Lil Baby and Drake Album Loading? “Yes Indeed” Collaborators Rumored to be in the Lab

Is a Lil Baby and Drake Project In The Works? | The Source

Lil Baby and Drake doing a whole project together? Yes please!

Lil Baby blessed the stage at Rolling Loud this past weekend in Los Angeles, and one song fans can always look forward to hearing is “Yes Indeed.” Serving as Baby’s first collaboration with Drake back in 2018, the song immediately went viral as everyone recited the line: “wah wah wah, b*tch I’m the Baby!”

The dynamic duo has since released even more bangers, including “Girls Want Girls,” “Never Recover,” and “Wants and Needs.”

Now, it appears the two may have a joint project in the works — per Black Coffee, a producer who worked on Drake’s 2022 album titled Honestly, Nevermind. The South African DJ recently went on MacG’s Podcast and Chill to unveil the exciting news, which stems from a conversation he had with Coach K from Quality Control.

Black Coffee states, “He had said to me Lil Baby and Drake are making an album. It’s possible Drake is retiring, I’m like ‘whatever’.”

This seems like a very possible collaboration, given Drake’s last project was a collaborative effort with 21 Savage called Her Loss. The tape debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, as “Rich Flex” immediately became a viral sensation.

Beyond that, Lil Baby was even recording new music at Drake’s mansion in Toronto just last year in May. During a livestream, Drake informed the viewers that Lil Baby was putting in work in The Embassy.”

“By the way, my brother Lil Baby is in the studio right now,” Drake stated. “He’s cooking up. We’re working.”

Soon after, Drake said he wanted to stop the studio session to get Baby so they could gamble together.

If this album does come into fruition, this will be the third Atlanta rapper Drake has done a project with, following 21 Savage as well as Future on 2015’s What A Time To Be Alive

Drake May Be Adding A Joint Album With Lil Baby To His Growing List Of Atlanta Collaborations

Drake and 21 Savage’s surprise album Her Loss was a rousing success last year and a worthy follow-up to his previous joint project with an Atlanta trap rapper, 2015’s What A Time To Be Alive with Future. And while a sequel to What A Time has apparently been in the works since before the COVID-19 pandemic, it looks like Drake’s next ATL team-up will be with a different rapper with whom he’s shown great chemistry: Lil Baby.

That’s right: Drake and Lil Baby have reportedly been working on a joint album, according to Drake’s Honestly, Nevermind collaborator Black Coffee. The South African DJ recently noted that Quality Control’s Coach K told him about the project during an interview, saying, “He had said to me Lil Baby and Drake are making an album” (Lil Baby is signed to the Atlanta-based label). He also noted that “it’s possible Drake is retiring,” which does echo a sentiment Drake himself shared with another QC artist, Lil Yachty.

If Drake and Lil Baby really are working on a joint project together, it’ll be an appropriate way to tie off a trilogy of projects with Atlanta trap rappers whose careers he helped immensely, and the culmination of his and Baby’s growing chemistry. In 2018, Drake helped supercharge the ATLien’s rise to stardom his feature on “Yes Indeed,” leading to a string of similar collaborations like “Staying Alive” and “Wants And Needs” from Scary Hours 2. In fact, Baby was supposed to appear on “Toosie Slide” as well, but Baby was busy with other commitments at the time.

Hopefully, he’ll be able to stay on tast this time around and help deliver what’ll almost certainly be a fan-favorite project in the vein of both rappers’ beloved joint projects (Lil Baby previously worked with Gunna on Drip Too Hard). Fingers crossed, folks. You can watch Black Coffee’s full Podcast And Chill interview above.

Drake & Lil Baby Are Working On Joint Project: Report

We could be nearing the end of the Drake era. The rapper recently revealed that he’s allowed the idea of a “graceful exit” to fester in his mind before bowing out of the rap game for good. “I’m at the point now where I just want to, like, and I feel like maybe we talked about this the other day, but I feel like I’m kind of introducing the concept in my mind of a graceful exit,” he told Yachty during Moody Conversations. In the past 14 years since the release of So Far Gone, Drake became a cultural behemoth with a grip on the Billboard charts, unlike any other artist who came before him.

It seems as though we might end up getting at least one more album out of him before he decides to call it quits. In November, he joined forces with 21 Savage for his latest body of work, Her Loss, which closed out a trilogy that began with Certified Lover Boy and followed by Honestly, Nevermind. Though he hasn’t indicated what his next project would be, he did confirm that he will likely release more new music later this year.

Drake x Lil Baby?

Perhaps, the next addition to Drake’s catalog could be a new collaborative effort with Lil Baby. The two rappers developed a strong rapport over the years with the Canadian star previously inviting Baby to his home to record new music last year. However, Baby didn’t appear on Her Loss, so many assume that he was cooking up music for It’s Only Me. Turns out, he may have been working on a new joint project with Drizzy.

Black Coffee, the South African DJ who helped produce Honestly, Nevermind, recently sat down for an interview with MacG where he seemingly spilled the beans about Baby and Drake’s joint effort. Detailing a conversation with Coach K of Quality Control, he said, “He had said to me Lil Baby and Drake are making an album. It’s possible Drake is retiring.” Though Drake nor Baby have confirmed whether there’s any truth to Black Coffee’s claims, we’re hoping that they come through with new heat for the summer. Jonathan Majors Just Laughed After Michael B. Jordan Named Drake The Best Rapper Of All Time

Ask ten people who the best rapper of all time is and it’s possible you’ll get ten different opinions. It’s a question that’s been pondered and debated for decades, and one that has only subjective answers. Still, Jonathan Majors couldn’t help but be taken aback by Creed III co-star Michael B. Jordan’s take on the conversation.

On a new episode of Complex’s “GOAT Talk” series, the question of who the best rapper ever is came up. Both actors hesitated and contemplated the tough question, with Majors saying it’s between Jay-Z and Tupac. Eventually, Jordan worked up the courage to declare, “Drake, fight me.”

Majors was shocked, as he burst out into boisterous laughter after responding, “You said Drake?!” Jordan continued, “Jay-Z, Drake? Yeah, it’s tough! It’s tough!” After some more discussion (in which Majors made Jay-Z his final pick), Jordan elaborated, “This is what it is: to have an artist, rapper to rap about things I’ve been through, situations that I can relate to the most… literally, like it literally, [I listen to his music and I think], ‘Oh, I’ve been through that. Oh, I’ve thought that.’ So how it relates consistently, I gotta go there.”

The conversation wrapped up with Majors concluding that he picks Jay-Z for similar reasons.

Michael B. Jordan Explains Why Drake Is His Goat Over Jay-Z & Tupac

It’s official: Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut is a megahit. The acclaimed actor has been assisting in crafting the Creedverse for nearly a decade, and for the third installment, he went all out. Not only did he star in the film, but he helmed the director’s chair, which proved successful. This, of course, was also aided by costars like Tessa Thompson and Jonathan Majors, and their press runs have been filled with laughs and revelations.

Most recently, Jordan and Majors sat down with Complex, where they named their GOATs. From athletes to food to entertainers to—of course—rappers, the Creed III stars get real about their favorites. At one point, Majors also asked Jordan to choose between Jay-Z and Tupac Shakur. It was a decision that he struggled with. “Listen, y’all,” Jordan joked. “This ain’t cool.”

Michael B. Jordan Makes His Choices

Majors chimed in to agree that this would be a difficult choice. Jordan further added, “They’re right there,” as he made hand motions to suggest it was a close call. Then, Jordan ignored the options at hand and answered, “Drake. Fight me.” Majors was visibly surprised—and confused. “You said Drake?!” Jordan answered, “Fight me!”

Jonathan Majors laughed at his friend and asked, “What happened to Pac?” It was a question that Jordan skipped over. “Man, consistently, for how long across genres,” Jordan seemed to say, referencing Drizzy. Jonathan still was baffled and added that Tupac’s life was cut short. This fact is why Jordan said he placed the late icon in the “untouchable” category. “Great. This is not untouchable talk,” Majors replied. “This is GOAT talk.”

Additionally, Majors chose Jay-Z as his GOAT before Jordan explained why Hov didn’t take the title. According to him, Drake pens rhymes that speak directly to things he’s experienced “consistently.” It also helps that the pair are also friends and have been spotted partying together or sitting courtside at sports events. These GOAT talks also spark a discussion, and it’s clear that this is the catalyst for the next viral conversation. Swipe above to get a better context of the discussion.

600Breezy Recalls How Serious His Beef With XXXTENTACION Got

With the XXXTENTACION murder trial underway, 600Breezy is sharing his thoughts on the case. As you remember, Breezy was among the many who took issue with X during his lifetime. When X had issues with Drake, Breezy emerged to defend Drake. However, the friction between X and Breezy led to the latter’s inclusion in the paperwork for the former’s murder. As the defense shared a list of potential witnesses, they expressed interest in having 600Breezy either take the stand or sit down for a deposition.

Unfortunately, his name continues to be brought up. As the defense attempted to drag Drake into a deposition, they also mentioned Breezy’s feud with X. Ultimately, a judge shut down the deposition attempts for Drake and 600Breezy, as he felt both of them are irrelevant to the actual case. Still, the defense attorney tried to convince the judge that their participation in this trial is necessary to prove his client’s innocence. Ultimately, his efforts fell flat, especially since there’s no hard evidence that can connect either Drake or 600Breezy to X’s death.

600Breezy On XXXTENTACION Murder Trial

During a recent interview with VladTV, 600Breezy explained that he only landed in the paperwork for XXXTENTACION’s murder because of his infamous trip to Florida. The rapper explained that he went to Florida following X’s diss towards Drake’s mom, though he adamantly stated that he did so without Drake’s approval. However, he said that the friction between them were very real, so he understood why the defense would try to use his name.

Ultimately, Breezy said that, even with his beef with XXXTENTACION, he was in jail at the time of the rapper’s death, therefore making his testimony irrelevant to the case. However, he explained that mentioning Drake or himself in the trial will turn the entire case into something bigger than what it is. Then, 600Breezy explained that the state is trying to make an example out of the four individuals on trial because of how much of a high-profile case this is. Check out his interview above and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.

Drake Tells Twitch To Send Kai Cenat $50M For Subscription Record

Kai Cenat is officially the biggest streamer in the world. Cenat reached a major milestone last night when he reached 300K subscribers on Twitch – a new record for the platform. The streamer emerged through Grand Theft Auto live streams, which also propelled his YouTube content. “IT’S OFFICIAL WE ARE THE MOST SUBSCRIBED STREAMER OF ALL TIME, ALSO HITTING THE MILESTONE 300K SUBS,” he tweeted after breaking the record on Twitch. “THIS JOURNEY HAS BEEN AMAZING….HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH.”

In the past year, Cenat’s live stream became a hot spot for celebrities, especially rappers. The infamous Blueface and Chrisean Rock live stream took over the Internet in November. Most recently, he had G Herbo on the show where they tested out the birth simulator to hilarious results. Then, there was the live stream with 21 Savage where Drake called in to place a six-figure bet on his Her Loss collaborator in a game of NBA 2K against Cenat. Evidently, Drizzy’s also a fan of the YouTuber.

Drake Wants Kai Cenat Paid

Cenat’s incredible run over the past few months has undoubtedly earned him fans out of the biggest celebrities in the world. And while he had a brief issue with Twitch earlier this year that got him temporarily banned, he eventually returned to make history on the platform. However, some people feel as though Cenat deserves a big bag off from Twitch for bringing in 300K subscribers. “@twitch motivate the kids send him 50M,” Drake wrote under Akademiks post, while Lil Durk suggested that it should arrive in all cash.

Drake’s suggestion to Twitch aligns with his sentiments surrounding Spotify. Following yet another milestone as the first artist to surpass 75 billion streams, he said the streaming service should provide artists bonuses to motivate the next generation. “We should get bonuses like athletes to motivate the future artists to be consistent and competitive,” he wrote. “So feel free to send me a LeBron sized cheque I have enough dinner plates @spotify.” Spotify hasn’t responded to it but it seems as though Drake would like to see similar rules implemented on other platforms. Check his comments on Kai Cenat above.
