Taco Bell And LeBron James Announce “Taco Tab Tuesday”

Earlier this year, we reported on how LeBron James and Taco Bell had successfully released the phrase “Taco Tuesday” into the public domain. The popular colloquialism is now free to use in every US state aside from New Jersey. Now, the restaurant chain and NBA legend are sponsoring a “taco tab” to celebrate. On September 12, DoorDash users will be able to receive $5 off any $15+ DoorDash order from one of the 20,000 participating Mexican restaurants, per a press release from Taco Bell. All you have to do is use the code TACOTAB at checkout. However, the offer is only valid outside of New Jersey.

Furthermore, LeBron himself even made a statement about the special event. “Everyone being able to freely celebrate Taco Tuesday is a huge win for so many. I’m excited that all restaurants, small businesses, mom and pop shops, taco trucks, and families everywhere can now engage in and enjoy this tradition that brings people together,” the NBA veteran said. Previously, LeBron had confessed to be a being regular adherent to Taco Tuesdays. That’s what inspired LeBron to get involved with the campaign.

Back in May, LeBron James teamed up with Taco Bell to free “Taco Tuesday” from its corporate trademark limbo. According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the phrase was trademarked by Taco John’s Seasoning in 1989. While this does not affect day-to-day usage, it does legally bar restaurants and other institutions from using the phrase. Furthermore, Gregory’s Bar & Restaurant, a family-owned eatery in Somers Point, New Jersey, owned the trademark exclusively in New Jersey.

According to a press release sent to HotNewHipHop earlier this year, “‘Taco Tuesday’ is a tradition that everyone should be able to celebrate. All restaurants, all families, all businesses – everybody. ‘Taco Tuesdays’ create opportunities that bring people together in so many ways, and it’s a celebration that nobody should own.” The push to have the trademark become public domain caught the attention of LeBron, who is reportedly a self-professed Taco Tuesdays fan and adherent. And so the NBA veteran joined the fight to free Taco Tuesdays for all. Enjoy your Mexican food this Tuesday in the name of LeBron and Taco Bell.

Cause Of Bronny James’ Cardiac Arrest Revealed

Fans were left shocked and concerned, after it was reported that Bronny James collapsed during basketball practice at USC last month. The 18-year-old college athlete, and LeBron James’ oldest son, was rushed to the hospital to be treated. He was later said to be in stable condition, coming as a relief to supporters. With that being said, the frightening incident still left many wondering what this could mean for the young player’s future in the sport. Now, a spokesperson for the James family has provided a highly-anticipated update on his health.

“After a comprehensive initial evaluation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center led by Dr. Merije Chukumerije and follow-up evaluations at the Mayo Clinic led by Dr. Michael J. “It is an anatomically and functionally significant Congenital Heart Defect which can and will be treated,” they revealed. A’ja Wilson Ties WNBA Scoring Record, LeBron Reacts To Her Doing It In LeBron 20s

On August 22, Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson tied the WNBA single-game scoring record with a 53-point performance against the Atlanta Dream. The mark had previously been by Liz Cambage in 2018 while playing for the Dallas Wings. Wilson went 16-for-23 from the floor, as well as 20-for-21 from the free-throw line. However, the Aces needed every single point, eventually winning out 112-100. Furthermore, the win also saw the Aces tie the single-season wins record, set by the Mercury in 2014. Following last night’s victory, the Aces are 29-4.

“She runs like a deer, jumps like a cat and catches as if she were Spider-Man,” Aces head coach Becky Hammon said. “She is just special. Her real gift is in her humility and grace and how she handles herself and her teammates. She is a phenomenal superstar.” However, the recently enshrined Hall of Famer wasn’t the only person to praise Wilson’s performance. Lakers star LeBron James also got in on the action.

LeBron Hypes Wilson’s Epic Performance

LeBron expressed his admiration for Wilson in response to a tweet from sneaker journalist Nick DePaula. DePaula had noted that Wilson’s record-tying performance was done in a pair of Lebron 20s. “Must be the 👟!!! Nah it’s definitely her game the whole way!! They do look good on her though! GO THE HELL OFF THEN SIS!!!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 @_ajawilson22,” LeBron wrote as a quote tweet. Wilson chose the Lebron shoe over her own signature Nike for the game.

“I was just really aggressive today,” Wilson said of her own performance. “I’m out there having fun, and I get the opportunity to play with some amazing women. I don’t take these moments for granted. But it wasn’t a feeling like, ‘Oh, my God!’ It was kind of just in the flow. The biggest thing is just my timing. I see a lot of different defenses every possession.” The Aces will remain on the road for the rest of the week. They have games in Chicago, DC, and New York before closing out the month with a home game against the Mystics.

Drake Gave A Heartfelt Speech Explaining Why LeBron James Is His ‘Brother’ During An LA Concert

Drake and 21 Savage continued their It’s All A Blur Tour in Los Angeles over the weekend — and keeping with the trend of bringing surprise guests. While Kendall Jenner and SZA have already popped up at past LA dates, the recent celebs had the crowd going wild.

None other than LeBron James and his son Bronny (who is doing “great” after his recent health scare) joined the rappers on stage. On the way through the crowd to get there, Drake also signed a fan’s copy of his poetry book. The Toronto performer was also paying tribute by wearing the Lakers colors.

Drake and LeBron have continued to stay close for a while. Back in 2018, he appeared on an episode of LeBron’s HBO series, The Shop, where he opened up about his son, Adonis, and the two dads bonded over raising their kids.

A few years later in 2020, Drake went with LeBron to watch Bronny play at his high school basketball game. “My young demons doing numbers,” Drake posted when Bronny’s team won, according to HotNewHipHop.

This makes the fact that LeBron brought his son to Drake’s show all the more special.
