Young Thug Trial: New Judge Denies His Latest Attempt At Bond

Young Thug’s latest motion to get bond has been denied by the YSL RICO trial’s new judge, Paige Reese Whitaker. His attorneys outlined the reasons he should have the opportunity in a motion they presented, last week. Responding to the motion, Whitaker said in court: “I am not going to reconsider any bond issues that have already been ruled on absent legitimate changed circumstances,” as caught by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

In response, Thug’s lawyer, Brian Steele, claimed that the conditions the rapper is facing behind bars warrant his bond. “Those are not the kinds of changed circumstances that speak to the Ayala factors. So I’m not going to reconsider the bond,” Whitaker argued back. In the original motion, Thug’s legal team put forth several arguments as to why he should get out on bond. They included the fact that he’s not a flight risk and is also innocent until proven guilty.

“In the Great State of Georgia, unlike other States, for purposes of pretrial bond analysis, the presumption of innocence remains with the person accused of an offense, even a capital offense, from arrest and even during trial…” the motion read. “That means, prior to and during trial, Courts view the criminally accused to be innocent of the charges waged against him/her. It has been written that the most fundamental premise of our criminal justice system is that the criminally accused cannot be punished for an offense until the prosecution proves guilt beyond a reasonable doubt… Thus, the granting of a reasonable pretrial bond must be preserved. Otherwise, the presumption of innocence, secured only after centuries of struggle, would lose its meaning.”

Cardi B Asserts That Others Are Using Her As A “Marketing Plan” And Fans Don’t Want To Hear It

It’s no secret that Cardi B is taking her sweet time getting her sophomore album out on the open market. 2018 was the year she put out her GRAMMY-winning debut LP, Invasion of Privacy. Since that run in the late 2010s decade, the New York rapper has been going fairly strong thanks to a couple of big singles such as “WAP”, “Up”, as well as several features. With all of this time in between full-length projects, her Barti Gang has been waiting around for the drought to come to an end. You could argue that her staunchest critics want to see the hitmaker do the same, but perhaps for a different reason.

It’s clear it has to do with the fact that she is making headlines because of her constant rants on the industry, politics, and her personal life. Additionally, the haters are fed up with Cardi B’s victim/overly defensive mentality when it comes to receiving any negativity. A lot of people are feeling this way after asserting that her contemporaries are using her as a “marketing plan”. It’s not really clear what caused her to lash out, but, according to The Jasmine Brand, it might have something to do with listeners labeling her recent Rob49 collab a bust.

Eminem Mocks Drake And LeBron James’ Infamous “The Shop” Clip

Eminem channeled Drake and LeBron James during his appearance on Complex’s The Face-Off series, on Tuesday, to mock the infamous encounter between the two on HBO’s The Shop. Drake famously recalled texting the NBA legend about whether he had let him down, to which James remarked that he could never let him down. With his Face-Off appearance, Eminem went head to head with his alter ego, Slim Shady.

“Look man, did you text me after ‘awfully hot coffee pot’ or not?” Shady asks Eminem in the viral clip, referencing his 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards cypher. Fans have been sharing laughs about the joke on social media. “That Drake clip is still crazy to this day,” one user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote. Another remarked: “LeBron is only two years older than Drake bro this clip is crazy.” The interview comes as the Detroit rapper continues to promote his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).

Elsewhere in the interview, he goes head-to-head with Shady to discuss his relevancy. “Everything that people think of when they think of Eminem is f*cking yours truly. Kodak Black Appears To Swallow Pills While On His Path To Sobriety: Watch

Kodak Black’s personal life, sadly, is one of inconsistency. It seems like when he’s about to turn over a new leaf, he reverts back to his head-scratching habits. To clarify, though, we are certainly not saying that overcoming steady issues are easy. It’s why seeing Kodak Black seemingly take pills once again is truly a sad sight to witness. According to HipHopDX, the Pompano Beach, Florida rapper did so via Instagram Live. Watching the clip, it seems to be the same one where he was offering cheaper features and a discounted birthday party performance. The supposed pill popping appears to take happen before the price negotiations were the topic of discussion. Kodak does note that he’s been feeling much better since embarking on his sobriety excursion.

However, it seems something overcame him mentally for him to go through with this decision. After the reshared clip blurs out the pills in his hand, as well as his face, Black says that he’s “finna glitch real quick”. Hopefully, this means that it’s a one-and-done scenario. But one slip-up could cause him to spiral. As we said, this is disheartening to see, especially with so many fans highlighting the fact that Kodak looks better physically since he’s gone clean.

Tia Kemp wants her and Rick Ross to film a reality series together and made the proposition in a recent video on social media. She described it as a “farm ranch show.” Her suggestion comes after she demanded the rapper pay her $200,000 to cover their son’s college tuition costs.

The offer began with some of Kemp’s standard insults toward Ross. “You’s a lying-ass fatback b*tch and I’m tired of you seeking muthaf*ckin attention,” she said. “You want this attention, you come over here. Former partner of Joe Budden, Cyn Santana, has some big news! According to The Shade Room, the musical artist and reality TV star is expecting her second child. The news outlet found this out through an announcement on her Instagram page showing off her baby bump. “Life been showing out lately 🤍”, she said in the first of two posts. In both, the “Come” talent is wearing an all-white ensemble with a middle cut out revealing her belly in all its glory. Cyn Santana’s second pregnant post has two photos from what appears to be a black and white tinged photoshoot. “Big mama, big blessed 🥰🤍✨”, the caption reads.

This is certainly one heck of a bombshell as there has been hardly any indication that the Love & Hip-Hop contestant was in the midst of her pregnancy. Obviously, this leads to the obvious questions of when did this happen and with who? Well, all of that is currently unknown as well, as Cyn never announced how far in she is and there are no posts of who the baby daddy is. Joe Budden’s name is in the mix by default, but The Shade Room cites some past comments that would probably disprove that theory.

Kai Cenat Reacts Harshly To Fanum’s Arrest, Calls NYPD “A Gang”

Twitch streamers Kai Cenat and Fanum are part of a YouTube video creation team called AMP. AMP recently moved into a penthouse in New York City after spending several years in Atlanta. However, they were evicted for unspecified reasons just a few days later. Cenat and Fanum are both from The Bronx, so a move back to New York City doubled as a homecoming for the two.

During the Dominican Day Parade, NYPD pointed a gun at Fanum and seized his car, a purple Lamborghini Urus. His driver, Walton, was handcuffed. Fanum later claimed that he had a permit to ride along the parade route. Fanum’s own livestream captured footage of the arrest, and he confirmed his intent to sue on his Instagram story after safely arriving home. The NYPD later said that the vehicle was stopped because there were no license plates on it. Cenat reacted to the arrest and subsequent NYPD officer photos posing with the seized car on his stream.

Kai Cenat Reacts To Fanum’s Arrest

“NYPD is a gang. Do you hear what I’m saying to you? NYPD be moving like a gang, and nobody will listen to me,” said Kai Cenat. “Not even the GTA V cops do this sh*t, dude.” He also mocked the officer’s photo op, asking what his badge number was since it was not visible in the Instagram posts. Cenat also argued that pulling a gun on Fanum was excessive, since Fanum was not doing anything that would necessitate such an escalation.

Of course, people might remember that this is not the first time Fanum has been arrested. In August 2023, the NYPD took both Fanum and Cenat into custody. What started as a PS5 giveaway quickly turned into a riot in Union Square. They were not in custody for very long, though their arrest sparked debates over what responsibility content creators have in managing their fans. Hopefully, this latest situation gets resolved quickly. If nothing else, fans are very happy that nothing worse came from such a potentially harmful situation.
