Rae Sremmurd Returns With ‘Sremm 4 Life’ Album
Rae Sremmurd Sees Somebody They Like On ‘Tanisha (Pump That)’ From Their Upcoming Album ‘Sremm 4 Life’
Rae Sremmurd, the brotherly rap duo from Tupelo, Mississippi, is back with another new single from their newly announced album, Sremm 4 Life. It’s called “Tanisha (Pump That),” and it’s an upbeat, pulsating club song — think the Miami bass-style R&B of Ghost Town DJs’ “My Boo” — and finds the Brown boys admiring a special young lady at the function and encouraging her to “poke it out” before offering to “take you on a private vacation.”
The song is produced by the Ear Drummers’ longtime collaborator Mike Will Made-It, who co-produced alongside veteran hitmaker Pharrell Williams. On Twitter, Mike Will promised that “Ear Drummer Summer is loading,” which is a welcome relief for those fans who’ve had to wait almost five years for a follow-up to Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi’s last album, 2018’s SR3MM.
Fun fact : I worked with my brother @Pharrell on @RaeSremmurd new single dropping tonight… Big ol

Ahead of announcing the release date for Sremm 4 Life, the sibling act shared a string of singles that included “Denial,” “Torpedo,” and “Sucka Or Sum,” displaying their usual well-worn chemistry. Earlier this week, they also showed off the album’s cover artwork, which continues their tradition of minimalist covers while updating it to show off their style.

Sremm 4 Life is due April 7 on Ear Drummers / Interscope. Get more info here.
Miley Cyrus Might’ve Gone Rock, But She’s Back In The Studio With Mike Will Made And Rae Sremmurd
You’ve got to hand it to Miley Cyrus — nobody does a come back quite like her. When she pivoted to rock in 2020 with Plastic Hearts, it was about as epic a return as any artist has made, and these days, fans are clamoring for more. After her impressive NYE performance and hosting gig with Pete Davidson — where she soldiered through a major wardrobe malfunction — Miley has been working on new music. Likely the first item on her list is recording a studio version of “You,” a song she performed live on New Year’s Eve that her listeners have been clamoring for a recorded version of ever since.
And even though she might be in her rock phase now, that doesn’t mean Miley has abandoned her interest in hip-hop. It seemed she did, a few years ago, when she decided to throw the entire genre under the bus, but now she’s definitely back in the mix. She posted a series of photos on Instagram today with her Bangerz collaborator, Mike Will Made It, and his proteges, Rae Sremmurd. Also pictured? Tobias Jesso Jr. and Bibi Bourelly. This new record is definitely going to be interesting! Keep your ears out for new music coming soon.
Alicia Keys Announces Her Upcoming Double Album, ‘Keys,’ With Production From Mike Will Made-It
It’s been a little over a year since Alicia Keys released her seventh album, Alicia, which featured appearances from Sampha, Sir, Tierra Whack, Miguel, Khalid, Snoh Aalegra, and more. That album’s release was delayed due to the pandemic, but the singer is hoping the same doesn’t happen to her next album, Keys, which will be a sequel-of-sorts to her other 2020 release.

Keys noted that the upcoming project would be a double album, with Side A featuring “laidback piano vibes” that she produced herself and Side B featuring an “upbeat, drums & level Up” sound produced by Mike Will Made-It. She did not share a release date for the album, but the hope is that it arrives much sooner than later.
News of another Alicia Keys album comes after Resort To Love, a Netflix film she produced. It starred fellow 2000s pop fixture Christina Milian and it tells the story of a singer who gets booked for her ex’s wedding, only to end up falling in love and stealing him away from his soon-to-be wife.
