2 Chainz & Lil Wayne Discuss Their Upcoming Album

Lil Wayne spoke on working alongside 2 Chainz, claiming that their chemistry made creating the LP pretty seamless. “The way me and 2 Chainz work is it’s like water,” he explained. “You know what I mean? Just like water. It just flows. So it wasn’t too much of a process other than getting songs cleared and stuff like that. Yeah.”

“That’s a process nowadays. I agree. Yeah,” 2 Chainz responded, revealing why he enjoys working with Lil Wayne so much. “I think the project we’ve been working on, I’ve been saying it for some time, we are constantly two artists that work every night, challenge each other. You know what I’m saying? Go against the grain, try to find production that doesn’t sound like other people and just try to stay in our own space. So I really… And I tell you this all the time, I really enjoy working with you. You know what I’m saying?” What do you think of Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz debuting two new tracks on Young Money Radio? On October 20, multiple publications, including us, reported that NLE Choppa’s mother, Angela Potts, was extremely concerned about her son’s whereabouts. Many were concerned, especially his mother. However it was more of false alarm, as NLE went back to his old neighborhood of Cottonwood to work on music. His debut project is pays homage to it as well as his most recent LP. In fact, NLE filmed a music video there for a hot freestyle and single, “CMON FREESTYLE.”

Mariah The Scientist Brings On Young Thug, 21 Savage And More For “To Be Eaten Alive”

Atlanta, Georgia singer and songwriter, Mariah the Scientist is in a relationship with Young Thug. However, R&B fans know there is more than just that to her. She is an extremely talented and gifted voice in the space. She is proving that once again on her third project, To Be Eaten Alive. Believe it or not, the rollout for this project began almost a year ago to the day. The first single “Bout Mine,” perfectly showcases the artist’s range.

After that though, it would be quite a while before the next taster. The next track from Mariah, “From A Woman,” features more minimal production, leaving space for her higher and lower register. Then, just a couple of days prior, she put out one more song, “Different Pages.” This year-long wait brings us to a 10-song effort at just under 28 minutes.

Gucci Mane Unleashes 24-Track Project “Breath Of Fresh Air” Featuring J. Cole, Lil Baby, & More

One of the founding fathers of trap rap is back with their brand new album. Gucci Mane delivers a massive project with plenty of familiar faces. The title, Breath of Fresh Air, is a little bit misleading. Guwop, while a respected legend no doubt, is not really bringing anything new to the subgenre.

The rapper has put out tons of massive albums and mixtapes. In fact, this is his 16th album to date. On top of that, the beats are what you come to know him for as well. Gucci really is not turning a new leaf with this record.

Listen To Breath Of Fresh Air From Gucci Mane

There are still some standout songs in the tracklist, however. You have J. Cole and Mike WiLL Made-It on one of the singles leading up to the release. “Glizock & Wizop” with Key Glock is another fun listen, too. But, it just is not anything new or enticing for trap. Especially, with it containing 24 cuts and over an hour in length, its another bloated tape more than anything else. Still give it a listen above.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new album from Gucci Mane, Breath of Fresh Air? Is this the rapper’s best project excluding mixtapes? Nigerian-born and Canada-raised, TOBi, is back with a brand new tape for his listeners. They have been clamoring for it and for good reason. It has been three years since the last full-length release from him. That last album was ELEMENTS Vol.1 and before that was his debut in 2019 with STILL. TOBi specializes in the hip-hop, rap, R&B, and soul genres. He does it all with a silky smooth voice on the mic. The anticipation for this latest tape, PANIC, began all the way back in September of last year.

The lead single was actually a song for the Netflix film, Do Revenge. It starred Maya Hawke and Camila Mendes and the movie and track came out on the same day. Following that, we would get seven more singles, so eight in total. Unfortunately, while the songs are well produced and performed with lots of charisma, the hype slowly trailed with nearly the entire album being put out little by little.

Pewee Longway Returns With New Album “Who Am I?”

One of the OGs of trap rap is Pewee Longway. Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia he familiarized himself with all of the legends of his time and now he continues to carry the subgenre forward. Of course, he has learned so much from his mentor Gucci Mane, who is undoubtedly one of those founding fathers. Pewee famously signed with Guwop’s 1017 label right before he went to prison.

He released many mixtapes and other projects throughout that time. While he is not making a lot of noise in the headlines as of late, that does not mean people are not eager to hear more music. It has been a year since the release of his last album, Live a Lil. On top of that, Peewee’s first solo single did not come until late August.

MIKE Drops Massive 24-Track Project “Burning Desire”

Abstract New York rapper MIKE is easily having one of the best years out of anyone right now. While some of our readers might not know who he is, MIKE has been dominant in the underground scene. He has landed on numerous projects of similar artists in his lane. One of which was the highly-anticipated release of Earl Sweatshirt and The Alchemist’s collaborative effort, VOIR DIRE.

However, his greatest moment, at least right now from critics and HNHH alike is his recent effort with The Alchemist. Cali and NY came together for an Album of the Year contender with Faith Is A Rock. It came out just a couple of weeks ago and he and his rapping partner, Wiki, were the perfect complements to the sonic backdrops. Now, MIKE might be competing with himself at this point with his album, Burning Desire.

DaBaby Drops Brand New Three Pack “LET’S DO IT”

DaBaby’s output in 2023 has been steady, however, there is no full project from him this year. It all started back on January 26 with the release of “JOC IN ’06.” Following that, we got a little three-pack, CALL DA FIREMAN. It was an appropriate title seeing as DaBaby was bringing plenty of heat to the table with tracks like “SHAKE SUMN.” It got even hotter when Sexyy Red joined in on the remix. Finally, on September 29, we got one more solo single, “TRICKIN’.” But, DaBaby was not satisfied with only releasing music on streaming platforms.

Over the course of just a few days, the rapper put his freestyle skills through the ringer. DaBaby tested his abilities to rap over four different beats. The first one saw him murder the “Peaches & Eggplants” beat. He slayed Ice Spice’s “Deli” next. Finally, he flexed his muscles on Gunna’s smash hit “fukumean” and Burna Boy’s “Sittin’ On Top Of The World.”

Listen To LET’S DO IT From DaBaby

Now, DaBaby is here with another set of high-energy cuts with his second three-pack, LET’S DO IT. All three are solo tracks and the titles are “CRASH THE JEEP,” “NO FINSTA,” and “D!CK.” He teased this on his Instagram about six days ago in quick video of him working out. DaBaby captioned the post, “From da plane to da PAINT! ✈🌍🏋🏿‍♂️ #CRASHTHEJEEP 💨” Then, he let the cat out of the bag by posting the cover art and title about a day ago. He pays it forward to local North Carolina producers having them craft beats for every song. This “S*** HIT LIKE STARBUCKS IN THE MORNING & I HATE COFFEE ☕☕☕” We agree DaBaby, we agree.

What are your initial thoughts on DaBaby’s three brand new tracks, “CRASH THE JEEP,” “NO FINSTA,” and “D!CK?” Out of all these, which one do you think is best? Is this something to just tide over fans for a bigger release later this year? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Peezy Enlists Ty Dolla $ign, Larry June, BabyTron, And More For New Album “GHETTO”

Peezy’s strong year continues with the release of his brand new album, GHETTO. It is the Detroit MC’s 22nd (!) project to date, showing how quick and hard-working he is to get material out to his fans. This fast turnaround is nothing new for Peezy, considering he dropped five tapes in 2017. For 2023, the rapper already has two other LPs out now.

The first of them was a collaborative effort with Baltimore rapper Yg Teck on February 17. That was a 15-track album. The second was a shorter effort, standing at just eight cuts. Interestingly though, it is also called GHETTO, which was put out on April 21. This newer GHETTO is more of a full-fleshed-out set of songs. None of them from the one back in April appear in this October edition.
