Chow Lee Keeps The Sexy Drill Movement Going With New LP “Sex Drive”

Chow Lee is an artist who completely embraces the sexy drill aesthetic that has taken hip-hop by storm over the past couple of years. Overall, it should come as no surprise that he is consistently collaborating with Cash Cobain, who is also a pioneer of this sound. Recently, Cash dropped his project, and now, Chow Lee is here with his own. On Friday, the artist dropped off his new LP Sex Drive which features some of the horniest songs you will ever hear.

Throughout this project, there is a good number of features. For instance, you will hear the likes of AJ Tracey, Roy Woods, Cash Cobain, and even Flo Milli. Anycia also makes an appearance on the album, which is certainly nice to hear. The project is filled with atmospheric and danceable production, while Chow Lee’s vocals are chilled, and laid back, and provide lyrics that contain every single reference to sex imaginable. If you love sexy drill, you will enjoy this new project.

Let us know what you think about this new project from Chow Lee, in the comments section down below. How do you feel about the Sexy Drill movement? Are you a fan of artists like Lee and Cash Cobain? Toro Y Moi Teams Up With Don Toliver, Kevin Abstract, & More For His New Album, “Hole Earth”

Toro Y Moi has teamed up with several artists for his new album, Hole Earth, including Kevin Abstract, Kenny Mason, and more. He dropped the project on Friday, marking his eighth studio album and first since 2022’s Mahal. In a press release for the drop, he wrote: “Humans are tapping into this more tribal, earthier aesthetic. With the album title alone, that’s something I wanted to spark as a conversation. We can be off the grid, and also be on the internet, and try out all of these different lifestyles at the same time.”

One of the most note-worthy collaborations on the project comes with the eighth track, “Madonna,” on which Don Toliver makes an appearance. Toro Y Moi explained how that came together during an interview with Junkee ahead of the project’s release. “I got to hop on his record, and especially through Cactus Jack and that whole relationship, I felt like I wanted to just continue supporting them and trying to figure out new sounds,” he explained. “Don was one of the first sessions for this record, he came by my studio here in Berkeley and knocked out those two songs over the course of a couple days. It’s one of those collaborations that just took three or four years for music to finally come out of it but that’s the kind of relationship you want. I don’t know if it was us being synced through the recording process, but our records coming out in the same year is an example of how it’s beneficial to take your time with collaborations. It doesn’t have to always be like, get it out ASAP.” Be on the lookout for further updates on Toro Y Moi on HotNewHipHop.

The Weeknd Unveils Album Cover For “Hurry Up Tomorrow”

We are almost at the finish line, and as bittersweet as it is, it looks like The Weeknd will close out his trilogy – and moniker – with a bang. Moreover, he just unveiled the official album cover art for his new upcoming LP, Hurry Up Tomorrow. Much like its predecessors, After Hours and Dawn FM, it’s an image of the Canadian superstar’s face, but this one is much more “normal” and rudimentary compared to the blood-soaked and aged portraits of the aforementioned projects, respectively. As such, fans couldn’t be more excited to hear how these themes will wrap up with this third and final piece of the puzzle.

Furthermore, this adds to other Hurry Up Tomorrow details that The Weeknd shared with Billboard Brazil in their interview before his shows in the country this weekend. One of them is that he actually composed the “central song” of this new record in São Paulo. Abel Tesfaye also called something “Frankenstein,” and it’s a bit unclear if this is a nickname for the album as a whole or for this “central song” that the article mentions. Either way, this nickname indicates a fusion of a lot of different genres and sonic styles that still maintains a core and unmistakeable identity at its root.

The Weeknd’s Hurry Up Tomorrow Cover Art

In addition, even though The Weeknd’s website doesn’t indicate a release date for this new album, we do have some hints as to when Hurry Up Tomorrow will come out. Well, we have one hint, to be honest. This is because of the physical pre-orders that he put up for this new LP, in addition to a pre-save option for digital streaming platforms. In the pre-order item description, it doesn’t indicate any release date. However, it does say that the physical copies will ship near the release date, which will apparently be no later than six months from today (Saturday, September 7). Hopefully he doesn’t take cues from his potential future collaborator Playboi Carti and actually drops the album.

Jokes aside, this rollout and piece-by-piece hype construction is very different to the Atlanta MC’s situation. Either way, we can’t wait to see what The Weeknd brings us next, especially with this artwork in mind. Will we get a more raw, simple, vulnerable, and definitive album building off of his mysterious, emotional, and trippy journey so far? Or can we not even fathom what’s in store right now? We can’t even tell which is the more exciting option.

Cardi B Teases New Album With Cryptic Hint

Cardi B has had a hectic past few months, but fortunately for her fans, there’s only more to come. Last month, it was revealed that she filed for divorce from her husband Offset after several years. Shortly after, she announced that she was pregnant with their third child. Nowadays, she’s also continuing to work on her highly anticipated sophomore album. For now, it doesn’t have an official release date, though Cardi does appear to be dropping hints.

Yesterday, the “Enough” rapper took to her Instagram broadcast channel with a cryptic message featuring the number 11. KenBarbie shared the news on Twitter/X, and Cardi retweeted the post, seemingly suggesting that the blogger could be onto something. It’s unconfirmed exactly what the number 11 means in this case, but it’s not the first time fans have seen it pop up.

Cardi B Drops Another Mysterious 11

For her BET Experience concert in June, Cardi also rocked a bedazzled jersey featuring the number 11. At the time, it prompted fans to speculate that this meant the album would be dropping in November, on the 11th day of a month, or even that the number could be related to the title somehow. It looks like fans will just have to wait and see what all of this means, and whether or not the project arrives this year as promised.

Luckily, she told her supporters earlier this month that she was ready to get down to business as she celebrated the success of her debut, Invasion of Privacy. “Album still sellin like good quality p*ssy,” she said at the time. “OKAY OKAY let me stop playing and drop this second album.” What do you think about Cardi B seemingly dropping hints related to her upcoming album? Are you looking forward to hearing it when it finally comes out? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Wack 100 Thinks Kendrick Lamar Lost Momentum & Interest By Not Dropping An Album Yet

Like many other people in the hip-hop world, Wack 100 is wondering what in the world is going on with Kendrick Lamar. Folks thought that he might follow up the Drake battle with some immediate new music, but all we’ve heard are crickets ever since the “Not Like Us” rollout and Juneteenth concert. While this is surely frustrating for many, most people are just happy to be patient for whatever creativity K.Dot brings us next. But Wack thinks that he’s actually losing momentum now due to this lateness, and that people won’t express interest in his next moves for much longer.

“[He] thinks he’s going to ride the wave from March, April, May (to November, December),” Wack 100 said of Kendrick Lamar on social media. “That don’t work like that now. Too many people gon’ get shot. A n***a gon’ die of an overdose. This n***a over here gon’ get out of jail. This n***a over here gon’ jump off the top of a building. They’re going to totally forget about what the f**k happened seven, eight months ago. You’re not going to have the attention of the people, bro.”

Wack 100 Thinks Kendrick Lamar Is Taking Too Long To Drop

“Something would’ve had to come out, bro,” Wack 100 continued concerning Kendrick Lamar. “Something would’ve had to come out to ride the wave, something! If he would’ve still been up under TDE, Top Dawg, something would’ve came out. N***a, that’s a fact, I’ma tell you that right now. Something would’ve came out if he had been up under that. But I’ma be real. These guys that come from 10, 15, 20 years ago, they have this process that they do to create an album that serves no purpose today. You understand what I’m saying?

“These young n***as go in, they kick them out,” Wack 100 continued. “2 minute songs, get it out, get it out. These n***as got this long process where they do some songs, then they listen to them in the studio for a month, then they go back and f**k with them again another month. Then it takes another month, they mix it, they change the mix and change this s**t. These n***as taking three, four months, my n***a. You had a buzz going for whatever reason. By that time, you’ve lost the people.”

Lil Durk Teases New Music After Dissing Current State Of Hip Hop

Lil Durk isn’t happy with the way things are going. He may be a Grammy-winning superstar, but he thinks hip hop is in a bad way. He made this clear on September 6. The rapper took to Twitter to vent about the genre and its shortcomings. “Hip hop ain’t what it used to be…,” he wrote. He didn’t get too specific with why or how the genre has let him down, but it has nonetheless. Lil Durk solution? To drop new music of his own. The rapper followed up his hot take with an Instagram announcement that he’s hungry to take over the rest of 2024.

Lil Durk hopped on Instagram and made it clear that he has new music on the way. The rapper recorded himself listening to an unreleased song, while the caption laid out his game plan. “F*ck numbers,” it read. “Feed the streets… Smurk back hungry.” The song in question is “Discontinuing Wockhardt,” the Drake collab that Adin Ross previewed a few days earlier. There’s a bit of hypocrisy in criticizing the rap game and then linking up with Drake for a new single, but Lil Durk stood on business. He thinks something is off, and he feels like he’s the guy to remedy it.

Lil Durk Teased The Release Of His New Drake Collab

Lil Durk has been transparent about his emotions over the years. He’s been outspoken in the past, but he’s also been forthright about his experiences in therapy. He shed light on the latter during an interview with Complex. “I got a therapist so I cope different,” the rapper explained. “You know, it don’t just gotta be I’m finna go take all these drugs, or I’m finna go get my feelings like this. I got my family, I got my girl, I got a therapist, I got my kids and I got the studio.”

Lil Durk’s criticisms about the genre are not wrong, even if they are vague. There’s been a general sense of uncertainty about hip hop in 2024. If your name isn’t Drake, Kendrick Lamar, or Travis Scott, it seems to be very difficult to move units. Mustard and YG fell victim to this in recent months. Big Sean, who just dropped his anticipated comeback album, just had the worst first week sales of his career. Durk is merely voicing what a lot of fans have been feeling. Is he using this feeling to generate hype for his new music? Sure. Such is the nature of the game.

Big Sean Reveals Plans To Reunite With Jhene Aiko For New TWENTY88 Album

Big Sean is on a creative roll. The rapper has finally dropped his anticipated comeback album, Better Me Than You, and he has even more music on the way. He previously alluded to new music during an IG Live session, but he confirmed it during a recent interview with Complex. Not only is Sean working on another full length project, but he’s doing so with the mother of his child, Jhene Aiko. The two artists have a long history of working together, and they’ve may be considering a sequel to their 2016 joint album.

Big Sean has not slowed down one bit since the release of the aforementioned Better Me Than You. If anything, the rapper has hit the gas and decided to put even more work in. He told Complex that he has plans to reunite TWENTY88 for a new album in the near future. “I’ve been looking at [the album] as a living, breathing being because I decided to put it out this week,” he told the outlet. “I was going to keep holding onto it.”

Big Sean Has Been Working With Alchemist For Years

Big Sean’s recording process has been somewhat scattered. Still, he told the outlet that he wants to make sure they end up in the right place. For example, he pointed to a Nicki Minaj collab as a track that would fit better on a TWENTY88 album. “One of the Twenty88 songs,” the rapper noted. “I was like, ‘Oh, it kind of fits better on the album,’ but it wasn’t all the way done yet.” The album sales for Better Me Than You have not been spectacular. That said, we’re excited to see what Sean has in store regardless.

Big Sean also has plans for a joint album with The Alchemist. They worked together on a standout cut for Larry June’s The Great Escape, and Alc produced the song “Together Forever” on the new Sean album. Fans may have anticipated more Alchemist beats on Better Me Than You, but it seems Big Sean was saving them. “That’s part of a side quest I’m doing with Alchemist that me and him been locked in on,” the rapper revealed. “So, excited about that.” He then confirmed that a full length album between him and The Alchemist is in the works. “That’s a project that me and Alchemist are working on together,” he explained. “So that’s why that part is not on the album.”

The Weeknd Reveals Exciting Details About His Upcoming Album “Hurry Up Tomorrow”

A new interview with Billboard Brazil has shed light on The Weeknd’s upcoming show in São Paulo, his love of his Brazilian fanbase, mental health, and much more. But one of the most exciting parts of the conversation was the details that he spread around the piece about his next album, Hurry Up Tomorrow. This will not only close out Abel’s 2020s trilogy as the follow-up to After Hours and Dawn FM, but it will also apparently retire The Weeknd moniker as a creative project with one last hurrah. With all this excitement around this next full-length in mind, it’s no wonder that every little breadcrumb is leaving fans starving for more.

Furthermore, the first big detail to note is that The Weeknd’s Hurry Up Tomorrow has a “central song,” according to Billboard. He apparently nicknamed it “Frankenstein” for how its sonic fusions didn’t take away from the essence of the record (although that might refer to HUT as a whole). The Canadian superstar reportedly composed it during his last São Paulo concert visit last October. Since then, he’s not only dropped a few collaborations, but his teases towards another Playboi Carti link-up and more have really energized fans’ excitement.

However, the most important revelation about Hurry Up Tomorrow was about the mind-state that The Weeknd created it in. “There is always pressure to surpass my last project,” he expressed. “Growth is important. Sometimes it may not be what people want to hear from me at the moment, but, when the body of work is complete, I hope they can appreciate what I have been trying to achieve. I have been working on this discography for a long time. It was all planned.”

Meanwhile, The Weeknd also spoke on his remarks about facing “the abyss” shortly after announcing this year’s Brazil visit. “It can mean many things,” he shared. “For me, it is something very specific,” he says in the interview, in a mysterious mood. “I faced it long enough. Most of the time, I overcame it. But I work on it every day. I hope that [my music] helps others face and overcome the abyss, too.” From what this all indicates, Hurry Up Tomorrow will be a deeply cathartic, vividly creative, and bittersweet experience. We’ll take ten copies, please.

LL Cool J Makes His Triumphant Return With New Album “The FORCE”

LL Cool J is here. The legendary rapper has released his first new album in over a decade. Not only that, but LL has aggressively promoted the album by doing interviews and podcast appearances. It feels like the New York spitter has more passion harnessed into The FORCE than he did his previous effort, Exit 13. He certainly has more guest features. The FORCE has a staggering lineup of artists from multiple eras of hip hop. It’s a testament to LL Cool J’s reputation that he could take a decade off, then come back and secure features from the likes of Nas and Eminem. Plus, the album is actually good.

“Saturday Night Special” remains a standout, with its old school production and smooth turns from both Rick Ross and Fat Joe. The collaborations between LL Cool J and his roster of guests consistently make for the best songs on the album. “Proclivities” gets LL back in smooth talking, slow jam mode, and it has a killer Saweetie verse to boot. Busta Rhymes brings out LL’s energetic side on “Huey In the Chair,” while “Praise Him” sees LL Cool J and Nas swap bars over another vintage beat. The solo cuts on The FORCE are solid, “Post Modern” and “Basquiat Energy,” in particular, but they do lack the hunger and the spark that LL gets whenever he’s feeding off others. A definite improvement over Exit 13, and overall, the best LL has sounded in a long time. No “Accidental Racist” train-wrecks here.

Westside Gunn Confirms New Album “Still Praying” Is On The Way

Westside Gunn had a huge 2023. The rapper dropped And Then You Pray for Me, his most high profile album to date. He also kept the hardcore fans fed with Hall & Nash 2. He’s had a relatively quiet 2024, in comparison to his Griselda brothers (Benny the Butcher can’t stop dropping music). That said, Westside Gunn is back. The Buffalo rapper has confirmed that his new album Still Praying is in the works, and it will be out sooner than later.

Westside Gunn made the announcement via Instagram on September 4. “Still Praying coming soon,” he wrote in the caption. He tagged Griselda, and then proceeded to build up hype even further by dubbing the new album a “f*ckin art piece.” The rapper failed to provide a release date or tracklist, but he did give fans a look at the cover art. Still Praying continues Westside Gunn’s run of stellar album covers by giving fans a photo of the late wrestler Sidney “Sid Vicious” Eudy.

Westside Gunn Channels WWE On The Album Cover

Westside Gunn is one of the biggest wrestling fans in hip hop, so the shoutout makes sense. He rapped a song at AEW Dynamite in 2022, and provided the walkout song for wrestler Daniel Garcia. “It’s been time for him to get a little shine,” Garcia told Pitchfork. “So I’m glad we were able to put that shine on him and give him that moment.” Westside Gunn has also made numerous wrestling references in his music. In a 2023 interview with Billboard, the rapper cited Scott Hall as his all time favorite wrestler. “I respect all the old fly sh*t,” he asserted. “That n**ga was the illest. That don’t take from the other n**ga with the chains and the toothpick…. It’s like me in real life.”

Westside Gunn may be known for his tireless work ethic, but the rapper did admit that he wants to take more time crafting albums. Less output, even more quality. “Back in the day, it was the flood sh*t,” he told Billboard. “Now you only hear me when I do an album or a feature. It’s like you really only hear me when I do an album now.” It’s not like the quality of Westside’s albums were suffering to begin with, so we can’t wait to hear what Still Praying sounds like. Whenever it drops.
