Gunna Promises His Next Album Will Be A Chart Topper

Gunna is gearing up to release a new project later this year and he’s been building up quite a bit of hype for it. The album is called One Of Wun, a name he confirmed last month alongside the reveal of the album cover. He’s already released two singles from the album. The first was called “Bittersweet” and it dropped back in February. The second came a month later, it’s called “Prada Dem” and featured Offset. The song has racked up more than 30 million streams on Spotify since it dropped.

But when TMZ caught up with him recently to talk about the album. He made some pretty significant claims about One Of Wun during the brief discussion. When asked about the album’s success he didn’t hold anything back. “The album One of Wun — it’s number one,” he claimed. He’s no stranger to number one albums, with Wunna and DS4Ever topping the Billboard 200 back in 2020 and 2022 respectively. His last album a Gift & a Curse dropped last year with very little promotion and still managed to land at number 3. Even more impressively it spawned one of the biggest hits of 2023 “fukumean.” Check out his full conversation with TMZ below.

Gunna has also appeared on two high-profile features this year. He teamed up with breakthrough singer Tyla, who was responsible for another one of the biggest hits of 2023 “Water.” The two also teamed up with Skillibeng for the song “Jump” which has racked up more than 42 million streams on Spotify already. Over the weekend, he teamed up with Normani for the song “1:59.” The singer and former fifth harmony member also has a highly-anticipated album coming out later this year, her long-awaited solo debut.

Though his last mixtape Hard To Love dropped just last year and he’s appeared on two label compilations since then, he’s once again dropping new material soon. He took to Instagram to announce that he had a new album coming, which would be exciting enough on its own. But he also revealed that fans won’t have to wait long to hear the entire project because it’s dropping later this month.

“To Every Action There’s A Reaction, Timing Is Everything And Information Is Power Im In Raw Form Aint No Cut On This Shit This For My Day 1 Core Fan Base The Ones Who Was There Since The Beginning !!” the caption to his new Instagram post reads. The post also unveils the project album cover and reveals that it’s called SPEAK NOW. The project will drop in just a few weeks on May 24 and fans are already filling the comments with hype. In the comments, some fellow artists chime in. Rappers like Rob 49 and Blac Youngsta pop up, leading fans to believe that they could be making guest appearances on the album. That’s also the case with country music megastar Morgan Wallen who also pops up in the comments. Wallen has crossed over into hip-hop before with a pair of collaborations with Lil Durk under his belt. He also made an Instagram post earlier this year that led many fans to believe he was working on new music with Post Malone.

Moneybagg Yo just made a pretty memorable appearance on the new GloRilla mixtape. In a post on Twitter, on Wednesday morning, Megan described it as “Megan May” and shared a new picture of herself. “Hotties it’s officially MEGAN MAY [snake emoji]. Get ready [Fire emoji],” she captioned the post.

Fans expressed their excitement for the news in the replies. “Megan’s reputation era is coming! The world done plotted against her and tried to paint her as so many different things. She’s ready to tell all. Speak your truth Meg!” one user wrote. Another added: “OMG MEGAN IS COMING, WE ARE SO READY! THE MUSIC INDUSTRY ISN’T READY! THE WORLD ISN’T READY!”

Megan previously confirmed that she’s got a new album in store for the summer during an appearance on Good Morning America back in January. At the time, she revealed that the project would be dropping before summer hits and that she’ll be traveling on a Hot Girl Summer 2024 tour to promote the new music. “We’re having the tour this year,” she said at the time. “The Hot Girl Summer tour is gonna be 2024 summer time. I feel like I’ve never been able to be outside doing my own thing during the summer, since like 2019, so this is gonna be the first time I drop an album on time for the summer. I do want to give the hotties the Megan Thee Stallion experience.”

Cam’ron Says He’s “Not Allowed” To Drop His Joint Album With Mase

Cam’ron and Mase have had a long, bizarre history together. They played basketball together in high school, became rap superstars with different crews, and then became the hosts of the It Is What It Is podcast. There was some friction along the way, but Cam and Mase have become better friends than ever, and have even recorded music together. The former wants to release it, and loves talking about it. The latter, though, doesn’t want anything to drop until it’s time.

Time for what? Well, Cam’ron doesn’t know either. The rapper hopped on Instagram Live to confirm that him and Mase have enough music for a full-length album. He also revealed that Murda Mase has kept the music under lock-and-key. “Me and Mase got an album,” he asserted. “He said we can’t put it out! I don’t know what it’s about. We did six-seven songs. We do the songs and then he say, ‘No.’”

Cam’ron assured fans that he is eager to put them out, but he doesn’t want to go against the wishes of his partner-in-crime. “I don’t know what Mase is saving them for,” he added. “But we got songs together and not together. I’m just not allowed to play them.”

It’s obvious that Cam’ron is eager to put new music out. He dropped a freestyle to promote the fourth season of It Is What It Is, and fans flooded the IG comment section asking for a new album. Cam’s last release was the 2023 mixtape The Lost Tapes Vol. 1, but he’s repeatedly talked up how good his stuff with Mase is in particular. “Them sh*ts is hot too,” he noted. “I ain’t gonna front, he got some real, real, real good songs. What he holding onto them for? I can’t answer that.”

Hopefully Cam’ron coerces Mase into putting the album out. The former might take a long time with new releases, but Mase hasn’t dropped a project since Welcome Back in 2004. He put the battery back in the pack for the Diddy diss “Oracle 2: The Liberation of Mason Betha” in 2022, which has aged wonderfully given Diddy’s current legal situation. Excluding this standalone single, though, Mase hasn’t been on a song since Eric Bellinger’s “Nothing” in 2014.

It’s officially time for a comeback, and it seems like Cam’ron is slowly setting the stage for it.

“I grew up in a house [where] I’m the only girl out of all boys, and I’m the firstborn, so like I’ve always been literally the princess,” Anycia said. “It’s Princess Pop That because I’m still a princess, really a queen, I do as I please. I don’t touch a door, if I got some heavy bags, I don’t give a damn what man is right there, pick it up! It’s my world and everybody else is just living in it.”

Drake Dethroned By Taylor Swift With Massive Album Streaming Record

Taylor Swift’s new album, The Tortured Poets Department, fulfilled the prophecy set out by Drake on his last Kendrick Lamar diss, “Taylor Made Freestyle.” “Yeah, shout out to Taylor Swift, biggest gangster in the music game right now,” he expressed on that cut. “You know, I moved my album when she dropped, I said that already. You know, she ’bout to milli’ run through a Milly Rock on your head top, well… She got the whole pgLang on mute like that Beyoncé challenge. Y’all boys quiet for the weekend.” As such, we assume it came as no surprise to Drizzy when he heard the news that the Pennsylvania superstar broke one of his biggest records.

Moreover, The Tortured Poets Department had the biggest ever streaming week for an album in the U.S. with 891 million first week streams, a record previously held by Drake’s Scorpion in 2018 with 746 million. Taylor Swift’s latest obviously debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with a staggering 2.61 million album-equivalent units sold, and this places the two in yet another tug of war when it comes to commercial records. What’s more is that this wasn’t the only notable hip-hop crossover record-breaker, as she and Jay-Z are now tied for the most chart-topping albums by a solo artist with 14 each. The only artists that have more of these are The Beatles with 19 No. 1 projects.

Of course, this is all pretty ironic but very much unsurprising given how Drake roped Taylor Swift into his Kendrick Lamar beef, something that we don’t even know if she cares about or not. Elsewhere, though, he had other big things to celebrate when it comes to his discography. The Toronto creative recently commemorated Views‘ eighth anniversary, an album that took him to the next commercial level and that has kept his foot on that gas pedal ever since. With standouts like “Weston Road Flows,” “Still Here,” “Redemption,” “Feel No Ways,” and more, it’s no wonder some OVO fans hold it in such high regard.

Meanwhile, Drizzy is daring to do what other artists won’t by talking about Taylor Swift so openly. After all, MGK recently avoided answering a question about her because he didn’t want any “smoke” with Swifties. Brother Ali & UnJUST Are More Than Formidable On “Love & Service”

Brother Ali, a Madison, Wisconsin native, is just one solider in an army of some of the most unheralded lyricists the game has ever seen. On his new album Love & Service, Brother Ali is showing why he deserves that title and more recognition. Joining him one of the best records of the year so far is California producer unJUST.

Over the last few weeks or so, Ali had been dropping several singles ahead of his 12th project. In fact, all of this comes after a two-year hiatus of zero loosies or projects. He began the rollout back in February with “Ottomans” and would then go on to drop four more after that. Brother Ali went and grabbed a few features for the record as well, including Roc Marciano, Aesop Rock, Casual, Quelle Chris, and Rakaya Esime Fetuga.

Across this 13-song tracklist, the longtime rapper discusses various topics that are always a welcome sight to hear instead of the traditional trap and pop rap talk. PARTYNEXTDOOR Wants To See Things Through On “Make It To The Morning”

You know what kind of vibes you are going to get whenever PARTYNEXTDOOR drops a new album. That is especially the case when it is a self-titled release. Over the weekend, the sensual R&B balladeer returned with PARTYNEXTDOOR 4 (P4), the first entry in the series since 2016. It is also his first record since 2020, so this is an exciting time to be fan of the Mississauga, Ontario native. One song that we have been enjoying from this new PARTYNEXTDOOR album is “Make It To The Morning.”

The veteran sticks to his tried-and-true formula of moody slow-mo sounds on this cut, just like the rest of the album does. “M a k e I t T o T h e M o r n i n g” sees PARTY singing passionately about wanting to give this girl he is seeing a chance, even though she seems to be problematic. It appears that this song is depicting their first time seeing each other and instead of his normal routine and of a same-night stand, he wants to make it to the next day.

“I don’t wanna fight with ya, tryna end my night with ya / Don’t let yo’ mind getcha, I wanna vibe with you,” he sings. In terms of the quality of the track, it does have a solid melody and the expected solid vocals. The Fenty Beauty founder hosted a launch party this Friday for the brand’s new Soft’lit Foundation, where she gave Extra an exciting update on her upcoming album. The project will follow her 2016 LP Anti, and according to her, there’s a good reason she’s waited this long.

RiRi told the outlet that she’s determined to make sure her next project is flawless. Luckily, it seems as though she has high hopes. “It’s gonna be amazing,” she said of upcoming music. “It has to be — that is the only reason it’s not out yet. If I’m not feeling it and I’m not feeling like it represents the evolution, the time I spent away … There should be a show of growth, right?”

PartyNextDoor’s “P4” First-Week Sales Projections Are In

Last week, PartyNextDoor unveiled his eagerly anticipated fourth studio album, PARTYNEXTDOOR 4 (P4). The project has since been met with plenty of praise from fans and critics alike, with many arguing that it’s some of his best work yet. The album is his first in four years and follows his 2020 LP PARTYMOBILE. It’s the third in his self-titled series, following his 2016 offering, P3.

While fans continue to hype the Canadian-born performer’s latest project, estimates on how it’ll perform in its first week have surfaced online. According to HipHop-N-More, it’s on track to sell 33–38k. This is a bit of a drop-off from what his last album PARTYMOBILE sold in its first week, 50k.

The announcement of PartyNextDoor’s new album made a splash, thanks in part to its NSFW cover art. It features a nude model bent over on a bed, which had all of social media shaken. The cover is so shocking that many even suspected it was some kind of April Fool’s Day prank, but alas, it wasn’t. The model in question is Lanazia Greene, who also goes by MaamiNextDoor. It was later revealed that she has a child with Haiti Babii, who took to social media to address the outcry over the scandalous album art. Fortunately, he didn’t seem too upset by the cover. In fact, he seemed happy for the mother of his child.
