LeBron James’ Iconic “Chosen One” Jersey to Hit Auction Block, Expected to Break Records

Lebron James The King

A jersey worn by LeBron James on the iconic Sports Illustrated cover that labeled him “The Chosen One” is set to be auctioned next month. The Athletic reports that the historic jersey will be featured at a Julien’s Auctions event in Hong Kong. James wore the uniform during a game as a junior at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio, on the same day he shot the cover, which helped cement his status as a basketball prodigy.

Early estimates suggest the jersey could fetch between $1 to $2 million, potentially setting a new record for the highest price ever paid for a game-worn high school jersey. The auction has generated significant buzz among collectors and fans, with many eager to own a piece of sports history tied to one of basketball’s all-time greats.

LeBron James Reveals What Bronny Can’t Call Him On The Court

The 2024-2025 NBA season is going to have several interesting storylines come and go as every new campaign does. However, one that will constantly be in rotation one way or another is the on-court chemistry between LeBron James and Bronny James. They are the newest father/son duo in the league and arguably the most substantial one in quite some time. The Los Angeles Lakers selected the USC guard with the 55th pick in the 2024 draft, so it will be interesting to see how much playing time he gets in the NBA. Bronny did sign a four-year, $7.9 million deal with a team option on the final year of his contract.

Part of those chemistry questions are less serious than others, like what Bronny will be calling LeBron on the court. But nonetheless, we have the answer to that question thanks to Bossip. According to them, the future Hall-of-Famer revealed this information in a preview of the upcoming episode of The Shop. Overall, LeBron wants to keep things as professional as possible, which means that Bronny will not be calling him dad. “[He] cannot call me dad in the workplace. Once we leave out the private facility and the gates close, I could be dad again [and], in the car, if we ride together, at home I could be dad”, the Lakers forward said.

“We cannot be running down the court, and he’d be like, ‘Dad, push the ball up! Dad, I’m open! Dad, come on!’”. So, what can Bronny call his dad while they are at work? In typical Bron fashion, he’s got some hilariously corny answers. “He got to call me like ‘2-3’ or ‘Bron’ or, you know, ‘GOAT’ if he want to. It’s up to him”. With a topic as big as this, you know fans are going to be all over it, and boy have they been. A lot of them came prepared jokes and here are a couple that we had to point out. “”LeDad im open””. ““Aye, Dad swing the rock” would be COMEDY 😭😭😭😭😭”.

What are your thoughts on LeBron James wanting to keep things professional between him and Bronny while at work? Is this a reasonable thing of him to request, why or why not? How do you think his son will do in his first NBA campaign? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding LeBron James and Bronny James. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the sports world.

SOURCE SPORTS: LeBron, Steph, and KD Lead USA to Gold Medal Game in Epic Comeback

LeBron, Steph, and KD Lead USA to Gold Medal Game in Epic Comeback

In a thrilling semifinal, Steph Curry led the USA Men’s Basketball team to a stunning 95-91 comeback victory over Serbia, securing their spot in the Gold Medal Game. Curry delivered an outstanding performance with 36 points and nine 3-pointers, igniting a fourth-quarter rally that saw the USA overturn a 17-point deficit. The United States outscored Serbia 32-15 in the final quarter, ensuring a rematch against France in the Gold Medal Game, echoing the 2021 Tokyo Games clash.

Facing its first loss of the summer and the possibility of contending for the bronze for the first time since 2004, the USA ramped up its defense. MVPs LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, and Curry led the charge to turn the game around. Serbia hit five 3s in each of the first three quarters and entered the fourth shooting 50% from deep. However, in the fourth, they went 0-9 from beyond the arc as the USA tightened its defense.

Down seven with six minutes to play, Embiid went on a personal 7-2 run, including a blocked shot, to keep the USA in the game. After a missed 3 by Serbia, LeBron finished a drive to tie the game at 84-84 with 3:41 left. Curry’s ninth 3-pointer gave the USA an 87-86 lead with 2:24 left. Back-to-back layups by LeBron and Curry pushed the lead to five. Despite a late Serbian push, Curry sealed the game at the free-throw line. LeBron’s triple-double (16 pts, 12 reb, 10 ast) marked the fourth in Olympic history, and he became the first player with multiple Olympic triple-doubles. Serbia’s Nikola Jokic (17 pts, 5 reb, 11 ast) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (20 pts) shone in the loss.

“It was only a matter of time before he had one of these games,” James said of Curry. “We can see it every day. He put too much work in not to have a game like this, and we wouldn’t want it any other way. It was a perfect time for Chef to come out and do what he did.”

The Gold Medal came is set for Saturday afternoon.

Steve Kerr Says He Feels Like an ‘Idiot’ for Not Playing Jayson Tatum in Team USA win

Jayson Tatum Agrees To a 5 Year Max Contract Extension

The Team USA win over Serbia featured plenty of LeBron James and Kevin Durant but none of Jayson Tatum. After the win in the opening game of the tournament, head coach Steve Kerr said he felt like an idiot for not getting Tatum on the court.

“[Jayson Tatum] handled it well. I talked to him today before the game, that it may play out this way just with Kevin coming back,” Kerr said to ESPN. “I felt like an idiot not playing him.”

In a dominant display, LeBron James and Kevin Durant propelled the U.S. Men’s National Team to a 110-84 win over Serbia in their opening group phase game. LeBron, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, and Durant, USA Basketball’s all-time leading scorer, showcased their exceptional talents in this crucial match.

Serbia initially stunned the USA with a quick 10-2 lead, prompting coach Steve Kerr to call a timeout just 2:41 into the game. The tide turned when Durant, who had missed all five preparation games due to a calf strain, entered the game with 2:33 left in the first quarter. Durant’s presence ignited an 18-3 run for the USA, coinciding with Serbia’s Nikola Jokic heading to the bench.

Durant’s first-half performance was flawless, scoring 21 points on 8-for-8 shooting, including 5-for-5 from beyond the arc. LeBron complemented Durant’s efforts, scoring 12 points on 5-for-5 shooting and adding 5 assists and 3 rebounds. The USA led by nine points at halftime.

Durant finished with 23 points, while LeBron added 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists. The USA also saw strong contributions from Jrue Holiday (15 points), Stephen Curry (11 points), and Anthony Edwards (11 points). Despite Jokic’s impressive 20 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals, Serbia struggled, particularly during Jokic’s nine minutes on the bench, where 26 points outscored them.

The group phase continues Wednesday, with the USA facing South Sudan at 3 p.m. ET and Serbia taking on Puerto Rico at 11:15 a.m. ET.

LeBron James Named USA’s Olympics Opening Ceremony Flag Bearer, a First for USA Basketball

LeBron James Named USA's Olympics Opening Ceremony Flag Bearer

LeBron James is adding another honor to his illustrious career: flag bearer for the United States of America at the opening ceremony of the Olympics.

LeBron James will be the first men’s basketball player to be selected as the flag bearer for the nation.

On the verge of a stunning upset by South Sudan LeBron James delivered in the clutch. Rallying from a 16-point deficit, the USA team triumphed 101-100, with James scoring the game-winning basket with 8.0 seconds left.

South Sudan, ranked 33rd in the FIBA world rankings, jumped to an early lead thanks to Marial Shayok’s 24 points and six three-pointers. They were up 58-44 at halftime, while the top-ranked USA team struggled from deep, hitting just 1-of-12 three-pointers.

The Americans responded with a dominant 37-18 third quarter, fueled by a 16-0 run, to take a five-point lead into the final period. Despite maintaining their edge, South Sudan fought back, with JT Thor’s three-pointer giving them a 100-99 lead with 20 seconds remaining.

James then answered with a game-winning layup, and the USA’s defense held strong on South Sudan’s final possession to secure the win. James led the USA with 25 points, supported by Anthony Davis (15 pts, 11 rebounds), Joel Embiid (14 pts, 7 rebounds), Anthony Edwards (11 pts), and Steph Curry (10 pts).

The victory improved the USA’s record to 4-0 in exhibition games this summer. They will conclude their showcase tour in London against Germany on Monday.

South Sudan, led by team president and NBA legend Luol Deng, will continue preparing for their first-ever Olympics, marking a significant rise in African basketball.
