But some people still hold Brown in high regard, and one of them works at Walmart.
On Monday, December 18, NLE Choppa posted an 11-minute video to his personal YouTube channel entitled “NLE Choppa Goes Christmas Caroling! (In Public).”
In the video, the Memphis rapper and his friends — dressed in red and green robes, accessorized with reindeer ears — visit a packed Apple store and bailed on traditional Christmas songs in favor of Choppa’s very explicit “Shotta Flow 7.” Unsurprisingly, they were promptly kicked out by Apple employees.
Choppa and Co.’s final stop was the local Walmart, where one employee looked on agape. “Chris Brown is here?!” she asks. She looks around for her co-worker, who must also be a big Chris Brown fan, and yells at Choppa, “I love you, Chris Brown!” Choppa plays along, thanking her and briefly singing “Wall To Wall,” one of Brown’s formative hits.
It’s partially adorable and partially sad to think about how that Walmart employee probably gleefully blew up her group text with the false news that she’d just met Chris Brown. People on TikTok are delighting in her innocent confusion. ‘Tis the season to believe!

Last Christmas, Playboi Carti ended his social media hiatus to vaguely write two things on X (formerly Twitter): “Hello Twitter” and “love all my supporters it’s time.” Understandably, fans took this as the beginning of a musical rollout, but Carti made them wait another year. Last week, he dropped his single “2024,” and on Tuesday, December 19, he surprise-dropped another song, “H00DByAir,” alongside a video in the form of an Instagram Reel posted by Opium.
Carti remained active on Instagram over the last 24 hours, re-sharing praise for “H00DByAir” to his Instagram Story, including this post by Schoolboy Q and screenshots of texts from, um, unlikely sources.
“Yooo on the flight bumping this sh*t!!!” someone saved under the contact name “Sex” texted Carti. “Congrats dear, f*ck yeah it’s so so good!!!” That was followed by a screenshot from God — or, a contact saved as “God” — texting, “Biggest in the world. You’re the best of all time. The greatest.”
Perhaps the main focus should be what all of this activity says about when Carti will finally drop his first album since 2020’s Whole Lotta Red— widely believed to be titled I Am Music based upon Carti’s Instagram profile picture as well as his usage of the #IAmMusic hashtag — but I am way more interested in finding out who “God” and “Sex” are.
It should also be noted that Carti posted “YVES” in the same lettering as his “I AM MUSIC” profile picture. Complexchalked up that as Carti clarifying the spelling of his newborn daughter’s name, which was initially assumed to be “Eve.” When “H00DByAir” dropped on Tuesday night, December 19, many people noticed that Carti announced his newest child toward the end of the song with the lyrics, “I was 24 when I had lil’ Onyx / Then I had a daughter, I had a daughter too / 27 when I had Yves / Now I can finally sleep.”
In November 2022, Big Sean and Jhené Aikowelcomed their son, Noah. Simple math: Big Sean has had 13 months to embrace fatherhood, and the Detroit rapper was quick to deploy a dad joke — even if it was a slightly inappropriate one — when approached by TMZon Tuesday, December 19.
In the 98-second video, The off-camera correspondent brought it to Sean Don’s attention that the Oxford Word Of The Year is “rizz.” Before she could ask him a question about it, Big Sean interjected, “Rizz as in ‘j*zz’?”
“No,” the TMZ correspondent responded, disappointment soaking her voice. Big Sean claimed, “I was just playin’,” but he asked what the word means. According to The Associated Press, rizz is “a term used by Generation Z to describe someone’s ability to attract or seduce another person,” and it is short for charisma, as explained by Jimmy Fallon.
Anyway, back to Big Sean, who teased he will drop an album at some point in the near-ish future — “it’s been a while” — but wouldn’t commit to whether he used “Gen-Z words” in songs on the very vaguely confirmed album. “I guess you’re gonna have to wait and find out if I used rizz on the album,” he said, and the tone of his voice suggests he was just saying anything to get to the end of this interaction — playful yet exasperated.
“Rizz, well, it’s kind of like RZA, right?” he said.
It’s no surprise that Beyonce and Jay-Z like to go big for the holidays, and it appears as though this year is no exception. Today, the pair were spotted having rented out an entire tour bus to explore New York City. They were of course joined by their daughter Blue Ivy, as well as other family members. The group hit all of the city’s most popular tourist destinations, sightseeing just in time for Christmas.
The family visited Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park, and more. They rode in a Tea Around Town bus, which also provides guests with tea and other treats while they make their way around the city. Jay-Z is from NYC, but that surely doesn’t make it any less fun to see the city decked out with holiday decorations.
Beyonce, Jay-Z, And Family Hit Major Tourist Spots In NYC
On top of celebrating Christmas with family, Beyonce also has some exciting things happening with her Renaissance concert film. She announced yesterday that the film will be hitting various new theaters in Brazil, Italy, Japan, South Korea, and more. Many fans in those areas were glad to hear that they’d be able to catch the record-breaking film near them sometime soon, however, others were disappointed. When followers heard the list of countries Beyonce named in the Instagram announcement, some of them thought that she’d be making actual tour stops there. Understandably, they were a bit let down to learn that the announcement only pertained to the concert film.
Regardless, Queen Bey has had a major year so far, and deserves to make the most of her holiday season. Putting yourself out there is hard for everyone and that can include celebrities. Consequently some take a pretty minimal approach to their social media presence deliberately to avoid some of the toxicity that can fester on those platforms. But others are more willing to embrace it, though that doesn’t mean it won’t backfire. Subsequently, that recently happened to Wiz Khalifa after he shared a series of bathroom mirror selfies. In the picture, he’s sporting a mostly black fit headlined by a black puffy jacket and pointy black shoes.
It was probably primarily the shoes that led to the fit getting attacked on all fronts by fans in the comments. “Wiz u my n*gga but these 3 musketeer…medieval…2geese for a pint of goat milk a*s shoes bruh,” one of the top comments reads. “This man done turned into Rumplestiltskin,” and “Boy you look like you crawled out the ground” other comments agreed. While there were some who came to the rapper’s defense they were few and far between among a series of hilarious roasts. Check out the full photo dump below.
Wiz Khalifa has had an extremely prolific 2023 dropping multiple mixtapes throughout the year. His newest project is a mixtape called Decisions which dropped at the start of December. It’s his 3rd mixtape of the year and it features 13 tracks. The songs on the album are handled entirely by Wiz himself with no features. It directly follows Khali Sober another mixtape that preceded it by less than two months, dropping back in October. That mixtape was also handled entirely by Wiz on his own with no support from features.
Wiz also appeared on a soundtrack cut for the film Good Burger 2 back in November. He teamed up with Lex Luger and Chad Hugo for the song which is called “No Fair.” The single and the mixtapes he’s shared this year are part of an extremely prolific period for the rapper that dates back years now. What do you think of Wiz Khalifa’s outfit in the new pictures he shared? Would you wear the shoes that fans were roasting in his comments? Let us know in the comment section below.

Ice Cube has officially joined the pantheon of rappers with a track that’s been streamed more than 1 billion times on Spotify. The previously ultra-rare achievement is becoming more and more common the longer the service is around. Some major artists like Drake and Ed Sheeran have racked up numerous such tracks. Now other artists are joining the fray with hits both new and old hitting 1 billion every day.
The most recent addition to the bunch is Ice Cube. The veteran rapper just netted his first-ever song to reach the 1 billion mark and it’s probably the track you’d expect. His biggest Hot 100 hit ever and one of the biggest songs of his career “It Was A Good Day” also became his first to surpass 1 billion streams. The achievement is especially impressive given how old the song is. The vast majority of billion-stream songs were released in recent years while Spotify was already an active platform. But a number of major hits from the 80s and 90s have reached the milestone in recent years.
Last month, Ice Cube had an NBA award named after him. The basketball league officially announced an Impact Award named after the rapper. The award is meant to honor the rapper’s “extraordinary contributions to the world of basketball, his unparalleled passion for the game, and his unwavering commitment to encouraging crucial dialogues surrounding inclusivity, equal opportunity, and racial and social justice while contributing to initiatives focused on education and community development.”
Some, including Ice Cube himself, see the gesture as an attempt to appease him. Cube is affiliated with the BIG3 basketball league. He’s suggested on numerous occasions that the NBA is trying to kill the league in an effort to squeeze out competition. What do you think about “It Was A Good Day” being Ice Cube’s first song to hit 1 billion streams on Spotify? Do you think he has any other, more deserving tracks? NLE Choppa recently unveiled a YouTube video of him and some friends going “ghetto Christmas caroling” in public. The video shows them dressed in robes, performing rap songs in Sephora, an Apple store, and more. They even stopped by Walmart for an impromptu performance of Drake, Sexyy Red, and SZA’s hit, “Rich Baby Daddy.”
Various confused shoppers looked on as they performed, one of them being an employee. She appeared to be feeling the unexpected show, however, she wasn’t exactly sure who she was watching. “Chris!” she shouted, “I love you Chris Brown!” NLE Choppa played along, thanking her before rolling into the R&B icon’s track “Wall to Wall.”
While some social media users are laughing at the woman for the confusion, others are coming to her defense, claiming that the two of them actually look pretty similar. “Close enough,” one Instagram commenter jokes. “The disrespect,” another adds alongside a series of laughing emojis. Luckily, the 21-year-old was able to deal with the mix-up in stride and didn’t appear to be too offended. After all, he is a big Breezy fan, so he might have even taken it as a compliment.
He showed his appreciation for the “Under The Influence” performer last month on Instagram, providing fans with a cover of the 2019 Indigo track on Instagram. While some viewers found it funny, others thought he could have a serious future in singing, though he appears to have only been trying to flex the diamonds on his teeth in the video. What do you think of a Walmart employee mistaking NLE Choppa for Chris Brown? What about his reaction to the mix-up? Do you think the two of them look alike? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
Drake is facing backlash on social media for his decision to feature Morgan Wallen in the music video for his song, “You Broke My Heart,” off of his For All the Dogs: Scary Hours Edition album. Wallen has been a controversial figure since being caught using a racial slur in 2021. In a video published by TMZ from the time, he hurled the n-word, amongst other obscenities, during a drunken return home after a night out in Nashville.
To open the six-minute video, Drake and Wallen discuss a recent breakup over dinner. “I didn’t like her. I think she might have been the wrong girl anyway,” Wallen says. Drake concludes: “God bless her. Let’s see what else is out there; that’s what we need to do.
“That Drake and Morgan Wallen video is… cringe. Morgan has proven he’s a racist… and then they have white women lip syncing the n word?? wtf is going on here,” one user on Twitter wrote, Wednesday. Another posted: “Morgan Wallen the racist? Drake surely couldn’t be stooping this low for attention.”
Fans Call Out Drake On Twitter
That Drake and Morgan Wallen video is… cringe. Morgan has proven he’s a racist… and then they have white women lip syncing the n word?? wtf is going on here.
Wallen addressed his use of the slur during an interview with Billboard, earlier this month. “I’ve never made an excuse,” he told the outlet. “I never will make an excuse. I’ve talked to a lot of people, heard stories [about] things that I would have never thought about because I wasn’t the one going through it. And I think, for me, in my heart I was never that guy that people were portraying me to be, so there was a little bit of like, ‘Damn, I’m kind of actually mad about this a little bit because I know I shouldn’t have said this, but I’m really not that guy.’ I put myself in just such a sh*t spot, you know? Like, ‘You really messed up here, guy.’ If I was that guy, then I wouldn’t have cared. I wouldn’t have apologized. I wouldn’t have done any of that if I really was that guy that people were saying about me” Be on the lookout for further updates on Drake on HotNewHipHop.
