G-Eazy is an artist who has been around for over a decade at this point. Overall, he has built a pretty massive fanbase. Although he isn’t always considered part of the hip-hop establishment, he is still an artist who seems to secure big features. His longevity is certainly admirable, and he has had enough hits to keep himself eating for years to come. That said, G-Eazy is clearly still hungry as he is always looking to drop new music.

For instance, today, the artist came through with a brand-new song. This track is simply called “Lady Killers III” and it is a third installment in a long-running series for G-Eazy. In fact, the last time he gave us a “Lady Killers” track was all the way back in 2014. That said, for long-time fans of the artist, today is certainly a joyous occasion as he is taking them back to one of the most beloved times in his career. 4batz Wrestles With Being In A Toxic Relationship On “Act V: There Goes Another Vase”

The industry plant is back! If you do not know who we are talking about, we are referring to the Dallas, Texas singer and balladeer 4batz. He essentially blew up out of nowhere with his smash single “act ii: date @ 8” and it is by far his most popular song. It currently sits at over 132 million streams and to popularize it even more, he added Drake on a remix. With all of this support from the OVO label, the new kid on the block is getting ready to drop his debut mixtape. But before that 4batz has one more single, “act v: there goes another vase,” for us.

This is now the fourth single for 4batz’s project u made me a st4r. Originally, the project was due much sooner than its new date, May 3. Original reports, including one from The Neighborhood Talk, said that he would be making his big entrance on April 5. However, things clearly fell through, and now we are just two days away from seeing what the rookie has to offer.

There is a good chance Drake and the label are looking to see how he performs over the next few months or so to see if he is worth a long-term look. Madlib & Your Old Droog Preview Their Upcoming LP With “REEKYOD” Featuring Black Thought

Madlib and Your Old Droog continue to build and strengthen their work relationship with another new single “REEKYOD.” This is now the second offering we have received from this acclaimed duo in the last few weeks. “DBZ” was their last effort and that lyrical powerhouse of a track included extra bars from Denzel Curry and Method Man. On that single, Denzel was making some noise on it by apparently dissing Kendrick Lamar. “‘Cause using big words don’t make you lyrical / And going backwards in a swimmin’ pool don’t make you spiritual.” While “REEKYOD” does not have any subliminal shots, it does have gritty production and adept lyrics from Droog and Black Thought.

According to Stereogum, Madlib and Droog are gearing up to drop a collaboration album in the near future. For the decorated producer, it will be his third project of the year, following up YHWH is LOVE and Liberation 2. For the Brooklynite, it will be his first record in about a year and a half since YOD Presents: The Shining. According to The Source, Droog shared how thrilled he was to be a part of this song, as well as the project on the way.

Polo Perks, AyooLii Are Carefree On FearDorian-Produced “Ricky Eats Acid”

At the beginning of 2024 we introduced a new rapper to you via an Artists You Need To Check Out Right Now piece. It is a series we are running throughout the calendar year, introducing smaller names that we feel deserve recognition. One of the first to be shouted out was Milwaukee, Wisconsin rapper, AyooLii. He works alongside producer FearDorian quite often, and today he is teaming up with him once again. However, this is not an AyooLii exclusive track. “Ricky Eats Acid,” is a single from Harlem, New York rapper Polo Perks (POLO PERKS <3 <3 <3).”

Like AyooLii, Polo Perks, makes trap rap with a bit of a hazy and laid-back approach. “Ricky Eats Acid” fits that description too, although the energy is higher this time around. Polo sports a husky cadence over the simple beat and looping, ghostly background vocals. This track follows up two 2023 collaborations for Perks and it is his first solo release since March of last year.

You can tell from the music video that the “ALLYNDALE DR” MC has a lot of fun making music. That is evident from the song’s tone, but also from the music video. Kendrick Lamar Unloads A 6 Minute Clip Into Drake With “Euphoria” Diss Response

Kendrick Lamar has just hurdled quite a large missile in Drake’s direction with a surprise diss response called “euphoria.” There was zero promotion or a heads up that something was coming from the Compton, California native. But this was the best way to go about it because now everyone is rushing to check it out and dissect the various shots. The multi-faceted Cardo-produced track sees Kendrick attack Drake from all sorts of angles. He calls him a fraud and a “bad b****,” as he addresses “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle.”

The six-minute song begins with a slower more chill vibe with a guitar looming in the mix. However, this is not your typical reflective K-Dot. He is looking for blood right from the start as he sings, “Them superpowers gettin’ neutralized… / The famous actor we once knew is lookin’ paranoid, now it’s spiralling / You movin’ just like a degenerate, heavy antic, it’s feelin’ distasteful.” Then, the aggressive trap beat kicks in at around the 55 second mark and all hell breaks loose.

Kamasi Washington Delivers Funky Collab “Get Lit” With George Clinton & D Smoke

Los Angeles, California based saxophonist and overall icon, Kamasi Washington, is back with another single “Get Lit.” This is now the veteran’s fourth offering from his upcoming album Fearless Movement, which is slated for release this Friday, May 3. So far, Kamasi has unleashed “Prologue,” “The Garden Path,” as well as “Dream State” featuring Andre 3000. There has not been a single miss and “Get Lit” is no exception. This time around, one of the kings of funk, George Clinton enters the mix, in addition to rapper D Smoke.

On this 3 minute and 26 second cut, Kamasi, George and Smoke, all bring great performances in their own way. This song will transport to another world with its dreamy and whimsical sound. It is extremely groovy and funky, and we are absolutely floating on a cloud listening to it. The back end of the song is especially captivating, with incredibly passionate flute playing.

NLE Choppa Dupes Fans With Surprising Kissing Photo

NLE Choppa’s new era has been his raunchiest yet and his fans are having mixed reactions to it. He just followed up one of his biggest hits to date “SLUT ME OUT” with a sequel fittingly titled “SLUT ME OUT 2.” The song sees Choppa getting very self-aware about how attractive he is to his female fans and the promotion surrounding the song has been fitting. Last week he dropped a photo shoot of himself in the bathtub with numerous rubber ducks, even recreating a classic Tupac photo in the process. Now a new piece of promotion for the song is once again grabbing fan’s attention.

“I Am Self Love, All Praises #SLUTSZN After this picture I had intercourse with my self. DUCK BOOT MAY 10TH” the bizarre caption to his new Instagram post reads. It makes more sense in context, attached to a photo of the rapper kissing himself. Or at least, he appears to kiss himself, but it’s just a deliberately placed mirror shot. The comments are full of fans who misread the post at first glance. “boy i thought u was kissin another n*gga” one comment says. “Low key gave me a jump scare” another agrees. Chancellor Bennett, aka Chance the Rapper, has been enjoying quite the resurgence over the past week or so. The once beloved singer and spitter from Chicago, Illinois is slowly rebuilding his image after his debut album, The Big Day, tarnished it. He did so by beginning the rollout for his forthcoming mixtape, Star Line, with a new single “Buried Alive” over the weekend. Some feel it is still too late for him, but that will not be stopping him one bit. Perhaps his determination has inspired his younger brother, Taylor Bennett, to drop a banger for the summer called “2 Much.”

Born three years apart, Taylor also operates in the hip-hop space but has not grown the same fan base over quite a lengthy career. But he should gain some fans after “2 Much” with King Louie and Lala2muchhh. This track is pure fun from beginning to end, with the instrumental being extremely loose and reminiscent of Jersey club. Taylor does not pop in until the latter half of the track, but he does not get lost in the shuffle.

PARTYNEXTDOOR Wants To See Things Through On “Make It To The Morning”

Over the weekend, the sensual R&B balladeer returned with PARTYNEXTDOOR 4 (P4), the first entry in the series since 2016. It is also his first record since 2020, so this is an exciting time to be fan of the Mississauga, Ontario native. One song that we have been enjoying from this new PARTYNEXTDOOR album is “Make It To The Morning.”

The veteran sticks to his tried-and-true formula of moody slow-mo sounds on this cut, just like the rest of the album does. “M a k e I t T o T h e M o r n i n g” sees PARTY singing passionately about wanting to give this girl he is seeing a chance, even though she seems to be problematic. It appears that this song is depicting their first time seeing each other and instead of his normal routine and of a same-night stand, he wants to make it to the next day.
