Did Drake Just Debut Some New Bars?

Drake is one of the best artists in the entire world. At this point, it is impossible to deny it. Overall, he has changed the game in a whole lot of ways. Additionally, he has some of the best-selling albums in the history of hip-hop. His mix of soft r&b ballads and harder-hitting rap songs has captivated a whole plethora of audiences. The artist has something for everyone, which is not an easy feat to accomplish. With each album, he breaks new ground and there is no doubt that fans are excited about what he is going to come out with in the future.

Soon, Drake and 21 Savage will be embarking on the “It’s All A Blur” tour. This is a tour that already has lots of controversy surrounding it due to the ticket prices. However, the two artists are on track to sell out every single venue and it is easy to see why. Their album Her Loss was a huge hit, and fans just want to see them perform together. Additionally, Drake’s last North American tour was all the way back in 2018. Needless to say, the Canadian megastar has been due for this kind of offering.

Drake Gets Poetic

On top of all of this, Drake has also been flirting with the idea of retirement. This is something that has certainly scared fans as they do not want to see Drake go. He is a staple of the music world and his loss would be immediately felt. That said, he seems to be reflecting on his success these days. In the Instagram post above, he offered what appears to be some unreleased bars. “One day I will tell the masses the story of how I manifested this whole thing while working on myself and a million other things,” he writes. “Till the records were all broken and the rules were fully bent/The 100’s smell like maple syrup so my closet has a scent/And the Rolexes are to remind myself I’ve done this time and time again,” he adds.

It remains to be seen if Drake will ever release the song that these bars are supposedly featured on. Based on the reactions from all of the fans, it is clear that this song is going to be a huge hit. The reactions were all positive, which means Drake should seriously consider dropping this. Let us know what you thought of the bars, in the comments down below.

Drake Gets Miami Nightclub Going With Some Avril Lavigne

Drake is someone who has always shown love to his Canadian roots. After all, his very first taste of stardom came thanks to a Canadian television show. Overall, Toronto is a huge part of everything Drake does. From lyrics to album covers, Drizzy is always showing love to the Six. At this point, he is probably Canada’s largest export in terms of music talent. This is quite the proclamation when you consider just how many great artists have come out of the country.

One of those artists is Avril Lavigne. The artist is pop-punk royalty, who came up during the 2000s. Love her or hate her, there is no denying the contributions she made to the music world. Moreover, she is now back in the news thanks to her relationship with Tyga. This newfound relevancy was probably at the top of Drake’s mind recently while he was out at a club in Miami. In the TikTok below, Drake can be seen manning the DJ’s table where he immediately plays “Complicated.” This is Lavigne’s biggest hit, and the artist seemed to love every single second of his DJ’ing efforts.

Drake Has The Club Going Off

As for the crowd, well they loved it too. “Complicated” is a track that came out all the way back in 2002, and over 20 years later, it is still quite popular. It’s an easy song to love, and Drake seems to agree. Not to mention, when you add that Canadian connection into the mix, you get the perfect collision course. While it may not be the song those club-goers were expecting, it certainly performed well. Other DJ’s should definitely keep that in mind for the future.

If Lavigne ends up seeing this TikTok, she should reach out to Drake’s people. While a collaboration is highly unlikely, it would still be a whole lot of fun to see. The Her Loss artist has yet to explore the world of pop punk, but with others doing so, maybe he should too. Let us know what you think of Drake’s recent choice, in the comments below. DJ Drama Suggests “Gangsta Grillz” Mixtape With Quentin Miller After Drake Debacle

Some Hip Hop beefs can come and go without fans giving a care, but Drake and Meek Mill’s unraveling was havoc for Quentin Miller. We remember when Drizzy and Meek were at odds all those years ago—primarily because of the classic tracks that came from the chaos. At the time, Miller’s reference tracks for Drake were given to Meek, who could use the material against his foe. It was alleged that DJ Drama was responsible, but he denied the allegations. Miller even spoke up, saying he didn’t write anything for Drake, but that didn’t calm the masses. Funk Flex then threatened to release the reference tracks—and later did just that after Meek failed to provide a Drake diss.

For some, this is all water under the bridge, but Miller’s career was negatively impacted. He would also say that he wasn’t paid for his additions to Drake’s records, and has made no qualms about being bitter about the financial loss. Meanwhile, DJ Drama revisited that time in Hip Hop history with DJ Akademiks. The pair chatted on the latter’s Off The Record podcast, and Drama admitted it was time to make things right with Miller. The hitmaking producer has widely been credited as pouring gasoline on the flames of the beef.

DJ Drama Wants To Make Things Right

“Well, just to clarify, I definitely think there are apologies owed to Quentin Miller, for sure,” said Drama. He added, “I don’t know if I would say that they would only need to be from me. If it makes you feel any better, me and Quentin have seen each other recently.” Drama included Miller in online posts and even teased a possible collaboration. “I put it on social media, I put him in my Story. Came to the studio, and we’ve even talked. I asked him if he wanted to do a Gangsta Grillz. So, you know, I would definitely be open and down to doing a Gangsta Grillz with Quentin Miller.”

Drama also wanted to shut down any rumors that he and Drake were at war behind the scenes. They appeared together at the Kentucky Derby for Jack Harlow‘s music video and posed for a photo op. “These guys have patched it up. And then Quentin, out of the four of us or what have you, unfortunately, it looks like he got the short end of the stick.” Quentin issued a response on his Instagram Story. Check that out, along with Drama’s interview, above.

DJ Akademiks Calls Out Drake, Kendrick Lamar, & J. Cole For Avoiding Hip Hop Outlets

True to his form, DJ Akademiks is back with commentary about a few of Rap’s heavy hitters. He’s not one to mince words, and it seems that this time, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, and Drake are in his crosshairs. Cole’s recent intimate interview with Bob Myers has been the talk of sports and Hip Hop, so it isn’t surprising that Ak had a thing or two to say about the chat. The look wasn’t something Akademiks was a fan of because he believes K-Dot, Cole World, and Drizzy actively avoid certain outlets.

“J. Cole and the rest of y’all big rappers,” Ak began. “No wonder y’all get sh*tted on by Hip Hop outlets. Y’all get so big in the game—they use the culture, and they use all these blogs. Not saying you need to—I don’t care if they do an interview with me. But I know a lot of journalists in the game, and they won’t speak up. And a lot of them still really hope to get an interview. I say f*ck all these n*ggas.”

DJ Akademiks Details His Disapproval

“I just look at n*ggas, like J. Cole. When I see you doing some sh*t on ESPN but you won’t do an interview with a n*gga in the culture, you won’t hop on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, you won’t hop on motherf*cking Drink Champs. You won’t be with Joe Budden or something like that. I look at it as some weird sh*t.” Akademiks further stated he was “speaking for all the little journalists in the game.” He also suggested many rappers don’t want to sit down with these outlets because they can’t control the narrative.

This is something that Akademiks regularly faces due to his controversial connections in the industry. He’s been called out for the way he reports on the culture; still, his blog continues to increase in popularity. “If Kendrick don’t wanna f*ck with you, tell that n*gga to kick rocks,” he added. Ak insisted he would never beg anyone for an interview. “They’re gonna go to some whitewashed outlet and go sit with some random n*gga, or some random white dude and not talk to you.” There were many more noteworthy moments in DJ Akademiks’s Livestream, so check that out above. Does he make a point, or are his criticisms too much?

Drake Reps G-Unit Shirt After Linking Up With 50 Cent In Miami

This past weekend was an undoubtedly busy one for Drake. However, thousands of his fans felt let down by the cancellation of his headlining set at Lollapalooza on Saturday (March 25). The sad news came shortly after videos of the Canadian partying with 50 Cent at a club in Florida surfaced online, causing some to speculate that a wild night out on the town was more enticing to Drizzy than arriving on time for his highly anticipated scheduled performance. Brazilian fans didn’t hesitate to let their disdain be known. Some even cursed out the foreign artist after the festival replaced him with EDM DJ Skrillex.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Drake is without members of his sound and production team, essential to the realization of the Lollapalooza show in Sao Paulo,” a translated statement from the event’s social media pages explains. “Drake was excited to perform for his fans in Brazil. Unfortunately, this is beyond his control. Sorry.” In response, one angry Twitter user wrote, “GRINGOS IN F*CKING LATIN AMERICA. I HATE Y’ALL.”

Drizzy and Fif Meet Up in Miami

Even with all the backlash he’s facing for ditching Lollapalooza to party with the Power producer, Drake continues to show his support for 50 Cent. On Monday (March 27), a photo of the father of one wearing a G-Unit shirt while chatting with a man in a suit began making rounds online. The “I Get Money” hitmaker is the only artist to appear on the black tee, a bandana covering the lower half of his face and a giant chain draped around his neck.

Champagne Papi was looking similarly stylish, wearing his own infamous chain made of 32 engagement rings, said to be from past failed relationships. The 36-year-old also sported a thin, shorter necklace layered underneath, and a gold watch on his wrist. The photo was on Drake’s Instagram Story last night. It’s obviously seen a strong reaction from the internet following his latest antics. On the bright side, while the Scorpion hitmaker did cancel his set, he somewhat made up for it by teasing a new track on social media that sounds as though it has some serious song of the summer potential. Read more about that here, and check back later for more hip-hop news updates.

Drake Had An Adorable Interaction With A Fan’s Mom In A Restaurant And The Video Is Hilarious

Drake is not one to miss an opportunity to lay on the charm. This past weekend, a group of ladies noticed the “Rich Flex” rapper while dining in a restaurant. Drake caught wind of the fans, and made his way over to their table.

In a clip captured by one of the fans, and later shared to her Instagram Story, Drake is heard saying, “What’s up, girly?” to the fan’s mother. Shortly after, he faces the camera and sticks out his tongue, while motioning his hands.

The clip on the story is captioned with “Did Drake just say ‘wasss up girlie’ to my mom?”

With several hits under his belt, Drake is one of the most easily recognizable faces in the rap game. Though recently, he shocked several fans after a clip of a conversation with Lil Yachty suggested that he may make “a graceful exit” in the near future.

In the full interview, he noted that his retirement wouldn’t happen anytime soon.

“I’m not ready now, but to gracefully continue making projects that are extremely, like, interesting and hopefully cherished by people,” he said. “And then to find the right time to say like, ‘I can’t wait to see what the next generation does.”

Find the clip above.

Drake Cursed Out By Brazilian Fans Over 50 Cent Link-Up

Brazilian fans won’t welcome Drake again, mainly after canceling his set at Lollapalooza Brazil to link-up with 50 Cent. The “God’s Plan” rapper performed across Latin America this month ahead of his massive North American tour with 21 Savage. Unfortunately, hours before his set at Lollapalooza Brasil, the festival announced that he wouldn’t perform anymore. Apparently, the rapper lacked essential team members for his live show.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Drake is without members of his sound and production team, essential to the realization of the Lollapalooza show in Sao Paulo,” reads a translated statement read on the festival’s social media pages. “Drake was excited to perform for his fans in Brazil. Unfortunately, this is beyond his control. Sorry.” Shortly afterward, though, Drizzy and 50 Cent linked up in a club in Miami. Many of his fans at the festival weren’t happy, even after Lolla Brasil offered refunds for replacing the Canadian star with Skrillex.

Lollapalooza Brazil Attendees Bash Drake

Before the news hit social media, a festival organizer emerged on stage to break the news to the audience and they were not happy about it. The crowd began to chant in Portuguese out of frustration at Drake’s cancellation. However, fans were even more vocal on social media after he and 50 Cent linked up at a Miami nightclub. “DRAKE CANCELLED HIS HEADLINING SLOT AT LOLLAPALOOZA BRAZIL SO HE COULD GO TO THE CLUB IN MIAMI WITH 50 CENT,” one fan wrote. “GRINGOS IN FUCKING LATIN AMERICA. I HATE Y’ALL.”

Unfortunately, there are other people who simply want to have Drizzy banned from festivals, at least the ones that took place in Latin America in the last week. Drake faced backlash after performing a relatively short set at Lollapalooza Argentina – 40 to 50 minutes – which is significantly shorter than most main festival acts. On top of that, he reportedly canceled a scheduled live stream of his set, leaving many of his fans who couldn’t attend the festival frustrated at home. Check out a few reactions below and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.
