Vanilla Ice Recalls 2Pac Labeling Him “Great” & Admits He Knows “Too Much” About His Death

Vanilla Ice says 2Pac once labeled him “one of the great ones” and that he knows “too much” about his killing. Speaking with VladTV for a new interview, the “Ice Ice Baby” rapper reflected on his friendship with 2Pac.

“He goes, ‘I want you to know, you’re one of the great ones, you’re dope, you’re going to leave your mark, your legacy,’ and this is before it happened,” Ice said. “He knew it, this guy had a crystal ball he saw things bro, and it makes me get goosebumps.”

From there, Ice discussed other shootings that 2Pac was involved in prior to the fatal Las Vegas drive-by in 1996. “How can a guy have all these bullets flying at him and still, you know what I’m saying? It’s a cr*zy story, and I got to really watch what I say on all this because I do know too much,” Ice said. “I’m not going to elaborate fair enough, so I let that unfold, and I’m glad it’s unfolding, and I’m glad that some justice may be getting done, but it ain’t going to bring him back, bro, and we lost a great person because of greed, money, power. We lost a great poet.” Check out Vanilla Ice’s full comments on 2Pac below.

Suge Knight Remembers Slapping Fellow Inmates for Shading Oprah: ‘Don’t Say Nothing About this Black Sister’

i

Suge Knight is not accepting any bad words to be said about Oprah Winfrey. The incarcerated mogul made the reveal on one of the latest episodes of his Breakbeat-backed podcast, Collect Call With Suge Knight.

“I remember back in the day doing time, when people said something bad about Oprah Winfrey. I got in their ass,” Knight said. “You talking about this Black woman. I fried their shit up, slapped the shit out them. ‘Don’t say nothing about this Black sister.’”

You can hear the full episode below.

In the opening episode of his new podcast, Collect Call With Suge Knight, the former Death Row Records mogul saluted the women in the music industry.

“The females got that shit on lock. When you look at the women, they came such a long way and they’re really strong. They’re not in the shadows of a man, they’re leading the way. I think Cardi B is incredible. That’s probably one of the biggest stars in the industry and a great business woman that leads the way.”

Knight would also salute Cardi B saying, “there’s nothing she can’t do and be successful with it” and also celebrated Doja Cat, Summer Walker, Lizzo, and SZA.

Last month, Suge Knight says he will not take the stand against Duane “Keffe D” Davis after the latter was arrested and charged with the murder of Tupac Shakur.

According to TMZ, Knight stated he was surprised but would not testify.

“I’m not gonna get on the stand and testify on somebody,” Knight said. “For what? I wouldn’t go, I wouldn’t testify. None of that shit.”

The charges against Duane “Keffe D” Davis have officially been announced. He is charged with one count of murder with a deadly weapon in the killing of Tupac Shakur.

“There’s been many people who did not believe that the murder of Tupac Shakur was important to this police department,” said Las Vegas Sheriff Kevin McMahill. “I am here to tell you that that was simply not the case.”

According to famed court reporter Meghan Cuniff, Davis’s role is “by directly committing this crime” or aiding and abetting by giving the gun used. Also named in the indictment are his nephew Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson and two other men. All of them are dead.

A press conference on the arrest is available below.

2Pac Murder Suspect Keefe D Allegedly Jumped Multiple Times In Jail

During a recent interview with Bomb1st, Reggie Wright Jr. shared his thoughts on 2Pac murder suspect Duane “Keefe D” Davis’ time behind bars. According to him, it may not be going well for him. Wright previously worked for Suge Knight, and his father was once a gang enforcer at the Los Angeles Sheriff Department’s unit Operation Safe Street. He says he’s heard some chatter about how Keefe D’s faring in jail, revealing that he’s apparently been attacked various times since his October arrest.

“Heard he done got whooped on about three times already in there. And I got that confirmed from a very, very good source,” he explained. “But nothing major. Just, you know, kicked, stomped, hit. Nothing like he gonna get when those dudes in the pen find out how he was saying that they soft. Yeah that audio’s still out there. You better call Vlad and try to get it pulled down.”

Earlier this month, Keefe D pleaded not guilty in the case of 2Pac’s 1996 murder. This followed various delays in his arraignment process. His trial is scheduled to begin on June 3, 2024. He’s due back in court for another hearing at the beginning of next year. Keefe D’s attorneys, Charles Cano and Robert Arroyo, have previously claimed that they plan to seek bail. While many are glad that some justice may finally be served on behalf of the late icon, others don’t believe Keefe D’s arrest has provided much closure. Big Hit spoke on the case with AllHipHop earlier this week, claiming that nothing can make up for what was lost when 2Pac was murdered.

“It’s like, man, he was so great,” he described. “He brought so much to the game. That loss was just bigger than Keefe D … This whole situation, man, that was f*cked up. It was a great loss, man. He can’t be replaced. Nah, this sh*t ain’t going to be no closure. It’s just going to be water under the bridge, sh*t.” What do you think of Reggie Wright Jr. claiming that Keefe D’s gotten “whooped” multiple times in jail already? Surviving Diddy: Cassie’s Abuse Allegations Against Diddy Are Latest In Flood of Shocking Accusations

Cassie Ventura, the singer and former girlfriend of business mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, has recently filed a $30 million lawsuit against him, accusing him of sexual and repeated physical abuse throughout their relationship. The explosive allegations made by Cassie have opened the floodgates for Diddy’s supposed downfall, on the heels of other prominent figures like Aubrey O’Day and Keefe D coming forward with their own damning claims.

Surviving Diddy: Cassie Reveals Her Torture

In court documents, Cassie reveals horrifying details of the abuse she endured for years.  In court reports Cassie, whose legal name is Cassie Ventura, states,  “These beatings were witnessed by Mr. Combs’ staff and employees of Bad Boy Entertainment and Mr. Combs’s related businesses, but no one dared to speak up against their frightening and ferocious boss.”

Furthermore, the court files contain a shocking revelation of how Diddy threatened rapper Kid Cudi, who dated Cassie briefly in 2011.  Diddy told Ventura that he was going to blow up Kid Cudi’s car, and that “he wanted to ensure that Kid Cudi was home with his friends when it happened.” Around that time, Kid Cudi’s car allegedly exploded in his driveway.

Preceding other details in the court files, the R&B singer endured sexual abuse and physical abuse, where Combs often “punched, beat, kicked, and stomped,” on Cassie Ventura. Court documents state that Cassie is a victim of human trafficking, where she was forced to engage in sexual acts with male sex workers, while the encounters were filmed. The documents also reveal that she was introduced to a “lifestyle of excessive alcohol and substance abuse.”

Aubrey O’Day Tried To Warn Others

Aubrey O’Day, a former member of Bad Boy Records girl group Danity Kane, attests to Diddy’s history of abuse.  In a 2019 interview with Variety Magazine, she stated “Puff is a very difficult person to work with,” O’Day says. “Everything had to be perfect. I remember times where he looked at my toenails and was like, ‘What is your third toenail doing? Go get that sh– fixed before you walk into a room.’ Or we would be in rehearsals performing an hour-and-a-half set over and over and he would walk in for five minutes with a camera and say, ‘Aubrey, why are you sweating? You look like a wet dog.’”

O’Day continued, “We were scared to death with what would happen with Puff each day,” she continues. “There was just no room for error. I experienced everything from race [remarks] to sexism and a lot of it was scary.”

In early August, O’Day explained that Diddy relinquished her publishing rights back, and that she was sent an NDA by the mogul, insisting her to never speak poorly of Bad Boy.

Following the news of Diddy and Cassie breaking, Aubrey O’Day took to her Instagram story writing, “Been trynna tell ya’ll for years. Prayers up for this Queen @cassie.” She continued, “One day ya’ll are gonna put some respect on my name when I tell you things. Thank you!”  Another former Danity Kane member, Dawn Richard, encouraged Cassie for coming forward on social media.  She wrote, “praying for Cassie and her family, for peace, and healing. You are beautiful and brave.”

Keefe D Implicates Diddy In Tupac Murder

Keefe D, the alleged accomplice in the murder of Tupac Shakur, has made a confession implicating Diddy in the crime. According to Keefe D, Diddy hired them to carry out the hit on Tupac and Suge Knight, where he stated in the confession, “He’d [Diddy] give us anything for them dudes heads.”

Abuse Allegations In Hollywood

The Cassie vs Diddy allegations are the latest in recent revelations of abuse in the entertainment industry.  Keke Palmer revealed the physical abuse she endured in a two-year relationship with her ex-boyfriend, while Azealia Banks exposes producer Diplo‘s troubling history with young women, including herself.

Big Hit, the father of Hit-Boy, says that Keefe D’s recent arrest offers no closure for Tupac’s death. Speaking with AllHipHop’s Chuck Creekmur, Big Hit discussed the murder case and death of the legendary rapper.

“Sh*t, got to just stick to the code, my n***a,” Big Hit said. “I’m feeling for everybody. It’s a f*cked-up situation on both sides. All else fails, just like anybody knows, just got to stick to the code, my n***a. And just keep your f*cking mouth shut. I don’t give the f*ck what happens.”

Duane “Keffe D” Davis Receives June Trial Date for Murder of Tupac Shakur

Duane 'Keffe D' Davis Charged with One Count of Murder

The trial for Duane “Keffe D” Davis in the murder of Tupac Shakur will begin in Nevada on June 3. Keffe D will also be facing a charge for intent to assist a criminal gang.

Keffe D made a court appearance on Tuesday (Nov. 6), speaking with court-appointed attorneys and entering a plea of not guilty.

According to the AP, Keffe D’s attorneys, Charles Cano and Robert Arroyo, will file documents to secure bail before trial.

Suge Knight says he will not take the stand against Duane “Keffe D” Davis after the latter was arrested and charged with the murder of Tupac Shakur.

According to TMZ, Knight stated he was surprised but would not testify.

When Does Keefe D’s Trial Start? New Details Emerge Around Tupac’s Alleged Killer

It took authorities long enough to take someone into custody for the murder of Tupac Shakur, but now, the ball is finally rolling regarding his murder investigation. Duane Keith “Keefe D” Davis was finally taken in by police as a suspect earlier this year. This sent shock waves through both the hip-hop and true crime communities. Some suggest that the opportunity to catch the 60-year-old was there long ago. Others, such as Boosie Badazz, expressed surprise at the news.

On Tuesday (November 7), Davis was back in court with his new public attorney. The Compton native is reportedly unable to afford a lawyer of his choosing but still seems confident moving forward with a not-guilty plea. Las Vegas Judge Carli Kierney scheduled Keefe D’s trial to begin on June 3, 2024, giving both the prosecution and defence plenty of time to organize their arguments while Tupac’s accused murderer waits out his fate behind bars.

Keefe D and His New Attorney in Court Today

The video above shows a relatively calm scene in Nevada this morning, with Keefe D dressed in his inmate scrubs. His grey beard has grown out to cover most of his neck, and small patches of hair appear to be coming through on his mostly bald head. As VladTV reports, this is likely the last time we’ll see Davis in court until the new year. He’s due back on January 9, 2024, after spending his first Christmas in the slammer.

Keefe D is under a lot of pressure at this time, though he maintains his innocence in the untimely death of Tupac. When it was announced that the alleged killer would be relying on the help of a public defender earlier this month, industry titan 50 Cent couldn’t resist trolling him (and bringing Diddy into the joke at the same time). Read all about that at the link below, and let us know what predictions you have for the outcome of Keefe’s trial next summer in the comments.

50 Cent Trolls Keefe D For Public Defender, Urges Diddy To “Throw A Ni**a A Bone”

50 Cent has long had his foot on Diddy’s neck, and now that serious headway is taking place in Tupac’s murder investigation, the Power producer has found even more reasons to troll his contemporary. Of course, the Bad Boy head hasn’t been in police custody in involvement with the case. However, he did have a long-standing feud with the late legendary rapper that’s caused speculation about his potential involvement over the years. Pac’s brother recently confirmed that Diddy once reached out to him to deny any sort of wrongdoing, but still, the rumours persist.

Amid news that Keefe D – who was arrested this fall – has pleaded not guilty to murdering the “All Eyez On Me” hitmaker, we also found out that he’s struggling to afford a lawyer. As a result, the industry executive now has a public defender, which has left Fif feeling tickled pink. “😆 This shit is so funny to me,” the father of two wrote in the caption of a video edited to look like an intense conversation between Keefe and Sean Combs.

“Keefe D getting ready to go on trial for murder with a public defender. D**n throw a 🥷🏾 a bone or something. LOL,” 50 added. “See, I’ma be alright. I got villas in Brazil, Tahiti,” Diddy says in a clip from Get Him To The Greek. “God d**n,” Pac’s alleged killer replies in a snippet taken from an interview. “Throw a dog a bone or something,” Keefe pleads in the spoof above.

Like any good troll, 50 Cent knows that it’s important to keep your targets diversified, which is why he also throws shade at stars outside the world of hip-hop. Madonna has been feeling the New Yorker’s wrath for the past year, most recently having her BBL be the centre of attention on his IG. 2Pac Murder Suspect Keefe D Can’t Afford A Lawyer

At the end of September, Las Vegas Metro Police arrested Duane “Keefe D” Davis for the murder of 2Pac. He had a court hearing last month, asking a judge for a continuance because his lawyer failed to show up. He’s now listed as having no lawyer, and according to VladTV, it’s because he doesn’t have the funds to hire one.

As a result, the man authorities believe acted as the “shot caller” in 2Pac’s 1996 shooting will use a public defender instead. His arraignment is now scheduled for November 2. The news follows recent reports that prominent Las Vegas attorney Ross Goodman might be representing the alleged former gang member.

At the time, Goodman told KTNV that Keefe D would be pleading not guilty and requesting bail. “I’m not yet hired to review the grand jury transcripts,” he also added. “But the things that jump out, there’s no gun, there’s no car, and there are no witnesses from 27 years ago.”

While only time will tell what’ll happen to Keefe D, recent rumors suggested that he wasn’t faring well behind bars. Luckily for him, it appears that the speculation is unfounded. DJ Vlad took to social media last week to clear up the rumors. “There’s a rumor going around that Keefe D got beat up and stabbed in jail,” he wrote. “I looked into it, and it doesn’t appear to be true.” What do you think of Keefe D reportedly being unable to afford legal representation? Boosie Badazz says that he was “kind of surprised” when authorities arrested Keefe D for the murder of 2Pac. Speaking with VladTV during a new interview, Boosie explained that he was under the impression Keefe D had immunity for the crime.

When asked if he was surprised, Boosie responded: “Kind of, because he’s been talking about it and I thought when he got busted or whatever he had immunity. So, when he got arrested, I was like, immunity must be f*cking gone. I don’t know, I was kind of surprised. I thought he’d never get arrested for it.” Afterward, Vlad explained that Keefe D only got a “proffer agreement” not full immunity.

Boosie Badazz Reflects On Keefe D’s Arrest

2Pac’s sister recently discussed Keefe D’s arrest in a statement, admitting that she won’t feel closure until all legal proceedings are done. “This is no doubt a pivotal moment,” she explained. “The silence of the past 27 years surrounding this case has spoken loudly in our community. It’s important to me that the world, the country, the justice system, and our people acknowledge the gravity of the passing of this man, my brother, my mother’s son, my father’s son.
