Steve Harvey is ensuring you know he loves, honors, and cherishes Marjorie Harvey. Harvey’s marriage has been the subject of nasty rumors online.

While accepting The Television Icon award at The Grio Awards, Steve spoke to Marjorie, stating, “I appreciate you riding with me.”

“That woman right there been down with me like four flat tires,” Harvey said. “That women has been faithful to me, loyal to me, 85% of what y’all up here talking to me about happened after I married that girl right there. We 18 years strong and I don’t know what y’all trying to do but we covered.”

Harvey would go on to quote multiple scriptures that are strong within their union. You can hear it all below.

In September, Steve Harvey defended his wife after rumors and allegations swirled online. The latest is Marjorie Harvey was the reason his previous marriage ended.

“Quit talking about she was in my other marriage and ruined it. She didn’t,” Harvey said on his morning radio show. “Marjorie and I got together in 2006. We had nothing when I asked her to marry me and wanted to get married in 2007. Do you know what I was doing in 2007? Nothing. We had four stations, we built this. This woman got down in that foxhole with me and turned this into something. In 2007 we got married, in 2008, we found out someone had stolen my tax returns and we were $22 million in debt.

“But in 2009, I got Family Feud. In 2009, the book came out. This woman got in the hole and built this with me. She ain’t steal nothing, and I’m tired of y’all talking about my girl.”

Before that, Harvey also spoke in defense of his wife after rumors of cheating hit online. Harvey addressed the rumors at Invest Fest.

“Before I get started, just let me say I’m fine,” Harvey said as he came to the stage. “We’re fine. I don’t know what y’all doing, but find something else to do because we’re fine. Lord have mercy.”

Marjorie also added her own statement on Instagram, “My husband I don’t usually stop to address all the foolishness and lies that have been spread about us. However to whom much is given much is required. I understand that with my platform comes some sort of responsibility to those that may not be as strong as we are.”

Steve Harvey Honors “Faithful” & “Loyal” Wife At TheGrio Awards

Steve Harvey paid tribute to his wife of 18 years, Marjorie, while accepting the Television Icon Award at TheGrio Awards on Saturday. The Family Feud host labeled her “faithful” and “loyal,” amid rumors of infidelity in their relationship from earlier this year.

“That woman right there been down with me like four flat tires,” Steve began. He added that she’s been “faithful” and “loyal to me,” and, “85% of what y’all up here [are] talking to me about happened after I married that girl right there.” He continued: “We’ve been 18 years strong. I don’t know what y’all been trying to do, but we covered, though.” From there, he cited the biblical verses Isaiah 54:17, Isaiah 43:1-2 and Psalm 91, before passing the award off to event staff with the instruction to give it to Marjorie. “I love you Marjorie Harvey,” he concluded. “I appreciate you riding with me.”

Steve Harvey Accepts The Television Icon Award

It’s not the first time Harvey has come to his wife’s defense in response to the cheating allegations. During an episode of the Steve Harvey Morning Show in September, he said: “The woman I married is a good woman. She’s the best thing to ever happen to me. She’s God-fearing, she’s loyal, she’s faithful, and she’s a kind and loving person. I don’t care what nobody say—and y’all quit talking about she was in my other marriage and ruined it. She didn’t. She was nowhere around that.”

Steve Harvey Is Sick Of His Wife’s Name Being Dragged In Headlines

Steve Harvey and his wife have found their names in headlines much more than they probably expected recently. They celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary back in July and things seemed pretty great at the time. But since then it’s been a series of controversies all spawning from one particular viral tweet. The tweet suggested that Harvey and Marjorie Harvey were hitting a rough patch and even implied that she had cheated on the TV personality. While those rumors were debunked rather quickly drama has still followed the pair for weeks since.

That controversy combined with another negative tweet made from his own account caused Harvey to have to speak out. He shared a message apologizing for the post and claiming that due to both incidents he had fired someone from his social media team. He probably expected the stories to stop then, but they haven’t. Just a day later he was forced to provide a comment on the infidelity rumors about his wife. “I don’t know what y’all doing, but find something else to do, ’cause we fine,” the comedian said.

Now in a new clip, Steve Harvey is once again sticking up for his wife. This time he is defending her from allegations that she had something to do with the downfall of his previous marriage. He tells the full story of how they met entirely independently of the decline of his first marriage. “She didn’t steal nothing,” he declares after telling the full story. “And I’m tired of y’all talkin’ bout my girl. Cause my girl is one of the best women I’ve ever met.”

Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.”

In her caption, Marjorie added, “My husband and I don’t usually stop to address all the foolishness and lies that have been spread about us. However, to whom much is given much is required.” The mother of three acknowledged that, as a woman with a platform, she feels a certain level of public responsibility when her name becomes a trending topic.
