A$AP Rocky Says He’s ‘Proud’ to Start a Family with Rihanna

A$AP Rocky is about to be a dad.

As he prepares to welcome his first child with Rihanna, the rapper stopped by REVOLT’s “Drink Champs,” where he reflected on his relationship with his superstar girlfriend and their baby-to-be.

During the conversation, Rocky complimented N.O.R.E. on his authentic relationship with his wife, which was documented on WE tv’s “Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition.”

“I could see the realness between both of y’all and shit like that and I could really tell, like, y’all been through some shit together, y’all been through a journey and it’s real. It’s not fabricated, it’s actually real,” he said.

Rocky said he hopes to apply that to his own relationship with Rihanna. “And that’s what I aspire to keep, just genuine real shit, just f**k what the outside world got going on, f**k what the outside world think and shit like that. It’s really about an understanding between two components, you and your significant other.”

N.O.R.E. brought up his child with Rihanna, adding, “Three components now.”

Rocky couldn’t help but gush about starting a family with his girlfriend. “I’m proud, man,” he said.

Earlier this month, Rocky dropped his new single “D.M.B.” off his upcoming album All Smiles. In the video, which he directed, he and Rihanna get married while donning a pair of grillz that say “Marry Me?” and “I Do.”

Rihanna previously spoke about her relationship with Rocky, which turned serious during the COVID lockdown in the summer of 2020. “There’s no pretentious my-brand-your-brand bullshit, it’s just us living. I just feel like I can do any part of life by his side,” she told Vogue.

Rihanna was by her man’s side when he was arrested while arriving at LAX from their vacation in Barbados. Rocky is facing a charge of assault with a deadly weapon in connection with a 2021 nonfatal shooting in Hollywood.

He did not address his April 20 arrest in his “Drink Champs” interview, but he did respond to comparisons between him and Travis Scott after N.O.R.E. accused Travis of stealing “his whole style.”

Lil Keed Dead at 24

Lil Keed has passed away.

The Atlanta rapper, born Raqhid Jevon Render, died on Friday (May 13), according to his brother Lil Gotit, who confirmed the tragic news on social media. The cause of death is unknown at this time. Keed was 24.

An emotional Gotit mourned his brother’s death. “Can’t believe I seened u die today bro I did all my cries I know what u want me to do and that’s go hard for Mama Daddy Our Brothers Naychur and Whiteboy #ImaHoldthisShitDown,” he captioned a photo of him and Keed.

In another IG Story, he added, “@lilkeed Whyyy bra whyyy u leave me bra.”

Lil Keed was signed to Young Thug’s Young Stoner Life Records under 300 Entertainment. The 2020 XXL Freshman made a name for himself with a series of mixtapes including Trapped on Cleveland, Slime Avenue, Trapped on Cleveland 2, and Keed Talk to ‘Em, which spawned the hit “Nameless.”

In 2019, he released his debut album Long Live Mexico followed by 2020’s Trapped on Cleveland 3 featuring Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Future, and Chris Brown. He was also featured on last year’s YSL compilation, Slime Language 2.

“My goal and my intentions for my future? I wanna be a megastar,” Keed once told XXL. “I don’t wanna be no superstar. I wanna be a megastar.”

His death comes just days after Young Thug, Gunna, and other members of YSL were named in a 56-count indictment, which includes charges ranging from drug and gun possession to murder. Thug and Gunna remain in custody after a judge denied their bond.
