Despite Chris Brown and Quavo dragging her name through the mud in their response diss tracks to each other, Saweetie and her partner YG are seemingly partying through it all. Moreover, they recently went on a club outing for one of Power 106‘s anniversary parties on Thursday night (April 25). While it’s obviously impossible to assume their attitudes, mental spaces, and moods with just one clip, it seems like they were at least relaxed and just happy to be there. Whether or not they’re actually worrying about this situation or whether it’s caused a bump on their journey, they’re certainly not letting the cameras find out.

Furthermore, for those unaware, Saweetie actually responded to Quavo mentioning that he can turn any model into her by posting a screenshot of an alleged DM that the former Migo sent her back in January, which she still hadn’t opened. He hasn’t responded to this move publicly at press time, and we wonder whether or not he thought that his bars would come across as more defensive than mocking. Regardless, she hasn’t really said much about Chris Brown and about how he claimed to have slept with her while she was with Quavo in the first place, opening up this whole can of worms. This is all mostly speculative, but you can start to see where the tea really gets interesting in this whole debacle.

In thrilling fashion, Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the New York Knicks last night 125 – 114. The series has been a physical battle, and the Sixers have been frustrated by the physicality. After game 2, Embiid and the Sixers were unhappy with the officiating after their heartbreaking loss. The team filed an official grievance with the league over missed calls, which they believe cost them the game. As the series headed to Philadelphia, tension was in the air. game 3 was another physical game, but the Sixers came out on top due to an incredible performance from Joel Embiid.

Embiid dropped 50 points on the Knicks in what is his best playoff performance to date. Embiid is still working his way back from the knee injury that put him on the sideline for months. It was an amazing performance and a signal to the league that this is a different Embiid this playoffs. Embiid is also apparently suffering from another thing that is affecting his health. The MVP center is reportedly suffering from Bell’s Palsy and is playing through it, making his performance even more impressive.

Joel Embiid Is Playing Through Bell’s Palsy

Reportedly, Joel Embiid has been treated this past week for a mild case of Bell’s Palsy. His plight with the condition began during the Sixer’s matchup with the Miami Heat in the Play-in tournament. The news is coming out now after the team, and Embiid sought to keep the matter private. Embiid did not want the diagnosis to cause a distraction. He has been seen wearing sunglasses post and pre-game as well as holding his head down due to bright lights. Bell’s Palsy causes sudden weakness in the muscles on one side of someone’s face. During recent games, you can see Embiid only blinking with one eye.

Joel Embiid’s performance was already impressive. He dropped 50 while clearly not 100% his dominant self. Now we know he is also suffering from a serious condition called Bell’s Palsy. The Sixers star was unstoppable last night, and credit to him for fighting through all of his adversity. The Knicks-Sixers series has been a rollercoaster of emotions. It is physical playoff basketball that needs to be appreciated. The drama is only going to get more dramatic. Game 4 can’t come soon enough.

Big Sean Teases New Album During 2024 NFL Draft Show

Big Sean joined Eminem and Smokey Robinson as celebrity musicians who, in one way or another, formed part of the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit, Michigan on Thursday night (April 25). Moreover, in his case, he gave fans and patrons a 30-minute set spanning over some of his biggest-ever hits, dedicating a couple to football players and teams while making his love for the Detroit Lions very clear. However, most excitingly for hip-hop fans, the Detroit MC teased that he’s working hard on his next album, which would be the follow-up to 2020’s Detroit 2. Considering how much hardcore fans and non-believers liked not just that album, but also his recent material, then we have a potential smash hit in the cards coming very soon.

Furthermore, this includes the rapper’s most recent single, “Precision,” and something that this performance proved as well. It was great to see him revisit his catalog with some revamped skill and all that he’s learned throughout his extensive and wide-ranging career. Big Sean also remarked on how this was his first hometown show in almost two years. “The fact I went to school right around the corner from here…” he recalled. “I used to record right around the corner at my homie’s studio, and this was all I ever wanted to do, man. So I just gotta say thank you for anybody who’s ever heard a song of mine, sang it at a bar, purchased a song.”

Big Sean Performing At The 2024 NFL Draft

Elsewhere, the 36-year-old spoke on how he almost got a truly legendary hometown crossover to happen, but it just didn’t pan out. “It reminded me of an old Eminem [beat,” Big Sean said in an Essence cover story about a J Dilla instrumental he had while working on Detroit 2. “And when I sent it to Em, he was like, ‘Man, I like the Dilla beat, for sure. I get it.’” Apparently, Marshall Mathers chose to join the posse cut “Friday Night Cypher” instead.

He has millions of followers on the platform, and he was one of the most subscribed to creators. Although he has had his fair share of controversies, there is no doubt that the fans still rock with him. Now, however, it seems as though Kai is at odds with none other than Kanye West. When Ye gets mad at someone, he will typically hold the grudge, and that has held true for his issues with Cenat.

It all started when Kai bought some Yeezy pants from Ye’s website. Once he got the clothes, he quickly realized that they didn’t fit very well. This led to a hilarious moment on stream that Ye did not find particularly funny. He eventually got into Kai’s DMs and accused him of being paid off by Adidas. Subsequently, during an interview with Justin Laboy, Ye claimed that Cenat was an “industry plant.” During his most recent stream, Cenat decided to address this comment, and he did not hold back.

As you can see in the video above, Cenat notes that he has been streaming and making content since 2018. Furthermore, he makes it clear that this feud should have never happened, in the first place. Had Ye just sent him some pants that fit, there would be no problems. Either way, it feels like a feud that was very easily avoidable. Hopefully, cooler heads can prevail here, and the two get on some good terms.

On Thursday, Trump returned to a Manhattan court for his criminal trial connected to hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election. To refresh, he is facing 35 felony counts. 

Here are key takeaways from Thursday’s court action:

1. Tabloid publisher David Pecker of the National Enquirer knew ‘catch and kill’ payments to ensure stories never saw the light of day was a violation of federal election laws.

2. Pecker testified that Trump was not worried in the slightest about his family learning of his alleged affair with Stormy Daniels. He said Trump showed no concern about the potential damage his family would receive after enduring his alleged extramarital affairs asserted by both Karen McDougal and Daniels. 

3. Prosecutors say Trump has continuously violated gag orders. Judge Juan Merchan barred Trump from speaking publicly or on social media about individuals involved in the case.

The judge will be ruling on allegations that Trump violated the gag order at least 10 times.

4. On Thursday, the Defense began their cross-examination of Pecker by Emil Bove.

A CNN Poll conducted by SSRS found that just 13% nationwide feel Donald Trump is being treated the same as other criminal defendants. A majority of the nation was divided over whether Trump is being treated more harshly (34%) or more leniently (34%) than other defendants. Only 44% of Americans believe that the jury will make a fair verdict, and 56% are more skeptical that a fair result will happen.
