Meek Mill And Donald Trump Sharing A Lawyer Is The Multiverse Of Legal Madness

From thug life to dreams and nightmares. First, Donald Trump’s attorney Alina Habba compared her client to the late rappers Biggie Smalls and Tupac (which pissed off Tupac’s sister Set Shakur). Now, news has come out that this isn’t the only connection the disgusted politician has.

In screengrabs captured by Complex, Meek Mill also shared something in common with Trump — a criminal lawyer. After news broke about the former president’s indictment, the “Going Bad” rapper took to Instagram to reveal that his former criminal defense lawyer Joe Tacopina, also known as Joe Tactical, had represented Trump.

Uploaded an image of the news clipping, Meek captioned it, “Trump graduated from the streets,” adding, “Sharing criminal lawyers with us… Joe Tactical.”

Tacopina was a member of the legal team representing Meek during his tumultuous case to overturn his sentence for violating probation from a decade-old gun and drug case in his hometown of Philadelphia. The case was highlighted in the#FreeMeek documentary. Eventually, after a hard-fought battle, Meek and his legal team came out victorious in the end.

Trump is hoping his legal team pulls out a win as well as a maximum sentence for allegedly falsifying records and conspiracy if convicted, could land him behind bars for 136 years.

Meek Mill Points Out He and Trump Share the Same Defense Lawyer: ‘Joe Tactical’

Did you know that Meek Mill and former President Donald Trump have the same lawyer? Trump was arrested and arraigned in Manhattan yesterday (April 4.). On hand with him was his band of lawyers, including Joe Tacopina, who previously represented the “Dreams & Nightmares” rapper.

Seeing the courtroom picture of Trump online, Meek grabbed it and brought it to his Instagram story to cosign how skilled Taocpina is as a lawyer and throwing some attributes to Trump’s credit.

“Trump graduated from the streets…sharing criminal lawyers as ys [with us]…Joe Tactical.”

Joe Tacopina represented Meek Mill in 2017 after he was sentenced to two to four years in prison for violating the terms of his probation. Meek would only serve five months. You can learn more about that here.

Report: The Patriots Won’t Pursue Lamar Jackson Despite Meek Mill’s Best Efforts

You can take the New England Patriots off the list of potential suitors for Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. Earlier in the week, Patriots owner Robert Kraft revealed that Meek Mill told him that Jackson wants to play for the team. Kraft said a decision would ultimately be made by Bill Belichick, and according to a report by Jeff Howe of The Athletic, it appears the team will eschew the chance to pursue Jackson and roll into the 2023 season with Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe.

According to Howe, “the price on Jackson in salary and draft compensation being too much of a non-starter.” Jackson received the non-exclusive franchise tag from the Ravens earlier this offseason, meaning he could agree to a deal with another team and, if Baltimore does not match it, go to them for the price of two first-round NFL Draft picks. But as Howe noted, the Patriots are in a position where meeting Jackson’s widely-reported high asking price for a new deal in a market set by Deshaun Watson’s contract with the Cleveland Browns is not appealing, no matter how they would go about acquiring him.

Via The Athletic:

The Ravens placed the $32.4 million franchise tag on Jackson, so the team still has its share of leverage in the matter. If the Patriots signed Jackson to an offer sheet, they would ship their next two first-round draft picks to Baltimore if the Ravens didn’t match the terms. Plus, for Jackson to agree to an offer sheet, the Patriots would almost certainly need to give him a contract worth far more money than they ever extended to Tom Brady.

So what about a trade? In theory, the Patriots could test Jackson’s true desire to link up, attempt to convince him to accept a far more affordable deal and offer the Ravens a trade package — say, three first-round picks — to get the Ravens onboard with such a move.

Jackson announced earlier this week that he requested a trade from the Ravens as the beginning of the month, one that has failed to materialize.

DJ Drama Suggests “Gangsta Grillz” Mixtape With Quentin Miller After Drake Debacle

Some Hip Hop beefs can come and go without fans giving a care, but Drake and Meek Mill’s unraveling was havoc for Quentin Miller. We remember when Drizzy and Meek were at odds all those years ago—primarily because of the classic tracks that came from the chaos. At the time, Miller’s reference tracks for Drake were given to Meek, who could use the material against his foe. It was alleged that DJ Drama was responsible, but he denied the allegations. Miller even spoke up, saying he didn’t write anything for Drake, but that didn’t calm the masses. Funk Flex then threatened to release the reference tracks—and later did just that after Meek failed to provide a Drake diss.

For some, this is all water under the bridge, but Miller’s career was negatively impacted. He would also say that he wasn’t paid for his additions to Drake’s records, and has made no qualms about being bitter about the financial loss. Meanwhile, DJ Drama revisited that time in Hip Hop history with DJ Akademiks. The pair chatted on the latter’s Off The Record podcast, and Drama admitted it was time to make things right with Miller. The hitmaking producer has widely been credited as pouring gasoline on the flames of the beef.

DJ Drama Wants To Make Things Right

“Well, just to clarify, I definitely think there are apologies owed to Quentin Miller, for sure,” said Drama. He added, “I don’t know if I would say that they would only need to be from me. If it makes you feel any better, me and Quentin have seen each other recently.” Drama included Miller in online posts and even teased a possible collaboration. “I put it on social media, I put him in my Story. Came to the studio, and we’ve even talked. I asked him if he wanted to do a Gangsta Grillz. So, you know, I would definitely be open and down to doing a Gangsta Grillz with Quentin Miller.”

Drama also wanted to shut down any rumors that he and Drake were at war behind the scenes. They appeared together at the Kentucky Derby for Jack Harlow‘s music video and posed for a photo op. “These guys have patched it up. And then Quentin, out of the four of us or what have you, unfortunately, it looks like he got the short end of the stick.” Quentin issued a response on his Instagram Story. Check that out, along with Drama’s interview, above.

Meek Mill Joins Robert Kraft’s $25M Campaign To Combat Antisemitism

Just a few days after Kanye West issued an apology of sorts to the Jewish community, Meek Mill’s joined a fight to combat antisemitism. Robert Kraft recently announced a $25M initiative to combat anti-Jewish hatred, which has undoubtedly increased over the past few months. Kraft enlisted the help of Tom Brady and Meek Mill for the initiative, which will go through the Patriots owner’s Foundation to Combat Antisemitism. Kraft explained that the rising number of antisemitic incidents inspired him to raise awareness of what’s happening across the country.

“What’s happening in America today, it is a big part of my life,” Kraft told People about the new initiative. “There’s been work done that shows that 50% of Americans do not realize that antisemitism is any problem, and the Jewish population is roughly 2.4% of the population in the US but yet receives over 55% of the hate crimes.” With the help of Meek Mill and Tom Brady, Robert Kraft aims to “educate all Americans” on the hateful acts perpetrated against the Jewish community.

Meek Mill, Tom Brady Join Robert Kraft’s Initiative

Kraft’s foundation already began rolling out its campaign via social media through the Blue Square emoji. They’ve shared a number of stories that highlight the struggles Jewish Americans face right now. “[Tom Brady] and I are still very tight and he will be using this blue emoji when we kick off again,” Kraft said of enlisting the retired quarterback for his campaign. It seems as though Meek Mill will likely join Tom Brady and Robert Kraft on the social campaign, as well.

The Philadelphia rapper’s involvement doesn’t come as much of a surprise, especially since Kraft played a big role in helping launch the REFORM initiative. Meek Mill will join Robert Kraft during a trip to Poland next month for the March of the Light. The event takes visitors through the locations of concentration camps in the country. Robert Kraft explained Meek Mill will join him to “see what went on” during the Holocaust. The rapper later shared the news on Twitter, writing, “Shout out to Robert,” along with several diamond emojis.

Meek Mill Is Trying To Get Lamar Jackson On The Patriots

Meek Mill and Robert Kraft have been good friends for quite some time now. Kraft is the owner of the New England Patriots, and he has shown a great interest in prison and justice reform. Overall, he was a big part of Meek Mill gaining his freedom a few years ago. Subsequently, the two have worked on various prison reform projects together. That said, it should come as no surprise that Meek would act as a mediator of sorts whenever there is a player expressing interest in the Patriots.

Yesterday, it was revealed that Lamar Jackson was looking for a trade out of Baltimore. Although he has been great for that team, they are refusing to give him the deal he wants. Consequently, Jackson feels slighted and would like to play for a team that respects him. According to TMZ, this apparently led to a conversation between Meek Mill and Jackson. Within that conversation, Jackson made it very clear that he wants to play for Bill Belichick and the Patriots.

During the NFL Annual League Meeting, Robert Kraft revealed that he had a conversation with Meek about Jackson’s interest. Just a few days ago, the rapper texted Kraft and told him that Jackson is available. However, Kraft has no plans to pursue the quarterback just yet. At the end of the day, it will all depend on what Bill Belichick has to say. He is the defacto general manager, and the vast majority of decisions go through him.

No matter what, the Lamar Jackson situation will be fascinating to watch. There are a few teams that could use an upgrade right about now. However, the Ravens seem very reluctant to trade their franchise quarterback, and rightfully so. With this situation developing, stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates. Additionally, let us know where you think Lamar Jackson should play, in the comments down below.

Meek Mill And Tom Brady Join $25 Million Antisemitism Initiative Founded By Robert Kraft

Over the years, Meek Mill and Robert Kraft’s relationship has been quite interesting to watch. The “Expensive Pain” rapper and New England Patriot’s Chief Executive Officer bond was strengthened when Kraft served as a key financial contributor toward the #FreeMeek movement via his Reform Alliance to backed in 2017 to fight for the rapper’s release from prison. Although the pair since collaborated in many ways, Meek’s latest post on Twitter revealed another large initiative on the horizon.

As confirmed by Kraft’s recent interview with People, Meek Mill and former New England Patriot star quarterback Tom Brady will be joining the businessmen’s $25 million antisemitism initiative. The multi-level campaign organized by Kraft’s Foundation to Combat Antisemitism aims to educate Americans on how to fight antisemitism.

“What’s happening in America today, it is a big part of my life. There’s been work done that shows that 50% of Americans do not realize that antisemitism is any problem, and the Jewish population is roughly 2.4% of the population in the US but yet receives over 55% of the hate crimes,” said Kraft.

As part of the campaign’s social media campaign, supporters are encouraged to use the designed blue emoji to show their support and as a visual “symbol of solidarity.” Brady is on board and will be using it across his posts once the campaign begins. When discussing the former New England Patriot, Kraft said, “He and I are still very tight, and he will be using this blue emoji when we kick off again.”

Education on the matter is important to Kraft. He revealed that he encouraged Meek to join him on a visit to Poland citing he wanted the musician “see what went on” in Holocaust death camps.

Robert Kraft Got A Text From Meek Mill That Lamar Jackson Wants To Join The Patriots

Lamar Jackson would like the rest of the NFL to know he is very much available after announcing publicly on Monday that he issued a trade request to the Ravens back in early March, five days before the team placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on him.

John Harbaugh insisted at the league meetings the team was still preparing for Lamar to be a Raven and that he “felt good” about where negotiations were, but Jackson appears to be a bit more frustrated with his standing in Baltimore right now. There are a number of teams with rumored interest in Jackson, headlined by the Colts — whose team plane just so happened to be in Baltimore recently, as Twitter sleuths discovered. Colts GM Chris Ballard didn’t shy away from how intriguing it is to have Jackson on the market, and armed with the No. 4 overall pick in this year’s Draft, the Colts are probably the team best equipped to make a run at him.

Jackson, meanwhile, apparently has some interest in a longtime AFC power in the New England Patriots, with that information being relayed to owner Robert Kraft by the strangest of brokers: Meek Mill.

Mill is fairly close with Kraft (and former Sixers owner Michael Rubin), regularly attending events with the Patriots owner, so it’s not quite as bizarre as it initially seems, but it’s still a pretty funny game of telephone being played between an NFL owner, a hip-hop artist, and a star quarterback. The best part is Kraft doesn’t even pretend like he wouldn’t be interested, instead passing the responsibility on making that decision to Bill Belichick.

That’s just savvy ownership work, as even the slightest hint of a Jackson rumor will excite the Pats fanbase — and he also knows better than to alienate Mac Jones completely by insisting he fully believes in Jones as their guy. All of this is just the beginning of what ought to be a wild Draft season, with Aaron Rodgers still in the wind as well with the Jets trying desperately to land him from Green Bay, and Jackson now putting the heat on Baltimore by announcing his intentions of playing elsewhere next year.

Meek Mill Praises Rick Ross For Keeping It “Solid” With His MMG Contract

Meek Mill is without a doubt Rick Ross’ biggest export out of the MMG camp. Even though singles like “What’s Free,” alongside Jay-Z, “I’ma Boss” and “Believe It” stand as remarkable examples of their work together, it seemed as though their relationship became strained. The specifics surrounding Meek Mill and Rick Ross’ falling out didn’t come to light, though things have since resolved between the two. Meek praised Ross on Twitter over the weekend for keeping “solid.” “Rozay kept it solid wit my contract when I came to him with the business,” he announced, adding, “MMG X DC.”

Not only did Meek Mill and Rick Ross find a resolution for their issues, but they also began working on new music. Even though we haven’t gotten any confirmation of another MMG compilation, Meek Mill and Rozay were recently spotted in the studio together where they previewed new music. It’s unclear when we could expect that to drop but Meek previously indicated that he has a mixtape for each quarter of 2023 so perhaps, we might see the collab on his next mixtape.

Meek Mill & Rick Ross Make Peace

Though many wondered if Rick Ross and Meek Mill remained friends, the Flamerz 5 rapper confirmed that he still has love for the MMG boss during the Dreams & Nightmares 10-year reunion concert. Ross came out as a surprise guest to roaring applause from audience members who didn’t expect to see him and Meek on the same stage. However, the two artists made it clear that it was all love between them as they breezed through their collaborative hit records.

The fact that they finally came together arrived after a string of rumors surrounding the tension between them. First, rumors emerged that Meek Mill turned Rick Ross away from his section at a club a few years back. However, when Meek tweeted up a storm surrounding his issues with Atlantic Records, many felt as though some of the criticism was directed towards. Eventually, Meek cleared the air, claiming that Atlantic took Roddy Ricch from him, similar to how they tried to separate him and Rick Ross. “But that label seperated us instantly when the millions came in from him… same thing they tried to do with me and rozay,” he said.
