LeBron James Admits Poor Game 5 Performance

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers looked lost in Game 5 with the Memphis Grizzlies. The Lakers had built a ton of confidence after winning three straight in the series. However, the Grizzlies finally answered the bell in their 116-99 victory on Wednesday night. Not a lot went right for the seventh-seeded Lakers. According to James, he is one of the biggest reasons the team failed to wrap up the series. After the game, James discussed with the media how he has to perform better.

James was blunt and honest with his Game 5 performance. “Tonight I was sh*t. And I’ll be better in Game 6.” James finished the game with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. However, James went 5 of 17 from the field. Numbers like that are not going to help the Lakers end the Grizzlies season. James understands this and vows to be better for Game 6 in Los Angeles. The series between the Lakers and Grizzlies has seemed like theater at certain points.

LeBron Vows To Be Better In Game 6

The series began with a Lakers victory. However, the fireworks didn’t begin until the post-game press conference. Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks fired the first shots. Brooks called James old and that he wouldn’t respect him until he scored 40. While James has yet to score 40 in the series. However, he did score 20 and grab 20 rebounds in the Lakers Game 4 win. If you were to ask Shaq, he would tell you that 20 + 20 would equal 40. It seemed like the Lakers were destined to finish the series on Wednesday night. But the Grizzlies had other plans.

However, the Grizzlies proved how they earned the two seed in the Western Conference. The Grizzlies have also had to deal with injuries during this series. Star guard Ja Morant suffered a severe hand injury during Game 2. However, Morant has fought through the pain and helped lead his team in Game 5. This series is far from over. Do you think LeBron James can finish the series in Game 6? Let us know how you think this series will shake out in our comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it right here with HNHH.

Shannon Sharpe Grades LeBron James’ Game 4 Performance

Shannon Sharpe is one of the first names that comes to mind when thinking of those that defend LeBron James’ legacy. Sharpe has long shouted from the rooftops that James is the greatest player to ever play in the NBA. The GOAT debate is a debate that will never find a definite answer. However, James put another great chapter in his legacy on Monday night. The Lakers star led his team to victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 4 of their playoff series. On Tuesday, Sharpe reminded the world of James’ greatness.

James finished the game with 22 points and 20 rebounds. A stat that doesn’t seem possible for James to even reach at this stage in his career. However, James has put the “old” comments to bed in this series. James’ performance had Sharpe almost incoherent when describing the performance. On Tuesday’s edition of Undisputed, Sharpe compared James to the greatest pieces of entertainment fans have ever seen. Sharpe doesn’t believe anyone has or will be on James’ level. Check out Sharpe’s entire comments in the video below.

Shannon Sharpe Praise LeBron’s Recent Performance

However, Sharpe’s co-host Skip Bayless has a different idea of who the greatest NBA player of all time is. Bayless doesn’t believe anyone is on the level of Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan. In the video, you can see Shapre and Bayless become a little playful with one another over the debate. However, Sharpe wasn’t done comparing James to some of the other greatest of all time. This led Bayless to jokingly compare James to a baby in a manger from Bethlehem.

Maybe comparing James to Jesus Christ is a slight exaggeration. But nobody can deny what James’ legacy has done for the NBA. There are only a select few that can be considered in the conversation as the greatest of all time. James continues to rewrite history in his favor of the argument. Now another Finals run would put James in the category of one. Do you agree with Shannon Sharpe that James is the greatest of all time? Please tell us who you believe is the greatest play in NBA history in our comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it right here at HNHH.

Dillon Brooks Refuses To Speak With Media, Twitter Reacts

Dillon Brooks may be wishing he could take back his words on LeBron James. Last week, the Grizzlies forward spoke to the media after a Memphis win with a ton of confidence. Brooks said he wouldn’t respect James until he scored 40 on the Grizzlies. Also, Brooks called one of the best to ever play the game “old.” Since those comments, the Lakers have dominated the Grizzlies in two straight games. On Monday night, The Lakers defeated the Grizzlies in overtime to secure a 3-1 series lead. After the game, Brooks didn’t have time to speak with the media about the game.

When Brooks was asked to speak with the media, he gave them two words “I’m out.” Before Game 4, Brooks told the media he felt that they were creating a villain profile. Something that he felt wasn’t true at all. However, calling a player on the opposing team old and claiming you don’t respect them may do that for you. Brooks has seemingly looked like a different player during the last two games with the Lakers. On Monday, Brooks finished with 11 points in over 40 minutes of play.

Dillon Brooks Visibly Frustrated

The Lakers have been rolling since the comments made by Brooks. Some may even say that James is turning back the clock. James’ Game 4 performance carried the Lakers to their 3-1 series lead. James finished the game with 22 points and 20 rebounds. Including the game-tying bucket that sent the game to overtime. However, the Lakers did have a scary moment with Anthony Davis nursing his hip on the sidelines. But Davis was able to return and be a strong asset for the team.

Prior to the star of Game 4, reports also came out that the Grizzlies were looking t move on from Brooks. According to the report, the Grizzlies have already attempted to move on from Brooks but have been unsuccessful. The Grizzlies are full of young talent, including Brooks. However, a first-round loss to the Lakers will most certainly have the franchise making moves this off-season. Do you believe that Dillon Brooks’ days are numbered in Memphis? LeBron James Makes Dillon Brooks Look Small With Game-Winning Basket: Watch

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers were not looking so good at the beginning of the NBA season. With Russell Westbrook on the roster, the team had absolutely no chemistry. However, they have since added a ton of great pieces that gel well with LeBron and Anthony Davis. Although it is not going to be an easy road as a seventh seed, the Lakers are looking like a team that can upset the Western Conference. Overall, this would be fantastic for the NBA, as LeBron remains the most popular player.

In the first round against the Memphis Grizzlies, there has been a lot of trash talk. This is especially true when it comes to Dillon Brooks. The hated Grizzlies star has called LeBron “old” on numerous occasions. Although, since that time, LeBron James has had his number. Call it karmic justice, but there is no doubt that Brooks probably regrets those comments. That was especially true last night, as the Lakers and Grizzlies found themselves in overtime in Game 4. With a 3-1 series lead on the line with under one minute to play, LeBron scored over Dillon Brooks, ensuring the victory.

LeBron James Gets One Over Dillon Brooks

In the video clip above, it is very clear that Brooks was simply no match for LeBron and his incredible athleticism. Even at the age of 38, James can still notch 22 points and 20 rebounds in a game. It is phenomenal to watch, and we hope to see more of this throughout the playoffs. However, LeBron James and his teammates will need to go to Memphis for Game 5. It will not be an easy match to win, although James and his teammates have been in this spot before. Perhaps the experience will prove to be too much for the Grizz to handle.

No matter what, it is clear that this has been one of the best series of the entire playoffs thus far. It is only going to get better from here on out, especially with both of these teams staring down either the Sacramento Kings or the Golden State Warriors. Let us know who you think is going to end up winning this series, in the comments section below.

Shannon Sharpe Responds To Dillon Brooks’ Latest Comments

Shannon Sharpe has never been one to keep his opinions close to the chest. Shapre’s firey personality has always been of a media personality that wears his heart on his sleeve. One topic that is always going to incite a strong opinion from Sharpe would be LeBron James. Sharpe has long been a supporter of the Los Angeles Lakers star. Including being involved in a dust-up earlier this season with the team, the Lakers are currently playing in the playoffs. The Memphis Grizzlies have been out to prove their successful 2022-23 season isn’t just a one-hit-wonder.

The Grizzlies have a roster full of young talent. However, sometimes that young talent may tend to go overboard. After the team’s Game 2 victory over the Lakers, forward Dillon Brooks had some things to say about James and the Lakers. Brooks didn’t hold back his feelings on the opponent, calling James old. Also, Brooks said he wouldn’t respect James until he dropped 40. James didn’t drop 40, but the Lakers cruised to an easy Game 3 victory over the Grizzlies. Which included seeing Brooks get ejected for hitting James in a private area. After the game, Brooks told the media that he was being portrayed incorrectly by his recent actions. This is where Sharpe has drawn the line.

Shannon Sharpe Believes Brooks Can’t Handle The Heat

On Monday’s edition of Undisputed, Sharpe discussed Brooks’ latest comments. “Dillon Brooks talking about he doesn’t want the villain role, but you EMBRACE it when you win!” The NFL Hall-of-Famer doesn’t believe Brooks can handle what he dishes out when the Grizzlies are on the losing end. The lead-up to Game 3 had everyone in the league buzzing. The day before the matchup, James kept his comments short and sweet with the media. James explained that the time for talk was over and that the game would be a good one. But it may not be a good one for Grizzlies fans.

The Lakers answered the bell with their performance in Game 3. Brooks became a popular meme over the weekend with his visible frustrations on the bench. Including his reactions after being ejected. It seems that the “old” comments have been put to bed. As for Sharpe, he believes that it’s time for Brooks to embrace the villain role. Do you agree with Shannon Sharpe’s comments on Brooks? LeBron James Celebrates Latest Lakers Win In Style

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers weren’t looking too great earlier in the season. Overall, much of the team’s problems had to do with a lack of chemistry. For instance, Russell Westbrook didn’t mesh well with the rest of the team. Although he is now thriving with the Clippers, it is clear that his role with the Lakers didn’t make much sense for him. However, the Lakers are now rolling with their new team. They finished the regular season with the best record since after the All-Star game. Moreover, they are playing the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round and are up 2-1.

The game that gave the Lakers the series lead took place on Saturday. This was just a few days after Dillon Brooks had called LeBron James old, and essentially questioned his skills. On the night of the game, James had a chat with Brooks, and eventually, LeBron got the best of him. Consequently, LeBron and the Lakers are feeling very good about themselves. Game 4 is going to go down in Los Angeles, and there is a very good chance this team winds up heading back to Memphis up 3-1.

LeBron James Is In His Element

Following the game, James took to Instagram with a couple of posts. In the video up above, we simply see some edited footage of LeBron James from the most recent game. “Scratch that you’re in the presence of a… CROWN CROWN CROWN,” he wrote. Needless to say, he is reiterating the fact that he is the King of the NBA. Overall, he has yet to be dethroned, regardless of how some of the young guys try to treat him. Additionally, he posted his pre-game outfit, which certainly turned a few heads.

The road to the NBA Finals will be difficult for the Lakers. If they beat Memphis, they will have to play either the Warriors or the Kings. Both of these teams are extremely talented. However, the Lakers certainly have the pieces to dismantle both, should it all come down to that. Let us know how you think the Lakers will do, in the comments section below.

LeBron James Discusses Dillon Brooks Beef: “It’s Literally Easy”

LeBron James discussed his ongoing beef with Dillon Brooks after the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 3 on Saturday night. In doing so, he remarked that opponents trying to rattle him during a playoff series is nothing new. The remarks come ahead of Game 4 of the series which is scheduled for Sunday night.

Addressing reporters, James commented on a pregame conversation that he had with Brooks. “It wasn’t private because everybody caught it,” James said. “Everybody saw it. There wasn’t anything private about it. It was very, very public. I like it that way. [The Grizzlies] know what they have to do. I know what I have to do. This is not my first rodeo. I had this throughout my career with certain individuals. It’s easy. It’s literally easy.” From there, he checked himself before going further saying, “I don’t want to start this.”

Brooks admitted that he wanted to poke the bear during an interview after the Grizzlies’ Game 2 win. “I don’t care– he’s old. You know what I mean?” Brooks said. “I was waiting for that. I was expecting him to do that Game 4, Game 5. He wanted to say something when I got my fourth foul. He should have been saying that earlier on. But I poke bears. I don’t respect no one until they come and give me 40.”

Lakers forward Rui Hachimura, whose been had a key role for the Lakers thus far in the series, also responded to Brooks’ behavior on Friday. “I heard about it,” Hachimura said. “I’m not really into social media, but I heard about it. Honestly, that’s all they can do. They’re a young team. They just want to talk. We just don’t really care. We’re going to play our game and we’re trying to win the games.”

If the Lakers can pull out the win on Saturday night, they’ll advance to 2-1 in the series with Game 4 scheduled for Sunday in Los Angeles. If successful then, their earliest chance to close out round one would be Game 5 on Wednesday in Memphis.

Gilbert Arenas’ Hot Take On MJ & LeBron Debate

Gilbert Arenas has been making waves recently with his comments on the current NBA product. Recently, Arenas proposed the idea of the NBA playoff format moving to a winner keeps home-court advantage. An interesting thought that the NBA will more likely never discuss. However, the idea would make the meaning of each game that more important. Now Arenas is getting into the most toxic debate in all of sports. That debate being who the greatest basketball player of all time is.

The two names that are brought up more often than not in this debate are Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Whatever side of the aisle that a fan stands on during this debate, they wave their flag passionately for the player they choose. Now Arenas is adding another wrinkle to the debate. The former Wizards star recently mentioned that Jordan wouldn’t be as successful as James has been in this era. “When we’re talking about Ja Morant and the silly sh!t he’s doing, and that’s tarnishing his legacy…You take MJ’s personality, the gambling, all that..F*CK NO”

Gilbert Arenas Believes MJ Couldn’t Last In The Public Eye In This Era

It does seem like Jordan would have a harder time in this era with his personality. With social media posts of every waking moment of everyone’s lives, it would be hard for anyone to live a secret life. One of the biggest proponents of Jordan’s legacy is that he was somewhat mysterious in the 90s. Players’ lives were not followed nearly as closely as they are now. Which is why so many current players have so much respect for James. James has been in the public eye for over two decades, and fans have yet to witness the NBA star be caught in a scandal.

So, Gilbert Arenas’ argument isn’t about the play on the court. However, the way a player carries themselves off the court is just as important in today’s game. But that might be something that James could be a little jealous that Jordan didn’t have to deal with as much. Whatever the case may be, both players have earned their right to be a part of the greatest of all-time discussion. Now it’s time we see your side of the debate. Are you team LeBron or team MJ? Let us know in the comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it right here with HNHH.
