J Cole Forgets His Verse While Performing With Bas

J Cole forgot his verse to his 2018 collaboration with Bas, “Tribe,” while coming out at the rapper’s show in New York City on Tuesday night. When they attempted to perform the track, Cole quickly got lost and had to rely on fans for help. Despite being fed several lines, he still couldn’t come up with what he penned for the single.

Cole’s fanbase shared their dismay on Twitter. “Delete this bro idk how much more I can take,” one user wrote. Another added: “LMAO that’s sad considering it’s Bas most known song.” One more fan brought up the song making it on the FIFA 19 soundtrack.

The incident comes after Cole made headlines, last weekend, for apologizing to Kendrick Lamar amid their ongoing feud. “I’m so proud of that project except for one part,” Cole said. “There’s one part of that sh*t that makes me feel like, ‘Man, that’s the lamest sh*t I ever did in my f*cking life.’ And, I know this is not what a lot of people wanna hear. I can hear my n****s up there right now like, ‘Nah, don’t do that.’ But, I gotta keep it 100 with y’all. I damn near had a relapse.” He further labeled Lamar one of the all-time greats and announced he plans to take “7 Minute Drill” off streaming services.

Moreover, a fan took a photo with each of them at an undisclosed store on Thursday (December 28) and posted them both, and they appeared separately, of course. It seems like, amid their breakup, they still don’t want to appear together in such a public way… or this was just a wild coincidence and both rappers were in the Big Apple on their own paths. In addition, fans also confirmed via other pictures and their fits in them that this all apparently happened the same day.

Furthermore, this comes just a couple of days after Cardi B seemed to suggest that she and Offset aren’t getting back together anytime soon. Many fans expressed wishes for this to happen online, but she liked a tweet suggesting that they’re getting their hopes up. Regardless, it’s at least heartening to see that they apparently can still hang out together and will likely maintain a pretty amicable relationship. Speaking with CNN, Disney confirmed that the film did not currently have a release date. Searchlight Pictures, a subsidiary of Disney, acquired the distribution rights to the film after it opened to rave reviews at Sundance. Furthermore, Disney’s live-action Snow White film starring Rachel Zegler has been pushed back from March 2024 to March 2025.

Additionally, according to an extensive report from Variety, Marvel is reportedly considering what action to take over the ongoing Majors situation. At a retreat in September, studio execs discussed various backup plans if the actor is found guilty at his trial. Majors was meant to be the crux of the next era of the MCU. However, the actor’s assault charges have put that into jeopardy. While he has appeared in the most recent season of Loki, it’s likely the last time Majors will be seen in the MCU for some time. “Marvel is truly f-cked with the whole Kang angle. And they haven’t had an opportunity to rewrite until very recently [because of the WGA strike]. But I don’t see a path to how they move forward with him,” one high-ranking executive said.
