Keinemusik Previews New Drake Collab & The House Vibes Are Immaculate

Drake promised some “summer vibes” when his battle with Kendrick Lamar ended, and it looks like we’re fully in that mode in 2024’s hottest months. Moreover, German electronic music label Keinemusik (comprised of Adam Port, &ME, Rampa, and Reznik) played an unreleased collab with The Boy at The Brooklyn Mirage over the weekend. It’s a summery house jam reminiscent of Honestly, Nevermind, on which Keinemusik hasa couple of production credits (“Falling Back” and “A Keeper”). In addition, the “HOT UPTOWN” superstar had remixed their track “Confusion,” although this didn’t make it onto the final version of the 2022 EDM project.

Drake himself shared part of this snippet to his Instagram Story earlier, so there’s a lot of hope within the OVO fanbase that there’s more new music on the way. He already fulfilled his “summer vibes” promise with his new Camila Cabello collabs, and we know that he’s enjoying the season as much as anyone else. For example, Drizzy recently hit up Michael Rubin’s White Party on the Fourth of July, and had some great fun with a lot of other celebrities. The K.Dot beef was still a factor, as he dropped the “Not Like Us” video the same day, but it seems like the Toronto native was safe from the aux at this bash.

Drake & Keinemusik Might Have Another Collab On The Way

However, Drake’s appearance at this party also caused many fans to theorize that the Kendrick Lamar beef has aged him years in just days. But that’s just some confirmation bias from the Internet amid a rap battle, which has made anything related to either artist fall under a much more scrutinized context. Maybe that’s a narrative that this Keinemusik collab can combat. Just sit back, soak in the sun, and enjoy the music without thinking of much else…

Regardless of what Drake does in the rest of the year, we’re sure that his next big moves will be a huge contrast from his beef exploits, as they already have been so far. This Keinemusik preview just adds fuel to that fire, and no matter what OVO fans convert to pgLang’s side, it’s going to captivate millions if it drops. Quavo Looks To Reunite With Travis Scott By Teasing “Huncho Jack 2”

Quavo and Travis Scott are one of the elite duos in the trap rap space. Over the past decade, these two Southern hip-hop artists have delivered time and time again. You have tracks like “Oh My Dis Side”, “pick up the phone”, “Sloppy Toppy”, and “Kelly Price”, as well as countless others. The first of those collaborations really had a lot of listeners captivated by their incredible chemistry and it had people thinking what they could sound like on a full project. Well, they went for it all in December 2017, leaving off an early present under the Christmas tree with Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho.

The tape has since eclipsed one billion plus streams overall since its release almost seven years ago. Memorable cuts from it include “Dubai S***”, “Motorcycle Patches”, and “Black & Chinese”. When that milestone was reached late last year, Quavo commented under the Our Generation Music post about it, hinting at the possibility of a sequel. “That’s tuff next one loadin….. battery 🔋”, the former Migo wrote. To our knowledge, Scott has not been too vocal about this, but the Atlanta native sure is.

The Rocket Power rapper has recently been stirring the pot once again on his Instagram. The first video sees Quavo on his jet ski while listening to “Go” from their collab tape. Though Foolio’s family recently paid tribute to his life and legacy at his funeral, new rumors online seek to disturb this peace. Moreover, an unidentified man is going viral on social media right now for claiming that he was the one who fatally shot the rapper, which are unverified claims since he concealed his face with a ski mask and an orange beanie. Not only that, but the man claims that he acted on the orders of the Florida MC’s rap and real-life rival Yungeen Ace, who supposedly paid him $10K to carry out the attack. This is all highly speculative at press time, so take these remarks with a grain of salt.

“On everything I love, on the dead homies, I put it on everything, on my soul, on my kid, n***a: I’m the one that smacked Julio Foolio that night when he got dropped at his birthday celebration,” the man expressed. “I ain’t gonna show my face or give my identity away or nothing like that, but you know, I did that. There was money on his head.

Foolio’s Alleged Killer Speaks Out

“I rock with Ace and them boys, ATK,” Foolio’s alleged killer continued. “I be in Jacksonville heavy. If you know, you know. I handled that because Ace had that money on his head, Ace had them put that 10K up. Told me to slide, told me to smack Foolio because he got tired of that n***a running his mouth, playing all the time, you feel me? It is what it is, bruh. A n***a don’t give a f**k. About that money, anybody can get it. Foolio had it coming to him, so I don’t really feel sorry.

“A lot of people feel that it was on some gang s**t,” he concluded. “It ain’t even really all that. Ace put that bread up and whoever wanted to take it, took it, so I took that. Rest in peace, Foolio.” Police still haven’t identified suspects in the shooting at press time. The two artists feuded for about seven years, and so did their collectives, after the late rapper’s cousin passed away in 2017 following a shooting.

Adam22 Dismisses Backlash Over Interviewing Pop Smoke’s Alleged Killer

Adam22 recently drew the Internet’s ire for choosing to interview Pop Smoke’s alleged killer Blockstar on No Jumper, and the backlash was swift and brutal. Moreover, during their conversation, Blockstar spoke on what his thoughts are on his sentence and the deadly situation as a whole, and it was quite a controversial topic of debate online. However, Adam came through with a social media video recently addressing the issue and speaking on fans’ concerns with the move. In the clips below, he talks about why he chose to interview the now free man and why he found it important to learn more about the New York rapper’s murder.

“I didn’t do that interview because I don’t care,” Adam22 expressed. “That’s what a lot of people seem to think. ‘Adam just doesn’t give a f**k.’ That’s not the case at all. I did that interview because I thought it was an important historical record of somebody involved in one of the most tragic, insane stories in rap history. I knew Pop Smoke, I was texting him for probably a year. We spoke on camera for a couple minutes for Rolling Loud in 2019, like, a few months before he passed. I have a huge amount of respect for him. I’m not ignorant to what a gigantic impact he had on New York City. I have nothing but respect for him, and definitely didn’t want to enrage his friends or family. I actually wanted to do a piece of content that I thought they would be able to benefit from.

Adam22 Responds To Criticism Over Interviewing Pop Smoke’s Alleged Killer

“By having this conversation, people can really understand what goes through the mind of somebody who’s capable of doing something like that,” Adam22 continued. “I think if you watch the interview, it’s pretty obvious that I wasn’t glamorizing it and that I was trying to have the tough conversation with him that I thought this situation warranted. A lot of people seem to think I’m the first person who’s ever interviewed a killer, which is completely not true. […] Pop Smoke, famous rapper. Beloved. Who did Gangster Williams [whom he interviewed] kill? 40 drug dealers slash gang members that you and I don’t know. So it’s kind of hard to, like, work up that empathy. […] I remember when Vlad took a lot of heat because he interviewed Keefe D… I thought it was pretty impressive that Vlad stood on his principles and did that interview. It was an important story.

“The truth is that [these interviews] correct the record for a lot of people and let them know how these situations really went down,” Adam22 concluded. “I also think that the Blockstar interview about Pop Smoke was important for that reason, too. […] So to me, it was important to have that. I knew at that time that he was going to do the interview with somebody else if I didn’t do it.” Check out his full remarks in the video above.

Rick Ross will never look at Canada in the same way after what happened to him in the country recently: After playing Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss “Not Like Us” at a festival in Vancouver, Ross would up involved in a brawl that seemingly saw him get punched in the face (“seemingly” because Ross doesn’t seem to think he actually did get punched).

Whatever it was that happened, 50 Cent has been having fun with it.

50 was performing in Canada this past weekend and he said to the crowd, “I can’t believe what y’all did to Rick Ross!” He then went back and forth with a fan who jokingly said they were the one who struck Ross.

This is just 50’s latest instance of referencing the Ross brawl. On July 1, he said in a video shared on social media (as XXL notes), “Hey guys. I just saw a very unfortunate situation that took place in Canada, and I want to say to everyone that I hope that that brother made it home safely. I hope that he now has a different perspective and a better sense of what to do and what not to do while you’re out in the world. That part where that young guy went like — he did this little move and sh*t and got knocked the f*ck out — that does not reflect him. That reflects his camp.”

However, reports are coming out that her presidential run is in some serious trouble financially speaking. According to The Art Of Dialogue and Touring Data, they both have gathered the sales numbers so far and they are quite shocking given Red’s stature.

Out of the 85,217 tickets available for North America, only 37.11% of them have been purchased for 20/24 dates. If you multiply 85,217 by .3711, you will get around 31,624 tickets sold. Additionally, the potential average capacity per show will only be around 6,800. Because of this, there is a scenario in which Red could have to cancel her tour. While some fans are already trolling the artist online, there are others who are genuinely in shock. There are a few factors that could play into it such as people having tight budgets or just the hype not being there for this project. August 22 is the first stop for her, so she has time, but we will keep you in the loop moving forward.

Childish Gambino’s Feature List For New Album “Bando Stone” Allegedly Revealed

Childish Gambino’s new album Bando Stone & The New World is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated releases of the year, and for good reason. There have been a lot of great clips of reported project cuts, plus a hot new single, a revamped version of his 2020 album, and a new film to boot. But folks are speculating a lot about what features we can expect on the LP when it drops on July 19. Per some online reports, we have an alleged guest list to look at. But take it with a grain of salt, as we’re not entirely sure of where this information came from.

According to NFR Podcast, for example, Bando Stone will feature Yeat, Kamasi Washington, Amaarae (twice), Steve Lacy, Fousheé, Jorja Smith, Chlöe Bailey, Flo Milli, and Childish Gambino’s son. The platform also suggested that this information comes from the New York City listening party that he recently hosted, and that not every track from the album was previewed. As such, maybe we can expect even more features on the album in addition to these. However, it’s also entirely possible that the final version won’t include this exact list, so we’ll just have to tune in and see.

What’s more is that this feature list is pretty exciting regardless because it points to the versatility to come on Bando Stone. After all, Childish Gambino’s lead single to this album, “Lithonia,” is a dramatic alt-rock-leaning cut that is unlike much of what he’s done in the past. With these rumored guests in mind (Fousheé and Steve Lacy were actually at the listening event), we can only expect similar lushness and variety on the project. If not, then we’re sure that Donald Glover’s mind will be enough to bring this approach.

Meanwhile, as for the Bando Stone movie, we still don’t have many details on when that will come out or how. But fans are still excited either way, and how couldn’t they be? Childish Gambino is one of the great multi-disciplinary creative minds of our time, and one that doesn’t pop up too often. So we can’t wait to see what wild world he will explore here.

While she did not speak on the rapper’s disdain for each other, Serena Williams did gush about “Not Like Us”.

Perhaps a small sliver of that praise comes from the fact that Kendrick warns Drake about talking sideways about the world-famous athlete. Nicki Minaj fans in Romania were left disappointed this weekend.

As NME notes, Minaj was supposed to perform at Saga Festival in Bucharest yesterday (July 7), but that same day, the rapper announced she would not perform.

Minaj wrote on X (formerly Twitter):

“Out of concern for the well-being of our team and myself, I have been advised by my security detail not to travel to Romania’s festival tonight due to safety concerns regarding protests in the area. I look forward to seeing you all at another time. As a mom, I have to make sure I’m making sound decisions for me to make it home to my son and for my team to make it home to their families. To not heed the advice of security at this time is simply not what I think I should be doing. I love you and thank you for your understanding and support.

I am very excited to see my fans this Friday in London for another very special headlining show at Wireless Festival.”

This comes after Minaj was apparently the target of Megan Thee Stallion lyrics on the new album Megan, such as this one from “Figueroa”: “I’m a motherf*cking brat, not a Barbie / On go with any b*tch that wanna start it.”
