Megan Thee Stallion is going on tour soon, but some fans are calling into question whether it will be a sold-out experience or a less crowded affair. Moreover, this argument has been made by many of her detractors in the past, but this time around, it’s due to $24 ticket prices on Ticketmaster for seats not as close to the stage. Some fans argue that this indicates that the Houston MC is desperate to sell tickets, while others brought up Live Nation’s concert week in which many concerts are getting steep discounts. Furthermore, you can see how either way, it doesn’t seem to have much to do with ticket sales, and fans also debated whether an artist selling more financially accessible tickets is a bad thing. Either way, it’s probably not going to bother Megan Thee Stallion, who’s been teasing some new music recently and hyping up a drop soon. It’s unclear whether this will come out before the tour’s scheduled kickoff in Minneapolis on May 14, but fans obviously hope it drops ASAP. However, Megan Thee Stallion does have to handle some more serious accusations and rumors flying about concerning a harassment lawsuit. While her legal team dismissed this as a “salacious” attempt to get money, we won’t really know anything for sure until the case itself goes away. Of course, this prompted a lot of rightfully earned debate, especially from other fanbases in hip-hop that have beef with the Hotties. There’s some reaching and exaggeration on either side, so this is nothing to take lightly as legitimate legal action.

Meanwhile, in the wait time for that to develop, the Ticketmaster promotion (if true) will likely change in the next few days to age the narratives like fine wine or like milk. There’s been both support and attacks when it comes to the harassment allegations that supersedes any ticket talk. But maybe we just have to wait for the whole tour to go down to see what’s up. On Wednesday, May 1, Hot Girl Meg posted a racy photo on Instagram alongside the caption, “Hotties it’s officially MEGAN MAY [snake emoji] Get ready [flame emoji].”

She followed that up with another photo within the same aesthetic vein alongside the caption, “[egg emoji, snake emoji].”

Megan Thee Stallion is expected to drop her third studio album sometime this year, and the LP is among Uproxx’s “Most Anticipated Albums Of 2024.” So far, Meg has released singles “Cobra” and “Hiss,” if you were wondering where the snake emojis came from.

An album title and release date haven’t been publicly confirmed yet, but Megan Thee Stallion announced her Hot Girl Summer Tour in March. The international tour will begin on May 14 at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota and snake through North America until late June before Megan Thee Stallion pops over to Europe and the UK for a set of dates — ending at The O2 in London on July 17.

Megan Thee Stallion’s highly anticipated Hot Girl Summer Tour has taken the music world by storm, selling out 13 arena stops and over 240,000 tickets since the general on-sale on March 22.

Such overwhelming demand has prompted the addition of a second show in her hometown of Houston, expanding the tour to 34 dates across North America and Europe. Tickets for the newly added June 15 show at the Toyota Center in Houston will be available at 12 pm local time today via store.megantheestallion.com.

Megan’s inaugural headlining arena tour has seen sold-out venues in major cities, including New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. Due to popular demand, Live Nation announced additional shows in Chicago and Atlanta last Friday.

GloRilla is fresh off the release of her new mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang earlier this month. It’s her first new project since the Anyways.. Life’s Great EP dropped in late 2022.

The man named Emilio Garcia filed a lawsuit today stating that the Houston rapper trapped him inside a moving vehicle while they were overseas in a foreign country. Filed to Los Angeles County Superior Court, the details of the lawsuit include harassment and a hostile work environment, in which he recalls her telling him: “don’t ever discuss what you saw.” Garcia claims the “harassment was so severe or pervasive” that made his “working conditions intolerable.” He also claims she went on to criticize and fat shame him.

Garcia began working for Megan Thee Stallion in 2018, quitting the year after to work with Megan full-time. This working relationship continued until June 2023.

According to Page Six, Megan’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, states: “This is an employment claim for money — with no sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations to attempt to embarrass her. We will deal with this in court.”

The incident Garcia refers to occurred during one of her tour stops in Ibiza, Spain.

“I felt uncomfortable,” Garcia told NBC News. “I was kind of frozen, and I was shocked. At kind of just the overall audacity to do this right, right beside me.”

Not only was Garcia traumatized from the incident, but he claims he’s been dealing with several mental health issues as a result, including “mounting anxiety, depression and physical distress stemming.”

After the incident, Garcia says Megan lowered his monthly rate of $4,000 to a “pay-per-task” system.

Garcia also sues Megan Thee Stallion Entertainment, Inc., Hot Girl Touring, LLC, and Roc Nation for harassment and other labor code violations.

Megan Thee Stallion Sued by Personal Cameraman for Creating a ‘Hostile Work Environment’ and Harassment

So Megan Thee Stallion is being sued by a personal cameraman who worked for the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper from 2018 to 2023. In a report in Rolling Stone, the camera man, Emilio Garcia, claims Megan Thee Stallion subjected him to a hostile work environment. Now, get this: the details include allegations of sexual harassment and violations of labor codes.

Garcia’s lawsuit filed on Tuesday in Los Angeles, which was obtained by Rolling Stone, also claims he was fired in retaliation for complaining about his pay and working hour issues.

Here’s where the claim gets dicey. Garcia alleges back in 2022 while traveling with Megan Thee Stallion in Ibiza, Spain, he said she “suddenly” began a sexual encounter with another woman “right beside” while their vehicle was driving. “Plaintiff was embarrassed, mortified and offended throughout the whole ordeal,” the lawsuit reads.

Pete’s reps did not respond to requests for comments from Rolling Stone. The lawsuit also named her personal and touring companies and Roc Nation as defendants.

“Megan just needs to pay our client what he’s due, own up to her behavior and quit this sort of sexual harassment and fat shaming conduct,” in a statement from plaintiff’s attorney Ron Zambrano, a partner at West Coast Employment Lawyers in Los Angeles. “Emilio should never have been put in a position of having to be in the vehicle with her while she had sex with another woman. ‘Inappropriate’ is putting it lightly. Exposing this behavior to employees is definitely illegal.

Megan Thee Stallion has responded to allegations about her made by her former cameraman Emilio Garcia. Garcia reportedly filed a lawsuit against Meg in Los Angeles, claiming she had forced Garcia to watch her have sex with another woman in a moving vehicle. This summer, Meg is expected to embark on the Hot Girl Summer Tour with rapper GloRilla, with whom, she recently collaborated on the track “Wanna Be.”

Emilio Garcia, a photographer who worked for Megan between 2019 and 2023, claimed he witnessed the rapper having sex while in a moving car. Garcia was reportedly told not to “discuss” what he saw, which led to what he described as a “hostile work environment.” The photographer is seeking financial compensation for his experiences, but Megan’s lawyer is not concerned.

Alex Spiro issued a statement to Page Six shortly after Garcia’s case were announced. A month later, Megan signed a deal with Warner Music Group that allowed her to maintain her status as an independent artist. Her net worth currently sits at $12 million.
