Ryan Destiny Unveils Sultry New Single “How Your Hands Feel”

Last week, Ryan Destiny unveiled her first original song in a year, “How Your Hands Feel.” The sultry new single sees the Detroit native reminisce about a past lover, finding reminders of them in her every attempt to move on. The track follows the release of her cover of Khamari’s 2023 A Brief Nirvana cut, “Doctor, My Eyes,” which she shared with fans earlier this month. It also follows her dreamy, February 2023 single, “Lie Like That.”

“I wanted to step into my sensual side,” Ryan Destiny says of her latest release. “The song is sexy but vulnerable as well. Missing someone and having to let them know the way they made you feel is not always easy but this song feels like the confident and forward version of that mood. A good double back anthem.”

Ryan Destiny Steps Into Her “Sensual Side”

The release of “How Your Hands Feel” has already managed to get fans begging for more. The songstress’s social media pages are flooded with requests for a full album, though it’s unclear at the time of writing whether or not she has anything in the works.

Aside from her musical endeavors, Ryan Destiny has also been hard at work in her acting career. She’s known for her roles in the hit shows Grown-ish and Star, and is set to appear in an upcoming biography about boxer Claressa “T-Rex” Shields, which is expected in August of this year. What do you think of Ryan Destiny’s new song? Will you be adding “How Your Hands Feel” to your playlist? Do you hope she releases a full project sometime soon? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Cochise Keeps Perfecting Hype Ear Candy With New Single “YOSHIMITSU”: Stream

Cochise previously kicked off his 2024 with his feature on the Lyrical Lemonade album cut “First Night,” and he’s following up on that quickly with a much-teased and much-anticipated single. Moreover, this new song “YOSHIMITSU” is exactly what fans expect from him: a bubbly, charismatic, synth-led, repetitive, and above all fun banger. It’s a formula and approach that the Florida rapper’s been perfecting ever since his massive break with the $NOT-assisted “Tell Em.” Add on top of that a lot of social media savvy, an engaging and beloved personality, and complete melodic focus with his work, and you have a recipe that could feed families of young rap fans for years.

Furthermore, Cochise is also know for being very prolific and actively engaged when it comes to releasing and promoting new music. For example, last year, two of his final 2023 singles came out just a couple of weeks apart, those being “LUKAKU” and “HOP IN THE WHIP.” Even though the 25-year-old drops a lot and doesn’t really switch up his style too often, it’s clear that he has enough quality control, good sonic instincts, and talent to turn his hedonistic flexes into pretty distinct cuts. One interesting metric he reflects in this writer’s eyes is that, if you’re a new listener, any one of his cuts could be the perfect introduction to his style. That’s a pretty hard thing to even conceptualize and aim for in one’s music, so props are in order for creating that balance.

Also, as always, log back into HNHH for more on Cochise and for the latest great music drops around the clock.

ScHoolboy Q Spazzes On Third “BLUE LIPS” Single “Yeern 101”

ScHoolboy Q has been on absolute fire over the past month or so. The veteran California MC from Top Dawg Entertainment is about two and a half weeks away from returning with his sixth LP. BLUE LIPS is due on March 1 and based on what we have seen and heard; this is shaping up to be Q’s best record to date. One of the reasons why is because of the two pack he put out on February 6. “Back n Love” and “Blueslides” were both excellent tracks that offered contrasting pace and soundscapes.

If you follow ScHoolboy on Instagram, he shared a short teaser a couple of days ago. He captioned the post, “Yeern 101 tHursday…… I’m dope at stuff.” The video contained some snippets of recording sessions and music video sets. However, it did not prepare us for “Yeern 101” itself.

Listen To “Yeern 101” By ScHoolboy Q

We are so happy it did not, because going in knowing nothing about the track only made it sound better. “Yeern 101” features Q rapping his behind off like the rent was due. Cardo handles the production and brings a rumbling beat that has a big presence to it that is not too overwhelming on the ears. What is also a plus about this track is that it is available on DSPs. The same cannot be said about the previous two songs. Q just continues to impress and “Yeern 101” has just elevated our expectations even higher.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Yeern 101” by ScHoolboy Q? Is this the best single from BLUE LIPS? Will this be Q’s best album ever, why or why not? Is this the most exciting upcoming TDE release this year? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Yung Miami Lives Her Best Life On Birthday Trip Amid “50/50” Criticism

Earlier this week, Yung Miami dropped a new solo single called “50/50,” which has since received a great deal of criticism online. While some listeners think the City Girl popped off, others argue that she should stick with JT, and are leaving plenty of nasty comments on social media. “I would have rather had another episode of Caresha Please,” one Instagram user claims in The Shade Room‘s comments section. “This not it,” another writes.

Some users are also upset that she dropped her song so shortly after the release of JT’s new solo single, “Sideways.” Amid the backlash, Yung Miami took to Twitter to share her own theory on why she’s getting so much hate. “Cause they hate to see pretty b*tches at the top they like to keep us on leash,” she theorizes. She’s also gone on to repost various fans’ Tweets coming to her defense.

She even showed off her custom “Happy Birthday Yung Miami” welcome mat, as well as some personalized “Caresha Air” pillows. Several of the femcee’s friends joined her on the trip, whom she thanked with a heartfelt toast before takeoff.

GloRilla Is Unstoppable On “Yeah Glo!”

GloRilla’s stock is not that high for a good amount of hip-hop listeners out there right now. Unfortunately, music fans will kill an artist for dropping one or two lackluster songs. On top of that, her comments on Twitter (X) about her promiscuity and celibacy goals have turned even more people away. It is unfortunate because Glo got off to a blistering start.

“F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” and “Tomorrow 2” with Cardi B really got her career moving. So much so, that she would nab a short but memorable performance on Don Toliver’s “Leave the Club” from Love Sick. After some awkward tracks off the CMG label’s tape Gangsta Art 2, Glo might be rounding back into form with this newest single. “Yeah Glo!” is a fantastic time.

Listen To “Yeah Glo!” By GloRilla

The beat is all Memphis with earth-shattering bass, hard-hitting kick drums, and addicting cowbells. Glo’s verses are braggadocious as ever, with the hook being one of her most memorable. She is essentially hyping herself up throughout the track, and we are here for it. “Get ’em Glo! Stop overthinkin’, these h**s can’t f*** with you (Period) Get ’em Glo! Standin’ on business in these Chanel shoes.”

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Yeah Glo!,” by GloRilla? Is this her strongest single ever, why or why not? Is she the best Memphis female rapper, why or why not? The release comes as JT continues to prepare for the release of her debut EP as a solo artist. Speaking with Kali Uchis for Interview Magazine, last year, she explained that the project will likely drop early in 2024. “I really want my first EP to have that raw, grungy sound,” the City Girls rapper said. “I wanted to do that for my birthday [Dec. 3], but I think it’s too soon because I’m so picky. So probably the top of next year. I’m going to figure it out when I have the time and I have the sounds that I want. But I’m a hard thinker. I want everything to be perfect, and this time I’m going to be presented by myself, so I really want it to look like everything.” Check out her post celebrating “Sideways” below.

Daniel Caesar Drops Soul-Stirring Single “Waiting In Vain”

Daniel Caesar has gifted fans with a new single, “Waiting in Vain,” released tonight. As follow-up to his 2023 album NEVER ENOUGH, Daniel Caesar is setting the tone for what we can expect from him this year. This soul-stirring track marks Caesar’s first musical offering of 2024, and it’s already making waves for its heartfelt lyrics and emotionally charged melody. The soulful Canadian crooner is starting the year off strong. The song dives into the theme of unrequited love. It captures the essence of yearning and the emotional toll it takes on the protagonist. The song is a rendition of Bob Marley’s original track “Waiting In Vain.” The lyrics, which were written by Bob Marley & The Wailers, reveal the complexity of emotions tied to waiting for someone who may not reciprocate the same level of affection.

Furthermore, in the opening lines, Caesar expresses the longing with a simple yet resonant plea: “I don’t wanna wait in vain for your love.” The sentiment is carried through the verses as he reflects on the initial infatuation, the passage of time, and the emotional rollercoaster of unfulfilled expectations. The chorus, with its soulful repetitions of the phrase, amplifies the raw emotion of the track. Caesar’s smooth vocals create a sonic landscape that immerses listeners in the poignant narrative of love and longing. Coupled with the beautifully layered production, the song is something you’ll likely have on repeat.

Moreover, the song’s thematic depth is complemented by its musical richness. It blends elements of R&B and soul with Caesar’s signature voice. The instrumentation, along with the lush harmonies, adds layers to the emotional narrative. This creates a captivating listening experience. “Waiting In Vain” showcases Daniel Caesar’s ability to connect with his audience on a deeply emotional level, a skill that has earned him acclaim in the contemporary R&B scene. The track navigates the universal theme of love with a nuanced approach, making it relatable to a broad audience.

Furthermore, fans who embraced the soulful journey of NEVER ENOUGH will love “Waiting in Vain.” In fact, fans may find it to be a seamless continuation of Caesar’s artistic exploration. As the single gains traction, it is poised to become a soundtrack for those navigating the complexities of love. And the bittersweet experience of waiting for someone who may never arrive. Daniel Caesar’s “Waiting in Vain” stands out as a timeless testament to the enduring power of soulful storytelling through song. As listeners immerse themselves in the evocative lyrics and emotive melody, Caesar once again proves why he remains a standout artist in the realm of modern R&B.

Quotable lyrics:

From the very first time I blessed my eyes on you, girl
My heart said, “Follow through”
But I know now that I’m way down on your line
But the waitin’ feel is fine

Ice Spice Catches Heat For Sharing Asian Edit Of Herself

Ice Spice is coming under fire on social media for sharing an edited photo of herself race-swapped. She posted the picture on Twitter while promoting her new song, “Think U The Shit (Fart).” The original selfie is the cover art for the single.

“Why is she making fun of asian people?” one user asked in response. Another referenced a recent Twitter trend, writing: “She’s trying to see what she would look like if she was black AND chinese.” The edit of Ice Spice appears to stem from a user on the site, @VLONEPREDATOR, who has been editing pictures in a similar manner.
