50 Cent has built an impressive empire for himself and his family, and evidently, it’s paid off monetarily too. Aside from a successful music career, he’s taken over the realm of entertainment with several hit series and launched the second-largest Black-owned production studio in Shreveport earlier this year. Now, he’s reportedly approaching billionaire status, though he tells US Weekly that the feat isn’t all that exciting to him.

“I’m not in a hurry to reach billionaire status,” he explained. “I’ve reached a point where I don’t want anything I don’t have. What’s the rush? I’ve bought every car I wanted, multiple times over.” Moreover, Fif noted that being extremely wealthy can put you at risk, as everyone’s looking to get a piece of the pie.

50 Cent Still Wants A Discount

“When people publicly say you’re a billionaire, they come for what you have,” he described. “The IRS might suddenly decide they want 58 percent of your money. The ambulance chasers, the attorneys — it’s an army of ’em after you.” Regardless, 50 Cent decided to celebrate his accomplishments on Instagram today. He shared an article about how he’s almost a billionaire, adding that this doesn’t mean he’s trying to pay full price for things if he doesn’t have to.

“I don’t want this to make you think I don’t need a discount, because I want a discount. LOL,” he said. While it’s unclear exactly when 50 Cent will officially become a billionaire, it was recently reported that Young Buck is preparing to pay off his $250K debt. A $1 billion lawsuit against him from a former drug kingpin was also recently dismissed, as well as another $40 million wiretapping lawsuit. Michael Rubin says that he asked the DJs at his Fourth of July party not to play Kendrick Lamar’s hit diss track, “Not Like Us,” out of respect for his friend, Drake. Speaking about the viral beef during an interview with The Breakfast Club, the Fanatics founder explained that he didn’t want to make the Toronto rapper uncomfortable while he was in attendance.

“It was true,” Rubin admitted on the latest episode of the show. “I just didn’t think it was appropriate, so I said, ‘Hey, let’s not play anyone’s music that’s feuding with anyone here.’ That was a me decision. I just thought it wasn’t the appropriate thing to do.”

According to him, The Boy doesn’t have as much of an appreciation for the former’s hometown rap scene as the latter would have you believe. This is something that Sauce has expressed since 2015 way back when Drizzy held his Houston Appreciation Weekend. However, pretty recently, these two have reconciled, so bringing these feelings back to the surface is a little interesting. Overall, it seems that the trend in hip-hop for 2024 is to pile on the Canadian megastar.

As for what Sauce had to say exactly, here are a couple of quotes from his sit-down with Charlamagne tha God and the crew. “Still to this day, why does Drake not have a bunch of records with Houston artists? You’ve been doing that with Atlanta. It’s 7, 8, 9, 15 artists that you got songs with in Atlanta”. “Travis Scott is still the only rapper that’s got a song with Drake.
