For years, Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, has been entangled in a seemingly never ending feud with Drake. At one point, the pair appeared to put their differences aside. However, after Drake sampled Ye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian on his track “Search & Rescue” the temporary truce was voided.
Yesterday (April 20), Ye dropped by The Download hosted by Justin Laboy to premiere his guest verse on “Like That.” On the song, Ye took aim at the deal Drake signed with Universal Music Group in 2022, rapping, “You caught a little bag for your masters, didn’t ya? / Lifetime deal, I feel bad for n****s.”

Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian, and Kanye West have had their problems in the past. The Swift and Kanye feud dates all the way back to the VMAs, 15 years ago. Furthermore, this feud extended to Kim Kardashian thanks to the infamous “Famous” verse and subsequent leaked phone call. Since that time, it has become clear that the whole thing left a sour taste in Taylor’s mouth. Although, for the most part, she has stayed quiet on it. Now, however, it seems as though she is making her feelings known with some subliminals on a new track.
Today, Swift dropped off The Tortured Poets Department. On top of these 16 tracks, she delivered 15 new songs in the form of The Anthology. On this deluxe version, there is a track called “thanK you aIMee.” Fans immediately clocked the fact that the capitalized letter spell Kim. While this might just be a coincidence, there are numerous lyrics that could be interpreted as about Kardashian. ““All that time you were throwing punches, I was building something / And I can’t forgive the way you made me feel / Screamed ‘F*ck you, Aimee’ to the night sky, as the blood was gushin’ / But I can’t forget the way you made me heal,” she sings.
Moreover, there are lyrics towards the end of the song in which Swift acknowledges she has changed the name of the person she is talking about in the song. She also alludes to the person’s kids singing her songs not knowing they are about them. Uproxx noted that this could very well be a North West reference as North has sung Taylor’s songs on social media before. Ultimately, this all seems very petty, especially given how big of an artist Taylor has become. That said, beef seems to be on the menu these days, and pop stars are not exempt from wanting a taste.

Kanye West and wife Bianca Censori apparently had a troubling run-in recently that now involves law enforcement, as West reportedly punched a man who got physical with Censori.
Citing “law enforcement sources,” TMZ reports the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating after being told West punched a man in the face on April 16, after the man had allegedly “pushed or grabbed” Censori. Police reportedly plan to reach out to West and speak to witnesses.
TMZ later reported that a representative for West told them, “‘Grabbed’ is grossly inadequate as a description of what happened. Bianca was physically assaulted. The assailant didn’t merely collide into her. He put his hands under her dress, directly on her body, he grabbed her waist, he spun her around, and then he blew her kisses. She was battered and sexually assaulted.”
West, meanwhile, is currently facing a lawsuit related to Donda Academy. The suit makes some odd and serious allegations, including that West “treated the Black staff considerably worse than white employees” and would “scream and berate Black employees, while never even as much raising his tone at the white staff.” He also reportedly claimed that “gay people are controlled by Bill Gates so that they don’t have children for population control.”
Kanye West can’t seem to stay away from controversy. The Chicago rapper has been named the prime suspect in a battery case involving a Los Angeles man. According to TMZ, West punched the man in the face after he pushed and/or shoved West’s wife, Bianca Censori. The couple fled the scene afterwards, and will be questioned by the police alongside several key witnesses. The altercation reportedly took place on Tuesday, April 16.
TMZ confirms that the man in question did not have to receive medical treatment for his injuries. This is not the first time that Kanye West has been connected to battery charges. He was sued for assault and battery in January after a fan asked for an autograph on the street. The “Carnival” rapper allegedly said he was going to make a “f**king example” out of the fan, and struck him several times. The fan claimed he was “severely injured” as a result.
West was hit with battery charges the same exact month, when he got into an altercation with an LA photographer. The rapper accused the woman of following him and proceeded to snatch her cell phone from her hand before throwing it into the street.
Kanye West Was Also Criticized For His Disneyland Visit

West’s latest battery case comes hot on the heels of his controversial Disneyland visit. The rapper went to the “Happiest Place on Earth” with his wife on April 16, but Censori’s wardrobe let to outcry from fans. Censori wore bandages on her feet instead of shoes as the duo traversed through the amusement park with their entourage. The bandages were technically in compliance with Disneyland’s dress code, which prohibits bare feet, but fans online were still puzzled. West and Censori have drawn repeated criticisms for their fashion choices, with some blaming the former’s “controlling” nature.
West has repeatedly deflected criticisms of his public behavior. In February, the rapper hopped on Instagram Live to talk about his relationship with Censori. “Ima post my wife as much as I want bro,” he told viewers. “It makes me happy. Some people don’t want you to be happy, they want you to make them happy I decided to make myself happy and I’m happy with that.”
West’s team has not released a statement regarding the battery case.
When an outfit of Bianca Censori’s goes viral, it’s typically because of how little of her curvaceous body it leaves to the imagination. To be clear: As far as we can gather from publicly available information, Kanye West does not wear diapers. That hasn’t stopped Jack Antonoff from jokingly making that assertion about Ye, though. He did so in a Los Angeles Times interview from February, and he did so again yesterday (April 16) on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
The discourse started when Kimmel rattled off a list of some of Antonoff’s collaborators, all of whom were women. He jokingly asked what Antonoff has against men, and then more seriously wondered if there’s something that makes him more inclined to work with female artists over male ones.

By the way — and Jimmy, you might like this because I know that you have your own relationship with the right and how you interact with them, and you’re much closer to how I see these things than other people. I don’t like going to people and, ‘You do this, you do this, blah blah blah,’ because that’s what they want, you know, this sort of type of over-sensitive man. So I just do more of this, like… like if I saw Kanye, I would run up to him and be like, ‘The diaper… your diaper is so full, we have to change your diaper. Your diaper needs to be changed, there’s a huge problem.’”
He then compared that mindset to Kimmel’s famously antagonistic approach to Donald Trump and his supporters, assessing that, like Kimmel, he prefers to “up the trolling” instead of being “overly offended.”

Ludcaris’ Illuminati allegations didn’t really receive much attention back in the day. However, following Katt Williams’ jaw-dropping session on Club Shay Shay, things took a bit of a turn. Williams claimed that he and Luda were invited to Illuminati events at some point in time. He alleged that Luda’s successful film career is a result of his allegiance to the secret society. Evidently, Ludacris didn’t take the allegations lightly.
In a freestyle video, the rapper made it known why he remains a rap legend despite his pivot into film. Ditching her summery, girl-next-door aesthetic for a dark and edgy look brought a great amount of success for Rih. In the same vein, it also welcomed whispers about her membership into the secret society. Particularly, onlookers believed that the music video for her smash hit “Umbrella” served as an initiation. However, Rihanna’s never been bothered with these rumors, and is still living her best life to this day.
He may not be at the forefront of the music scene anymore, but Soulja Boy’s impact is still felt today. His relevancy continues to grow, which has led some to wonder why he’s still swimming in success. In April 2023, the rapper and mogul finally addressed the claims while on an Instagram Live session. Soulja Boy not only refuted the claims, but awarded all his success to God.
“When I first got in the rap game, a lot of people like, ‘Soulja Boy [is in the] Illuminati,” he began. “Soulja Boy joined the Illuminati, that’s how he got his money, that’s how he got famous, that’s how he got rich. But guess what? All I ever did was pray to God, and stayed in the studio and stayed down until I made it, until I got on.”
Lil Nas X is one of the newer crop of artists that have been tied to the Illuminati by the public. However, the happy-go-lucky artist has poked fun at the claims on numerous occasions. With satanic symbolism, targeted jokes about the religious, and claiming he would quit the Illuminati if he didn’t win a Grammy, it seems he doesn’t mind igniting a few flames. Nonetheless, his musical breakthrough came at a time when Illuminati claims were met with mostly shrugs from the general public. Therefore, his imagery and commentary are more often than not, linked to his personality.

Amid Ye’s highly publicized rift with another music industry legend, Jay-Z, the two were spotted at Diddy’s extravagant birthday bash. Ye and Jay-Z seemed to squash their beef during the event, at least temporarily. Similarly, Ye was seen taking pictures with Diddy as the two chatted during the event. June 2022: Ye Presents The BET Lifetime Achievement Award To Diddy
Ye made a surprise attendance at the 2022 BET Awards to present the Lifetime Achievement Award to Diddy. His kind words of praise for Combs showed that the two were still on good terms at the time and had mutual respect. During Ye’s speech, he asked, “How do we crown our kings? How do we appreciate our kings?” He also added that he “goes to [Diddy] for advice to this day” and that Diddy “inspired so many of my life choices, my wife’s choices” (referring to his then-wife, Kim Kardashian).
He ended his speech by saying, “This man has been through and survived a lot of stuff and broke down a lot of doors so we can be standing. He also added, “He broke down so many doors of classism, taste, culture, swag. Puff, if I never told you, I love you. You’re my brother.” The heartfelt moment was capped with a hug shared between Ye and Diddy.
October 5, 2022: White Lives Matter Shirt Beef
Only a few months after their emotional embrace on the BET stage, Diddy spoke about Kanye following the rapper’s controversial “White Lives Matter” shirt. In an interview on The Breakfast Club, he seemed to defend Ye’s actions. Diddy referred to Kanye as a “free thinker.” Furthermore, he maintained that many of the things Ye says and does are “misconstrued.”
When he was accused by Charlamagne The God of defending Ye, Diddy insisted that he wasn’t. Instead, he clarified his stance by explaining where he felt Ye was coming from. He concluded by saying that Ye didn’t need to be condemned or canceled, but rather, he should take accountability for his actions. A few days later, Diddy shared a video on his Instagram, addressing the White Lives Matter shirt once again. In the video, he said, “I’ll always support my brother Kanye as a freethinker, but the ‘white lives matter’ shirt, I don’t rock with it.”

Ye didn’t take so kindly to Diddy’s statements about his shirt, both in public and private. As a result, he responded with a series of Instagram posts. They included screenshots of texts between him and Diddy where things got a bit heated. Diddy asked for Ye to meet him in person, saying, “Let’s stop playing these internet games.” However, Ye responded with hostility, saying he would use Diddy as “an example to show the Jewish people that told [Diddy] to call me that no one can threaten or influence me,” also adding that “this is a war.”
When Diddy stated that he was just trying to speak to Ye as a Black man because his actions were hurting the culture, Ye stated that he would be posting anything that Diddy said. He doubled down on his actions, saying, “I’m selling these tees. Nobody gets in between me and my money,” alongside other aggravated comments. He later deleted all the posts as he is known to do, but it seems the two never reconciled from the beef.
Just a week after their public feud began, Ye was interviewed on an episode of Drink Champs, where he had a lot to say about many rappers in the industry. Naming Diddy, alongside Meek Mill and others, Ye called them feds. He also claimed they turned on him to save themselves from serving time. The interview was later taken down for Kanye’s racist and antisemitic comments. Nonetheless, it began to resurface in 2024 following the FBI raid on Diddy’s homes.
The most recent public encounter between the two music juggernauts happened at Rolling Loud in Los Angeles. The two had seemingly not reconciled since butting heads in 2022, and Ye’s treatment of Diddy at Rolling Loud was proof of that. Diddy was seen watching Ye’s Rolling Loud set with his son Justin Combs. Rumor had it that he planned on speaking with Ye privately after the set. However, Complex reported that Kanye allegedly curved Diddy, declining to speak with him and leaving without saying a word to the rapper.
Danny Brown’s podcast has become one of the must-stop places for rappers to appear. Brown himself is a hilarious host with opinions on nearly every subject you can imagine and a seemingly endless well of wild stories from both his time in the music industry and before. His most recent guest was ScHoolboy Q. Q recently dropped his new album Blue Lips, his first new project in 5 years since 2019’s CrasH Talk. During the podcast, they touched on a variety of subjects, including the way that sampling and interpolation can affect songwriting credits.
In particular, he discussed his 2013 single “Dip.” The song currently sits with over 16 million streams on Spotify, but Danny hasn’t seen much of the payout from that. “With ‘Dip,’ JAY-Z and Kanye killed my ass. They own that whole muthaf*cka. And that’s one of my biggest songs. I don’t get shit from that muthaf*cka!” The song contains an interpolation of Ye and Jay-Z’s “N*ggas In Paris” and the pair received songwriting credits on the song as a result. “I’ll never use a n*gga hook again, man. I learned my lesson, man. Skylar be mad at me to this day, like, ‘Yeah, that was one of the biggest ones, man. We f*cked up.’ Because you know, he made that beat.
