Valee And MVW Tease Their Forthcoming LP With “Créme De La Créme” Featuring Pink Siifu

Chicago rapper Valee and producer MVW are gearing up for the release of their collaboration project next week. They are doing so by giving their fans and hungry listeners a sweet treat, “Créme de la Créme.” It is one of a few singles that will land on their album VALEEDATION, according to Fader. Valee and MVW got the ball rolling on this tape back on March 31 with “Yo Yo” featuring Tony Shhnow.” After that, we got a handful of other teasers. “Could Be,” “Pistachio,” featuring Zelooperz, “Tailor Swift” (hilarious title), and now “Créme de la Créme.”

It has been a busy year for Valee as just a few months ago he teamed with another great producer, Harry Fraud. Virtuoso (not really appropriately titled) did feature a lot of talent. Action Bronson, Saba, MAVI, and more landed on it. However, Valee got a little too repetitive and it soured the listen fairly quickly.

So, hopefully, with this new listen, there will be improvements. VALEEDATION is expected to be out on October 20. In the meantime, we have this one last single. It features the effervescent artist Pink Siifu. It is a dark, moody, and spacious beat that each rapper performs well on.

Jay Worthy Links With Kamaiyah And Producer Harry Fraud For “THE AM3RICAN DREAM”

Jay Worthy, Kamaiyah, and Harry Fraud are back once again, but this time it is for something bigger. That something is the collaborative album that sees all three of them combine their talents effortlessly. The tape, THE AM3RICAN DREAM, features nine tracks, including production all from Harry Fraud. All three headlining artists are not alone on this journey, though.

There is plenty of extra star power throughout the tracklist. You will see appearances from Guapdad 4000, Buddy, Max B, Ty Dolla $ign, DRAM, and more. Most of the beats here are very boom-bap-heavy and are buttery smooth. It contrasts well with Worthy and Kamaiyah’s sometimes grimy lyrics. Before this project’s release, we only had one single in promotion for it.

Offset & Westside Gunn Bring Heavy Hitters To Our New “Fire Emoji” Playlist Update

This week’s New Music Friday felt like an avalanche of bangers, which is why our Fire Emoji playlist update is here to recap the best of the best. Not only did we get plenty of great tracks within hip-hop, but we also got some of the most anticipated and grandiose albums of 2023. First up, there’s Offset’s new LP SET IT OFF, on which there are plenty of heated and hard-hitting tracks to sink your teeth into. There’s the slow-burning but triumphant Travis Scott collab “SAY MY GRACE,” on which both MCs flow with ease. Also, “BROAD DAY” contains some of the catchiest melodic elements on the album, a fast-paced drum pattern, and a cold-blooded Future feature.

The other big album that dominated our Fire Emoji playlist update this week was Westside Gunn’s And Then You Pray For Me. The sequel to his iconic 2020 album Pray For Paris is long, lavish, impressively consistent, and a true rap experience with so many amazing guests. An easy highlight is the menacing “Mamas PrimeTime,” featuring J.I.D, Conway The Machine, and Cartier A Williams. If you’re looking for a wildly different Griselda vibe, though, Tay Keith’s trap production on “Kostas” with Conway and Benny The Butcher will blow your mind.

HNHH Fire Emoji Playlist: Stream

Furthermore, Fire Emoji taps into that contemporary sound a bit further with Veeze’s “Get Lucki.” This song appears on his new deluxe version of his album Ganger that dropped this week, and is a lackadaisical but nonetheless wavy cut. Another big drop was Young Thug’s “From A Man,” which released alongside his flame Mariah The Scientist’s “From A Woman.” It’s an impressive lyrical performance, and one that reminds fans that Thugger is a truly special artist.

Meanwhile, this playlist update rounds out with a new single and two remixes. Gucci Mane gave us another taste of his new album with “Glizock & Wizop” with Key Glock. In addition, Burna Boy remixed Lil Durk and J. Cole’s “All My Life,” and finally, Travis Scott, G Herbo, and BIA teamed up to reimagine Lil Blessin’s “Likka Sto.” Let us know what your favorite release of the week was, as well as what we missed, and check out the Fire Emoji playlist above. Also, come back to HNHH for more great rap drops each week.

Nigerian-born and Canada-raised, TOBi, is back with a brand new tape for his listeners. They have been clamoring for it and for good reason. It has been three years since the last full-length release from him. That last album was ELEMENTS Vol.1 and before that was his debut in 2019 with STILL. Following that, we would get seven more singles, so eight in total. Unfortunately, while the songs are well produced and performed with lots of charisma, the hype slowly trailed with nearly the entire album being put out little by little.

Pewee Longway Returns With New Album “Who Am I?”

One of the OGs of trap rap is Pewee Longway. Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia he familiarized himself with all of the legends of his time and now he continues to carry the subgenre forward. Of course, he has learned so much from his mentor Gucci Mane, who is undoubtedly one of those founding fathers. Pewee famously signed with Guwop’s 1017 label right before he went to prison.

He released many mixtapes and other projects throughout that time. While he is not making a lot of noise in the headlines as of late, that does not mean people are not eager to hear more music. It has been a year since the release of his last album, Live a Lil. On top of that, Peewee’s first solo single did not come until late August.

Bad Bunny’s “THUNDER Y LIGHTNING” Diss Leaves J Balvin Confused: Watch

While Drake took his time teasing us with a lengthy rollout for his For All The Dogs album, Bad Bunny is taking the opposite approach with his new LP. Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va A Pasar Mañana arrived on DSPs on Friday (October 13) after the “Tarot” hitmaker first announced its impending debut on Monday (October 9). Now that many music lovers have had a chance to listen, reactions to the lengthy effort have been pouring in. Some are from other recording artists who didn’t expect to hear Benito mentioning them by name in his lyrics.

Fellow Latin rhymer J Balvin is one such example. As Uproxx reports, on “THUNDER Y LIGHTNING,” Bunny raps, “Thunder, lightning, yo soy un astro, Ricky Martin / Ustedes me han visto, to mis temas están charting / Ustedes me han visto, siempre ando con los mismo / Mientras ustedes son amigos de to el mundo como Balvin.” When translated to English, the lyrics read, “Thunder, lightning, I am a star, Ricky Martin / You’ve seen me, all my songs are charting / You’ve seen me, I always walk with the same people / While you are friends of the whole world like Balvin.”

Bad Bunny Name Drops J Balvin on His New Album

From the sounds of things, Benito sees himself as more loyal than Balvin, who’s apparently a bit too friendly for his liking. In the hours after the album’s arrival the latter jumped on Instagram Live to share his thoughts. Rolling Stone reporter Julyssa Lopez translated his reaction, which was notably mature.

“I think he’s an excellent artist. The person I know is a great person. We supported each other mutually, we made history, and we also created a new story within music. I don’t understand what was going through his head but, well, the guy I know is a good person,” Balvin declared of his “Mi Gente” collaborator.

Nicki Minaj Drops Scrapped Track “Bahm Bahm” From “Pink Friday 2” On Her Website

Nicki Minaj, as we all know at this point, needs little to no introduction. The queen of rap is still the leader and has been for over a decade now. We got word late last night that the legendary MC dropped a song in promotion for her highly-anticipated album, Pink Friday 2. Unfortunately, it will not make the final cut.

A few days ago Nicki told her fans that it would not be on her tape. She says she “didn’t like it for her album”. “Bahm Bahm,” which is the name of the song, was teased on Nicki Minaj’s Instagram Live on October 10. What most likely contributed to this was a recent poll she put up on her X account.

Two other song titles were in the poll, “Juice WRLD” and “Future.” If you now go to the Genius page you will see that a song, “Nicki Hendrix.” “Bahm “Bahm” received the least amount of votes, which is a possible reason as to why it also did not make it onto the final product. Offset and Cardi B are a hip-hop power couple that always seems to deliver. Over the years, they have come through with some great songs together. Prior to the release of his album Set It Off, the two came through with a song called “Jealousy.” However, when the tracklist was revealed, fans became aware of a second Cardi B feature. This song is called is “Freaky,” and it is already proving to be a fan favorite on the entire album.

Unfortunately, the track does not have a music video. When you get Offset and Cardi B on a song together, you would expect some sort of music video. Although that is probably on the horizon, fans will just have to settle for audio-only. Thankfully, the song itself is great. As you can imagine based on the song title here, the subject matter definitely matches up. However, these topics are nothing knew for the couple.
