Fyre Festival Organizer Wants 50 Cent To Replace Ja Rule For Second Iteration
If you hadn’t already heard, Fyre Festival 2 is allegedly taking place next year, and already has some big developments underway. Moreover, TMZ recently caught up with the festival’s organizer Billy McFarland over the weekend and asked him about the supposed follow-up to the disastrous first iteration that landed him in prison. He says that this next festival will fully live up to the first’s promises, and he apparently has hard dates already lined up for April 25 of next year in Mexico. However, the most important and interesting part of McFarland’s new statement (which you can check out by clicking the “Via” link below) came later… That is, if you’re a fan of hip-hop and rap beef.
Billy McFarland asked 50 Cent to replace his former Fyre Festival partner Ja Rule to spruce up the entertainment department. Apparently, live music will be but a small part of this second iteration, amid other luxuries like scuba diving. In addition, he also claimed that 3,000 people already signed up to stay at the island they rented. But McFarland’s words are particularly curious because of Fif and Ja’s long-running feud, and because of his own issues with the latter.

For those unaware, the last update in Billy McFarland and Ja Rule’s dispute over who messed Fyre Festival up was the former’s boxing challenge to the latter. Here’s how he proposed it: someone was willing to pay $350,000 to see the two battle for 15 minutes, and all that money would go to all the employees that didn’t receive payment for their work during the festival. Maybe 50 Cent is the one willing to cough up some cash to try to embarrass his sworn rival some more…
As for 50 Cent and Ja Rule… Do you really need an explanation or update? They are always clowning each other and mocking each other online, whether it’s for sports teams losses or other hip-hop fare. Pharrell Cancels Something In The Water Festival 2024
Pharrell sadly announced the decision to push back his Something In The Water festival in Virginia Beach from October of this year to April of 2025. Yesterday (Friday, September 13), pre-sale tickets were still put up for sale, and a promised lineup reveal never arrived. The PETA target had previously delayed the festival from April to October 2024. “Dearest Virginia, I love you with all my heart,” he wrote to fans. “Nobody loves you more than I do. Virginia doesn’t deserve better, Virginia deserves THE BEST. So SOMETHING IN THE WATER has to match that. It just isn’t ready yet.
“That’s why we as a team have decided that we must postpone this year’s SOMETHING IN THE WATER festival that was due to take place in October,” Pharrell’s statement continued. “This is not a Pharrell festival, this is the state of Virginia’s festival so it has to be the best. Virginia made me, and I want to honor it with as much love as it’s shown me my entire life. And you know me, everywhere I go it’s VA. I am so grateful to our amazing sponsors and the city for their continued support and trust in us to get this right, and that time is April 2025.”

Pharrell’s Statement On Something In The Water Festival’s Postponement
Furthermore, refunds will take effect for debit/credit card ticket purchases and can be redeemed at the Veterans United Home Loan Amphitheater’s ticket office in the case of in-person sales. These ticket holders for the 2024 Something In The Water festival will have first access to tickets once the new dates go live. It’s a sad development for Pharrell, music fans, his supporters, and the city of Virginia. But he’s got more to look forward to, such as his Piece By Piece LEGO biopic.
Elsewhere, Pharrell also revealed during an interview that he and his Neptunes partner Chad Hugo aren’t on speaking terms. “But I love him, and I always wish him the absolute best, and I’m very grateful for our time together,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. This rift is due to a legal dispute over the rights and trademarks of the duo’s name. We’ll see if they can come to an agreement.

I hope Drake isn’t going around saying that. Because why wouldn’t you do the Super Bowl? Of course you would.
“If you took the time to write a rap that says ‘Big as the Super Bowl,’ then you understand the magnitude of the Super Bowl and you would absolutely do the Super Bowl,” Charlamagne Tha God theorized. “I don’t believe that. “So clearly, Jay-Z’s not hating on nobody,” Charlamagne Tha God continued. “He’s helped Wayne, he’s ‘offered’ Drake the Super Bowl, which I don’t even believe. I don’t believe that happened. But let’s just say hypothetically that he did. [He either offered you the Super Bowl] or he’s hating. He liked the post about Cam saying, ‘I guess Jay was hating.’ He didn’t say Jay, he just said one person is hating, he never said who it was. I saw [Drake] like the post. So if you liked the post – I forgot what site he was on. But if you liked the post and then you turn around and say you’ve been invited to do the Super Bowl and you turned it down? Like, eh.
“Unless he was invited before [Jay-Z became the curator] of the halftime show, but I don’t know,” Charlamange Tha God concluded. “I don’t believe that. Let’s be clear. Travis Scott’s Jam-Packed Brazil Concert Causes Earthquake
Travis Scott and lit shows go together like peanut butter and jelly. If the show isn’t shaking the literal foundations of the earth, then it’s not one of his shows. We say that because once again, Travis Scott has caused an earthquake, according to reports from HipHopDX and Complex. This past Wednesday, La Flame was putting on a concert in São Paulo, Brazil, a city that’s seen plenty of activity lately. Over the last week or so, The Weeknd performed some of his upcoming album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, and then the NFL had its first-ever game in the famous locale.
Clearly, all of that excitement and energy was carried over into Scott’s event. As you can see below (in gorgeous overhead shots), it appears to be sold out. About 46,000 people were in attendance and when you have someone like him performing rager after rager, things are going to get buck wild. To no surprise, they did, as local news stations reported shaking that was actual visible to the naked eye.

If you remember, a similar thing happened in Rome last summer right around the release of UTOPIA. He stopped at the Circus Maximus stadium and there a 1.3 magnitude earthquake occurred. With all of this excitement still around his fourth studio album, Scott sees that fans are “FE!N[ing]” for more, which is why he’s back in album mode once again. We can only imagine that more ground-shaking shows on the horizon at this point.

On Yung Miami’s latest episode of her Caresha Please podcast, she got into a whole lot of topics with Rick Ross. While Chrisean’s supporters are certainly happy for the reality star, not everything in her life has been smooth sailing since her release. Earlier this week, she took to Twitter/X to ask her followers for help finding a good rehab facility for her mother Charla. She claimed that Charla has been struggling with addiction, and offered a prayer for her wellbeing. “Mommy you did ya best I love you I’m praying for restoration I love love love you amen amen amen So do anyone know about any great marriage rehabs in DMV pls Dm them !” she wrote in part.
The father of Chrisean’s child, Blueface, is also currently behind bars. Last month, the “Thotiana” rapper was handed a four-year sentence, and he’s since been moved from the Men’s Central Jail in downtown LA to North Kern State Prison in central California. His new mugshot made its rounds online a few weeks back, showcasing what seems to be a fairly drastic physical transformation.
