It also marked their first with the Brooklyn spitter. “Top Notch” was the start of a new era for Miami and JT, who appeared on the drill-infused beat with intense attitude as they warn their haters to steer clear. Though the single didn’t reach much commercial success, fans of the women praised the two for their versatility.

“Twerk” ft. Cardi B (2018)

Contestably in City Girls’ Top 5, “Twerk” grew to become their second-highest charting song on the Billboard Hot 100. The sexual innuendos on the “Choppa Style”-sampled hit were celebrated by wxmen galore during their inaugural City Girl summer. After Yung Miami raps, Cardi B reflects on nights as a dancer in her verse, with an extra assist in the NSFW music video. If it’s one that JT does not play about, it’s her relationship with Hip-Hop rock star Lil Uzi Vert. Recently, since Uzi has been branching it with his new alter ego “Leslie,” JT has had to check a couple of social media users. The pair are a modern Bonnie and Clyde (minus the dying part). They’re each other’s ride or die to the fullest. Whether they’re spoiling each other with lavish luxuries or defending each other from menacing keyboard warriors, they got each other’s back.

In other news, JT recently posted a video of her turning up to Young Dolph (R.I.P) with none other than her driver yesterday morning. The footage has gone viral. Reportedly, the video shows JT in the backseat of an assumed rideshare vehicle. However, this isn’t your everyday driver. The car is draped in lights akin to club lighting. The driver, an older gentleman, is spittin’ bars from Young Dolphs breakout single, “Preach.”

It’s City Girls season. It’s been a minute since the Florida-based duo shared new music, though they’ve previously promised that more heat will be on the way this summer. During their set at Rolling Loud California, they teased a single called “Piñata.” Now that Yung Miami has confirmed her split from Diddy, we’re sure that even more fire bars are on the way from our favourite female partners in rhyme. Aside from fans begging JT and Caresha to drop something, they’ve also had plenty to say about their style as of late – particularly the formers.

Not only was the “Ex For A Reason” collaborator recently compared to the Bride of Chucky for leaning into a more gothic look, but now she’s also facing criticism for wearing her mugshots on a hoodie. In a photo reposted on @theshaderoom, JT wears a dark sweater with at least eight photos of her in jail plastered across the front. Many of them see her smirking for the camera, while others – notably as she got older – look far more serious.

JT is best known for the bars she’s created as one-half of City Girls, but the Florida native certainly knows how to run her mouth outside of the studio too. Earlier this week, she found herself in the midst of some nasty internet drama after comparing a baby to Memphis rapper Finesse2tymes, calling both of them “ugly” in response to an internet troll hating on her partner, Lil Uzi Vert. “Ugly baby and dead father 😿,” she wrote. “That baby looks like Finesse 2 x’s. Please leave me alone. I’m not bothering no one 🙂 ❤.”

Following that, the “Twerkulator” hitmaker headed over to Twitter to share some thoughts. “I’m the most unproblematic person ever,” her rant began. “Idgaf ’bout nothing, but if I find time to throw a shot back I will. Nothing personal all love.” In another post, JT went on to say, “[People] will constantly pick on you and call you upset when you respond. I’m not mad, have no reason to be mad! Yung Miami Gives Update On New City Girls Album

Yung Miami needs zero help making headlines. However, it’s not her hit talk show Caresha Please that has fans raving. Although her talk show has made for many memorable moments. From talks of golden showers from music moguls to light-hearted chats with Meaghan The Stallion, it’s easy to see how Yung Miami can’t stay out of the headlines. This time around the one half of City Girls has come out in an interview with The Cut discussing things fans have been dying to know. In the interview Yung Miami confirmed that the album would be dropping this summer, but kept the exact release date on the hush-hush.

When asked about the album’s release, Miami responded in classic City Girls fashion, “I don’t know like, it’s coming and it will sometime this summer-for real, for real, for real.” She continued, “When you’re doing a project, takes time. We’re trying to sit through it and make sure that’s what we want to put out. It’s gonna hit different.” Not only that she initially cleared that air confirming that her relationship with Diddy has ended along with clarifying her “golden shower” comments that had “Pee Diddy” trending on the internet. Yung Miami told the publication that she never said Diddy was the one she did it with but mentioned that sex is a part of life. City Girls Make Headlines With Awkward Dreamville Festival Interview: Video

JT and Yung Miami, best known to the world as the City Girls, have come a long way since their humble beginnings in 2017. In 2023 so far, they’ve already performed at Rolling Loud California (where they previewed an upcoming release called “Piñata”), as well as this past weekend’s Dreamville Festival. Not only did the girls join Usher on stage during his headlining set to rap “Good Love,” but they also showed out during a performance of their own, which heard them revisit plenty of fan favourites from their discography.

During the show, the City Girls wore matching brown leather looks, complete with sultry thigh-high boots and flashy silver chains. For her glam, Caresha wore her long black hair in waves down to her booty. JT’s short, chocolate brown locks were in soft, shoulder-length curls. Following the concert, the partners in rhyme sat down for an interview, though the cameras caught Lil Uzi Vert’s girlfriend in a world of her own as the media personalities asked them questions.
