Deb Antney Recalls $5 Million Offer To Leave Nicki Minaj Behind

It’s no secret that Nicki Minaj and her former manager Deb Antney have been through their fair share of ups and downs. Despite all of this, the two of them have always been inseparable. That doesn’t mean that nobody has ever tried to separate them, however, according to Antney. During a recent interview with Ray Daniels Presents, the longtime music executive revealed that there was a time she was offered big bucks to leave Nicki behind. Fortunately, she didn’t go for it, instead prioritizing her relationship with the rap diva.

“They offered me $5 million to get away from Nicki,” she began. “And I needed that $5 million. But you can’t pay me enough. You can’t do that to me. I ain’t never got to speak to her again in life, but that’s my child.” Antney continued, looking back on her spat with Nicki, which took place after she admitted she once tried to make peace between Nicki and Lil Kim. “It doesn’t matter,” she said. “She can talk about me, she can say whatever she wanna say, she can do whatever she wanna do. People were so shocked to see me; they didn’t want me on that tour with her.”

Antney also shared more details of their dynamic, explaining that while Nicki can “get away with murder” while talking to her, it’s never the other way around. “It’s things that I can’t do with her,” she admitted. “It’s like I can’t even say or knock her down the way I’d want to knock her down, or say what I want to say to her, because she’s so fragile to me.”

Obviously, Antney really values her relationship with Nicki, and it looks like the feeling is mutual. Shortly after their aforementioned spat, which got pretty ugly, the two of them reunited on Instagram Live. They looked to be in good spirits as if nothing had ever happened.

XXXTentacion’s Engineer Recalls Working On Some Of Late Artist’s Most Popular Songs

During a recent interview, Dutch-born engineer Koen Heldens recalled working alongside XXXTentacion on some of the late performer’s most popular songs. He detailed his recording process during a conversation with Studio Talks, as well as what he was able to learn. “When I heard ‘Jocelyn Flores’ for the first time, and it completely took me by surprise. I had this image of XXXTentacion as a face-tatted SoundCloud rapper, but the raw emotion in ‘Jocelyn Flores’ was completely different from what I expected. X also had another track for me to mix: ‘F**K Love’ featuring Trippie Redd. That’s how we started working together—almost by chance. X had a way of manifesting things quickly, and it felt like fate that I mixed ‘Jocelyn Flores’ on my birthday,” he began.

“In November 2017, we worked on A Ghetto Christmas Carol EP, which we completed in one weekend. I remember trying to clean up the 808s on the title track, but X and producer Ronny J insisted, ‘No, no, no, don’t clean it up! It’s supposed to feel like an electric guitar for white people but felt through the bass in the trunk.’ That experience taught me that sometimes being technically correct doesn’t serve the creative process—music is about emotion and feel,” Heldens continued.

He went on, remembering how XXX FaceTimed him right after recording “Sad!” According to him, the Florida-born artist had a feeling it would be a hit. “He sent me the track and said, ‘I need the mix back in an hour.’ Naturally, I thought, ‘An hour? That’s impossible.’”

Ultimately, however, Heldens was inspired. “I immediately felt compelled to push the snare way out front—making it loud and prominent,” he said. “There was no second verse, despite some discussions about adding one, but it didn’t need it since the song didn’t follow a typical structure.”

Denzel Washington Gets Candid About Wine Habit And “Shooting Dope”

It goes without saying that years of drug and alcohol use will surely catch up to anybody, and according to Denzel Washington, he’s no exception. Luckily, the award-winning actor and producer never let his vices get too out of hand and has made his health a top priority as he approaches 70. During a recent interview with Esquire Magazine, he opened up about the “damage” he’s done to his body in the past by getting hooked on wine and occasionally “shooting dope.”

“Things are opening up for me now — like being seventy. It’s real. And it’s OK. This is the last chapter — if I get another thirty, what do I want to do? My mother made it to ninety-seven. I’m doing the best I can,” he told the outlet. Washington went on to open up about how his wine habit began, and exactly when he realized it was becoming a problem.

“Wine is very tricky. It’s very slow. It ain’t like, boom, all of a sudden. I never got strung out on heroin. Never got strung out on coke. Never got strung out on hard drugs. I shot dope just like they shot dope, but I never got strung out,” he explained. “And I never got strung out on liquor. I had this ideal idea of wine tastings and all that — which is what it was at first. And that’s a very subtle thing. I mean, I drank the best.”

Ultimately, Washington started to think he might be addicted when he got his own wine cellar in his house. Despite this, he says he was never under the influence while working or preparing for a role. “I never drank while I was working or preparing. I would clean up, go back to work — I could do both. However many months of shooting, bang, it’s time to go. Then, boom. Three months of wine, then time to go back to work,” he shared.

Katt Williams is truth teller and not a prophet. That’s what he told GQ in a recent interview, saying, “None of them were conspiracies, which is why they all happened. I believe we’re entering the golden age. Right after the age of truth, the revealing is the scab being pulled off and then the healing can begin.” A lot of people may look at him sideways for that take. However, so far, the things he said during his mega viral interview with Shannon Sharpe have indeed come to fruition. His information and insight about Diddy have been spot on, as he currently awaits his legal fate in jail.

Over the weekend, Katt Williams shared another “fact” with Vulture, and this time, it relates to SNL. If you remember, his infamous tell-all with Shannon Sharpe blew up for his comments about several other celebrities outside of the music mogul. It became a signature moment this year and it led the sketch comedy show to recreate it. Their impersonation of it has accrued over 3.5 million views and has generated a lot of laughs. However, Katt Williams is not of fan of the skit nor SNL. Part of it has to do with the fact that actress Ego Nwodim portrayed the comedian.

This was an epiphanous moment for him, explaining to the outlet, “A lot of times, when people are doing an impression of you, they’re really showing you how they feel about you. So, for ‘Saturday Night Live’ to have an impression of me and have a woman do that, it means they think I’m a b****. And I understand that that’s what they’re saying when they do that.” However, he didn’t stop there, as he called out the program for parodying him so many times and never having him on.

However, he seems to be just fine with it also. “There has never been a person that has been parodied nine times on ’Saturday Night Live’ and yet never been invited other than me. So, at this point, I take it as a badge of honor that they don’t f*** with me.” It seems that Katt is going to remain solid no matter how much is thrown at him and it’s making us wonder how much longer the “age of truth” is going to last.

Ray J Admits He Thinks About Nicki Minaj “Every Day” Since She Called Him Out For Diddy Jokes

Recently, Ray J appeared on The Jamal Bryant Podcast: Let’s Be Clear. During his interview with the Atlanta pastor, he opened up about mental health, his sex tape with Kim Kardashian, and more. He even reflected on a conversation he had with Nicki Minaj on Instagram Live last month, in which she called him out after he nearly got into a fight with Diddy’s sons at a Halloween party in Los Angeles.

Reportedly, the Combs brothers were upset about some jokes Ray J had made about their father, prompting the confrontation. “Do you think that’s funny?” Nicki asked Ray J at the time. “You seem like you’re joking about it when there are several people traumatized.” He then admitted that he didn’t mean to make light of the alleged victims’ experiences, even apologizing to the rapper. According to Ray J, some of what Nicki said stuck with him, despite her marriage to Kenneth Petty.

Shyne Claims Diddy Never Offered Him Money To Be The Alleged Scapegoat For Club Shooting

Shyne is airing out all his grievances and reflections regarding the 1999 club shooting that involved Diddy and landed the Bad Boy artist in jail. He continues to allege that his boss made him a scapegoat in this case and threw him under the bus when he’s the one who should’ve been guilty. The rapper and politician went on The Stephen A. Smith Show to promote his upcoming Hulu documentary and also elaborate on these allegations. Specifically, he posited that Sean Combs never offered him any compensation or support when he allegedly took the fall that he shouldn’t have had to take.

“In my words, I said so many years ago back in 2001,” Shyne said of the Diddy situation. “It was me talking about not snitching on Diddy and not getting him in trouble to get myself out of trouble. I said that 20-odd years ago. I’ve always maintained in every interview I did until recently when I healed and I moved on and I forgave, but for years I was saying what a creep I thought he was and how he destroyed my life and at one point, I thought he was the devil. But because of the power of Diddy, which is so loud as far as a pop culture icon, nobody listened. So I moved on. And I pivoted my life to healing, to forgiveness and to taking accountability for what I can control. And I can’t control what someone did to me decades ago.

“I can’t control them not wanting to pay reparations, not wanting to make it right,” Shyne continued. “People say, ‘Oh, Diddy gave me millions to go to jail.’ Nothing! Of course. Did I take the fall? Yes. There was no quid pro quo. There was not, ‘Listen, we’re gonna have $10 million waiting for you when you come out,’ or just do the right thing. I did that on my own. I’ve been saying that, it’s not anything new.”

“Mr. Combs categorically denies Mr. Barrow’s allegations, including any suggestion that he orchestrated Mr. Barrow to ‘take the fall’ or ‘sacrificed’ him by directing witnesses to testify against him,” Diddy’s team stated to Billboard concerning Shyne’s claims. “These claims are unequivocally false. Mr. Combs was acquitted of all charges related to the 1999 Club New York incident and has consistently maintained his innocence. It is unfortunate that Mr. Barrow has chosen to revisit these allegations. Lul Tim Speaks On Police Shooting Him After King Von Murder And How That Changed His Life

As part of his media tour for his upcoming documentary, Lul Tim recently sat down with DJ Vlad for an interview about the murder of King Von. He recalled how police shot him during the incident, resulting in him having to get a colostomy bag. Tim thanked medical staff for their diligence and assistance, but he admitted that it really threw him off his diet, everyday routines, and the like. Now, he mostly feels recovered even though he’s still dealing with some side effects and post-surgery developments, and it was an arduous process because it lasted for longer than he initially expected.

Elsewhere during the VladTV interview, Lul Tim also recalled the night that he faced a fight and shooting between King Von and Quando Rondo’s crews that resulted in the former’s murder. He regretted that Von allegedly escalated the situation to that level, but also stood by his notion that he juts acted to protect his friends. Tim did clarify that he doesn’t mean any disrespect towards either MC for how the situation panned out, and that it was just a tragic situation all around.

While Lul Tim did not face charges for shooting King Von, you can tell that this whole tragic situation continues to affect everyone involved regardless of their guilt. Things became more complicated when federal authorities arrested Lil Durk for alleged murder-for-hire in retaliation for Von’s death, which opened this story up again. Hopefully all these individuals can find peace and more safety moving forward with no further chances for violence.

Lul Tim Regrets Quando Rondo Incident That Led To King Von’s Murder

Lul Tim is coming out with a new documentary about his case concerning the murder of King Von, which resulted from an altercation with Quando Rondo’s group. In addition, he also stopped by VladTV for a new interview with DJ Vlad in which he recalls the night of the shooting and speaks about the emotions running through his head. Tim reflected on how he didn’t even have a great idea of what really went down the night after the shooting, but stated that he knew that he just did what he had to do to protect his friend. He also suggested that Von would’ve still been alive if he didn’t escalate the altercation further.

However, Lul Tim then clarified that he doesn’t mean that as disrespect towards King Von or Quando Rondo, as he’s a humble person who expressed regret over how things escalated in the way they did, even if he pointed the blame to Von’s side of the story. It all rests as a very complicated situation, especially now that federal authorities arrested Lil Durk for allegedly funding a retaliation to this tragedy.

He recently called out Mike Tyson for his recent interview from Thursday (November 14) with 14-year-old reporter Jazlyn Guerra, better known as Jazzy’s World TV. The boxing legend was asked about his legacy ahead of his upcoming fight with Jake Paul. “I don’t believe in the word legacy,” he revealed. “I just think it’s another word for ego. Legacy doesn’t mean nothing. That’s just some word everyone grabbed onto. […] It means absolutely nothing to me. I’m just passing through. I’ma die and it’s gon’ to be over. Who cares about legacy after that?

“What a big ego. ‘I want people to think I’m this, I’m great.’ No, I’m nothing. We’re just dead. We’re dust, we’re absolutely nothing. Our legacy is nothing.” When Jazzy’s World TV thanked him for his unique and curious answer, Mike Tyson doubled down. “Can you really imagine somebody saying: ‘I really want my legacy to be this way’ […] you’re dead?” he continued. “You think someone really wants to think about you? All in all, though, we’re sure that 50 Cent is just toying with Mike Tyson, as they have somewhat of a previous relationship. The G-Unit mogul actually purchased Tyson’s mansion back in the day and had a hilarious story of the move-in experience. Maybe this was a little too heavy of an answer for the moment. But Jazzy’s World TV is a great journalist, so it’s no surprise she took it in stride.

SZA Previews New Album “Lana” During Revealing Interview About Her Emotions

SZA recently sat down for a new interview with British Vogue, which proved to not be as controversial and hotly discussed as her Harper’s BAZAAR sit-down with Kendrick Lamar. But nevertheless, she dished out a lot of interesting revelations, emotional divulgations, and hints at the direction of her next album, Lana. It’s no longer a deluxe version to 2022’s SOS, but rather a full-on new LP following some leaks to the public that derailed its course for a bit. Fortunately, it wasn’t enough to fully throw it off track, and whenever it comes out, it’ll arrive as a highly anticipated LP. Now, we have more of an idea of how it could emotionally relate to the rest of the catalog.

“I think I am making music from a more beautiful place,” SZA told British Vogue concerning the emotional and personally artistic direction of the upcoming Lana record. “From a more possible place versus a more angsty place. I’m not identifying with my brokenness. It’s not my identity. It’s s**t that happened to me. Yeah, I experienced cruelty. I have to put it down at some point. Piece by piece, my music is shifting because of that, the lighter I get.”

Elsewhere during the interview, SZA also spoke on what it was like to headline Glastonbury last year. “I just felt like nothing I could do would be enough for Glastonbury, no matter what I did,” she revealed. “It scared me. I was like, well, I wish I wasn’t doing it, but I couldn’t walk away from it… I want to be the second Black woman in history, but then it’s such a f***ing tall order. It’s like, no matter what you do here, you will be subject to criticism. Because of who you are. But that’s life. That’s life, you know?”

Meanwhile, SZA’s recent conversation with British Vogue also held some more personal details and confessions, such as her reflections on getting a BBL.
