Kid Cudi’s Thundering ‘Heaven’s Galaxy’ Arrives Via His Collaboration With ‘Star Trek’ For A New Campaign

Kid Cudi’s entire artistic ethos is exploring the world beyond bounds. If aliens were ever to show their faces on Earth, it would be safe to assume the “Guitar In My Room” rapper would be the first human they’d want to chat with. Through his collaboration with Star Trek, Cudi can further explore his obsession with what exists beyond this world. As part of a new installment for the “Boldy Be” campaign, Cudi shared a thunderous new song, “Heaven’s Galaxy.”

Kudi teamed up with his longtime producer and friend Dot Da Genius to revisit the melodic sound he made popular. As Cudi harmonized the stanza, “Through the galaxies, don’t ask why / Take the journey, y’all, you will find / In the darkest times, look for light / See my strength, I’m strong / Ain’t no fear in me / Nevеr say I can’t survive / These worlds through space and time / I’ll see you, no goodbyes / I got hope, and we fly / The sun will always shine / Goin’ high-high-high / These worlds are yours and mine,” you can’t help but think back on his popular tracks like “Enter Galactic.”

Other parts of the partnership include the Star Trek x Kid Cudi: Mirror Mayhem world exclusively accessible in Fortnite and custom-curated merchandise. Yesterday (October 12), the virtual experience was showcased at the 2023 New York Comic Con, which will remain on display until October 15. The collection of tees, crewnecks, hoodies, button-up t-shirts, and leather varsity jackets is also on sale at the convention. But on October 16, the line will be made available online. With each of Cudi’s Star Trek releases, fans’ anticipation for his forthcoming album, Insano, grows.

Kid Cudi & Nigo’s WZRD CWBY Fashion Collab “Coming Soon”

In the world of creative expression, it’s rare to see people sticking exclusively to one lane. Those who start out as an actor may later venture into politics or music. Elsewhere, there’s no shortage of lyricists who we’ve seen dabble in fashion and beauty. The latest star to announce a clothing brand that’s been long in the works is Kid Cudi. He’s joined forces with Japanese superstar Nigo to merge their far-out-thinking minds like never before.

The multi-talented duo first met after Scott Mescudi was hired to work at the BAPE store in New York City. Since then, he’s come a long way in earning Nigo’s respect as a friend and collaborator. On Sunday (October 8), the X actor posted a radian new selfie to his Instagram feed. It markedly gives followers a look at his design skills. “WZRD CWBY. A new brand by Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, in collaboration with @nigo,” Cudi wrote in his caption.

Kid Cudi’s Creative Resume Continues to Expand

Besides that, details are mostly sparse at this time, though the fashion lover did share that the products are being made in Tokyo, and will be “coming soon.” Mescudi has long been a lover of clothing and expressing himself through his outfits. Back in the summer, a London department store launched its Members of Rage brand, which has been described as “90s grunge with the soul of hip hop and elements from a distant future,” as HipHopDX reports.

As one of Kid Cudi’s followers pointed out in the comment section of his post, he promised that 2023 would be a huge year, and he’s certainly delivered. “A movie, an album, a Fortnite collab with a big franchise, a Calvin Klein collab, a shoe collab, and now a new clothing brand,” they wrote. On top of all of that, the “Mr. Rager” artist also announced an intimate concert series earlier this month, which you can read all about at the link below.

Lil Durk And Kid Cudi’s ‘Guitar In My Room’ Video Is A Luminous Look At Rap’s Most Influential Signature Sounds

If hip-hop’s 50th-anniversary celebrations have taught fans of the culture anything, it’s just how expansive the music has been. Rapper Lil Durk and Kid Cudi are two shining examples of the genre’s growth. The two sub-section innovators linked up for a new track titled “Guitar In My Room.”

Both the track and its official accompanying video are spearheaded by Cole Bennett. As the second single off Bennett’s forthcoming compilation album, “Guitar In My Room,” is a luminous look at their duo’s influential signature sounds. To open the record, Durk lets listeners into his bittersweet reality.

“I’m in a room with my guitar, I’m tryna prove that I’m a star / But I hate when we keep distance ’cause it’s a difference with response / Keep it natural the first day, we gon’ watch Tubi in the car / Ask me what’s my motivation, I say, ‘The trenches,’ she say, ‘Why?’ / I was takin’ all prescriptions, them drugs / I wanna ask for your permission, don’t judge / Before you ever get a job, get a gun,” rapped Durk.

Cudi shifts the energy from gloomy to litty when it is his turn on the mic. “Caught you in a dream, I hit you with that sauce / If we aim at the moon, no, baby, we won’t fall / She said she miss that feeling / A real n**** that is so appealin’ / Keep it low, baby, I’m not leavin’ / Soakin’ up your glory days slow / If there’s problems, I’ll solve ’em, no lie / You never had a n**** catchin’ all the signs / It’s time, baby, lost in the lights,” rapped Cudi.

Kid Cudi Tosses Wild First Pitch At Cleveland Guardians Game: Watch

There are a lot of rappers who wish they could be star athletes, and there are some athletes who wish they could be rappers. There have been a ton of examples where both stars from each respective profession could do both. Quavo is a stud on the basketball court, participating in multiple NBA All-Star Celebrity games. On the other side, you have multiple superstars who can flat-out spit bars. NBA point guard Damian Lillard has a couple of projects out right now that are more than listenable. Shaquille O’Neal is also big in the music scene nabbing a recent feature on a recent single with rap duo Coyote. But, Kid Cudi is not one that fits that mold.

Mr. Rager fits into tons of examples of artists flopping in sports. About nine years ago, most of the world witnessed possibly the worst first pitch in MLB history with 50 Cent. However, Cudi might have something to say about holding that title. Just this past weekend (September 22), the native Clevelander was asked to represent his hometown. The singer and rapper was brought onto the baseball diamond to throw out the first pitch for the Cleveland Guardians.

Kid Cudi Maybe Got A Little Nervous

In the video clips above obtained by HipHopDX, you can see in the second one that Cudi threw a solid practice pitch. However, things took a turn for the worse when more eyeballs were on him. Cudi wound up and threw the ball way outside of home plate, but all he could do was laugh and do a little dance afterward. He did not take himself too seriously, responding to fans saying, “I am a NON ATHLETE bro, its all in good fun!! I havent thrown a baseball since mini league as a kid and I wasnt good then too haha.” At least the Guardians would go on to win their game 9-8 against the Baltimore Orioles, so it was not all bad.

What are your initial thoughts on Kid Cudi’s first pitch at the Cleveland Guardians game? Where does his first pitch rank amongst the rest of the rappers’ appearances on the mound? Do you think you could make a pitch to home plate on an MLB field? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. Ill What I Bleed” rapper Kid Cudi can easily explore the fictional intergalactic world of Star Trek, but when it comes to navigating Hollywood, things are a bit trickier. Fans of Cudi believe that his friendship with Wonka actor Timothée Chalamet was one of those industry sticky points.

For weeks, users across TikTok have speculated that the beloved industry bromance had quietly fallen apart after reports that Cudi secretly unfollowed Chalamet. However, on Sunday, September 10, Cudi decided to debunk the rumors once and for all.

When one user on X (formerly Twitter) replied to an old selfie of the duo celebrating New Year’s Day 2021 together, expressing heartbreak at their supposed falling out, Kid seized the moment to issue a loving response.

We are good. Trust me. Idk where this is coming from, but please don’t believe the gossip online y’all,” wrote the entertainer.

Cudi and Chalamet’s friendship began when Chalamet was 17. The pair met after Cudi’s concert in Montreal, Québec, Canada. Since then, Chalamet has expressed appreciation for the mentorship Cudi has given him. During an interview on The Tonight Show in 2019, Chalamet even credited Cudi for his thriving acting career.
