24kGoldn Digs Into His Personal Battles On “Good Intentions”

24kGoldn is one of those rappers who had a handful of hits and began to tail off a bit. Of course, he is most known for his songs “Mood” with iann dior, and his feature on Clean Bandit and Mabel’s “Tick Tock.” Since 2021 he has not dropped an album either. El Dorado was the record that put him on the map.

However, he really has not been able to capitalize on the momentum in many people’s eyes. That might be able to change though. The California multi-talent has just come out with a brand-new single. It is called “Good Intentions” and it is available everywhere.

While it is not anything new for 24k to delve into his personal life, it is still an engaging listen. Bars include, “If I’m bein’ honest, I’ve been goin’ through a rut, uh / Victim of my selfishness, it’s finally catchin’ up, uh.” He even recognizes that it has been a minute since he has seen real success, which makes this a really vulnerable moment. “Plaques on every wall, but they from 2021 / Take a picture, smoke a Swisher, reminisce on how it was, uh.” The production is also a welcome addition with a simple but effective drum pattern that allows for 24k to find a nice pocket.

Finesse2Tymes has just come through with a brand-new single that is out now on YouTube. “Gangstafied” features the recently released Louisiana legend and former Cash Money affiliate, B.G. Since his return after an 11-year bout for illegal gun possession, he has been frequently appearing on tracks. However, this one might be the most talked about.

It already seems to be turning out that way because of some of the bars he dropped. When you see them we guarantee that you will be quite flabbergasted. That is because B.G. sent some shots toward his long-time teammate, Lil Wayne. According to XXL, the diss delves into some issues that were going on outside of his time behind bars.

According to a piece from 24HipHop back in late November, B.G., talked about their damaged friendship. I had a lot of respect for shorty cause he done that ‘I Miss My Dawgs’ song. He performed it for me. B.G. continues, “To make a long story short, he was like, f*** everybody who left Cash Money. I’m one of the ones who left Cash Money, so really you saying f*** me. I left, Juvi left. When you say f*** me, I’m gonna say f*** you back.” However, he did clarify, “My problems ain’t with you. B.G. said about Wayne. “You ain’t the one that got my money.”

Metro Boomin Drops Future & Travis Scott Snippet, Much To The Delight Of Fans

Metro Boomin and Future have been teasing a new album for a while now. Overall, these two artists have delivered some bangers together. Ever since the mid 2010s, these two have been great collaborators. Although they took a break from one another a while ago, they ultimately rekindled their working relationship. Now, they are about to give us Metro Pluto which could prove to be one of the best albums of 2024. It’s going to be a stacked year, yet they still may be the ones on top when all is said and done.

At this point, we still do not have a release date for the project. Instead, we are being left in the lurch on what is going to happen. Fans are optimistic that something good is going to come out, but we just don’t know when that will take place. Luckily, we have been getting some snippets. For instance, just a couple of days ago, Metro delivered a snippet for a song that is believed to be called “Cinderella.” The track has been out there for a while, and it features the likes of Travis Scott.

It remains to be seen if this new track will be on Metro Pluto. However, the fact that Metro is playing this track while out at with Future is a good sign. Either way, it is a song that sounds great, and we cannot wait to hear a studio version. Hopefully, we get that sooner rather than later. One can only just sit and hope for such good news.

His new singles have been dropping exclusively on YouTube but that hardly means they’re throwaways. Earlier this week he shared a new song called “Backr00ms” which featured Travis Scott. The song racked up millions of views right away and even got a shoutout on Twitter from Ice Spice.

He’s been dropping quite a bit of material recently and doesn’t appear to be done any time soon. News is making its way around hip-hop sites online confirming that a new song called “RING THE ALARM” is on the way. Much like the other songs it’s expected to be attached to a new video. Pictures from what looks like the music video shoot are spreading online alongside the news of the single’s impending drop. It still hasn’t officially been announced if all of these singles are building towards a new album, or when that album might drop.

Playboi Carti Continues Dropping New Music

Playboi Carti has been making waves online even outside of the series of new songs he’s shared. He’s found himself at the center of some new dating rumors after sharing come content online with Camila Cabello. That first started last month when he shared a picture of the two of them together in the studio. He doubled down earlier this week revealing he had been facetiming the pop star and former Fifth Harmony member.

While that’s been going on he’s also been dealing with drama surrounding his baby mama Iggy Azalea. After he shared a video of himself with their son during the holidays, Azalea clapped back. She called Carti an absent father, something she’s accused him of numerous times publicly. Carti didn’t respond directly to the allegation as he’s largely avoided discussing them publicly. Lil Tecca Slides On Fresh Single “Down With Me”

Lil Tecca is one of the most consistent artists of his era. From 2015 to 2019, there were a ton of melodic artists who came up through SoundCloud. Overall, it was very difficult for these artists to maintain relevancy. However, Tecca has managed to keep his fanbase intact. His social presence is large and he is always dropping catchy songs with great beats. Last year, he dropped a 16-track album called TEC which proved to be a pleasant surprise. Now, he is already back to dropping music.

Below, you can find the music video to his new song, simply titled “Down With Me.” Once again, this is a melodic offering with some truly phenomenal production. The melodic horns in the background are met with some crisp drums that go together perfectly. Meanwhile, Tecca slides over this production with some melodies of his own. It is yet another example of his great ear.

Lil Tecca Is Back

For now, it remains to be seen what this song is for. It could very well just be a single that he wanted to release for his fans. However, it could also prove to be a track that signals a deluxe version for TEC. Either way, the fact that he is releasing music again is a great sign. Hopefully, we hear even more, very soon.

Don Trip And Petty Trade Great Showings On “Bar Hopping”

Don Trip has always been someone who constantly pushes out music. 2023 was easily his busiest year yet as an artist. The Memphis spitter was able to dish out 12 different projects and did so in a cool way. At the end of each month, Don had a new album or EP ready to go. The last time we were able to talk about an album of his was back at the end of October with Red October.

He was also there right around Thanksgiving with Wolverine. Like a lot of his projects, Don Trip grabbed features from Starlito as well as his late friend, Pif. Both of those names find their way onto his latest record, Christopher Season 3. It came out on December 29, just before the new year. One of the tracks that caught our attention was “Bar Hopping.”

The title of the song is a double entendre referring to trading rap bars and traveling to different drinking spots. Throughout the track, there is a killer guitar riffing sample. Don Trip Drops One More Project Just In Time For 2024 With “Christopher Season 3”

He came out with 12 (!) albums in 2023. The first one, Gotham City, dropped on January 27. From that point on, Don Trip would go on to follow a very particular trend. Don set it up to where he would be able to drop an LP at the end of each month. Somehow, he was able to stay committed to that trend and did so by coming out with Christopher Season 3 on December 29.

B.G. Says NBA YoungBoy Collab Is In The Works

In September of last year, B.G. was finally released from federal prison after serving more than a decade for gun and witness tampering charges. The New Orleans-born performer has wasted no time getting back into things, hitting the studio only days after he got out. Since his release, he’s worked alongside the likes of Boosie Badazz, Sexyy Red and Kevin Gates, Gucci Mane, and more. He plans to continue making the most of his newfound freedom, recently teasing yet another high-profile collab.

Earlier this week, B.G. was chatting with fans on Instagram Live when one user asked him if he’d consider collaborating with NBA YoungBoy. According to him, the project is already underway. In a new clip, the Hot Boys rapper assures commenters that his project with YB will arrive soon. “I hollered at YB yesterday, man,” he revealed. “Ya heard me? It’s coming. It’s coming. That’s a fact.“

Clearly, B.G. isn’t looking to slow down in 2024, and fans can’t wait to see what else he has up his sleeve. As for YB, Judge Shelly D. Dick recently loosened the 24-year-old’s house arrest restrictions following his team’s motion citing his declining mental health. He’s now allowed to leave “Gravedigger Mountain” for medical appointments, court appearances, and other activities approved by his pretrial supervision officer.

He also recently spoke with Gillie and Wallo on their Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast, sharing his plans to pull back on some of his vices. “[I had to go to rehab] two weekends ago, I think,” he explained. “Now I’m kind of taking on just therapy from now on. I’ve been doing a lot of rich sipping, and smoking these nasty a** cigarettes. Yeah, they’ve been tearing my a** up though, man. Ja Rule Is Gearing Up For A New Album

Ja Rule is a legend in the hip-hop world. Although it has been a very long time since he was in his prime, he still has fans out there. Overall, Ja came out with plenty of big hits back in the day. Furthermore, he has some iconic projects such as Venni Vetti Vecci. Unfortunately, a beef with 50 Cent ultimately stunted the progression of his career. He even became a punchline for many years. This is especially true when you consider how he was named in a now-iconic Dave Chappelle stand-up routine.

Additionally, Ja Rule was someone who had a hand in the infamous Fyre Festival fiasco. Although he has since moved past this, there are people who still think about it from time to time. Oh, and he also had that halftime performance at a Milwaukee Bucks game that didn’t end so well. Either way, Ja is still very much active as it pertains to performing. His last project was in 2012, and now, he appears to be ready for something new. While taking to Twitter, Ja revealed that he has a new album on the way.

“In full album mode,” he wrote on social media. Of course, his fans were excited about this. After all, older artists are being encouraged to drop more music. When you take the 50th anniversary of hip-hop into consideration, it becomes clear that there is an appetite for music from legacy acts. Now, it just becomes a question of when will the album come out. No one wants this to be a musical equivalent of the Fyre Fest situation. That would just give 50 Cent more ammunition.
