Kendrick Lamar is one of the greatest artists of this generation. Overall, his songwriting abilities are second to none. However, fans doubted him heading into his battle with Drake. There was this sense that because he hadn’t been battle-tested, he would lose. Instead, Kendrick had a flawless strategy that left Drake completely off guard. It allowed him to win the public opinion, and it also allowed him to win the hit-making battle. No one figured Kendrick would get the biggest hit out of this beef, although he proved everyone wrong.

According to Billboard, “Not Like Us” has officially become the number one song on the Hot 100. Overall, this is the track that propelled Kendrick to a knockout victory. The DJ Mustard-produced track is infectious from an instrumental standpoint. Meanwhile, Lamar absolutely floats on this song with incredible flows and some truly scathing lyrics. It is pretty wild to have a song like this at number one, although it is a track that everyone is playing these days.

“Euphoria” ended up snatching the number three spot on the Billboard charts which is yet another huge accomplishment. Meanwhile, “Family Matters” by Drake debuted at number seven. That is also an impressive debut, although it seems clear that in totality, Kendrick has made the better songs and is getting the most love from fans. Metro Boomin has been dealing with a lot of backlash on the internet over the last few months in particular. He has to deal with some criticism over taking Kendrick Lamar’s side during the Drake saga. Internet users were telling him to shut up and stick to beats. On top of that, he was ripped to shreds –perhaps more justifiably in this case — for some old tweets about getting with younger women. He received the Metro Groomin title, and it was a trend on the platform for several days. Now, Metro Boomin has been having to deal with Soulja Boy coming at him over a 2012 tweet. “My phone rings to come to the studio with Jeezy. Yours rings to send Soulja Boy a pack of beats. Sit down.”

It gotten under Soulja’s skin so much that he demanded that Metro delete the message off X in the next 24 hours. If not, he would deal with some sort of consequence. 21 Savage has been jumping in to defend his close collaborator during this new beef and it’s turned quite distasteful since yesterday, May 12. That date happened to be Mother’s Day, so Soulja pulled out the big guns by reminding Metro of his late mother. “F*** that n**** mama!!!!!!!!!! Don’t speak on my name b****! You sacrificed your own mom @MetroBoomin you a puppet. All the streams, sales, money, and fame not gone bring your mom back @MetroBoomin was it worth it?” Soulja asked. “I can say f*** this money and fame s*** and still be a boss can you?”

If it has not been clear enough that Soulja is not messing around with the trap duo, he doubled down on speaking about Metro’s late mom. “F*** u and his mama lil boy. Nah umma swing on u when I see you lame.” While a majority of these beefs have been entertaining, this one could get uglier and uglier by the day.

He shared a post to his nearly 150 million Instagram followers paying tribute to Sophie Brussaux.

The post comes with an adorable picture of the model alongside Adonis. Over the picture Drake shares a caption showing love to the both of them. “Hey mama. Hope you are getting plenty love from our chosen one. Happy Mother’s Day” his caption reads. The post got particular attention in the wake of the “Rich Baby Daddy” rapper’s beef with Kendrick Lamar. His fatherhood was repeatedly called into question in the beef with Kendrick’s dark meditation “Meet The Grahams.” The track even features a passage where he speaks to Adonis directly. Uncle Luke Reflects On Failure To Broker Peace Between Biggie & 2Pac: “It Was A little Too Late”

Uncle Luke recently recalled trying to help squash the infamous beef between 2Pac and Biggie during its height in the 1990s. Speaking with fans on Instagram Live recently, he said he once attended a concert with Biggie, during which the crowd trolled him by requesting 2Pac songs.

“I remember when 2Pac and Biggie had the beef going on. Now, mind you, I tried to get in the middle of it and squash it,” he said, as caught by Live Bitez. “I kinda cooled it off, but it was a little too late. Outside people got involved. Man, I remember going to St. Louis doing a show with Biggie. I went on before him and by the time he got to the stage, them people were screaming ‘2Pac.’ They was singing 2Pac songs. That is the most discouraging thing when you in a battle, when you in the heat of a battle on tour, that people would go to the stadium and don’t even wanna hear your songs.”

NLE Choppa And LeVeon Bell Have Serious Beef Over Duck Shoes

LeVeon Bell, the former NFL player who is now a rapper, and NLE Choppa seem to be developing a slight beef over some Duck Boots and jersey sales. The Memphis rapper released two new songs on Friday: “Stickin And Movin” and his joint Duck Boot sneaker with Fctry Labs, which he noted on Instagram as selling out. But given that Bell openly mocked Choppa’s supporters in a quoted Twitter response about the $250 sneakers, it doesn’t seem like everyone was as thrilled about the shoes’ arrival as Choppa’s fans were.

Bell wrote in a tweet, “& ppl boutta buy them ugly ass boots too [Face-palm emoji].” “Imma sale more boots then you sold jersey how much u wanna bet?” was Choppa’s retort to Bell after he took offense. The two rappers are now having a healthy beef over the $250 shoes. Fans on both sides seem to be having a good time watching the two personalities clash over the Duck sneakers.

Bell successfully responded to NLE Choppa’s tweet, which it seemed he took seriously, by making a TikTok video in which he formally the rapper to a sales competition and made fun of his sneakers. “All right y’all, we have a fried one,” Bell said while laughing. “NLE Choppa is fried. Have y’all seen his boots? Hold on. These are the boots. These are the boots.” Bell continued to stunt on Choppa, flexing his NFL career. He said, “NLE Choppa, I don’t think you understand, bro. I’ve been doing this for a long time.”

Bell went in, saying, “Literally from 2014 to 2017, I was in top five jersey sales at the NFL for like three to four years straight. Then I had free agency and went to a new team with the Jets, and then my Jersey sales went even crazier with a new team. And then after that I went from the Jets to the Kansas City Chiefs.” Bell seems to have taken the jersey sales comment to heart. He concluded by saying, “Bro, I was the last infinity ring for the gauntlet bro,” he said before adding, “So someone told this freaky guy, this freaky little rapper, whatever you want to put up for the bet we can do. I like me.” Overall, the NLE Choppa Leveon bell beef is hilarious and might sell both jerseys and shoes in the process.

During a recent interview he surprisingly revealed that he’s now the happiest he’s ever been in his life.

West was being interviewed by Hypebeast when he made the revelation. “This is the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. I’m with my wife, with Aus Taylor, my visual director at YZY and with Dov Charney. All year, I’ve been with loved ones, doing it independently ourselves” he explains. That makes sense given how much Kanye has found himself in trouble with labels and corporate collaborators over the years. So for him to show out in this way was incredibly impressive.

During his battle with Drake, the Canadian megastar claimed that Kendrick doesn’t donate any of his money to the people of Compton. However, that narrative is slowly being debunked on social media. In the tweet below, you can see a video of someone noting how Kendrick has frequently put money on people’s books, while also paying for funerals. Another Twitter user by the name of The Woodland Hermit came out and told a story about Kendrick buying sneakers for an entire Compton youth basketball team.

Needless to say, Drake has been bested in the same way he typically defeats other artists.

Based on some information from the likes of DJ Akademiks, it would appear as though this feud is over, at least for now. Even Drake seemingly threw up the white flag on Sunday with his latest post about summer vibes. That said, it doesn’t seem like Drake has any interest in going away and hiding. We know this because this morning, he took to his Instagram story and offered up some fit pics. As you can see down below, Drake was wearing what appeared to be a reflective Nike NOCTA jumpsuit.
