Drake & J. Cole Do It Again With “Evil Ways”

Drake surprised everyone yesterday early in the morning as he revealed that he would be dropping a new 6-track EP. Scary Hours 3 is essentially a deluxe version of For All The Dogs. As Drizzy previewed, this was going to be a project with bars only. In the eyes of many, FATD had too much singing and too many slow tracks. People wanted Drake to drop some bars and give fans his best work to date. Well, he heard those comments and decided to show the world he’s still got it.

If you have listened to Scary Hours 3, you know that he is really doing his thing on this project. There are some incredible verses and the instrumentals are hitting. There is even a song with J. Cole called “Evil Ways” that acts as a spiritual successor to the song “First Person Shooter.” Overall, these two always come through with dope collaborations, and this is yet another example of that. Drake Is RAPPING Rapping

There are no hooks to be found here. Instead, Drake and Cole can be heard trading bars and going back and forth. It is a perfect dynamic and they do this style extremely well. At this point, a collaborative album might just be a possibility. However, one could say Drake deserves a break right about now.

Drake Is Back With “For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition”

Drake is back with new music! In a surprise move that has left fans buzzing with anticipation since he announced the surprise drop, For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition is out now. The project now features 29 tracks, including the originals on For All The Dogs and six brand new ones. J. Cole appears on new track “Evil Ways.” The 6 God, known for his chart-topping hits and game-changing albums, took to social media on Wednesday night (Nov. 15) to share the exciting news of a new album. In addition, in a cryptic video trailer announcement earlier today, Drake hinted at what listeners can expect from the new music. “You know, ultimately it’s coming to me in a way that I haven’t experienced since [2015’s] If You’re Reading This [It’s Too Late], where it’s just kind of like I feel like I’m on drugs,” he says in a voiceover.

The additional tracks Drake’s confidence in his latest body of work is admirable. He declared “I feel no need to appease anybody. I feel so confident about the body of work I just dropped that I know I can go and disappear for whatever… six months, a year… two years.” This bold statement suggests that the third installment of Scary Hours might be a standout move to close out the year. After having a big year, with just finishing out his It’s All A Blur Tour, to dropping the highly-anticipated For All The Dogs, Drake’s not taking any breaks. In recent news, he also announced that he’s going back on tour, but this time with J. Cole.

Stream “Scary Hours 3” By Drake

The popular EP series Scary Hours has birthed some incredible tracks over the years. “Wants and Needs,” ft. Lil Baby, “Lemon Pepper Freestyle,” and “What’s Next,” all appeared on the last EP and have been some of his biggest tracks yet. The announcement follows closely on the heels of Drake’s recent release For All The Dogs video featuring J. Cole, a collaboration that had fans clamoring for more. Trippie Redd Announces “SAINT MICHAEL V2” With 10 New Songs

Earlier this month, Trippie Redd released his new EP SAINT MICHAEL. The seven-track project included fan-favorite single “Van Cleef Island” and a collaboration with BANKS on the song “Saint Michael Meyers.” Now, Trippie has confirmed a full version of the project called SAINT MICHAEL V2 that will extend the original tracklist to a full album length. The new project is due to drop later this month, exactly two weeks after the original EP dropped.

Trippie Redd Announces Full Version Of New EP

SAINT MICHAEL V2 will be the third full-length project Trippie has dropped this year. All the way back in January, he released his album MANSION MUSIK. The massive 25-track project featured tons of high-profile appearances. Chief Keef, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Nardo Wick, Future, Juice WRLD, and many more make appearances on the album.

He followed that up with the 5th edition of his fan-favorite mixtape series A Love Letter To You. That album featured Roddy Ricch, Lil Wayne, and The Kid LAROI among even more big names. Travis Scott To Feature On A Remix Of Tyla’s Hit Song “Water”

One of the breakout hit songs of the last month came from breakout R&B star Tyla. Her song “Water” first dropped earlier this year and after she joined Chris Brown for a European tour the song began to rise up the Hot 100. With many of the songs from Taylor Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) slipping down the chart this week, “Water” soared to a new high. The song hit number 18 on the Hot 100 this week and could climb even higher with a new remix.

After teasing that a major artist would be joining her on the song, earlier today Tyla confirmed who that is. Travis Scott, fresh off the release of his highly-anticipated new album UTOPIA will contribute a verse to a remix version of the song. Fans don’t have to wait long to see what he has to offer as it’s due to drop at midnight tonight. Two songs from UTOPIA are still on the Hot 100, “I KNOW ?” and “MELTDOWN” with Drake. Travis Scott’s “Water” Remix Drops Tonight

Earlier this week, Travis Scott revealed a bunch of interesting information in an interview with GQ. One of the things he revealed to fans is that UTOPIA was originally planned to be a musical. Scott said he even studied Broadway and began formulating a plan to create a show that could be taken on the road and performed. Lingering ideas from that era of the album’s development may have made it into the accompanying film Circus Maximus.

Scott also revealed some plans he has going forward. He said that after he finishes touring next year he plans to attend Harvard. The rapper is seeking a degree in Architectural Design from the distinguished Ivy League school and could start as early as next year. Wiz Khalifa Stuns Fans With His Backpack Of Pre Rolls

It’s been a strange day for some of the biggest and most notorious stoners in music. Earlier today, Snoop Dogg took to Instagram with some news that shocked fans. In the post he claimed that he was quitting smoking. Many felt that it had to be a joke or some kind of marketing trick, given that the rapper is one of the first celebrities most people think of when weed is brought up.

Now, another stoner is making the rounds online for basically the exact opposite reasons. Fans don’t have to worry about Wiz Khalifa being done smoking any time soon, at least not after seeing a new video of the rapper making the rounds online. “Wiz Khalifa stays with that [gas emoji] on him,” the caption of the video reads. In the clip itself, Wiz pulls out a backpack with a box inside of it that is absolutely stacked to the brim with pre rolls. Check out the entire short video below.

Wiz Khalifa Isn’t Quitting Any Time Soon

In the comments, fans unsurprisingly have jokes. “bro handin out pre rolls as if it’s candy,” and “Me at the family thanksgiving functions,” two of the top comments read. Others compare his situation to the breaking Snoop Dogg news with funny results. “Snoop: “I quit smoking” Meanwhile wiz:” and “don’t show snoop this he gon relapse,” two more top comments read.

Last month, Wiz dropped his second new mixtape of 2023. The project is called Khali Sober and features 12 new tracks. The breakout song of the bunch has been the opening track “Uptown Bound.” The tape follows his much longer See Ya project which dropped back in June. Lizzo Opens Up About “Working On Herself,” Trust Issues & New Music

Lizzo’s been relatively tight-lipped since news broke earlier this year of a harassment lawsuit against her from a couple of her former dancers. Sure, she’s still been active on social media and at public events, but she’s said little of her thoughts and emotions throughout this ordeal. However, in a new Instagram post on Thursday (November 16), the singer opened up a little bit more about what’s going on in her life right now. Not all of it deals with these accusations, but it’s hard to interpret any statement from her without that context. Regardless, it seems like the Detroit native is processing many things about herself in addition to this legal battle.

“Hi,” Lizzo simply started off a caption for a mirror selfie, in which she tagged her shape wear brand Yitty. “I’m working.. on music, myself, relationships with people and food, my anxiety, my body, my business, and my trust issues with the world. But they are deep now, deeper than they’ve ever been. Xoxo.” This comes after relatively innocuous social media activity, such as showing off her Halloween costumes.

In addition, this statement also arrives as more public figures and Lizzo’s own team contributes to the narrative around her treatment of her former dancers. Some believe these women, whereas others firmly stand by her or, at least, acknowledge that this is getting her a lot of negative press that people love to gobble up. For example, Keke Palmer recently spoke on the 35-year-old’s position, explaining that people either want to see celebrities as infallible heroes or as institutions to fight against or de-platform. For Palmer and many others, though, she sits in the middle zone of that, which shouldn’t warrant such blind vitriol from either side.

Meanwhile, this case could still turn around and become a settlement, and this is definitely something that everyone can learn from. As such, perhaps this will just be a bump in the artist’s successful road, or one that sees her reevaluate and restructure her behavior and tendencies. Either way, it’s at least heartening to see her slowly but surely come to terms with everything that accusations like this entail. Andre 3000 Says Writing Raps “Feel Inauthentic” To Him

This week, Andre 3000 has rushed back into the public eye. That came after he announced his new album New Blue Sun. The announcement surprised fans as Andre has repeatedly denied speculation that he was working on a new project. But he quickly set expectations for fans by confirming that there would be “no bars.” The project is expected to be entirely instrumental and in a new interview with GQ he dove into why there isn’t any rapping included on the project.

“I’ve worked with some of the newest, freshest, youngest, and old-school producers. I get beats all the time. I try to write all the time. […] Even now people think, Oh, man, he’s just sitting on raps, or he’s just holding these raps hostage. I ain’t got no raps like that,: he explained. But despite his best efforts, he hasn’t conjured much material he believes in. ““It actually feels…sometimes it feels inauthentic for me to rap because I don’t have anything to talk about in that way.
