Kyrie Irving Sued for Allegedly Skipping Out on $400K Therapist Bill

Dallas Mavericks superstar Kyrie Irving is facing a lawsuit over claims that he failed to pay more than $400,000 to a therapist and wellness company for their services at a summer retreat. The suit, filed by Natasha McCartney and her company Elite Mind Solutions in the Supreme Court of the State of New York on Monday (Dec. 2), accuses Irving of ghosting her after the event.

Here’s the gist. According to McCartney, Irving hired her to organize and run a retreat for 150 people in North Dakota. Originally planned for 115 attendees, the event’s scope grew rapidly, increasing the cost. She also claims that “additional crisis intervention” became necessary after a guest unexpectedly passed away during the retreat.

“On June 19, 2024, Defendants verbally stated that there would be 115 participants, and Plaintiff adjusted materials and workshops within one week to accommodate the additional guests. Upon Plaintiff’s arrival at the retreat, it was discovered that approximately 150 individuals were attending, instead of the 115 originally planned,” the lawsuit states. “Despite the unexpected increase in attendees the Plaintiff reorganized its entire 5-day program to make space for the non-expected guests.”

Get this, McCartney detailed the services provided during the retreat, including “intuitive life readings,” meditation sessions, and “ionic foot baths.” After the unexpected death of a guest, she claims to have stepped in to manage interactions with police, ensure privacy for Irving, and handle arrangements with the coroner.

Sounds very bliss and all that good stuff.

“She provided essential information to ensure that guests were not interrogated by [police], promptly facilitated the removal of Kyrie from the scene to avoid media exposure, and assisted the Coroner with preparations for the family viewing and transportation,” the lawsuit alleges.

What’s more, despite McCartney’s efforts, she claims Irving has not fulfilled his promise to cover the costs. “Natasha McCartney’s suit recalled that Irving would ‘take care of any costs associated with the program,’ but, ‘despite multiple demands and amicable attempts to resolve the matter, [Irving has] failed to make full payment towards these invoices.’”

Diving deeper, the suit also accuses Irving of deflecting responsibility to his team rather than addressing the issue directly. “After making direct contact with Kyrie Irving and his associates, Mr. Irving put it all off on his supporting cast… Of course, he had an attorney retained, and of course, his manager and his agent got involved and made several insulting offers, but Kyrie Irving himself never personally tried to make amends,” McCartney claims.

As of now, Irving has not publicly commented on the allegations. The lawsuit sheds light on an unusual and complex dispute, adding another headline to the controversial star’s off-court drama. And we doubt that PR team will advise him to comment. Just sayin.

Wendy Williams Spotted in New Jersey Health Food Store After Year-Long Hiatus

cb

This week, fans of former talk show host Wendy Williams were thrilled when new pictures of her surfaced online. After being out of the public eye for over a year, the 60-year-old media icon was seen at Bolingo Balance, a health food store in Newark, New Jersey. The store is run by Victor Bowman, the son of the late Dr. Sebi, a renowned herbalist known for his holistic approach to health.

According to employees who were present during her visit, Williams appeared to be in high spirits, resembling her sharp, upbeat, and bubbly old self. “She was very engaging but wasn’t as familiar with what we do here, so her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., was more involved in explaining things,” one worker shared with Page Six.

During her visit, Williams had a sit-down with Bowman to discuss the health products offered at Bolingo Balance. She expressed an interest in improving her circulation but chose not to delve too deeply into the details during this first meeting. Plans were made for a future visit, indicating that Williams is committed to exploring holistic health options.

Bowman gifted Williams with a selection of holistic products, including iron-rich herbs like sarsaparilla, contribo, and bottano oil, which is highly recommended for skin health. Additionally, she received capsules from Dr. Sebi’s son that are said to promote overall hormonal balance and mental well-being.

On August 19, Bowman shared a photo of himself with Williams on his Facebook page, marking the occasion and reigniting public interest in the former radio queen. The picture has since circulated widely, with fans expressing their support and excitement at seeing Wendy looking well and engaged.

Wendy Williams’ appearance at Bolingo Balance suggests that the once-reigning queen of daytime TV is not only focused on her health but is also open to embracing holistic approaches to wellness. As she plans to return to the store in the near future, her fans are hopeful that this marks the beginning of a new chapter in her life.

Wendy Williams Makes Rare Public Appearance Appears ‘Sharp and Upbeat’

image

Talk show icon Wendy Williams was recently seen out and about in New Jersey. This marks a rare public appearance but thankfully has sparked positive reactions.

Obviously Williams is known for her long-running talk show, was spotted shopping at the Bolingo Balance shop, owned by Victor Bowman, the son of the late herbalist Dr. Sebi.

According to our friends at PageSix, Williams appeared “sharp, upbeat, and aware” during her visit, a significant update given her recent health struggles.

Williams’ son, Kevin Hunter Jr., accompanied her on the outing and assisted her throughout the visit. While Williams was reportedly “engaging,” it was noted that she was not entirely familiar with the products at the store, prompting her son to explain more about them. Items gifted to Williams included natural remedies like sarsaparilla, contribo, bottano oil, and capsules from Dr. Sebi’s collection.

This sighting comes amid ongoing concerns about Williams’ health.

ICYMI, in February 2022, she was placed under court-ordered guardianship after her bank, Wells Fargo, raised concerns about her well-being. The bank requested an inquiry, leading to a court decision to appoint a guardian to manage her finances, citing fears of “undue influence and financial exploitation.”

Get this, Williams publicly opposed the guardianship, asserting her independence in an interview. “They say that I need somebody to handle my account. And I don’t want that,” she stated. “I want all my money. I want to see all my money that I’ve worked hard for my entire life.”

But earlier this year, Williams revealed that she had been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.

That diagnosis is a big deal and almost identical to what famed actor Bruce Willis is suffering from.

Her diagnosis follows her previous battles with Graves’ Disease, Lymphedema, and other health issues. In response to her health challenges, her team released a statement, expressing that the decision to share her diagnosis was difficult but necessary to raise awareness.

Williams’ struggles have also been the subject of a recent Lifetime documentary, “Where Is Wendy Williams?” However, the film has been criticized as exploitative by her publicist, Shawn Zanotti, and her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, who described the project as a “blatant exploitation of a vulnerable woman with a serious medical condition.”

We’re wishing Williams the best and this sighting was certainly hopeful.
