Future And Metro Boomin Throw A Rave In A Broadway Theater In Their ‘Drink N Dance’ Video

In the video for “Drink N Dance” from their new album We Still Don’t Trust You, Future and Metro Boomin turn a Broadway theater into a steamy rave. Posted up outside the historic Los Angeles Theatre — I bet you didn’t know LA had a Broadway too — Future performs part of his verse in a T-shirt reading “I Am The Bad Guy.” He continues to sing and rap amid intercuts of the venue being filled with scantily clad women and extreme closeups as he gets intimate with them.

The song is a more peaceful example from the producer-rapper duo’s recent output, which has drawn most of their attention from the war-ready contributions of collaborators ASAP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, and The Weeknd. On the first installment of the double album, We Don’t Trust You, Kendrick Lamar lit into Drake and J. Cole for “sneak dissin’” him on their song “First Person Future,” while on songs from the more recent release, ASAP Rocky and The Weeknd both had words for their Canadian former collaborator.

Future and Metro are preparing to take this dichotomy on the road with their We Trust You Tour, which begins at the end of July and runs through early September.

6ix9ine’s Florida Home Gets Raided By IRS Agents

Earlier today, some footage of what appeared to be 6ix9ine’s vehicles surfaced online, along with claims that they had been seized by officials. At the time, it was unconfirmed exactly why the vehicles were no longer in the rapper’s possession. A slip on his windshield, however, provided fans with plenty of clues. It stated that they were seized for “nonpayment of internal revenue taxes.”

This seems to check out, as new reports reveal that the IRS paid a visit to his Lake Worth, FL home today. According to TMZ, federal agents pulled up while 6ix9ine wasn’t home and seized several of his belongings. It remains unclear what, besides his vehicles, the agents confiscated. When asked for a statement on the debacle, his attorney Lance Lazzaro just told the outlet, “We are assessing the situation and will issue a statement at the appropriate time.”

6ix9ine’s Cars Seized By Federal Agents

The outlet reports that the rainbow-haired rapper isn’t currently in the States. Apparently, he’s still sorting out his legal issues in the Dominican Republic. A few months back, he was arrested for alleged assault after a recording studio run-in and was promptly released. Per the terms of his release, however, he was ordered to stay in the DR for at least six months. Another mandatory condition of his release was that he attend anger management classes. He appears to be doing that, albeit not enjoying it much.

As for what the MC’s been up to outside of his legal drama, he recently teased an upcoming collaboration with NBA YoungBoy. In a clip shared on social media in February, the two of them chatted about new music on a FaceTime call, though details of that have not yet been revealed. What do you think of IRS agents reportedly pulling up to 6ix9ine’s home to confiscate his belongings? What about them seizing his cars? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

JP, feardorian, JaeyBxrd, Papo2oo4, & SVDP: Artists To Listen To Right Now

Every single month, HNHH comes through with a feature containing lesser-known artists that you need to check out right now. Overall, it is an attempt to help our readers expand their horizons and catch onto new artists before they blow up. Furthermore, sometimes, we steer our readers toward artists who they may have missed, despite their current virality. Whatever the case, discovering new music is a whole lot of fun, and in April, our staff got together to talk about some of their favorite under-the-radar releases of the last 30 days. From viral tracks to underground darlings, there is a lot of great music to get to.

JP – “Bad Bitty”

First up, we have JP, a college basketball player from Milwaukee who is making waves in the city’s burgeoning rap scene. Milwaukee rap has characterized itself with one word: “fun.” From catchy danceable tracks to some hilarious samples, artists from Wisconsin’s premiere city seem to be captivating audiences. JP is quintessential Milwaukee. From his extremely catchy bars to his infectious energy, it should come as no surprise that “Bad Bitty” is one of the most viral tracks on the internet right now. He’s become an internet meme, but he still gets talked about with reverence. If there was ever a song to reach “Song of the Summer” status in the middle of the Spring, it would be this one.

feardorian – “highschool”

FearDorian recently put out his debut album and it is getting some critical praise. There is very good reason for this. The Surf Gang collaborator has been making waves with a plethora of incredible tracks and beats that will make you feel like you are on a cloud. Overall, the artist is also a proficient MC who just makes you excited about the way they deliver their tracks. Not to mention, the artist has consistently taken risks with samples. For instance, Amy Winehouse has found her way onto some of FearDorian’s releases. It just goes to show that artists associated with the Milwaukee scene are making some of the most unique music in the United States.

Papo2oo4 – “Had To Ball”

Popo2oo4 is an artist who has been around for a while at this point. Overall, the New York MC has a unique delivery and style that will make you nostalgic for the early to mid-2000s. Even the visual for “Had 2 Ball” is a great example of this. While rapping in front of rims, YouTube commenters are reminded of the Midnight Club video games. However, even the style and beat selections will make you think of those same visual aesthetics. Nostalgia is a very powerful tool in terms of connecting with your audience, and Papo certainly has that in droves.

JaeyBxrd – “Cut Me Open”

JaeyBxrd is an artist who has been bubbling thanks to his unique ability to blend genres. Overall, there have always been artists who try to mix genres. However, JaeyBxrd does it in a way that makes you relive the glory days of early 2000s Post Grunge, and late 2010s SoundCloud rap. He’s one part Juice WRLD and another part Breaking Benjamin. It makes for a great mix of sounds, even if the music reviewer “intelligencia” might scoff at his mere existence. With the song “Cut Me Open,” JaeyBxrd makes an impact that will make you want to go back and play those PlayStation 2 era MX vs. ATV games. It’s a very specific reference, but when you listen to his music, you will understand.

SVDP – “WHIZTLA”

SVDP is a Toronto artist who has been working with plenty of other staples of the Canadian music scene. For instance, the artist recently collaborated with Backxwash and the producer LA+CH. In fact, SVDP got to link up with LA+CH on the track “WHIZTLA” which is an off-kilter banger. The song weaves in and out of calmer and sped-up flows, creating perfect contrasts from start to finish. Meanwhile, the production helps take the song to a new level. Overall, this is a song that you need to check out right now. Additionally, it should urge you to check out other artists within Canada, who are pushing boundaries in their field.

Let us know which of these songs was your favorite, in the comments section down below.

Coi Leray Teases Fans With A Potential Name Change

Earlier this year, Coi Leray found herself unexpectedly in the middle of a beef. Eminem made a brief appearance on the Lyrical Lemonade album All Is Yellow where he took shots at Coi’s father Benzino. He even mentioned Coi by name in the verse, joking that he wouldn’t be able to score a feature from her anymore. Though her father hit back repeatedly Coi mainly tried to avoid the beef entirely and take the high road.

Now she’s working on some artistic changes following a shift to Island Records earlier this year. She dropped her debut single on the new label “Wanna Come Thru” back in January. But she could be going forward in her career with a different name, albeit just a shortened one. She took to X, formerly Twitter, to muse on the idea earlier this week. “I want to remove “LERAY” from my name and just be COI :)” she posted. In the comments, fans debate whether her name is better with or without the Leray. Some point out that she already named her new album that dropped last year COI. Others think the name is perfect for the cuter side of her demeanor. Check out all the opinions fans expressed below.

Coi Leray Considers Going By Just “Coi”

Over the weekend, Coi Leray took the stage for a performance at Coachella. While there she debuted a few new songs for fans while also unpacking some of her biggest hits. She performed “Blick Blick,” “Players,” and her Anne-Marie and David Guetta collaboration “Baby Don’t Hurt Me.”

Coi also popped up on another collaboration recently. She teamed up with Kaliii to contribute guest verses to the G-Easy song “Femme Fatale” which dropped earlier this month. The song has already racked up nearly 2 million streams in just a few weeks. What do you think of Coi Leray dropping her middle name and just going by “Coi?” Do you think it would make her harder to identify? Let us know in the comment section below.

Is 6ix9ine Okay? Bullet Holes In Driver Side-Window Of Seized Bentley Worry Fans

6ix9ine’s life has been nothing short of chaotic in recent months, and evidently, things only continue to heat up. Earlier today, it was revealed that the rapper’s cars were seized after a clip of them at a facility surfaced online. In the video, a man shows off the vehicles, which are decorated with colorful paint splatters, in full 6ix9ine fashion.

In the video, the cameraman also zeroes in on a sheet of paper taped onto one of the car’s windshields, which claims they were seized for “nonpayment of internal revenue taxes.” Details around that situation remain murky, but what has fans really concerned is what was spotted in the window of his rainbow Bentley.

6ix9ine Accused Of Failing To Pay Taxes

In the video, two bullet holes are seen in the driver-side window of the car, seemingly indicating that he was shot at recently. Fortunately, it doesn’t look as though the bullets made it to the other side of the glass. This means that it’s likely the rapper is okay. Either way, the clip has fans worried for his safety, as they speculate about what could have prompted the apparent shooting. “It’s definitely a worrying situation because it sounds like a serious situation,” one fan writes in DJ Akademiks’ Twitter/X replies. “Hopefully, he’s safe, and there’s more clarity on what’s happening soon.”

Some think his infamous alleged snitching scandal could be to blame. Others think his trolling could have finally caught up to him. Many also suspect the whole thing could be a publicity stunt, meaning that he might drop soon. Regardless, fans and peers hope to get more details soon, and that the rapper is safe. What do you think of 6ix9ine’s cars getting seized earlier this week? What about a bullet hole being spotted in the driver-side window of his Bentley? How about him allegedly failing to pay his taxes? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

21 Savage Cracks Time’s 2024 Most Influential People List

According to Time magazine, 21 Savage is one of the most influential people in the world right now. The “Rich Flex” rapper dropped his new solo album American Dream earlier this year to critical acclaim. It served as his first solo project since the equally acclaimed i am > i was in 2019. During the time in between he collaborated with some of the biggest names in rap. He released collaborative record with Metro Boomin & Drake while making dozens of high-profile featured appearances.

Now the Atlanta rapper is being honored for his influence. Time Magazine has a long history of identifying the most important and influential people in the world across all kinds of professions and outputs. For the story, they recruited one of 21’s collaborators to share his thoughts on the rapper. Burna Boy and 21 Savage have worked together twice. First 21 gave a guest verse to Burna’s song “Sittin On Top Of The World” and was then paid back on his song “just like me.” The afrobeats star penned an impressive tribute to Savage. His approach to rap is refreshingly genuine; he speaks to us in a relatable way, effortlessly navigating the complexities of the genre. Whether he tackles weighty subjects or offers moments of levity, his delivery remains compelling.”

Coi Leray Apologizes To Adrien Broner Following Brutal Rejection

Coi Leray is someone who has been making waves as of late. Overall, she is easily one of the biggest artists from a virality perspective. Her songs always seem to do well on TikTok, where her sound truly thrives. Furthermore, she has upped the thirst trap content on her social media pages, which has led to lots of discussions about her on platforms like Twitter. Consequently, when she goes live on Instagram, you can be sure that a whole plethora of people are going to want to tune into that.

That was the case yesterday as Leray was on live, engaging with her fans. During the stream, boxer Adrien Broner slid into the comments and continuously attempted to shoot his shot at Leray. She then told him that he was being corny, and it was all pretty harsh. The exchange ended up going viral on social media, with fans admonishing Leray for being too mean. She was certainly within her right to be annoyed, although the internet can be a wild place, and were swift about demanding some sort of apology.

Chance The Rapper Demands Justice For Young Thug, Slams “Circus” Trial

It’s no secret that Young Thug has been put through the wringer throughout his highly-publicized YSL RICO trial. According to Chance The Rapper, however, it’s time that they wrap it up. Earlier this week, the Chicago-born MC took to social media to share a post in honor of his own birthday. He opted to dedicate it to his friend behind bars. Chance made note of the seemingly never-ending antics of the ongoing trial, and expressed wishes for Young Thug to be allowed to go home to his family.

“For my birthday I just wish my brother was home with his family,” he wrote. “This circus of a trial has had him in custody for over a year and with all the legal errors, jury misconduct and conflicts of interest by the state he deserves to at the very least fight this from home.”

Chance The Rapper Dedicates His Birthday To Young Thug

Chance’s post also includes an old clip of him and Young Thug talking at what seems to be a festival, along with text reading, “Top 2 DOA [shrug emoji].” Sadly, it doesn’t appear as though the YSL co-founder will be sent home any time soon. Last month, it was even reported that due to prosecutors’ lengthy list of witnesses, it could continue well into 2027. Fortunately, the judge decided to shorten the list and remove various potential witnesses, including Lil Wayne.

Either way, Young Thug has seemed jaded during his latest court appearances, with a clip of the Atlanta native looking visibly irritated making its rounds online earlier this week. What do you think of Chance The Rapper’s recent post in support of Young Thug? Do you agree that the rapper should be allowed to finally go home to his family?
