Kanye West Explains How He Relates To London After The Death Of Queen Elizabeth

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s split appears to have been tough on the rapper, as the dissolution of their marriage has seen both beef and a desire for reconciliation (from West’s side, at least). Now, West has used his ongoing situation to make an interesting comparison between himself and the UK city of London.

In an Instagram Story shared last night (September 25), Ye wrote in all caps, “London, I know how you feel: I lost my queen, too.”

This comes shortly after West apologized to Kardashian during a Good Morning America/ABC News Live interview, saying, “This is the mother of my children, and I apologize for any stress that I have caused, even in my frustration because God calls me to be stronger. But also, ain’t nobody else needs to be causing no stress either. I need this person to be least stressed and at best sound mind and as calm as possible to be able to raise those children.”

On the topic of world leaders, in that same interview, Ye noted that he “absolutely” plans to run for US president again following his failed 2020 campaign. As for why his first try didn’t work out too well, he said, “That time wasn’t in God’s time.”

Kanye West Joins Playboi Carti On Stage During His Rolling Loud New York Performance

Kanye West made a surprise appearance at Rolling Loud New York this weekend. Last night, Ye joined Playboi Carti during his Rolling Loud set, and the two performed their collaboration, “Off The Grid” from Ye’s Donda album.

Carti and Ye have collaborated and performed together several times. Ye executive produced Carti’s most recent album, Whole Lotta Red, and Carti joined Ye earlier this year for a performance at his Donda 2 album release party.

This past April. Carti spoke with XXL, where he spoke about the creative process behind Whole Lotta Red, and shared how Ye has been a good mentor for him in his career. Carti spoke highly of Ye and credited him, as well as ASAP Rocky for helping elevate his career.

Words can’t describe…that’s my big brother. That’s my friend. I talk to Kanye every day. He’s different and I’m different. I see myself in him a lot and I’m pretty sure he feels the same. I don’t really have too many friends and that’s really one of my friends. I love him. I love ASAP Rocky. What them two guys did for me is… I love them and I appreciate everything.

What Did Kanye West Say On ‘Good Morning America?’

Yesterday (September 22), Kanye West appeared on Good Morning America for an exclusive interview with Linsey Davis. According to an early Twitter teaser of their conversation this week, West would touch on everything, including “Kim Kardashian, fatherhood, social media, fashion, politics, and the Donda Academy.”

After the conversation aired, West did indeed touch on all of those things, with some… interesting responses. When it comes to politics, West notoriously launched a failed attempt to run for president in 2020. When asked if he would consider doing it again, he said “absolutely” but didn’t specify a timeline on when his next campaign would be. “That time wasn’t in God’s time,” West said about his first Presidential attempt.

The rapper also spoke about his “radical” beliefs during the interview.

“When you remove the love and fear of God, you open up the love and fear of everything else,” he said. “And it’s easier to have sheep when people don’t have God. It’s easier to control the people if people are not controlled by God. Because then they can be controlled by how many likes they have or whatever’s happening on their TikTok or how much money or the perception that people have. But we only have one audience here and that audience is God. And He’s watching us at all times. He’s got my back.”

West also noted his “new respect” for his ex-wife Kim Kardashian in the Good Morning America. After frequently targeting Kardashian’s then-boyfriend Pete Davidson via social media after the divorce, the posts were emotionally affecting her and the children as well.

West apologized, saying, “I need this person to be less stressed and of the best, sound mind and as calm as possible to be able to raise those children at the end of the day.”

Still, tensions between Kardashian and West didn’t stop with Davidson. West had been frequently critical about her decision to share and let their children use TikTok and other social media platforms. He seems to still be adamant on that part of how they should be raised. “As a dad and as a Christian. And I have a right to have a voice on what my kids are wearing, what they’re watching, what they’re eating,” he said.

“I have a platform where I get to say what so many dads can’t say out loud,” West continued. “I’m their dad. It has to be co-parenting. It’s not up to only the woman. Like, men have a choice also. Men’s voices matter.”

This also led to the topic of West recently opening the Donda Academy school. Originally named the Yeezy Christian Academy (but eventually renamed to honor West’s late mother), the Simi Valley school’s website lists their mission is to “learn fundamentals, grow in their faith, and experience two enrichment classes.”

West notes the Donda Academy is in its third year of classes. However, earlier this month, Rolling Stone published a deeper dive into how the school operates, including $15,000 for tuition and required NDA’s for parents.

Kanye Apologizes To Kim Kardashian For His Behavior Throughout Their Divorce

Kim Kardashian Officially Files For Divorce From Kanye West

Kanye might’ve just given us the calmest interview of his career.

In a new interview with Good Morning America, Kanye opened up about his struggles going through a divorce with Kim Kardashian, and apologized to his ex-wife for his behavior during their divorce, saying that she’s the mother of their children and needs to be the “least stressed.”

“This is the mother of my children and I apologize for any stress that I have caused even in my frustration because God calls me to be stronger, but also ain’t nobody else finna be causing no stress either,” Kanye said “I need this person to be the least stressed and the best sound mind and as calm as possible to be able to raise those children.”

Ye also opened up about his co-parenting struggles, saying that he initially felt as if he did not have a voice in his children’s lives.

“I do have a voice but I had to fight for it,” Ye said. “That hurts you when you have to like scream about what your kids are wearing, and it’s just little nuances where there was a parallel to what was happening at Gap, what was happening at Adidas and what was happening at my home.”

“It was all kind of a disregard for the voice of something that I co-created. I co-created the children, I co-created the product at Adidas I co-created the product at Gap. There’s a parallel, and the parallel does touch on discrimination.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the interviewer, Linsey Davis, brought up Kanye’s infamous interview with Sway where he screamed at the radio host “You ain’t got the answers Sway!” At the time, Sway was trying to tell Kanye that he could branch out without the help of major corporations and go about his business ventures independently. Almost a decade later, and Ye is finally taking Sway’s advice. In response to Davis, Kanye said: “You know what? I will go ahead and say, ‘Sway had the answer. I know people are gonna be like, ‘no!’”

It Took Nearly A Decade, But Kanye West Finally Admitted That Sway Actually ‘Had The Answer’

In 2013, Kanye West infamously launched a longstanding meme during an interview with Shade 45 radio host Sway Calloway when he exploded on the host after being questioned about his fashion ambitions. “You don’t have the answers!” he roared when Sway suggested that he produce his Yeezy clothing line independently. But today, it appears he’s changed his tune after dealing with protracted disputes with apparel manufacturing partners Adidas and Gap for the better part of the summer — and really, almost since the start of those partnerships.

In a new interview with ABC News excerpted on Good Morning America, Kanye admits, “You know what? I will go ahead and say Sway had the answer,” grinning sheepishly. “I know people on Twitter are gonna be like, ‘No!’”

Kanye declared his plans to go it alone after sending notice of intent to cut his deal with Gap short earlier this month. The deal, which was to run through to 2030, became unsatisfactory to him when he alleges the company did not follow through on its end, which he says included plans to build brick-and-mortar Yeezy stores and make his designs available in its own stores by 2021. Over the past month, he’s expressed his dissatisfaction with both Gap and Adidas in a series of needling posts on Instagram, including sharing a draft from his legal team summarizing the details of his licensing deals with both companies.

As Kanye (and Sway) are likely sure to learn soon, producing at the scale that Kanye foresees for himself isn’t quite as easy without a global partnership; perhaps, in a few years, a more humble Ye will also admit that he didn’t really have the answers either.

Ye Admits to Being Wrong on Good Morning America: ‘Sway Had the Answers’

Ye Admits to Being Wrong on Good Morning America: 'Sway Had the Answers'

Kanye West is continuing his media rounds during his fight with apparel giants adidas and Gap. Appearing on Good Morning America, Ye was questioned about his business dealings by journalist Linsey Davis, who brought up the near 10-year-old clip in which radio legend Sway questioned his desire to seek corporate partners instead of going direct to consumer.

“Why don’t you empower yourself and don’t need them and do it yourself,” Sway asked. Kanye famously replied, “You ain’t got the answers, Sway.”

Davis brought up that moment in conversation with Ye, “Was he right?”

Kanye replied, “You know what, I will go ahead and say Sway had the answer. I know people are going to be like ‘no!’”

Elsewhere in the club, Kanye spoke about working on his co-parenting relationship with Kim Kardashian, his DONDA Academy, and eventually running for president again. Speaking on his past run, Ye said, “That time wasn’t in God’s time.”

Kanye West ‘Absolutely’ Plans To Run For President Again After His Failed 2020 Campaign

Back in 2020, Kanye West ran for president. That did not go well — he suspects the ill-fated run may have cost him his marriage to Kim Kardashian — and shortly after announcing his candidacy, he reckoned he might try again in 2024 instead. Now, Ye has revisited that topic in a new Good Morning America interview this morning (September 22). (The full conversation is set to air later today on ABC News Live and Nightline.)

During the conversation, he said he “absolutely” plans to take another stab at running for president, although he didn’t specify when that will happen. As for why his previous campaign didn’t work out how he had hoped, West said, “That time wasn’t in God’s time.”

Speaking of religion, Ye also called himself a “radical” for wanting to promote “the idea of family, the idea of God, the idea of protecting your children’s innocence for as long as possible.” He continued:

“When you remove the love and fear of God, you open up the love and fear of everything else. And it’s easier to have sheep when people don’t have God. It’s easier to control the people if people are not controlled by God. Because then they can be controlled by how many likes they have or whatever’s happening on their TikTok or how much money or the perception that people have. But we only have one audience here and that audience is God. And He’s watching us at all times. He’s got my back.”
