Bambi Threatens Momma Dee With Legal Action Amid Long-Standing Feud

Bambi has threatened to take Momma Dee to court with a defamation lawsuit, amid their years-long feud. Discussing their issues with Amanda Seales on her Small Doses podcast, the Love And Hip Hop Atlanta star revealed her intentions for court.

The conversation arose while Bambi was discussing how she too often lets things go. “I just started to realize this year. People are like, ‘You let stuff go so much.’ I think if I just keep going and don’t have to deal with it, I just be like whatever, whatever. I don’t get offended by much and that’s not a good thing.” From there, Seales asked her age, noting that the mentality may catch up with her.

Bambi replied: “Let’s not talk about this right here ‘cause I’ve been having some issues with…I know you ain’t been really watching this stuff. Okay…my mother-in-law, right? I’m suing her for defamation of character because she just literally said two days ago that I used a fake ID when I went to jail and gave them the wrong age, and she’s just making a big thing out of…so let’s just…I know that’s a lot to…” Seales then remarked, “I just…can’t we all get along?” to which Bambi admitted, “No, we cannot, ma’am. We are suing people.”

K. Michelle Claims She Was Paid More Than Joseline Hernandez On “LHHATL”

Recently, Joseline Hernandez spoke with Carlos King about her time on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, revealing how much she was paid. She claimed that she was the highest-paid of the entire cast, describing how the network continued to give her raises to keep her on the show. “Second season, I was making like $15,000, and then like by the end of second season I went up to like $20,000…they just kept bumping me up,” she explained. “They was just throwing money at me they was like ‘we don’t want her not to come to work’…they would just bump me up. They did that for years.”

K. Michelle, however, has other thoughts. She recently took to social media to argue Hernandez’ claim that she was the highest-paid on the show, saying that it was actually her. “Ummm now y’all don’t have to like me but everything I told y’all has been true,” she began. “I normally wouldn’t even say anything but it is an accomplishment of me and my lawyer.”

K. Michelle Says She Was Highest-Paid Of The Show

“I was definitely the highest paid cast member,” she continued. “Sorry that just the truth. I did very well there. I started off season 1 at $25,000 I by the time I left I was way over 50,000 per episode and had 3 seasons of my own show on an actual network.” K. Michelle added, “I don’t say much but numbers don’t lie. I’m just speaking facts.” She went on, claiming that she was one of the few cast members to use the show to further their career.

“They would even have to limit peoples appearances to pay me and stay in budget. LHH did great for me. It taught me how to be smart about my movements. Other than Cardi and Jason Lee there is no one who used the show to their benefit like me. I was smart.” Share your thoughts in the comments section below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on K. Michelle.

Lyrica Anderson Defends Erica Mena’s “Monkey” Comment, Van Lathan Calls Her “Vile”

Erica Mena has recently been under fire for using a racial slur against Spice on an episode of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. The two of them got into it, and it’s safe to say that things were taken too far. When Spice made a comment about Mena’s family life, she fired back by calling her a “blue monkey.” This has resulted in a great deal of backlash for the personality, and has even led to her being removed from the next season of the show.

The reality star has been hit with a lot of criticism for her use of the slur. Van Lathan also spoke on the incident recently, claiming that it showcases an “anti-Black attitude.” He broke down his take, explaining that her “proximity to Blackness” doesn’t excuse her for having having racist tendencies. “Erica Mena called Spice a ‘monkey,’” Lathan also said. “That is an anti-Black slur, meant to dehumanize Black women, Black people. Until further notice, Erica Mena is a vile, racist woman.”

Lyrica Anderson Speaks On Erica Mena’s Use Of A Slur

Though Mena has been facing her fair share of criticism for using the slur, others have come to her defense. Recently, Lyrica Anderson took to social media to share her own thoughts on the situation. She seemed to claim that Mena didn’t really do anything wrong. Anderson’s take is that when people get heated in an argument, they’re not thinking about what is and isn’t appropriate to say. “It’s like rules to arguing now,” she says. “Are you really thinking about how to argue with somebody when you’re mad mad?”

Amid the controversy, some social media users have dug up old reports about a similar incident that allegedly took place in 2015. A club promoter had come forward, alleging that Mena called her and members of her staff “Black, broke, monkeys.” Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Momma Dee Offers Her Thoughts On Bambi’s Recent Arrest

Momma Dee has shared her thoughts on the recent arrest of her former daughter-in-law, “Bambi” Benson. The Love & Hip Hop star was recently arrested alongside her castmates, Erica Mena and ZellSwag. The alleged brawl took place at an Atlanta lounge. Saucy Santana, who was present with his boyfriend, Zell, apparently swiftly left the situation. There have been reports that Erica Mena even bit a police officer.

In Momma Dee’s opinion, the reality star needs to “reassess” her relationship with her current friend group. “I found out Erica bit the police. Girl, don’t be getting Bambi in on trouble,” Momma Dee said in a clip posted to The Neighborhood Talk‘s Instagram. “Bambi, you need to reassess who you’re friends are.”

She continued: “Sierra got out the way, real quick. Ya gotta think…ya just gotta think. It ain’t worth it. Paying bonds. And you already know we [dealing] [with] Fulton County Jail. [It’s] the kinda jail [where] people coming up dead and stuff.” She added,” It’s nasty in there. Girl, don’t nobody want to be caught behind enemy lines. Ok, Bam, hope somebody tell her.” In another slide of the lengthy clip, Momma Dee continues on. “Send Momma Dee to jail and see how close I get to you. Never Again. You ain’t gonna cost me and my kids hardship, honey,” she said.

“…And Bambi love her children. And Scrappy love his children, ok. Don’t be getting Bam locked up…I don’t want her locked up…my grandkids need their mother.” However, in the wake of the official announcement, Momma Dee had a different take on the matter. As well as accusing Bambi of lying about her age, she also clowned her lash game. “Did you know she used her fake IDs when they booked her? It said she was 37 when she got booked. Yes, see, she still lying,” she said in recently surfaced clip. “She can’t afford [to be sued] because ain’t pay her divorce lawyer, did y’all know that?” Maybe the pair aren’t as close as they seem.

Amara La Negra Says She & Safaree Are Not Dating, Hints At Publicity Stunt

Amara La Negra and Safaree sparked relationship rumors earlier this year thanks to some lewd videos and beef with his ex Erica Mena. However, during a recent Instagram Live session, Amara explained that neither she nor Safaree ever made this public. As such, it’s all been just rumors up until this point. Considering how close they were, it seems like a stretch, but the “Love & Hip Hop” star explained that she’s just doing her job and netting a lot of ratings and conversation in the process. In other words, she knew exactly what she was doing.

“Safaree never said y’alls was in a relationship, either,” Amara La Negra responded to a fan during her live session. “I’ve been single since the father of my kids, and I haven’t had sex since the father of my kids. Mama, mira, listen. Mira, mama. [Look, girl]. Let me put it this way. I’m a pretty smart girl, I believe that I am. I’ve come this far because I think I’m pretty smart. I get hired to do my job and I do what I have to do, I do it well. We have good ratings, and with that being said, I have accomplished my mission. Now, after that, you want to believe whatever it is you want to believe, that’s on you. You understand?

Amara La Negra Explains Safaree Relationship Rumors

“Like I said before, I’ve been single since the father of my kids, I haven’t had sex since the father of my kids, and I continue to do my job,” Amara La Negra continued. “As long as you give us those ratings, I’ma give you what you want. So, if that’s what you want, then that’s what you see. Yass, period. If you don’t get it after that, there’s nothing else that I can tell you mami, okay?

“Let me tell you something,” she concluded. “My first season of ‘Love & Hip Hop: Miami’ was the best season of my life. I had an amazing producer, Marie Carmen Lopez. She really embraced and showcased who I really was, what my purpose was. Second season came, we somewhat did that ‘ehh.’ And then third and fourth, and now on the fifth, I mean, I’m just going with the flow. Whatever that means, if you’re smart enough, you understand. All I’m saying is that I’ve been single since the father of my kids, but let’s just go with it. Let’s go with whatever it is that you’re watching.” For more news and the latest updates on Safaree, Amara La Negra, and “Love & Hip Hop,” check back in with HNHH.

Who Is Jessica White? The Newest Member Of “Love & Hip Hop”

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta has welcomed newcomer Jessica White to the show. She is an incredibly stunning fashion model and television personality who gained fame at an early age for her striking looks and versatility in front of the camera. After just one week of modeling, White’s first gig was for none other than Vogue magazine. Since then, she’s built a very impressive portfolio for herself. Besides her outstanding modeling career, she has appeared on multiple reality TV shows and had an eight-year relationship with Nick Cannon.

White recently penned a long, heartfelt message to Cannon. In a lengthy Instagram post, she covered the eventual breakdown of their relationship. She revealed several intimate details, stating she gave “eight ride or die years” to Cannon. The message came as a result of Nick Cannon seemingly disapproving of Jessica White’s casting in Love & Hip Hop Atlanta

White has appeared in several high-profile magazines. She moved to Paris as a teenager and quickly signed with IMG Models. This led to her featuring in W, Harper’s Bazaar, Maxim, and Sports Illustrated, the latter becoming a frequent collaborator of hers. White appeared in multiple Sports Illustrated series 12 times for a whopping eight years. In the mid-2000s, she also became a lauded Victoria’s Secret runway model.

Commercially, she also worked for CoverGirl and was signed as a spokesperson for Maybelline cosmetics. Her runway portfolio might be her most impressive, as she’s walked for significant names, including Alice Roi, Baby Phat, Ralph Lauren, Philipp Plein, Oscar de la Renta, Marc Jacobs, DKNY, and more. She continued her reign in the 2000s with advertisements for Gap, Tommy Jeans, and Rocawear.

White extended her career with a moderately successful venture into television, particularly reality TV. She had minor roles in the comedies Big Momma’s House 2 and The Perfect Match. In 2009, she appeared as herself on America’s Next Top Model. After a long break from TV, White starred in an episode of the reality TV parody Real Husbands of Hollywood alongside Nick Cannon on the episode “Model Behavior.” Until her announcement as a member of Love & Hip Hop, White’s most notable appearance was on the reality dating show, Famously Single. Along with other prominent celebrity figures, White attempted to address and fix her romantic problems.

Jessica White’s Relationship With Nick Cannon

On June 13, in a since-deleted Instagram post, White chronicled the alleged toxic state of her relationship with Nick Cannon. This would mark the second time the model would speak up about her time with the media mogul.  In 2021, she admitted to finding out about his baby with Brittany Bell, along with the rest of the world, while they were a couple. Worse yet, the announcement came just a few weeks after White’s miscarriage.

During an exclusive interview with Page Six, White revealed several alleged instances of emotional abuse marked her relationship. “I went through an emotionally abusive relationship, and everybody goes through it,” she said. “I am just the first person in Hollywood to talk about it, and not try to make a pretty picture of it.” Although the pair were officially together from 2015 until 2020, White claimed they’d been an on-and-off couple for much longer.

White has since joked that she should have saved the massive details for a book and “got paid for it.” Regardless, she has insisted she’s never going back to Nick Cannon. “I am having so much fun without him, and I am better without him,” she said. White added that she doesn’t need “all that energy and all that s**t.” She is now on a journey of self-love and acceptance, and she’s admitted she’s quite excited to try her hand at love again and have a baby “with the right man.”

Rappers Who Starred In Their Own Reality TV Shows

Over the years, many rappers have made successful ventures into reality TV shows. There have been several reasons for the transitions, too. For some, it’s a chance to be more vulnerable with fans, and for others, a convenient cash grab or platform to fame. Many of these reality TV shows have offered a closer look at the lives of these rappers. Their families are often involved, and many exciting dynamics are revealed.

As expected, not all shows are successful right off the bat. Moreover, those that score huge ratings have a familial touch to them. Reality TV is littered with many famous names, from legends in the game to newer acts in the industry. Furthermore, they have delivered some important pop culture moments and timeless memes.

Rev Run – Run’s House

Run’s House is credited for paving the way for other rappers to break into Hip Hop related reality TV shows. The series focuses on the life and family of Joseph Simmons, popularly known as Rev Run. His fleet of talented kids, his brother Russell, and his wife Justine contributed to the show’s success. Run’s House was also noteworthy because it didn’t shy away from deeply emotional moments the family shared.

The series ventured into the death of Simmons’ daughter Victoria, showcasing the family’s vulnerability. It also packed several hilarious and heartwarming moments for great TV content. Run’s House and its success greatly influenced other reality TV shows featuring rappers. The series ended in 2011 after six seasons.

Ice-T – Ice Loves Coco

Hip Hop veteran turned actor Ice-T was initially skeptical of welcoming cameras into his home. With the help of his wife, Coco, the pair delivered some fun reality TV moments. Ice Loves Coco offered viewers a softer side to the hard-hitting rapper. The series delved into the couple’s personal moments, from dealing with Hurricane Sandy to the birth of Coco’s sister’s baby. Ice Loves Coco aired on E! for three seasons.

Ice-T famously revealed that he left reality TV to not overstay his welcome. The rapper and actor decided not to give the public deeper access to his family. Additionally, Ice and Coco had begun plans to star in their own talk show. However, these plans did not come to fruition.

NellyNellyville

One of many mainstream rappers to venture into reality TV shows is Nelly. The Grammy winner starred in his own show between 2014 and 2015. Nellyville, named after his acclaimed sophomore album, showed the Grammy winner in his element as a family man. Nelly took in his deceased sister’s children and created a loving, blended family. All their antics, highs, and lows were documented for two seasons and 21 episodes.

Snoop DoggSnoop Dogg’s Father Hood

Besides his career as a rap legend, Snoop Dogg has been known to be a lover of family. Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood brought his relationships with his wife and children to the forefront. Snoop and his family welcomed viewers into their loving and fun dynamic. The series also had a few notable guest stars, from David Beckham to John Cena and Keyshia Cole.

There were several interesting plots in the series. Snoop let fans in to see how he prepared to host the 2007 MTV Europe Music Awards. He also educated his son Corde about sex, traveled around the globe, and even got his Man Cave reinvented. Like other reality TV shows featuring rappers, Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood showed a more delicate side to the icon.

T.I. – T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle

T.I., his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris, and their kids starred in The Family Hustle. Similar in style to Run’s House, The Family Hustle featured a large cast of the rapper’s children. The reality TV show also lasted much longer than most, with six seasons and 100 episodes. The Family Hustle had several hilarious moments but kept an emotional balance throughout.

T.I. and Tiny’s relationship was a noteworthy highlight in the series. The matriarch of the Harris family held things down during low moments they faced. The Family Hustle also showcased the Harris children growing into their own as teenagers. The reality TV show was undoubtedly a hit for VH1.

Flavor Flav – Flavor of Love

Flavor of Love is responsible for introducing Tiffany “New York” Pollard to the world at large. While that is reason alone for its timelessness, the series offered so much more. Flavor Flav, veteran rapper and founding member of Public Enemy, was on a journey to find love. Several women vied for the legend’s hand, and that made for quality TV.

Flavor of Love is still culturally relevant today with many legendary catfights, disses, and a historic “Beyoncé” meme. While other rappers starred in family-based reality TV shows, this was much more chaotic and exciting. Flavor Flav famously refused to wed any of the girls on the show, too. Due to its popularity, it launched several spin-offs.

Various Rappers – Love & Hip Hop

Love & Hip Hop is one of the most popular reality TV shows to house many famous rappers. Megastars like Cardi B have Love & Hip Hop as the platform that shot them to mainstream fame. Many other household names have also appeared in the reality TV show: Soulja Boy, Remy Ma, Joe Budden, Safaree Samuels, and many more.
