Several reports have confirmed that the elder daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, North West, has joined the cast of Disney’s The Lion King 30th Anniversary – A Live-to-Film Concert Event, a two-day live concert event held at the namesake venue that will also have a special set streamed to Disney+ named The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl.

West will be in good company for the special live Lion King show, as franchise originals Billy Eichner, Bradley Gibson, Ernie Sabella, Jason Weaver, Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane and special guest Jennifer Hudson will all be taking the stage alongside her.

The press release announced that Heather Headley and Lebo M. would be joining the cast as well.

It is currently unclear what role West will take in the production. According to a press release, the show will “celebrate the 30-year evolution of The Lion King,” paying homage to everything from the original 1994 animated film, to the 1998 Tony award-winning musical and even the 2019 live-action remake.

The live performances will take place at the Hollywood Bowl on May 24 and May 25 with tickets available now. The streaming version of the performance, The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl, will hit Disney+ at an unspecified later date.

West’s inclusion in the special Lion King cast is her latest creative foray, coming on the heels of her hit song “Talking,” released as a collaboration with her father and Ty Dolla $ign for the latters’ joint “Vultures” album.

North West Expanding Her Talents Into Acting With New Role

Now she’s about to dip her toes into an entirely new medium. According to Hollywood Unlocked she’s trying her hand at acting soon. She’s been cast in an upcoming special performance of the Lion King show that will take place at the Hollywood Bowl. She’s joining an absolutely all-star cast of stage talent to make her debut. Many fans immediately felt like they were having deja vu. That’s because Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy recently confirmed that she’ll make her debut acting role in the upcoming second live-action film version of The Lion King. North West Makes Her Directorial Debut With “TALKING” Music Video

North West, the eldest child between Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, continues to be heavily involved in her dad’s work. The 10-year-old phenom has been helping out with the VULTURES trilogy in many ways. She has performed onstage at various shows and listening experiences. Additionally, her singing skills were on full display on the first entry’s second single “TALKING.” All of this has inspired her to forge her own path, as she recently announced that she is in the process of making her first album. North West is now showing interest in directing, as a surprise second music video for “TALKING” is out now.

If you remember, right before VULTURES 1 hit streaming, Kanye dropped the track and its visuals on his social media accounts. In it, North was seen talking into her dad’s ear, and Ty Dolla $ign united with his only daughter, Jailynn. That video was directed by the D’Innocenzo brothers, with cinematography being handled by Matteo Cocco. However, this new video for “TALKING” sees North West take up the reins.

Kanye is shown a little less in this version, with North and her friends talking up more of the runtime. There is a cute moment where her and her proud dad are boxing with each other. Ty Dolla $ign does pop up in the second half but he is by himself this time. Overall, it is artfully done, and North is showing that she is a sure-fire multi-hyphenate.

Ye wants the world to stop calling him Kanye West. In a statement released by his chief of staff, Milo Yiannopolous, Ye expresses his desire that everyone, from websites to streamers, stop using his former name.

The notice reads: “Ye is one of the most recognizeable people in the world, on par with presidents and popes. He didn’t take the decision to change his name, potentially sacrificing some of the immense value by the brand ‘Kanye West,’ lightly. The change was made fully, legally, and permanently. This is who he is now. His name is Ye.”

Last week, Ye had a lot to say during his interview with Big Boy. One of the most personal was his revelation that he believes his mom speaks to him via his daughter, North West.

“I remember sitting with North in Italy and playing her ‘Back to Me,’ and asking her, ‘What do you think about this line in the middle of the song?’ And I was like, ‘Do you think I should change this?’ And she’s like, ‘You know, it’s a good song.’ Sometimes I feel like my mom speaks through her. ‘It’s a good song, this is just a banger. Bianca Censori surprised folks with a particular expectation of her fashion style for a Saturday night (March 23) dinner with her husband Ye and his daughter North West. Moreover, she hit up Nobu with them in Los Angeles with a huge fur coat, black leggings, and small black heels. Of course, a lot of folks are commenting on how the Yeezy architect usually wears much more revealing clothing, but thought that maybe North’s presence prompted a more conservative look. But this is all very speculative at the end of the day, and we doubt that anyone is able to make a conversation around a fit quite like her these days.

Furthermore, Bianca Censori also forms part of Ye’s current rollouts and career moves, as well as surprising reflections on previous moments of his path. For example, he recently posted her spread across his massive bed, which fans theorized is probably the same bed that he used for the “Famous” music video. In it, the Chicago artist featured wax figures of various celebrities, insinuating that he slept with all of them. It was a bizarrely reflective moment that kind of welcomed Bianca into that echelon, in a way.

However, this probably doesn’t help the narrative that Bianca Censori’s family is not happy at all with how Ye has allegedly changed her. Not only does this relate to her fashion choices, which he reportedly is heavily involved in styling, but also the fact that she doesn’t really speak out that much in the public. A lot of ink’s been spilled about this dynamic in particular and the Censori family’s aversion to the VULTURES 1 creative. The last report we got on that end is that Bianca is “hesitant” for her husband to meet with her father about her public image.

Last week, Nicki Minaj revealed her new line of press-ons. They’re called “Pink Friday Nails” and packages containing the product have been shipped out to various celebs and influencers so they can try them out. That was the case with Kim Kardashian who got her own package seemingly full of various styles of the press-on nails. But as she explained in a video she shared to social media, before she even got the chance to open the package somebody else got their hands on it.

It’s no secret that North West is a pretty big Barb. She shared a video of herself dancing and singing along to songs from Pink Friday 2 right after the album came out. So it’s not all that surprising that she was interested in the Pink Friday Nails. North West spoke with Jazzys World TV at Rolling Loud, last week, when her father and Ty Dolla Sign performed at the event. In doing so she discussed her upcoming debut studio album, Elementary School Dropout. She previously announced the project during a Vultures listening party in Phoenix, earlier this month.

“It’s gonna be great,” North said. As for when fans can expect the new album, she answered: “Like… I don’t know.” She also didn’t provide any details on whether she’ll have any collaborations on the tracklist. “Maybe! We don’t know yet!” she said. Fans loved the interview when Jazzy shared it on Instagram. “I think you made history being the first reporter to interview North! Go Jazzy,” one wrote. Another added: “Jazzy really born for this… North West wasn’t ready for all these questions but Jazzy switch up quick and made her more comfortable.”

And it’s called Elementary School Dropout.” The title is a clear reference to her father’s 2004 studio album, College Dropout. Speaking of her father, Kanye’s Rolling Loud set proved incredibly controversial, as he simply stood on stage while pre-recorded music played from the speakers. Speaking with Big Boy for an interview published the next morning, he defended himself by saying: “People just came for the experience.”

Justin Laboy is delivering additional details on North West’s album.

TMZ caught up with Laboy at LAX and asked about Elementary School Dropout. His response was that Kanye West is leading the way in production, and it will be kid-friendly.

“She already got a hit,” Laboy said. “I know she going to be on ‘Vultures 2′ again’ and that album will be a classic.”

He added, “Everybody is excited, all chips in on her: production, the best engineers. I think she got it and she naturally loves it.”

Kanye West Feels As Though His Mom Speaks Through North West

Kanye West and his mother Donda were extremely close. Overall, Donda was a huge influence on Kanye and his rise to fame. He used to mention her all the time in interviews, and she was a large part of the Jeen-Yuhs documentary. Unfortunately, she passed away in 2007, and it was a devastating time in Ye’s life. To this day, he is still feeling the effects of her passing. However, he has been able to honor her in many ways. For instance, he named his album Donda after her, and he has also created institutions in her name.

When someone is such a massive part of your life, sometimes, you will see that person manifest in others. As Ye was telling Big Boy in his most recent interview, he sees a lot of his mom in North West. In the clip below, he says “Sometimes i feel like my mom speaks through her.” Ye made this revelation when he was showing North his song “Back To Me.” North told Ye that the song was a “banger” and that at the end of the day, he needs to say how he feels. In Ye’s mind, that is the exact same advice that his mom would have given him.
