50 Cent Reportedly Wants Part Of The $300 Million ‘Power’ Lawsuit Thrown Out Because He Feels The Claims Are ‘Untimely’

50 Cent (real name Curtis Jackson) has been extremely invested in his longtime foe Diddy’s legal battles. On Saturday, December 2, the rapper even hinted at developing a documentary about him. But his attention might have been best served elsewhere. Although he reportedly won’t face criminal charges in his mic-throwing incident, he’s still facing another case.

In court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Jackson and his attorneys reportedly want to have one lawsuit tossed out due to its delayed filing. Back in March, Corey Holland named Jackson in two lawsuits. The first filing, worth $1 billion, accused Jackson, Courtney Kemp, and the Starz Network of using his life’s story, even down to his nickname of Ghost, as the foundation for their Power series.

In the second case, this one for $300 million, Holland alleged Jackson intentionally inflicted emotional distress upon him. According to Holland, Jackson at one point even physically assaulted him, and Starz’s parent company, Lionsgate Entertainment, didn’t make any effort to stop it. Jackson hasn’t released a public statement regarding the matter. However, in the responding legal paperwork, Jackson’s attorneys agree that the timing of Holland’s filing should be examined further.

“The alleged conduct—Jackson ‘came to plaintiff home and neighborhood’—took place over a year before this Action was commenced,” the documents read. “Around late July or early August 2021, Plaintiff can’t remember exactly your honor, but defendant Jackson decided to come to the Plaintiff’s neighborhood, not once, but twice. This claim is thus untimely. The assault claim should, therefore, be dismissed for failure to state a claim because the First Amended Complaint is devoid of any allegations to support such a claim against Jackson.”

It’s unclear if the judge presiding over the case has made a formal decision on the matter. However, the allegation of assault is just one minor part of Holland’s $300 million lawsuit against Jackson.

Cardi B Made Her Runway Debut Modeling In Balenciaga’s Fall 2024 Outdoor Fashion Show

Cardi B is often credited as one of the most fashion-forward entertainers in rap music. The “Bongos” rapper’s sartorial skills have landed her on the cover of several major fashion magazines and front row at countless designer collection previews. Now she’s taking things even further: On Saturday, December 2, Cardi made her debut as a runway model.

Fashion house Balenciaga held an outdoor show in Hollywood, California, to display their Fall 2024 collection. Cardi appeared in the show sporting the brand’s floor-length royal blue faux fur off-shoulder coat. Cardi’s look was paired with a diamond Cuban chain containing a Balenciaga initial clasp necklace and name ring.

In September 2020, Cardi was featured in the brand’s campaign. So walking in their show was a full-circle moment for her.

Fellow musicians Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Tinashe, Sexyy Red, and more attended the show.

Last year, many of Balenciaga’s celebrity brand ambassadors, including Kim Kardashian, distanced themselves from the company after their holiday advertisement campaign, which featured children in provocative situations, sparked outrage. However, like several others, Kardashian has since recounted with the high fashion company.

Travis Scott Teases “JackBoys 2,” Brings Out 21 Savage In Atlanta

Travis Scott has hinted that he is working on JackBoys 2. While signing autographs for fans, one asked Scott about the rumored projects. “It’s in the works!” Scott shouted back, leading to much excitement. Of course, Scott has already released Utopia this year but it seems that he’s already back on the production wagon. The original JackBoys album came out in 2019 and hit No. 1 on the Billboard Album 200. Fans have been clamoring for a follow-up ever since.

Elsewhere, it also appeared that 21 Savage has made a swift return to the US after his European tour. Savage appeared in Atlanta alongside Scott to perform “TOPIA Twins”, their collab from Utopia. Scott made a few stand-in appearances for Savage during the “It’s All A Blur” Tour before Savage acquired his green card. They had previously performed the song in the US earlier this year. However, the reception was equally electric this time around.

21 Savage Honored By Arsenal FC

As for Savage, as mentioned he just finished up his first-ever European tour. As part of that, the British-born rapper received a warm welcome at Arsenal FC. Arsenal presented Savage with a custom #21 Savage jersey. The #21 jersey is currently worn by Fábio Vieira, who joined the Gunners from Porto in 2022. After the game, Savage also linked up with Emil Smith Rowe, Arsenal’s 23-year-old midfielder. Also following the game, the Emirates Stadium made sure to play Savage’s bar from “Circo Loco” about the team winning the Premier League.

Savage couldn’t have picked a better game to attend. Arsenal dismantled French side Lens, scoring six goals to officially win their Champions League group. However, Arsenal have one more match in the group stage. The Gunners travel to the Netherlands to face second-place PSV in mid-December. Furthermore, Arsenal sits two points clear at the top of the Premier League. The Gunner did their part, beating Wolves 2-1. However, they were helped out by Manchester City drawing 3-3 with Spurs to widen the gap at the top of the table.

KAYTRANADA & Tyla Refresh The Vibes On Our New “R&B Season” Playlist Update

We’re starting to feel the year dying down a bit when it comes to new music releases, but definitely in terms of quantity and not quality. Moreover, we only have a couple of tracks to talk about for our R&B Season playlist update, but that’s because we wanted to bring only the very best. Leading the way in that regard is one of 2023’s breakout stars, Tyla, with her new self-titled EP. With her blends of soul, Afrobeat, and electronic production, she’s definitely someone who will continue to build a wavy, serene, and engaging catalog in the future. If you want a taste of what the Johannesburg artist brings to the table, look no further than the impossibly catchy “Truth Or Dare.”

However, it’s almost like artists knew that our R&B Season playlist was going to be a bit smaller this week. With that in mind, KAYTRANADA dropped not one, but two new collaborations to bring even more chill vibes to the winter. One is “Lover/Friend”with Rochelle Jordan, whose gorgeous vocals glide over a slower-tempo but still classic deep Kaytra bounce. The other, “Stuntin” with Channel Tres, is a funkier shuffle with enveloping synths and less prominent bass that gives the track a more dreamy feel.

HNHH R&B Season Playlist: Stream

Finally, we’d be remiss to not mention some newer faces to music fans on our R&B Season playlist update. LAVI$H just released an acoustic version of his song “Seventeen,” and it’s the perfect song to cleanse the earlier dance-centric pallet. Not only is the vocal performance passionate and versatile, but the production really lets the light guitar leads take center stage. If this would be your first time listening to this song, it’s hard not to fall in love with this rendition on impact.

Meanwhile, let us know in the comments what your favorite tracks of these is– and also what else we missed in R&B releases this week. Still, don’t forget about the bangers that came through, for which our Fire Emoji playlist has you covered. Did GloRilla Get Breast Implants?

Latto, SZA, and several other musicians have shared how beauty standards have affected their self-esteem. This pressure eventually led them to undergo different cosmetic procedures. However, others, like Cardi B, maintain that any time she’s undergone plastic surgery, it was as a special treat. Another musician is saying something similar.

During an Instagram livestream on December 1, GloRilla revealed that she, too, made a slight modification to her frame. This led fans to ask, did GloRilla get breast implants? Based on what she shared in the broadcast, it seems like yes.

“I just bought some new titties,” GloRilla said. “Y’all like my new titties? I’m on my bullsh*t, I just bought some new titties. I ain’t with that overboard sh*t. These are just a little fill-in. Just filled them in. I just got them done so my man can grip on.”

GloRilla confessed to having had breast enhancement surgery, but the nature of the procedure was not revealed. To be fair, given the advancement in plastic surgery, GloRilla could’ve gotten some sort of filler to pump up her breast rather than a saline or silicone implant.

Cassidy Hints At Knowing People Who Have Done “Way Worse” Things Than R. Kelly

Cassidy claims that he knows of people in the music industry who have “done worse things” than R. Kelly. “There’s a lot more n-ggas who ain’t in jail or on trial. And they done the same thing or way worse than R. Kelly,” the rapper claimed. “So we can’t just pick and choose who we want to be angry at. And if we want to be mad at everybody who done a crime? We may as well just turn off the music, take down the videos, shut down the streaming platforms,” he added.

There has been a rise in discussion about R. Kelly ever since Diddy and others were hit with a spate of lawsuits over the Thanksgiving week. Diddy led the way with three lawsuits. The third suit was filed on Thanksgiving, just hours before New York’s Adult Survivors Act expired. In the suit, the anonymous woman claims she went on a date with him in 1991 while attending Syracuse. However, she alleges that Diddy drugged her during dinner, before filming them while he raped her. Furthermore, she claims that she was later made aware that the video of the assault had been shown to and viewed by multiple people.

Social Media Speculates That Diddy Has Been Cursed

Meanwhile, Resurfaced photos of Diddy‘s full-back tattoo of the Haitian spirit Ezili Dantor have led to wild speculation online. Many have theorized that Diddy’s recent legal troubles are a result of angering the Vodou spirit, which represents the divinity of love but has also been likened to an “angry mother” by some anthropologists. Due to Diddy’s alleged victims being women and children, some believe that Ezili Dantor is working against the Bad Boy Records founder as a form of retribution.

Elsewhere, Columbus Short has claimed that he once received a late-night booty call from Diddy. According to the actor and choreographer, Diddy called him at “2, 2:30 in the morning”. Intially, the call was to express sadness at Short not being at the BET Awards. However, he allegedly continued to take things further, telling Short that he was staying at a nearby Hilton Hotel. However, when Short who else was over there, Diddy informed him he was alone.

Joe Budden Trashes NBA YoungBoy: Watch

Another day, another hot take about the rap world from Joe Budden, who will probably receive an avalanche of threats for this one. Moreover, during the most recent episode of his podcast, he started to go through his notes in order to find what other topics he and the team could discuss. Eventually, the rapper got to a question from himself to himself, and to paraphrase it, he basically asked himself: “Are you sure you want to do this?” Then, he decided to jump into the fire and called NBA YoungBoy “trash” and a “horrible” MC. The Slaughterhouse lyricist went on to explain his take, which included some harsh reflections on his success.

“Uh, what else do I have written down here…” Joe Budden began his comments with skeptical anticipation. “‘You ready to tell the truth about NBA YoungBoy?’ Am I ready to do this? That n***a is trash. He’s horrible. He is horrible, he is horrible, he is really, really, really, really, really bad. I don’t know him as a person, I’m only speaking about music. He is really, really, really bad. And that thing happened with him. When he was out, the label pushed a button and did some YouTube s**t. All the little kids had to just come to the f***ing gathering and tell you about NBA YoungBoy’s views and how great he is and how awesome he is and how amazing he’s doing.

Joe Budden Shows No Mercy To NBA YoungBoy: Watch

“Now that the label’s backed up a bit, and now that we done had about three or four projects while he’s been in Utah on house arrest– I know [he had way more than that],” Joe Budden concluded. “We’ve had way more than that,” Ice added on the podcast. “That, to me, is where the problem lies. Because earlier YoungBoy music don’t sound like this to me. Like, he just dropped a single today. I listened to it last night, and I cut it off midway through. I’m just like, I can’t. [The difference between his music then and now is that] I could hear it. Like, literally.”

Meanwhile, what do you think? Is YB overrated or is this group of podcasters just hating on a new generation star? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments section down below. Also, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Joe Budden and NBA YoungBoy.

Fat Joe Addresses Parlae’s Response To “Lean Back” Biting Accusations

Earlier this month, Fat Joe called out Dem Franchise Boyz, accusing them of taking inspiration from “Lean Back” for their track “Lean wit It, Rock wit It.” Parlae later responded to his comments, denying ever “biting” his music. According to him, they don’t look to New York artists for ideas in the South, instead coming up with their own.

“I just seen a clip of Fat Joe’s interview talking about n***as biting his music and taking his style and he’s gonna sue n***as,” he began. “I’m from the South, n***a — we don’t bite New York n***as. We didn’t hear ‘Lean Back’ and say we gonna make a song like that. N***a, we said ‘lean’ not ‘lean back…’ How the f*ck we bit your lyrics, n***a? If you feel like that, get your muthaf*cking sue on, n***a! I ain’t bite no muthaf*cking Fat Joe.”

Fat Joe Says Dem Franchise Boyz Were “Subliminally” Inspired

Now, the NYC native has issued his own response to the debacle, insisting that he was never planning to sue. According to him, when Dem Franchise Boyz were finding success with their song, he was cheering them on. He went on to claim, however, that “Lean Back” was No. 1 in the world at one point. According to him, this means that there’s no way Dem Franchise Boyz weren’t familiar with it. He says that it’s possible they were “subliminally” inspired by the song, not even realizing they took notes from him.

The artist also mentioned how they name-drop him in the song, insinuating they had him on the brain while writing. Fat Joe insists this isn’t a matter of the East Coast vs. the South, adding that he loves the South as well as Parlae despite the back-and-forth. What do you think of Fat Joe’s response to Parlae firing back? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

On December 1, GloRilla revealed that she underwent breast enhancement surgery as a special treat to herself and her boo. “I just bought some new titties,” the “Lick Or Sum” rapper said during a broadcast. “Y’all like my new titties? I’m on my bullsh*t, I just bought some new titties. I ain’t with that overboard sh*t. These are just a little fill-in. Just filled them in.”

She added, “I just got them done so my man can grip on.”

In a screengrab captured by The Shade Room, GloRilla slammed negative comments about her slender physique. “This is my last time addressing this,” wrote GloRilla via her Instagram stories. “You motherf*ckers better get use to this slim body, green pretty ass eyes, and big beautiful nose of mine cause ain’t a damn thing gone change. Y’all can hate y’all self all you want, but I love me some Big Glo.”

GloRilla isn’t the only woman musician to speak candidly about undergoing cosmetic procedures. Nicki Minaj, Latto, Cardi B, and SZA are just a few others who have revealed the work they’ve had done.

Drake & Adonis’ New Air Force 1 Ad Sees Father & Son Sharing The Love

Drake and his son Adonis have shared in the latest ad for the “Love You Forever” Nike Air Force 1s. The print ad sees Drake and Adonis chilling as a hairdresser braids the latter’s hair. The shoes are almost identical to the standard white Air Force 1s. However “Love You Forever” is inscribed on the side of the heel. Furthermore, the star-shaped traction points on the sole have been reshaped into hearts. The current retail price is $160.

“Family Ties. The Boy for NOCTA Love You Forever AF1 Available on NOCTA.com and SNKRS,” the ad is captioned on Instagram. It’s Drake’s most recent collab with NOCTA, following his NBA-themed drop last month. That campaign included some hilarious print ads, including Kevin Durant hoovering up money. Drake’s NOCTA drop included everything from $18 to a $175 jacket.

Jim Jones Says Drake Had The Best Of The Album

Meanwhile, Jim Jones has declared For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition his best album of the year. Jones gave his answer at last month’s ComplexCon. “That extendo clip that Drake just dropped got real spooky on n-ggas,” Jones explained. However, he also gave props to Too Good To Be True and Utopia. The six-song deluxe EP recently helped push the Drake product back to the top of the Billboard album charts. Despite the success of the album, last week only marked its second week at No. 1. It displaced Stray Kids’ ROCK-STAR, which tumbled to No. 7.

Furthermore, For All The Dogs has also reached platinum certification in recent weeks. However, the RIAA has yet to confirm this. For All The Dogs was able to hold off another resurgence from 1989 (Taylor’s Version), which spent another week at No. 2. Ironically, the first track of Drake’s EP shouts out Taylor Swift. “Taylor Swift the only n-gga that I ever rated. Only one could make me drop the album just a little later. Rest of y’all, I treat you like you never made it,” Drake raps on “Red Button”.
