Cam’ron Takes The Blame After LaMello Ball’s Homophobic Joke

Cam’ron says he’s taking the blame for LaMello Ball getting hit with a $100,000 fine after making a homophobic remark during a recent postgame interview. While discussing his team’s defensive performance against the Milwaukee Bucks, Ball remarked: “Yeah, we loaded up — no homo — but that’s what we wanted.” Cam discussed the situation with Mase on their sports talk show, It Is What It Is, on Tuesday.

“I blame myself, I really do, man,” he said. “I blame the east side of Harlem. You got this in Jefferson Projects probably in 1996 when we were saying this. And before that — what the fuck? God damn, we did this a long time. To be honest with you, this is why we started saying ‘pause.’ We used to say what Melo said, but we were like, ‘The people are sensitive, you get fined.’ And that’s why we don’t say it anymore.”

From there, Mase joined in to agree with Cam. “Just for that? My goodness […] I mean, people gotta be responsible for their words but I think if you know these guys are playing, it should be taken a little bit lighter. It’s not like he said it towards anybody living a certain way. He was just joking,” he said.

Cam’ron & Mase Speak On LaMelo Ball’s Fine

Ball has already apologized for the comment. “Before we get started, I just want to address the comment yesterday. I really didn’t mean anything [by it] and don’t want to offend anybody. I’ve got love for everybody, and I don’t discriminate,” he told reporters during a postgame interview after the Hornets’ loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday. Cam’ron & Mase Stick Up For Drake Amid Trolling Over His DeMar DeRozan Feud

Cam’ron and Mase discussed the feud between Drake and DeMar DeRozan during the latest episode of their show, It Is What It Is. In doing so, they explained that Drake is justified in feeling offended by the Sacramento Kings star appearing in Kendrick Lamar’s music video for “Not Like Us.” The discussion comes after Drake trolled DeRozan during his return to Toronto, earlier this month, which received mixed responses on social media

Mase began by admitting that DeRozan’s appearance in the “Not Like Us” music video clearly hurt Drake “more than any other person that was there because this is a person that he shares a lot of history with.” He ended by praying that the feud stays “harmless” and that “everyone stays safe.” As for Cam’ron, he made similar comments but admitted DeRozan is from Compton at the end of the day. He also brought up the excited energy at Lamar’s The Pop Out concert. Fans have been having mixed responses to the discussion on X (formerly Twitter), with one user labeling the takes “bland.” Another wrote: “If this was anybody else other than Drake Cam & Mase would’ve been clowning them. Treating him like he’s a toddler lol.”

When DeRozan took on the Toronto Raptors, last Saturday night, Drake hopped on the team’s broadcast to throw some shade his way. Describing DeRozan as a “goof,” he added: “If you ever put up a DeRozan banner, I’ll go up there and pull it down myself.” After the game, DeRozan appeared unbothered by the comment, telling reporters: “He’s going to have a long way to climb to take it down, so tell him good luck.”

Cam’ron & LiAngelo Ball Get Into Fiery Back-And-Forth Over Each Other’s Careers

In a pretty unexpected series of events, Cam’ron and basketball journeyman LiAngelo Ball have gotten into a tense verbal battle. According to HipHopDX, this all began on the set of the former’s platform It Is What It Is recently. They got on the subject of LiAngelo not being able to make the NBA like his older and younger brothers Lonzo and LaMelo. Cam jokingly conjured up what Gelo’s siblings said to him, teasing, “We tried, we did everything we could. We gotta tryout in China for you, that’s all we got.” This got to LiAngelo, and he would eventually respond on his own podcast with Lonzo, What an Experience.

‘Suck It Or Not’ with Lil Wayne, that’s all I remember from you. You don’t know my story like that. To say, ‘Oh, he got a tryout in China,’ you don’t know what I did in the G League, boy. I’m out here hooping.” Cam would come back with how he only knows about him because of his dad LaVar and went after his shoplifting incident. “Gelo, I ain’t got no problem with you, I just gotta call it like I see it. You’re lucky Trump was in China ’cause they might have cut your fingers off over stealing those sunglasses, n****.” Gelo responded to that by going in on Cam’s legacy. “Since you wanna talk about all the rap s*** and I’m not good and I’m not this and I’m not that, I’ve never talked to someone and you’ve been in [their] top five, top 10, bro. I’ve never heard your name in no rap convo… We in the same boat, n****. I didn’t make the league and you ain’t in no top 10s.”

Who’s Winning? Cam’ron Or LiAngelo Ball?

Oh, but we aren’t done just yet though. Cam’ron addressed the comments above and looked to go for the knockout punch on the show today. “A championship for musicians is going platinum. As a producer, ghostwriter, executive producer and artist I have 12 million records on my resume I don’t need to be on someone’s top 5 I’m good,” he said. He then rhetorically asked Gelo where he was at since the NBA season got underway last night. It’s a pretty big blow from the New York native and he certainly has the last laugh right now.

Big Sean Drops Official Video for “It Is What It Is” Featuring Gunna

Multi-platinum artist and GRAMMY-nominated rapper Big Sean has released the highly anticipated music video for “It Is What It Is,” featuring Gunna. The track is from Sean’s critically acclaimed sixth studio album Better Me Than You (Def Jam Recordings).

Directed by Diego Cruz, the video features Big Sean and Gunna performing against various urban landscapes in Los Angeles, delivering bold lyrics like, “Face all on the front page, I don’t give a f—- about no backlash / I’ve been backstabbed and laughed at / We gon’ see who gets the f—-’ last laugh.”

“It Is What It Is” is the seventh track on Better Me Than You, an album that takes listeners on a 21-track journey through themes of self-exploration, responsibility, and personal growth. The project showcases Big Sean’s lyrical depth while embracing the complexity and joy of the human experience.

Better Me Than You has received critical acclaim for its raw honesty and introspective storytelling, and the new video adds a visual dimension to the album’s standout track, blending striking visuals with Sean and Gunna’s commanding performances.

The video is now available on all major platforms, adding another layer to the buzz surrounding Better Me Than You and its ongoing impact on fans and the music scene.

Big Sean & Gunna Encapsulate Humble Beginnings To Perfection In “It Is What It Is” Visual

The goal for Big Sean’s latest album Better Me Than You in our eyes was to promote maturity and personal growth. Overall, the project mostly succeeded in that regard outside of a few detours in the tracklist. In terms of the quality, Sean Don definitely had some flashes of pure genius, but too many times did he revert back to some things that hold him back. Some of those drawbacks included sleepier performances and some awkward singing. All in all, though, we are happy to see the Detroit native back in action and there are still a few tracks that we go back to. One of those is Big Sean’s first-ever collaboration with Gunna, “It Is What It Is.” This seems to be a favorite for most that checked out this tape and it’s easy to see why.

Sean and Gunna absolutely glide over Turbo’s Latin-esque trap blend. The topic at hand is substantial enough to keep your interest as the successful MCs remember their journeys to fame and flex on the doubters. Both drop some gems, with one being, “No time to wait, I’ma hit in this Scat, hope they payin’ attention / They try turn their back on the realest / Ain’t work, what the word on me now when you fearless?” It’s pretty evident that this track has tremendous replay value and Sean recognizes that as the visual for “It Is What It Is” is here now. Given that him and Gunna are rapping with that blue-collar mentality, them choosing a decrepit-looking freight train station was a smart move. It’s a lowkey video, but it really needs nothing more. Cam’ron Calls Out Shannon Sharpe For Only Getting Advice From White Men

Ever since the viral Shannon Sharpe sex tape “accident”, some people online have been incredibly skeptical. One of those is rapper and sports talk host, Cam’ron. The de facto leader of the It Is What It Is program has raised questions, essentially asking how Shannon did this by mistake and why would he do such a thing. Overall, he feels that it was completely staged, and that the ex-NFL tight end was looking to go viral again. The Club Shay Shay founder has vehemently denied that was the case on multiple occasions. But Cam’ron didn’t stop there with Shannon Sharpe. Not too long ago, he recreated the wild incident by “having sex in a car”, which got more unbelievable by the second.

However, the Dipset MC is done teasing the ESPN employee now. Instead, him and the rest of his panel are feeling some type of way about some recent comments that Sharpe made. The latter was addressing all of the people (including Cam indirectly) that were claiming this sex tape was done on purpose. Essentially, Shannon doesn’t understand why others are coming to this conclusion. Especially when he knows he could lose tons of money from sponsors and advertisers for his podcast. He says he could understand the skepticism if his platform was trying to gain a bigger audience. But otherwise, he’s not trying to hear that. However, who he would listen to in the space are names like “Joe Rogan”, “Alex Cooper”, and “The Kelce brothers”, Jason & Travis.

Cam’ron Is Not Joking Around With Shannon Sharpe Anymore

He mentioned these names because Sharpe feels their shows are above his and he would listen to their criticism because of that. That comment right there is what got Cam and Ma$e in particular to unleash. The former took Shannon’s statement in a racial manner, saying that he’s only going to listen to the “white man”. Ma$e made sure to take it a step further saying that Shannon was trying to convey that “everybody black is beneath him”. Shannon may not have meant it like that, but it will be interesting to see if he addresses these remarks.

What are your thoughts on Cam’ron calling out Shannon Sharpe for saying he would only listen to certain podcasts criticisms of the sex tape mishap? Who do you think is wrong here and why? Do you still think it was an accident or was it staged? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Cam’ron and Shannon Sharpe. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the pop culture world.

Cam’ron & Ma$e’s ‘It Is What It Is’ Adds NFL Legend Michael Irvin as New Football Analyst

cam michael rivn

Cam’ron and Ma$e’s popular sports show, It Is What It Is, has launched its highly anticipated fifth season, announcing NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin as the newest football analyst. The new season premiered on September 2nd, featuring Irvin, known for his dynamic presence and deep football knowledge, to add fresh insights and excitement to the show.

Michael Irvin brings a wealth of experience from his 15 years as an analyst with the NFL Network and his time on ESPN programs such as First Take, GET UP, and Sunday NFL Countdown. Before his successful commentary career, Irvin earned the nickname “The Playmaker” for his pivotal role in the Dallas Cowboys’ dynasty of the 1990s, where he helped lead the team to three Super Bowl titles.

A decorated player, Irvin is a 5-time Pro Bowler, a member of the Hall of Fame All-1990s NFL Team, and a Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee. Throughout his 11-year NFL career, he recorded 750 receptions for 11,904 yards and 65 touchdowns, solidifying his legacy as one of the greats.

In the September 3rd episode, the show tackled hot topics, including Anthony Edwards’s remarks on NBA legends from the Jordan era, the record-setting 15 Black quarterbacks starting in Week 1 of the NFL, and debates around whether Josh Allen is overrated.

Cam’ron & Mase Hilariously Roast Michael Jordan’s Son And Shade Michael Irvin In The Process

Cam’ron and Mase have one of the best sports talk shows out right now. Overall, It Is What It Is has proven to be must-watch programming. Moreover, it was the catalyst for these two to reconcile their differences and become best friends again. Over the past couple of years, the show has been a massive hit and the fans absolutely adore it. However, they were recently on a bit of a hiatus to enjoy the summer break and get some much-deserved rest.

Now, the show is officially back as the NFL season is about to commence this weekend. Fans could not be more excited for the next six months, and It Is What It Is will be providing commentary throughout. In fact, on Monday, they had Michael Irvin as a guest. Following their segment with Irvin, they discussed the recent images of Michael Jordan’s son Marcus appearing to snort what looks like cocaine. Given Irvin’s past issues with cocaine, Cam’ron and Mase had a moment in which they couldn’t stop laughing.

Cam’ron & Ma$e Rip J Prince Apart Amid Shakur Stevenson Beef

There is a new installment in the Cam’ron & Ma$e versus Shakur Stevenson beef, as the latter’s manager, J Prince, fires back. If you pay attention to the boxing world, you know that the young and speedy fighter has been trading words with the It Is What It Is panel. This heated debate’s origins trace back to last weekend after the still undefeated lightweight boxer defended his title against the underdog, Artem Harutyunyan. Stevenson went on to win by judge’s decision after showing off his incredible defense and tactical approach. However, a lot of viewers of the violent sport are not too keen on his style, including Ma$e and Cam’ron.

Ma$e started things after saying that he does not want to see Stevenson fight anyone ever again during the segment on their show. It got around to the WBC athlete, and that kicked off the beef. As we mentioned, it is still going, as J Prince is now getting involved, according to AllHipHop. If you are wondering why a musical artist manager is speaking on a boxer’s behalf, it is because Stevenson has been a client of his since late 2016. Prince clapped back at the podcast duo by sharing that his last match was the most watched boxing event of the year.

In the caption, Prince wrote, “NUMBERS DONT LIE HATERS DO”. He then went on to @ the talk show, “And to all of you haters who want to escalate that hate outside of the ring I’m Shakur’s manager and I handle all his business outside of the ring. In other words, Cam and Mase I will fade all his shots and take all bets”. However, Cam’ron and Ma$e are standing firm on their position. They returned the favor by resharing an interview with Top Rank‘s Bob Arum explaining why Stevenson’s methods do not attract the eyes. It Is What It Is also had some choice words for J Prince, stating, “THE FIGHT WAS “FREE 99” SO YEA #’s DO LIE SOME TIMES, N****S MAD AT US FOR SAYING WHAT EVERYBODY ELSE SAYING INCLUDING THE PEOPLE WHO #SHAKUR WAS SIGNED TO “FOH”.

What are your thoughts on J Prince, Cam’ron, and Ma$e continuing their back-and-forth surrounding Shakur Stevenson? Whose side are you on during this ongoing debate?
