Chlöe Addressed Whether She’s Dating ‘Really Nice Guy’ Quavo On Latto’s ‘777 Radio’

Chlöe caused a stir last week with her role in Swarm, and she’s about to drop her debut solo album, In Pieces, on Friday (March 31). Ahead of the latter, the August 2022 Uproxx cover star served as Latto’s guest for the inaugural episode of 777 Radio on Apple Music, and she gave people even more to talk about — from unfair comparisons to her sister, Halle Bailey, to unfounded (?) rumors about her and Quavo.

“The tea was that you was talking to Quavo,” Latto said in a clip circulated by The Neighborhood Talk.

“Uh oh, well, we doin’ a movie together,” Chlöe playfully responded.

When Latto suggested that the rumors are that Chlöe and Quavo’s relationship might not just be professional, Chlöe said, “I don’t know where that came from.”

“Y’all working,” Latto said.

“Yes. Working. He’s a really nice guy,” Chlöe said.

“I mean, he got dreads,” Latto noted, and Chlöe agreed, “Yeah, I like his locs. I like his locs.”

Chlöe and Quavo are both in the musical comedy Praise This due to hit Peacock on April 7.

According to Collider, Chlöe plays an aspiring musician named Sam “who is driven to achieve success in the music industry at any cost,” but she’s moved to Atlanta by her concerned father (Philip Fornah) and reluctantly joins her cousin’s praise team. Quavo is billed as having “a very prominent feature.”

Watch the trailer below.

Chlöe Denies Fling With Quavo…Sort Of

Latto is the latest Rap star to have her own Apple Music 1 show, and she invited Chlöe for a casual chat. The ladies have been tearing up the charts as hitmaking solo artists, so it was fitting that they caught up about all things music, romance, and gossip. Latto knows all too well what it’s like to answer questions about rumored romances, but she turned the tables when she questioned Chlöe. “The tea was that you was talking to Quavo,” said Latto while on 777 Radio. Chlöe mentioned that they worked on a movie together. Latto replied that the streets weren’t talking about business but pleasure.

This is where viewers believed the ladies were fanning the flames of the gossip. Chlöe and Latto joked about the rumor, but the “Have Mercy” star had yet to deny its truth explicitly. They moved on from the quips, and Chlöe deemed the Migos rapper a “really nice guy.” The ladies also expressed admiration of Quavo’s locs, but that seemed to be where the conversation about a purported relationship ended.

Chlöe & Quavo Are Co-Stars

The clip of the exchange was shared by The Neighborhood Talk, and while it was noted that Chlöe denied the rumors, it wasn’t entirely true. She and Latto joked about it, but there weren’t hard, staunch denials that fans were looking for. Meanwhile, the gossip began after Quavo and Chlöe posted separate images enjoying a beachside vacation. The internet quickly pieced the pictures together and accused the pair of carrying on a secret romance.

However, the duo star in Praise This, an upcoming film also featuring Druski and Tristan “Mack” Wilds. The church youth choir-centered musical movie is slated for arrival in just a few weeks. It comes on the heels of Swarm, Donald Glover’s captivating series on Prime Video. Chlöe stars as the sister to main character Dre, excellently portrayed by Dominique Fishback. Her sex scene with Damson Idris became the talk of social media, but the cast swiftly reacted. They made it clear that it was a work of art for the series and should be treated as such. Still, a naked Chlöe caught everyone’s attention. Check out her exchange with Latto above.

Latto Addresses 21 Savage Dating Rumors In New Song Snippet

Latto Denies

Latto teased a new snippet to an unreleased song on her Instagram, which appeared to address rumors that she is dating 21 Savage after denying it. However, the song, which also addresses her new tattoo may leave room to question otherwise. Updated By: De’Aundre Barnes (3/29/23 at 3:25 pm) Latto posted a snippet of an […]

Chlöe Admitted Being Compared To Her Sister Halle Bailey ‘Really Pisses Me Off’ And Explained Why

Rapper Latto promised a juicy first episode of her new Apple Music show, 777 Radio, and she delivered with special guest Chlöe. The “Body Do” singer has maintained a thick skin when it comes to rumors about her. However, when it comes to fans pitting her and her sister Halle Bailey against each with endless comparisons she’s not having it.

The Swarm actress fired off about the topic when asked by the host in the clip shared with People, saying, “Honestly, it really pisses me off.”

Chlöe continued by adding, “I think out of everything, that’s the thing that gets under my skin the most, when people are comparing us, because we are best friends, we’re sisters. Sometimes we forget that we’re not twins, and it’s like, don’t mess with my blood. Don’t mess with her.”

Before the clip ends, Chlöe explained, “Sometimes I just have to brush it off because people only see what they want to make up, what they want to believe, and it’s like, sometimes I don’t need to give off that energy and waste my time explaining something that I know isn’t true.”

The full first episode of 777 Radio featuring Chlöe will be released tomorrow, March 30, at 11 a.m. PT. New episodes of the series will air biweekly on Thursdays exclusively on Apple Music 1. For more information, click here.

Latto Fuels 21 Savage Dating Rumors On New Snippet: Listen

Latto and 21 Savage appear to have a relationship that’s deeper than music yet the two continuously deny there’s anything romantic between them. However, both Latto and the Savage Mode left a trail of evidence that suggests otherwise. The “Big Energy” star confirmed that she’s in a relationship but denied that the Her Loss rapper is the mystery man. At the same time, 21 Savage also pushed back against claims that he has a “celebrity girlfriend” like Latto. “I’ve been hot for a long time,” he said during a Clubhouse conversation. “I don’t do all the antics and shit. I don’t got a celebrity girlfriend.”

Perhaps, they’re trying to avoid the fanfare of becoming a power couple by coming out to the public. After all, there’s plenty of pressure that comes with the turf. Still, Latto revealed in February a new tattoo that appears to be of 21 Savage’s government name, Shéyaa. As you could expect, Internet sleuths put two-and-two together while Latto continued to deny their relationship publicly. Last month, Latto doubled down that she was not dating 21 Savage.

Latto’s Addresses 21 Savage Tattoo In New Snippet

With a new album seemingly on the way, Latto shared a new snippet to her Instagram page. However, one lyric, in particular, stood out. “If he put you in that Lamb, then you would get the tattoo,” Latto raps, which led many to conclude that she was talking about 21 Savage. Though she didn’t address the rumors directly on Twitter as she’s been doing over the past few months, plenty of folks felt as though it was confirmation of their romance

Though it’s unclear when the single might see the light of day, Latto’s currently gearing up to launch her Apple Music show, 777 Radio. She announced the program earlier this week, which we could imagine will be an outlet where she could address rumors and debut new music. Perhaps, we’ll hear the song in its entirety later this week. For now, it seems like 21 Savage and Latto are fine with people carrying on with their own narrative.  Check out her latest snippet above and sound off with your thoughts in the comments below.

Latto Announces Apple Music Show “777 Radio”

Latto uses Twitter as her main outlet to debunk false stories and address rumors on the Internet but now, she’ll have a new radio show that fans could look forward to. The Atlanta star continues to rise the ranks of the entertainment world, though she’s evidently pivoting towards broadcast. This morning, she took to Instagram where she announced 777 Radio on Apple Music. Latto’s upcoming show will make its debut on Thursday at 11 a.m. PT with special guest Chlöe Bailey, who drops her debut solo album In Pieces on Friday.

The announcement came alongside a short trailer that Apple Music debuted on its social media page. Latto takes on the role of a flight attendant (and passengers) as she announces the arrival of 777 Radio. “Welcome aboard 777 Air,” she says. “Make sure to put the BS on airplane mode and leave all your baggage at home ‘cause we goin’ outside, baby.” The launch of 777 Radio could be a sign that she has a new album coming soon, so hopefully, she’ll debut some new heat this Thursday.

Latto Takes Over The Airwaves

Unfortunately for Latto, everything she does creates some sort of backlash. Just after her apparent back-and-forth with Ice Spice, many fans seemingly felt as though the “Big Energy” was taking cues from Nicki Minaj, who launched Queen Radio on Apple Music. Of course, the comparisons to Nicki began to lead the Latto hate train on Twitter on the heels of their beef. Still, it’ll be interesting to see how Latto’s personality translates onto the radio waves. Perhaps, this might open up more doors down the line, similar to Trina’s transition to radio.

In the midst of divisive opinions, Apple Music’s Karlie Hustle shared revealed that she worked closely with Latto over the past year to bring the show to life. “I’ve been working with Latto and her team on developing this radio show for nearly a year! What a privilege it has been. Such a gracious, friendly, hands-on consummate professional! Comes in prepped and ready. Notices all the details. The moment that mic is hot, she’s on fire,” Hustle’s tweet read. Check out the trailer above and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Latto Launches New Podcast, 777 Radio, Inspired by Nicki Minaj’s Queen Radio

Latto 777

Latto fans have reason to celebrate, as the rising star has just launched her very own podcast called 777 Radio. The show, which is available exclusively on Apple Music, appears to take a page out of Nicki Minaj’s book. In the lead-up to the launch of 777 Radio, Latto posted a promo video to her […]

Latto Announces Her Apple Music Radio Show With A High-Flying Video Teaser And Fans’ Feelings Are Varied

After absolutely dominating 2022 with her Mariah Carey-sampling dance hit “Big Energy,” Latto looks to expand her burgeoning empire in 2023. Her latest move (which looks… familiar) is partnering with Apple Music Radio for her own show, 777 Radio. Latto announced the show’s impending debut with a slick video trailer depicting her as a flight attendant giving an announcement. “Welcome aboard 777 Air,” she says. “Make sure to put the BS on airplane mode and leave all your baggage at home.”

The similarity of concepts between Latto’s show — which has been in development for a year, according to one contributor’s tweet — and another former Apple Music production quickly caught fans’ eyes, leading to a flurry of comments comparing and contrasting the two (if anything, it might explain the roots of their conflict given the timeline). Meanwhile, some others attributed Latto’s flight attendant look to Saweetie’s “Closer” video with HER (which, if those fans were being honest, they kinda let flop. Funny to get angry about it now, especially after they cooked Saweetie for doing the same alleged thing to Rico Nasty just like two years ago).

Still, other fans noted that Lil Kim preceded many of her successors into the radio space, trying to short-circuit the inevitable stan war brewing on the horizon. It didn’t work — when have stans ever been convinced by piddling things like facts? — but you have to appreciate the effort.

The first episode of 777 Radio will debut Thursday, March 30 at 11 AM PT on Apple Music with guest Chloe Bailey — another frequent target of controversy from Stan Twitter. Tune in.
