DJ Akademiks Collapses After Seeing Lil Durk’s Mugshot

Lil Durk’s recent arrest in Florida has unsurprisingly earned big reactions from countless social media users. The Chicago rapper was hit with an alleged murder-for-hire charge, and could reportedly face life imprisonment or the death penalty if found guilty. Allegedly, he was snitched on by an OTF member who wore a wire to provide information to federal agents.

As the news hit the internet, DJ Akademiks was live on stream. Upon seeing Durk’s mugshot, he was overcome with emotion, shouting and momentarily leaving the room before collapsing on the floor. Obviously, the arrest hit him hard, and many social media users can empathize with him. At the time of writing, Lil Durk is being held without bond and has an appearance in federal court in Fort Lauderdale later today.

DJ Akademiks Has A Breakdown Over Lil Durk’s Arrest

Durk’s arrest took place only a few hours after five alleged OTF members were arrested. They were charged with alleged murder-for-hire and murder-for-hire conspiracy. The charges are in connection to the death of Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, Quando Rondo’s cousin. Lul Pab and Quando Rondo’s vehicle was shot up at a gas station in 2022. Quando Rondo survived while Lul Pab succumbed to his wounds. Authorities believe Quando Rondo was the alleged target, and that the shooting was in retaliation for King Von’s 2020 death. Shortly after Von’s death, Timothy “Lul Tim” Leeks was arrested and charged, though his charges were later dropped in 2023.

Allegedly, the five OTF members were hired to kill Quando Rondo, and “lucrative music opportunities” were offered to whoever would. Charleston White Reportedly Arrested For Alleged Animal Cruelty & Assault With A Deadly Weapon

Charleston White is certainly no stranger to making headlines for his wild online antics. Today, however, he’s going viral for a far more serious reason. Reportedly, the internet personality was recently arrested. According to a post by Akademiks TV, he’s accused of cruelty to a non-livestock animal and assault with a deadly weapon. The post also includes what appears to be White’s mugshot, in which he looks relatively unbothered. The circumstances leading up to his arrest remain unclear at the time of writing.

This isn’t White’s first run-in with the law. He was also arrested back in December of 2023, though he posted bond just hours later. At the time, he was also charged with alleged animal cruelty as well as two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Allegedly, he had sprayed a cat with pepper spray in 2022 and threatened two men with a gun.

Charleston White Runs Into More Legal Issues

As for what else White has been up to outside of his legal issues, he’s recently been involved in a public feud with YSL Woody. Last month, Woody called White out for trash-talking him in interviews, claiming that it made him lose respect for him. White later hopped online with a scathing rant about Woody, in which he accused him of snitching on Young Thug. “I’m praying for you cuz you really need it,” he also added. “And you’re playing with the wrong one.”

Earlier this month, Woody also accused White of putting an Apple AirTag in the backseat of his car to track his whereabouts. He expressed confusion about how the device got there, insisting that he doesn’t typically let anyone in his vehicle. Blueface Makes Institutional Transition Following Sentencing Decision

Authorities have reportedly transferred Blueface to North Kern State Prison in Delano, California, where he will serve out his four-year sentence for violating the terms of his probation. He had been behind bars at Los Angeles Men’s Central Jail since his initial January arrest. The probation stemmed from a 2021 case for assault.

Despite the lengthy sentence, Blueface expects to spend significantly less time in the California prison. Speaking with Gina View and DJ Hed for a recent interview on their radio show, Effective Immediately, he explained: “I got a year credit, so that goes down to three years. And I gotta do 33 percent of that.” He noted that he thinks March or April of next year is a realistic timeframe for his release. As for how he’s doing, he added: “I’m chilling, man. I’m in my environment…It’s like a little break from responsibility…I cut all my hair off I’m about to get the weight cracking. I’m like 180 right now; I’ve never been 180 before. I’m getting sized up, I’m about to bounce out looking like a dalmatian.”

In addition to Blueface, the mother of his youngest child, Chrisean Rock, was also arrested for a probation violation. Despite being able to get out of jail while awaiting her next court date on September 27th, Rock ended up missing her son’s first birthday. “Missing a significant event like a first birthday can bring feelings of sadness or regret, but it’s also an opportunity to reflect on the continuous love and care you provide every day,” she wrote on Instagram. “The forgiving ourselves. Moving forward, cherish the moments you have, and remember that God’s grace is sufficient for every need.”

Blueface’s New Mugshot Surfaces Online As He’s Transferred To Different Prison

Earlier this year, Blueface turned himself in for an alleged probation violation. He’s been behind bars ever since and was sentenced to four years last month. While he expects to come home far sooner than that, for now, he’s preparing to serve his time. Recently, for example, he was transferred from the Men’s Central Jail in downtown LA to North Kern State Prison in central California.

According to TMZ, he entered the general population at the medium-security facility yesterday (September 5). The outlet obtained his new mugshot, which is now making its rounds online. He looks pretty serious in the photo, as one would expect, which could indicate that prison has taken a toll on him.

At the end of August, however, the rapper gave DJ Hed and Gina Views a rundown of his daily routine on Effective Immediately. He appeared to be doing considerably well at the time, and looking at his sentence like a pause from reality. “I be jacking off, watching TV, eating Doritos and using the phone. That’s pretty much it […] They only got like 12 channels. I’ve been watchin a lot of the news, the Sherri show and The Jennifer Hudson Show,” he said. “I’m chilling, man. I’m in my environment. It’s like a little break from responsibility. I’m like 180 [pounds] right now; I’ve never been 180 before. I’m getting sized up, I’m about to bounce out looking like a dalmation.”

While fans are glad that he’s making the most of his stay, they can’t help but feel for Blueface’s family. His youngest son Chrisean Jr. just turned one but spent his birthday without either of his parents. James Harden shared Lil Baby’s mugshot from his recent arrest in Las Vegas on his X (formerly Twitter) page on Thursday night. In the caption, he added, “CBFW,” seemingly standing for “can’t be f*cked with.” In the picture, Baby rocks a black tank top while having red eyes.

Fans shared plenty of jokes about their friendship in the replies. One user wrote: “Lmao if you ain’t go to Vegas and get a mugshot then you ain’t do it right! [laughing and shrug emojis]. Baby was arrested in Las Vegas on Monday for allegedly carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. Shortly afterward, his legal team released a statement explaining he does have a permit in Georgia and that they’d be looking into the matter. “Dominique Jones has a valid Georgia Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit,” Baby’s attorney, Drew Findling, told Billboard in a statement. “On his behalf we are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding his arrest in Las Vegas.”

Baby has faced legal trouble in previous years as well. In 2014, he found himself behind bars after police arrested him for possession of marijuana with intent to sell. Speaking with Rolling Stone in 2017, he explained how he got into selling drugs. “Needed the money, more than anything,” he said at the time. “I knew all the drug dealers around my neighborhood. When I was like 10, 11, I was hanging out with a dude who was like 17. He was getting money to buy a car, having his own little spot. BossMan Dlow has had to deal with a lot of Internet narratives these days, but this most recent one is fortunately more light despite its connection to a more serious situation. Moreover, a lot of fans are responding comically to a mugshot of his that went viral over the weekend, seemingly connected to a 2019 arrest and sentence. “Looking like a school cafeteria lady,” “‘I wasn’t broke I was f***ed up,’” and “My mans look like he cries easily” were among the most popular comments of the post below. At least the rapper can look back at this in retrospect, and at least it has nothing to do with DJ Vlad.

For those unaware, the VladTV host recently accused BossMan Dlow’s alleged manager Chris Silvers of finessing him for an interview, but the “2 Slippery” MC says that he has no idea who Silvers is. “My Manager @tymeoutt… It In All My Bio’s Never Heard of a mf Chris Silvers in my Life [crying-laughing and crying emojis],” the BossMan responded to Vlad. “Yup – we were contacted from the same phone number that you listed on your official IG bio. Here is the proof. Like I said be a batter Bossman and get a real manager on your team,” the media personality clapped back.

Meanwhile, BossMan Dlow might actually feel a type of way about these responses to his mugshot. After all, he recently went through some more legal trouble after authorities seemed to arrest him in Florida. Chrisean Rock’s difficult legal situation these days is causing a whole lot of social media debating and discussing, which can range from seriously critical to mockingly comical. Moreover, Soulja Boy definitely seems to relate more to the latter of these options, as he reacted to her new mugshot with a series of crying-laughing emojis on Twitter. While it’s a very simple response and one that doesn’t really add anything relevant to the conversation, it is sadly emblematic of how some people are looking at this whole thing. They just chuckle, think about all of the Baltimore native’s past antics, and move on without missing a beat.

For those unaware, Chrisean Rock is reportedly facing up to eight years in prison on drug charges, but there are little details as to whether the court already convicted her. Also, there are other alleged assault incidents to take into account which some reports indicate could connect to her arrest in a courtroom. As for Chrisean Rock’s on-and-off again boo, Blueface received a four-year prison sentence for probation violations. “I want to get on here and thank everybody for all the love and all the support today,” his mother Karlissa Saffold shared on Instagram after the verdict. “All the prayers, I’ve seen all the prayers and I thank y’all so much. I don’t want y’all to think that god didn’t show up today because he did, and if you was in the courtroom, you heard Johnathan take accountability, you heard Johnathan sound like Johnathan.

“He’s in his right frame of mind,” Saffold went on. “We didn’t get the verdict we wanted today. But we got some closure. We got new beginnings, and we’re all hopeful for this to go by smooth and quickly.” With all these situations in mind, and considering Soulja Boy’s previous beef with Blueface and Chrisean Rock, this type of reaction to their arrests is unfortunately common.

Earlier today, Travis Scott was arrested and booked for trespassing and disorderly intoxication. He was brought to the Miami-Dade County Jail and released just hours later. At the time of writing, the circumstances leading up to the arrest remain murky, but he’s believed to have gotten into an alleged argument on a yacht. Reportedly, police arrived on the scene and got him to leave, but after a short time, he circled back. This is when he was handcuffed and taken to jail. Regardless, he appears to be in good spirits. Just after his release, he broke his silence with a simple Tweet. “Lol,” he wrote, leaving his followers with several questions.

He didn’t waste any time capitalizing on the unexpected incident either. Recently, he unveiled new merch featuring his unbothered mugshot. In it, he’s seen wearing a big smile as if nothing ever happened. The merch in question is a simple brown t-shirt, and sports the phrase “It’s Miami.” Magic City might be getting a shoutout on the artist’s new merch, but he didn’t stick around for long after his arrest.

Today, he was spotted getting on his private jet in an exclusive zone at the airport. TMZ captured photos of him boarding, and again, he looked relatively unfazed by all of the yacht drama that’s just unfolded. Reportedly, they took off at about 2 p.m. ET, despite planning to head out much earlier this morning.

This isn’t the first time Travis has found himself at odds with the law, as he’s been arrested before and faced a lawsuit for the Astroworld crowd crush of 2021.
