City Girls Sell 10K Units First Week For “RAW” Amid Claims They Fumbled The Bag

City Girls’ official first week sales for their new album RAW are here, and at least its debut isn’t as bad as people thought it would be, although it’s still surely disappointing and disheartening. Moreover, they sold 10K album-equivalent units in its first week, making their chart entrance at No. 117 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. People initially thought it would be 6K based on projections, which caused media figures to clown the Miami duo. However, they had plenty to express on the matter, and did so recently during their appearance on The Breakfast Club. While sales don’t really matter at the end of the day, it’s easy to say that as a fan, and not as an artist trying to reach many people with your art.

It’s tough times,” JT of the City Girls explained to the radio show’s hosts. “You get what you put in, in this s**t. And I feel like, collectively, we didn’t do what we had to do to promote the album. But if you don’t go hard with promoting your s**t, and putting it in people’s face, it’s like, of course it’s going to miss people.”

City Girls’ RAW‘s First Week Sales Are Here

“Right now, stunting ain’t cool, because people broke,” JT continued, who’s coming out with a solo album soon. “I feel like we have a bad timing thing. I feel like our timing, and our management, is poor. We’ve got poor management, poor timing- like, it’s really never no strategy. We just out here, like, why the f**k are we at The Breakfast Club a week after our thing dropped?” Overall, these are very important questions to ask, and it’s crucial to identify that the City Girls took some responsibility but also looked at factors external to them.

Whatever happened here, it’s clear that they’re somewhat unbothered by these jokes, but still recognize that they need a different approach. Whether that has to do with their team or their own choices is a question that will surely dominate their next planning moves. But one flop doesn’t necessarily make you irrelevant, and as a huge group online and at festivals, they’ll need to really bounce back with something special. On that note, check back in with HNHH for more updates and the latest news on the City Girls.

Don Trip Drops New Album “Red October”

Don Trip has kept himself busy as of late, dropping off 10 albums and EPs in just the past year alone. He kicked things off with his Gotham City EP in January, unveiling yet another EP, iHeartStrippersToo, the following month. He went on to unveil a full-length offering, The Devil You Know, in March. The 38-year-old tapped Starlito, Eddie Valero, Casino Jizzle, Kendrick P. and more for the LP.

He released two more EPs, Shoulders Of Giants and Die Another Day, before releasing Long Live Pif in June. The album pays homage to the late up-and-coming Memphis rapper, who was shot and killed in September of 2020. LPs Fireworks and Hell’s Kitchen followed, with his second to last full-length offering, 1207 James St., coming out at the end of September. Now, the rapper’s back with yet another new album, Red October. The eight-track effort boasts a lone posthumous appearance from Pif, otherwise consisting only of soulful bars from the Tennessee native.

Domo Genesis Teams Up With Producer Graymatter For His Third LP Of 2023 With “What You Don’t Get!?”

Odd Future seems to be on the cusp of making a full return sometime in the near future We got a hint at what they are going to sound like with their very interesting but also confusing single, “NEW FUTURE ERA.” It is on YouTube and the track only lasts around 50 seconds. Needless to say, though we are not sure exactly what direction they are going in. However, we do know where Domo Genesis is right now.

The Inglewood, California rapper for more casual listeners may be remembered as someone who has worked with Tyler, The Creator. But, for the hip-hop heads out there, they know him more as a talented lyricist with a more serious solo career. In 2023 Domo has been pushing out tons of material

Baltimore rapper Shordie Shordie and Canadian producer Murda Beatz are a duo you might not expect. However, they are very familiar with one another. Mariah The Scientist Says Young Thug’s “The One,” Opens Up About His Incarceration

During her recent appearance on Way Up With Angela Yee, Mariah The Scientist spoke on her relationship with Young Thug. Reportedly, the pair first got together in 2021, shortly before he was arrested. She says his prison stay has been tough for her, though she does her best to stay strong for his sake.

“I think in the beginning I was so sensitive about it,” she explained. “I was so emotional, I was crying all the time.” Ultimately, she concluded that being sad about his incarceration would only make things worse for both of them. “It was like you can’t be crying when you got a man in jail because it’s going to make him sad. So you can’t be acting like that,” she said.

Mariah The Scientist Says Jail “Solidified” Her Relationship With Young Thug

According to her, however, things aren’t all bad. She says she believes that his incarceration has actually strengthened their bond, though she can’t say things would be the same if she wasn’t sure they were a match. “It’s almost like jail solidified our relationship,” she described. “I’m willing to wait it out because I feel like he’s the one. If I didn’t really see that in him, I probably wouldn’t.” Luckily, the two of them still get to see each other once a week when Mariah visits him at Cobb County Jail. They also chat on the phone daily, surely making things easier on both of them as he awaits jury selection for his RICO trial.

Aside from their romantic relationship, the two of them also collaborate musically, with Young Thug appearing on her new album To Be Eaten Alive. The LP also includes features from 21 Savage and Vory. What do you think of Mariah The Scientist claiming that Young Thug’s jail time has “solidified” their relationship?
