Diddy’s Lawyer Denies Wrongdoing Despite Cassie Lawsuit Settlement

Diddy’s lawyer, Ben Brafman, says that his client’s recent settlement with Cassie in her rape and abuse lawsuit is “in no way an admission of wrongdoing.” He explained the decision to settle in a statement provided to Page Six on Saturday.

Brafman wrote: “Just so we’re clear, a decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing. Mr. Combs‘ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best.”

Both Diddy and Cassie addressed the lawsuit in statements as well. Cassie confirmed that the decision was “amicable.” “I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control. I want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support,” she said. Diddy added: “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.”

Cassie filed the lawsuit against Diddy just one day before the settlement. She accused the Bad Boy mogul of several wrongdoings including rape, physical abuse, introducing her to alcohol and drugs, and more. In response to her attempts to escape the relationship, Diddy would allegedly threaten her career in the entertainment industry. “Over the years that Mr. Combs abused Ms. Ventura physically and sexually, she again and again tried to escape his tight hold over her life,” the lawsuit stated. “Every time she hid, Mr. Combs’s vast network of corporations and affiliated entities found her, and those who worked for Mr. Combs’s companies implored her to return to him. Many went as far as to explicitly state that her failure to return to Mr. Combs would hinder her success in the entertainment industry.” Be on the lookout for further updates on the case on HotNewHipHop.

How Much Money Did Diddy Settle With Cassie?

Grand opening, grand closing. Before most of the public could read through Cassie’s explosive 35-page civil lawsuit against her famous ex-partner, Diddy, the case is over. On Friday, November 17, The New York Times revealed that the lawsuit, in which Cassie accused Diddy of rape, ongoing physical abuse, and even blowing up Kid Cudi’s car, had been settled.

Due to how fast the pair reached an agreement, people wonder how much money Diddy settled for with Cassie. Unfortunately, the financial details aren’t known at this time. Due to the claims in the suit, it would be safe to assume that both parties signed a non-disclosure agreement, preventing them from sharing the total number. In the court documents, Cassie initially asked for $30 million in punitive damages as part of the lawsuit.

However, Cassie and Diddy shared a statement when their settlement was announced. “I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control,” said Cassie, according to The New York Times. “I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support.”

Diddy followed that up with his own statement, saying, “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.”

Jeezy Or JAY-Z? Memphis Bleek Weighs In On Who The Bigger Artist Is

Memphis Bleek has laughed off the recently-raised notion that Jeezy was once bigger than JAY-Z. “Bigger where? As in weight or music? Jeezy is humongous. Snowman when I first went to Atlanta, the snowman I always thought was frosty. And then they told me, ‘No, it’s Jeezy.’ And so I said, ‘He’s a big muthaf-cka, he killed that.’ If you can change the snowman from being Frosty, and when a person see snowman, they think they of you? But bigger than Hov? Hov is the — c’mon man, what Drake and them say? Big as the Super Bowl,” Bleek told TMZ.

Furthermore, Bleek took some playful shots at Hov about his extended absence from a JAY-Z project. “He know I’m nicer than him. That’s why. He know I burn him. He don’t want to put me on no record when he know I’ma smoke his boots. He like Bleek, nah. Put Bleek away. He too nice right now,” Bleek teased.

Who Claimed Jeezy Was Bigger Than JAY-Z?

It was Quality Control founder Coach K who originally claimed that Jeezy was bigger than JAY-Z. “We put that mixtape out in July. And by February, we did $6 million on the road. All cash. We hadn’t even put an album out yet. And then we did Trap or Die mixtape, I knew it was a wrap. “JAY was much bigger, but I’m saying relevant. It’s moments where some of these smaller artists is more relevant than the bigger artists,” K claimed on the Business Untitled podcast.

However, he’s not the only one coming for JAY-Z. DaBaby also took a recent shot at Hov, telling Shannon Sharpe he had a better jail verse. “Jay-Z, I ain’t got nothing but respect for you. Was your verse better than mine? Come on, OG. It wasn’t. That’s okay. We ain’t do it at the same time. It ain’t like you had the ability to be able to say, ‘Hold on, [let me do it over].’ We did it in two different times. But definitely,” DaBaby argued as Sharpe refused to get involved.

Drake & Lil Wayne Are Lyrical Masters On Our New “Fire Emoji” Playlist Update

Our Fire Emoji playlist update has a little something for everyone: tough-as-nails rap, lyrical mastery, wavy instrumentals, and everything in between. Moreover, we’ve rounded up the best of the best hip-hop releases this week that are making a big splash right now. Unsurprisingly, Drake leads the pack with his For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition project, which is essentially Scary Hours 3. For this, he went in a deep lyrical bag that many fans missed, and showed that he’s still a great writer. If you want the standouts, we’d recommend the Alchemist-produced “Wick Man” and the J. Cole-assisted “Evil Ways.”

However, that’s far from the only collection of tracks that hit hard this week on Fire Emoji. After much anticipation and solid singles, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz finally unveiled Welcome 2 Collegrove, a collaborative sequel to their 2016 album. One of its more up-tempo and hard-hitting cuts, “G6,” displays Tunechi and the artist formerly known as Tity Boi with a lot of fire on the mic. With features from the likes of 21 S*vage, Usher, Benny The Butcher, that heat is very consistent and apparent throughout the tracklist.

Regardless of these solid releases, there’s one album that dropped this week that took the crown for Fire Emoji‘s best release: Danny Brown’s new album, Quaranta. If you didn’t like him before, give this project a listen: it’s the most uniquely somber, personal, but nevertheless hopeful and charismatic thing he’s ever dropped. There’s a more solid balance than ever between the Detroit MC’s wild energy and introspection, which the track “Dark Sword Angel” perfectly exemplifies. While other MCs hit 40 and get old, he proves that it’s only a question of getting older, not worse.

Meanwhile, there were a few notable singles to shout out this week, such as Jay Rock and Bongo ByTheWay’s triumphant and horn-driven “Still That Way.” Also, Mozzy came through with a passionate and bouncy banger with “FREE JUJU.” Finally, if you’re looking for gritty and grounded Chicago drill, Lil Durk and his OTF crew released the 11-song effort, Nightmare In The Trenches, on which “I’m The Type” is a menacing and relentless highlight. Let us know what your favorite release of these was- as well as what we missed- in the comments below. Lil Uzi Vert Signs Pregnant Woman’s Belly & Names Her Child: Watch

Lil Uzi Vert loves to connect with people, and there have been plenty of examples of their wholesome interactions with their die-hards. However, a recent exchange with an expecting male-female during an autograph signing session with admirers might just beat the rest out. Moreover, as they signed something for a woman, she asked them to sign her baby bump, and the father was excitedly recording the request. It seems like the Philly MC was just as excited for the two as they were, as their face lit up. Not only that, but they also tried hard to find the perfect female baby name at their request, as they hadn’t thought of any yet.

In fact, Lil Uzi Vert was so committed to this that they asked their entourage to help out, and even some fans waiting for autographs contributed. Eventually, they came down to two choices: Pink- which would be a reference to their album from this year that they’re currently touring– or Ramona, a reference to one of their favorite movies and comic book series, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Overall, it was a very wholesome thing to witness. It’s rare for couples to get a blessing from one of their favorite artists, and especially rare for it to be such a heartening affair.

Lil Uzi Vert Blesses A Pregnant Fan With Signature On Baby Bump & Names: Watch

Ironically enough, the “Fire Alarm” MC is expecting something of their own- but this might take longer than nine months, or hopefully shorter. Moreover, they are still teasing the release of Luv Is Rage 3, and that’s not even taking into account their promise to drop Barter 16. No matter how you slice it, Lil Uzi Vert has a lot on their plate for new releases, which is common for their rollout strategy after a new project. But at least fans have the long and varied Pink Tape to hold them over until then.

Meanwhile, even their label is begging them to not retire, and fans hope that Luv Is Rage 3 or Barter 16– whichever lands first- won’t be their last. Still, we doubt that the 28-year-old will completely disappear if they retire. After all, they clearly still love to connect with fans and have a lot of fun. For more news and the latest updates on Lil Uzi Vert, come back to HNHH.

ASAP Rocky & Westside Gunn Link Up With Gorillaz, Tease New Music

ASAP Rocky recently linked up with Westside Gunn and Gorillaz in the studio, leaving fans eager to learn what they were working on. Westside Gunn took to social media earlier this week to share some new photos from the session, teasing some upcoming music in the process. “In the studio all night with the Brodie @asvpxrocky I still can’t believe he had me in there with the @gorillaz and don’t ask if we cooked something….. OFCOURSE WE DID,” he wrote alongside various emojis.

While it’s unclear exactly what they could have on the way, it’s safe to say that fans can’t wait. Listeners are looking forward to hearing what the three acts have cooked up, speculating on how the collab could sound in his comments section. This isn’t the first exciting collabs the artists have worked on as of late, however.

Westside Gunn Shares Photos With ASAP Rocky & Gorillaz

Westside Gunn just joined forces with The Alchemist, Currensy, and Boldy James for a remix of “No Yeast” this week. Each rapper came through with a new verse for the remix. Earlier this week, ASAP Rocky’s inaugural F1 collection with Puma also dropped. Some fans have been worried about the NYC native and his family amid his current legal troubles. Luckily, he was just spotted enjoying a family outing with Rihanna and RZA.

Rocky’s been in court for allegedly shooting Terell “ASAP Relli” Ephron in November of 2021. He pleaded not guilty to two charges of assault with a semiautomatic firearm last year. Relli’s since sued him and his lawyer Joe Tacopina for alleged defamation due to various statements they’ve made to the press amid their legal battle. What do you think ASAP Rocky linking up with Westside Gunn and Gorillaz in the studio recently? What do you think they could be cooking up? Kanye West Once “Saved” A Dancer From Sexual Harassment

A former backup dancer of Kanye West has claimed that the rapper once “saved” her from sexual harassment. “Of all the crazy headlines that always go up about Mr. Kanye West, I will always have a personal soft spot for him. I genuinely think he’s a good dude. I used to be a background dancer for Mr. Kanye West many, many years ago. It was when he came to Australia for the Splendour in the Grass show,” the woman began. She went on to explain that at the afterparty, she was being pressured to twerk by the other guests. However, at this point, she revealed that Kanye came to her rescue.

“Then out of nowhere, Kanye literally like bursts through them and was like, ‘Bro she said no!’ And I was like whoa! And he was like, ‘She said no, so stop asking her to do it alright?’ And they were like, ‘Okay, sorry bro!’ and they like backed up. And he came and sat next to me and he was like, ‘Look, if you don’t wanna do it, that’s fine. They’re just being dicks. You don’t to do anything – just have fun chilling!’ And I was like, oh my God! In that moment I felt really, really unsafe – like there was a bunch of guys asking me to do something that I didn’t wanna do and Kanye told him to back off!” she revealed.

Kanye And Bianca Censori “On A Break”

However, it’s not all good news for Kanye at the moment. Kanye and his wife Bianca Censori are reportedly “on a break”, according to sources who spoke with The Daily Mail. Censori allegedly returned to her native Australia without the rapper earlier this month at the behest of her family. According to the paper’s source, Censori’s family has been begging her to leave Ye for some time. This comes after previous reports that Ye had turned the architect and Yeezy staffer into a “radicalized version of Kim Kardashian“. Furthermore, her family and friends became increasingly concerned throughout the couple’s recent months-long trip to Italy. Additionally, it appears their breaking point was reports that Ye had imposed a strict set of rules for Censori to live by.

“Her family has never been a fan of Ye, and those close to her have questioned whether marrying him was the right decision. He has been a lot happier and more focused with her around, but I think the relationship has taken its toll on her a bit, with everyone having their opinion. She may go back to him for the album launch. She loves the lifestyle, but I think it’s clear her family and friends would rather she didn’t,” the paper’s source claimed.
