Yo Gotti And Young Dolph’s Accused Killer Get Called Out In Jay Fizzle’s New Track

Yesterday (September 28), Jay Fizzle dropped of his new track, “FREE STR8DROPP,“ alongside an accompanying music video. The rapper is signed to the late Young Dolph’s label, Paper Route Empire. Fans were quick to notice that Fizzle references the man accused of killing Young Dolph, Justin “Straight Drop” Johnson. It sounds like Fizzle would like Straight Drop to get released from prison, so he can see him face the punishment he thinks he deserves.

“Tell ’em free Drop / I wanna see a n***a dead, not locked,” he rhymes. Straight Drop wasn’t the only one to fall victim to a diss on the new track. Fizzle also threw a jab at Yo Gotti, who was known to have beef with Young Dolph before the rapper was shot and killed in 2021. “Y’all go tell that big head-a*s n***a Gotti he a b*tch,” Jay Fizzle says on the song.

Jay Fizzle also isn’t the only one to have called out Young Dolph’s alleged murderers on a song. Earlier this month, the late rapper’s fiancée, Mia Jaye, dedicated a emotional song to them. “How could you take a father from his family and kids / Mr. Shooter, dear Mr. Shooter, what the f**k was you thinkin’/ You done f**ked up now,” she sang in a clip.

Straight Drop also released a song of his own from behind bars last year, “No Statements.” He appears to claim he’s innocent on the track, insisting that he’s just “a rapper” while “the state say that [he’s] a paid killer.” Obviously, Paper Route Empire artists didn’t take to the track very well. “It seem like somebody giving up some statements,” Paper Route Woo said of the song. Armand Hammer Thinks “The Gods Must Be Crazy” On El-P Produced Track

New York rap duo Armand Hammer, consisting of billy woods and E L U C I D, is back with another lead single to their exciting upcoming project. We Buy Diabetic Test Strips will be out on this coming Friday, September 29. We have already got two other tracks from their seventh LP over the past month. One of the first tracks, “Woke Up and Asked Siri How I’m Gonna Die,” was very dystopian, thanks to JPEGMAFIA’s unique production style.

The one before that was titled “Trauma Mic.” That featured production from DJ Haram. It also had a guest appearance from Pink Siifu, a rapper and singer from Birmingham, Alabama. Genius is projecting that the album will contain 12 other new tracks.

Odd Future Makes Their Return In A Unique Way With “NEW FUTURE ERA”

Odd Future, collectively, has been out of the rap game for over 11 years. Their last effort together came on March 16, 2012. That release featured the most successful tracks in their short discography. The OF Tape Vol. 2 boasted featured 18 songs that only this group was capable of producing. Odd Future’s influence reached new heights with songs like “White,” “Oldie,” and “Analog 2.” Before that, the only other album was 12 Odd Future Songs.

There has not been much coverage of Odd Future’s return, though. It seems like it would be a bigger deal with how many fans were on board with their trailblazing style. But, here at HNHH, we are bringing you an update on the Los Angeles, California rap outfit. It is a massive one, with them coming back with a new single, “NEW FUTURE ERA.” However, the vocals are not what you might expect, and the song is very short.

Recently, Charlamagne Tha God was on his podcast with Andrew Schultz, where he revealed his thoughts on the Drake and SZA collaboration, “Slime You Out.” Ultimately, Charlamagne was not impressed, and he made that crystal clear. “I think we was looking for something a little more harder, a little more aggressive than this slow joint with SZA,” Charlamagne said. On Instagram last night, Drake finally decided to respond, and he did not pull any punches.

This week, Thouxanbanfauni and KEY! teamed up to drop a new single, “Out Sad.” The song features upbeat, energetic lyrics about keeping your head up despite obstacles. Boastful bars pair well with a cheerfully childlike instrumental, creative a fun and carefree single.

The new track follows the release of KEY!’s latest album, Marquis. The Atlanta underground mainstay kept the 11-track effort short and straight to the point, coming in at just over 26 minutes. Regardless, the LP boasts a variety of features, including tracks with Redd Smash, Jace, ManMan Savage, and more. “Sounds like Memorial Drive, sounds like North Dekalb mall, sounds like Stone Mountain, sounds like Golden Glides,” he says of the self-titled album.

As for Thouxanbanfauni, he dropped off a new song called “HIGH ROLLER” earlier this month, and appears to have a new album on the way. The Tennessee-born performer also unveiled a simple music video to accompany the laid-back track. His next project, LEAVING LOATHE, is scheduled for release in October of this year, though a specific release date has yet to be revealed. He provided fans with the album art in August as well as the tracklist, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the release. Logic And JRB Team Up For Hypnotic New Single “D.A.R.E”

Earlier this week, Logic dropped off a new single alongside JRB, “D.A.R.E.” The mellow track tells a tale of getting just a little too high for comfort, pairing amusing lyrics with hypnotic production. Logic teased the atmospheric song a few days back, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the drop.

Doja Cat’s Flows And Bars Are On Point With “97” From “Scarlet”

Doja Cat has been prepping fans to get ready for her renaissance for quite some time now. She is ditching the radio-friendly sound (for the most part) and embracing a more “masculine direction,” according to Genius. She spoke with Variety about where she wanted to take this LP. “I also agree with everyone who said the majority of my rap verses are mid and corny… I wasn’t trying to prove anything I just enjoy making music but I’m getting tired of hearing y’all say that i can’t so I will.” Well, how did she deliver on that promise? We would say that mostly meets those expectations.

When Doja does, she really impresses and there are plenty of examples. The lead single “Attention” is one that boasts nice flows and bars about being unapologetic for her new style and musical approach. “F*** The Girls (FTG)” is another cut that displays these same qualities. But debatably the highest lyrical point on the record is “97.”

Genius breaks down the lyrics below and there are many meanings for them. Horses is referencing the horsepower in cars and the fact that Doja is speeding suggets her car has lots of power. Medicating the horses is another way of saying she is modifying the vehicle to be even faster. However, it also means she could be intoxicated behind the wheel as horses refers to heroin. The PETA reference dates all the way back to one of her first hits, “MOOO!,” and the response she got from the organization. The animal-fur coats also plays along with it, on top of the red paint that Doja sported for the promotion of the record and her track “Paint The Town Red.” PETA activists are known to throw red paint on people wearing animal print too.
