ebro Darden for Apple Music 1 and dropped off the release month for his forthcoming album. During the conversation, Offset revealed the project will highlight more of his personality, and another single will follow up “Jealousy” in three weeks. But what about the album? Offset delivered an update.

“We coming in October but right now we just applying pressure,” Offset said. “Creatively, content-wise, I’m going to just keep my rollout going. The rollout started from “Jealousy”, so I’m going to just keep the rollout starting from right then. So with this album I’m definitely going to be showing way more personality, way more who Offset is, creatively. Taking to the next level. You know how we come in, Ebro.”

In July, Offset took it to a new level, dropping off the single for “Jealousy” featuring Cardi B. The video opens with Jamie Lee Curtis narrating the drama. The two directly address the issues between the two in the bars. In the visual, Offset evokes Jodi from Baby Boy, leaving the crib and hopping on his bike to ride through the streets of LA.

Keeping it to the Baby Boy theme, Cardi B calls her homegirl to complain, who happened to be the original Yvette, Taraji P. Henson.

After an impressive opening run from Offset, including a beat transition that forces a head nod, Cardi B tags in for a float of her own, adding on to her impressive run of features through 2023.

“Jealousy” is the first single from Offset’s forthcoming album. You can see the Offset directed video below.

2 Chainz, Offset, Coi Leray, And More Join DJ Khaled To Open Beyonce’s First “RENAISSANCE” LA Show

Thus far on Beyonce’s RENAISSANCE World Tour, we haven’t seen too many surprise guests take the stage alongside her. Of course, her eldest child, Blue Ivy Carter, has been a regular performance staple alongside Queen B, and her troupe of dancers has been keeping audiences more than entertained. For her first performance in Los Angeles on Friday (September 1) night, however, the Houston native finally felt as though it was time to recruit some of her fellow creatives to share her stage. Late in August, it was confirmed that DJ Khaled would have the honour of opening for Beyonce. He made sure to impress with the friends that he brought along.

Not only did the DJ bring Coi Leray out from the East Coast to sing her smash hit “Players” single, but we also saw Offset pay tribute to Michael Jackson once again. The father of five dressed in a black and silver outfit, similarly styled to the King of Pop before performing a throwback favourite, “Ric Flair Drip” to Beyonce’s audience. A few West Coast icons also made appearances, such as Roddy Ricch (though he appeared to run into technical difficulties during his song), and Wiz Khalifa.

Cardi B Claims Offset Is Going To ‘Make An Example’ By Suing Someone Who Faked A Claim That He Was Cheating

Over the weekend, a Twitter user claimed they had evidence that Offset had once again cheated on Cardi B. According to XXL, it had a photo of what was allegedly Offset and a voice recording of a man trying to get a woman.

“Offset has allegedly cheated on Cardi B once again. How embarrassing,” they captioned.

The following day on Monday, August 21, Cardi B caught wind of the allegations and responded with a now-deleted voice recording of her own. “So you guys are going to receive a letter from his lawyer,” she said. “Because all these little games that you guys want to play online — it’s going to be over with.”

“You’re going to be getting sued, and we’re going to make an example out of you,” she added. “Yeah, and that was a terrible AI voice, by the way, so yeah, bye.”

Cardi also offered some advice for the “graphic designer” as to the fact that it clearly wasn’t her husband due to the photo missing his blonde dreads and the body type not matching.

She also shot right back when someone wrote, “Girl don’t nbgaf,” replying in all caps on Offset’s behalf, “HE DO!!”

Cardi B Shares Unclear Words Of Advice With Fans

Cardi B often uses her social media to interact with fans in ways people don’t entirely understand. Yesterday she took the opportunity to share some words of advice with her audience. “Never let them know your next move. Just know mine is personal,” a tweet she made reads. While it’s entirely unclear what she meant by that, fans have taken the statement and run with the speculation. In the comments, fans discuss whether she could be talking about new music or something else entirely.

Cardi B started 2023 off by teasing fans about the release of her long-awaited second studio album. After a few weeks of those teases, however, things began to slow down and Cardi has shifted her focus into other artists’ songs. She lent a feature to one of the biggest rap hits of the year so far, Latto’s “Put It On Da Floor Again.” She also teamed up with underground star in the making FendiDa Rapper on the track “Point Me 2.” The song has already become Fendi’s most streamed on Spotify tallying over 10 million plays.

Cardi B’s Ominous Twitter Warning

Cardi B’s newest release was a collaboration with her husband Offset. The pair teamed up for a new song called “JEALOUSY.” The track played into the public visibility and history of their relationship and received overwhelmingly positive reception from fans. “JEALOUSY” will serve as the lead single of Offset’s new solo album, his first since 2019. He said in a recent interview that the current timeline for the project’s release was October of this year.

As for Cardi’s own new album, fans are still guessing. She released her first studio project Invasion Of Privacy all the way back in 2018. The album was a smash success following the breakout of her song “Bodak Yellow.” It also contained a song that would eventually become even bigger in the Bad Bunny and J Balvin collab “I Like It.” Though she has taken more than 5 years to follow it up, fans are still feverishly awaiting a new release from Cardi. What do you think Cardi B’s new tweet is hinting towards? Let us know in the comment section below.

Offset Drops Quality Control Lawsuit

Offset Has Reportedly Settled And Dropped His Lawsuit Against His Former Label, Quality Control Music

It seems Offset’s legal battle with his formal label, Quality Control Music, has come to a close after he decided to drop the lawsuit and reached a settlement with them, according to TMZ.

The rapper had first filed to sue the company in August of 2022, citing that the label was allegedly trying to control his rights to own and the ability to make more solo music outside of Migos and not honoring their past agreements. Specifically, he referred to a deal made in January 2021 that was negotiated, then ignored.

“Not only are the accusations in this lawsuit false, they are totally detached from reality,” Quality Control released in a statement previously. “Offset remains a part of QC. Back to business.”

Earlier this year, the label’s owners also claimed that Offset’s solo music was owned by them and past agreements were invalidated because he spoke out about it online, according to HipHopDX.

But Offset’s lawyer has pushed against this, claiming, “Quality Control no longer owns the copyright to Offset’s solo sound recordings and is no longer licensing Offset’s solo sound recordings to Capitol, and Capitol has acquired ownership of Offset’s solo sound recordings directly from Offset.”

Because of this, although the lawsuit between Offset and Quality Control has been settled, he will not be releasing his future solo music through them.
