Snoop Dogg recently suffered a tragic and shocking loss with the passing of his brother, Bing Worthington. He continued to mourn this event on Saturday (February 17), with many videos, pictures, and old memories to look back on, cherish, and celebrate his life through. Thousands of social media users, whether they are just regular folks like us or fellow celebrities, poured out their sympathies, condolences, and well-wishes online. This is a very difficult time for Worthington’s family, and to see this level of support and care is at least heartening, despite there being nothing that could possibly fill this void.

While Bing Worthington’s loss is a sad affair, at least the Broadus family did not face another tragedy just weeks before this. You may have heard that Snoop Dogg’s daughter Cori Broadus recently suffered a stroke, which scared many folks online and had her loved ones holding their breath. Fortunately, it seems like things are much better now health-wise, and she was able to return home and steadily wrap up her recovery. We wish Cori and the rest of the Broadus’ circle the best health moving forward, and our deepest condolences during this difficult time.

Lil Durk may be an incredibly successful and praised MC, but that status came after years of hardship, struggle, and grief. Moreover, he recently sat down to reflect on that process in an interview with DJ Akademiks on his Off The Record podcast. Of course, that conversation broached a lot of topics, including Gunna’s plea deal, Kanye West producing his next album Almost Healed before he scrapped the idea, and much more. However, this part of their talk ended up resonating with many who either struggle with grief themselves or understand the dark subject matter he conveys in his music. Regardless, the Chicago rapper detailed his mourning process and how he doesn’t want to burden others with it.

Post Malone Is ‘Mourning’ A Past Version Of Himself On His New Single

Post Malone is gearing up for the release of his fifth studio album, Austin, and with the pair of songs he’s released thus far, it sounds like it’ll be his most personal to date. On the first single, “Chemical,” he addresses his mental health and his addictions, displaying a desire to change, no matter how hard it seems.

Now, on “Mourning,” he painfully describes the process of getting sober, and dealing with the fact that he is forced to face the emotions he had been numbing for years.

“Don’t want to sober up / The sun is killin’ my buzz, that’s why they call it ‘mourning’ / Thought I was strong enough / Threw my bottle at the sky, said, ‘God, that’s a warning’ / Don’t wanna sober up / Try to keep it inside but I just wanna pour it / Thought I was strong enough Got a lot of sh*t to say, couldn’t fit it in the chorus,” he sings on the song’s chorus.

While he has more music on the way this summer, Post has been giving a hand at other endeavors, like an all-pink Raising Cane’s restaurant in Utah. He also recently helped a fan put a down payment on a home in Scotland.

Post Malone Is In “Mourning” On New Single

Earlier this week, Post Malone took to his Instagram to speak with fans, sharing a candid video. In it, he revealed that his upcoming album, titled Austin, is slated for release on July 28. Additionally, the artist informed his fans that his next single, “Mourning,” would be released this week. In the message, the 27-year-old singer and rapper hinted at embarking on a different artistic direction for his forthcoming project. Considering that Post’s previous albums, like Twelve Carat Toothache, have already explored other directions to some extent, it will be intriguing to witness the extent to which he pushes his boundaries.

Upon making the announcement of the new album, Post shared some thoughts on the music and his feelings toward his fans. “Hey guys, what’s going on? It’s Posty. I wanted to say that I love you guys so very f*ckin’ much. I’m here on tour in Europe right now,” Post said. “And I wanted to tell you guys that I have an album coming out this summer on July 28th. It’s called Austin, like my name. That is my name. Post Gets Introspective

Post Malone is getting extremely self-reflective on his new track. The production on the song is both dreamy and heavy. There are lots of spacy guitar arpeggios happening while a very distorted 808 blasts on the chorus. “I call my quote-unquote friends, do you got plans / turns out everyone’s free when the dinner is,” Post sings on the track. “Then they drag me to a party out in Malibu / after thirty High Noons, it was pretty cool.”

The track serves as a sad and sobering (ha ha) reminder that fame and fortune is not all its cracked up to be. Post’s verses about fairweather friends just go to show how having the wrong people around you can make your life miserable. Post Malone Is Bringing His Upcoming Album ‘Austin’ Across North America With A Tour Set For This Summer

A new Post Malone era is here. After releasing “Chemical” in April, he revealed yesterday that he has a new album, Austin, coming this summer, as well as a single, “Mourning,” dropping this week. Now, he’s announced he’s bringing all this newness around North America with a tour this summer.

The trek, dubbed the If Y’all Weren’t Here I’d Be Crying tour, runs from early July to mid-August and includes stops in various major cities across the US and Canada.

Malone announced the tour on social media, writing, “i love y’all so very much, and I’m so excited to get out and do some more shows for y’all. help me put a baby through college, and come on out some cool new production, new songs, and a very very handsome man up on stage. sending love to you and yours.”

Post Malone has seemingly been gearing up for a new album, given that he released the single “Chemical” in April. Now, he’s made an announcement: His next album is called Austin and it’s set to drop on July 28.

Malone shared the news in an informal Instagram video shared yesterday (May 15), also noting that a new song called “Mourning” is coming out this week. Of the album, he said, “It’s been some of the funnest music, some of the most challenging and rewarding music, for me at least. You know, trying to really push myself and really do some cool stuff. I played guitar on every song on the record and it was a really, really fun experience, and I’m super, super excited to share it with you.”

Quando Rondo Suffers Heartbreaking Loss

Rapper Quando Rondo is mourning the loss of yet another close friend, adding to the tragedy he suffered a while back with his late friend Lul Pab. It was after Lul Pab’s passing that Quando Rondo made the decision to quit his affiliation with gang activity. The rapper took to social media to express his grief and pay tribute to his friend. Both Quando and Lul were caught in a shootout that led to the latter’s death, while Quando witnessed the whole incident. Understandably, he took that incident as a sign to back off from his dangerous habits.

Due to the last year, Quando is making a lot of changes in his life. He dropped new music, proposed to his girlfriend, and cut a lot of ties. He remains fiercely loyal to Lul Pab, and actively calls out those he feels are being disloyal to his friend. Among all of this, however, it has now come out that Quando Rondo is in mourning again. While the identity of his friend still remains a mystery, Quando’s heartbreak is apparent. The rapper has taken to social media and music to express his anguish over his lost friends.

Fans and fellow artists have come forward to offer their condolences to Quando Rondo. Additionally, many are sharing messages of love and support on social media. The rapper’s followers have also praised him for being open and honest about his emotions. Apart from his recent loss, Quando is no stranger to losing his friends. Until the passing of Lul Pab, Quando had been caught up in multiple gang-related activities.

However, not every person feels compelled to support the rapper in his difficult time. Former fans of King Von are quick to point out his connections with those responsible for King’s death. Hip-hop figures from all over shared their heartfelt messages dedicated to De La Soul’s Trugoy the Dove, who passed away this weekend. While his cause of death is unknown as of writing this article, hip-hop aimed to celebrate his life instead. Moreover, many rappers, producers, and members of the rap world took to social media and other means to mourn the late rapper. Also, his death struck the community as excitement geared for the group’s upcoming streaming releases. As they reckon with the loss of a monumental figure in pioneering hip-hop, they dedicated heartfelt messages of love.

“All too often we have to wait for tragedy to strike before we express how much someone means to us,” Questlove wrote on Instagram. “I just wanna thank them for the decades of zaniness, the fun memories of my teen years, the blueprint laid out that eventually brought Tariq [Black Thought] & i together.” Also, Busta Rhymes shared a pained reflection on his passing. “Complete Disbelief that I’m typing this right now,” he expressed on Instagram. “This one hurts Bad. Dave aka Trugoy the Dove Fly Beloved Fly.. Rest Easy King.” Furthermore, LL Cool J and Ghostface Killah commented under his post, wishing Dave safe travels.

Furthermore, Chuck D posted a wholesome video of him and Trugoy. “#RestInBeats my bro,” he wrote, “#DeLaSoul forever.” DJ Premier also honored Trugoy via Twitter. “So sad to hear of our icons of HIP HOP Culture Pass On… We will miss you Trugoy The Dove (Plug 2) Dave Jolicoeur of DE LA SOUL…Our memories together are endless. Condolences to your family and salute Pos, Maseo and Smiles. @WeAreDeLaSoul.” In addition, Styles P shared a simple but powerful statement on Instagram. “S.I.P. Plug 2…. Legends and energy never die!!!!!”

Meanwhile, Pharrell tweeted a message to not just David Jolicoeur and his loved ones, but to all impacted by his artistry and energy. “Trugoy Dave from De La Soul has gone up to be with the day of the stars with the Master. Sending love, light and positive vibrations to his family, The Soul and everyone whose lives have been touched by his existence. Offset Pleads For Takeoff To “Come Back” On Twitter

The tragic passing of one of the Migos last year was one of 2022’s darkest moments in hip-hop. Months after Takeoff passed in a shooting incident, his cousin Offset took to Twitter to call for him to “come back.” What’s more is that such tributes and honoring statements haven’t slowed down since his untimely passing.

While the Migo’s loss is one to mourn and reflect on for the future of the community, his life should also be celebrated. Of course, it’s hard to do so when the city of Atlanta is in such a dark place. However, many are trying to find light in that darkness and connect with the fans who also feel Takeoff’s loss. For example, Quavo touched many with his tribute track, “WITHOUT YOU,” which he dropped just a couple of weeks ago.

Also, 21 Savage recently spoke on missing the late MC and what his loss means for Atlanta as a whole. While it’s not the most positive message, he did emphasize the importance of cherishing those moments and relationships while they last. He sounded downtrodden, but made it clear that you can never be defeated.

“You can feel a lot of energy missing from Atlanta right now,” he said to Complex. “Atlanta just ain’t the same, honestly. That s**t be really driving me crazy. I feel like we took a lot of big a** losses last year. I don’t feel like we’ll ever recover from that s**t, if I’m being honest. Especially with Takeoff. I feel like we’re just in a dark place right now in Atlanta, as far as our energy. Going outside ain’t the same, clubs ain’t the same, you just feel it. 

“I feel like certain people, when you lose them or they’re not physically able to be present, certain people just aren’t replaceable,” he continued. “There’s nothing you can do to fill that void. I really don’t think there’s nothing we can do for real, but hold on to what we have left and cherish what we have left.”
