Lil Durk Argues Gang Life Is Incompatible With His Muslim Faith

Lil Durk argued you can’t be both gang-affiliated and Muslim while speaking on his faith in a statement on Instagram, over the weekend. The topic began with him sharing a selfie on Instagram with the caption: “Don’t label me nothing outside of A MAN A FATHER and A 1000% Muslim.” As fans questioned his intent with the statement, Durk took to his Instagram Story to elaborate.

“I don’t gabgbang I’m a Muslim,” he wrote. “Basically what I was saying on my post in so many words you can’t do both ima be the one who say it. So if you follow me as a brother a friend a icon follow me to my new chapter of life. When I make music I rap what I seen and been through not telling you to go do it HUGE difference the music won’t change but my life goals will.”

It’s not the first time Durk has spoken about his growth in recent years. Back in June, he discussed his past drug use and revealed he checked into rehab in a video shared by TMZ. “It was tough at first, but it ain’t that tough ’cause I really knew what I wanted. I knew what was holding me back,” Durk explained at the time. “I wanted better. I want to be a better man, a better father, a better leader. My main goal is peace, being with the family and staying out of bullsh*t. I just see myself staying on the right track and trying to change a lot of lives.”

GloRilla is certainly no stranger to turning heads, and one of her latest selfies recently caught the attention of none other than Trick Daddy. In the photo, Glo flashes a peace sign in her bathroom mirror. “Damn Glo I’m loving this bathroom [side eye emoji],” he wrote. Of course, other social media users quickly took note of his comment and speculated that it was his attempt at shooting his shot.

While most can’t blame him for his apparent thirst, many are urging him to sit this one out, calling attention to their age difference. “Trick, you have daughters her age,” one fan writes alongside a laughing emoji. “Stop it.” Someone else simply says, “She’s 25 and he’s 50…” Others are coming to his defense, arguing that the remark could have actually been an innocent compliment.

It’s unconfirmed which of the two scenarios is true, and for now, Trick Daddy has yet to comment on the debacle. GloRilla isn’t the only femcee he’s shown love to in recent weeks, however. This month he also gave Sexyy Red her flowers on an episode of his podcast, B*tch I Got My Pots. He insisted that she was snubbed at the BET Awards this year, as Tyla took home the award for Best New Artist instead of her.

“Sexyy Red… You got snubbed,” he began. “Sexyy Red was up for the rapper, entertainer, performer. One of ’em other year. I remember last year, they was hating on her since she wasn’t making, now I can’t go in a club. At this stage in his career, he holds very little relevance in hip-hop. However, he does make Latin music now and mostly operates within the confines of the Dominican Republic. Recently, Tekashi made his return to the United States where fans are wondering what his next move will be.

Well, as you can see down below, 6ix9ine is officially back on social media and he has brought with him a whole new hairstyle. Fans remember him for his long hair that was rainbow-colored. Now, he is simply going for something much more basic and refined. Meanwhile, he also previewed some new music, although it is clear he just does not have the juice he used to have years ago. One has to wonder how much longer the charade will go on for.

Skai Jackson Avoids Discussing Arrest By Answering Fake Questions On TikTok Live

Skai Jackson was reportedly arrested for alleged domestic battery after having a fight with her boyfriend at Universal Studios in Los Angeles. Authorities were called to the CityWalk area of the theme park after she and her boyfriend were spotted arguing, per TMZ. According to TMZ, she pushed him more than once. Her boyfriend’s identity is still a mystery to the public. She has rarely featured him on her social media pages.

Security reportedly detained Skai Jackson and her boyfriend until law enforcement arrived. When law enforcement arrived, they arrested Jackson for a misdemeanor domestic battery. After deputies reviewed the footage and saw that she pushed him, they cited Jackson. Authorities released her hours later. Jackson and her boyfriend denied that anything got physical between them. Additionally, she told law enforcement that they are engaged and currently expecting a baby.

In a TikTok livestream on Wednesday, Skai Jackson decided not to address her recent legal issues. After a fan asked her what happened at Universal Studios, she opted to go into detail about a new show she finished filming. The same day, she made a sponsored post with Cantu Beauty, limiting the comments to those that follow her so that she didn’t get bombarded with comments about the situation. She also disabled comments on her previous posts. At that point, disgruntled fans accused her of ignoring the questions by making up fake ones. None of the “questions” she actually answered were visible on the screen at any point.

Of course, younger fans will best remember Skai Jackson for her time on Disney Channel. She played Zuri Ross on the hit show Jessie from 2011 to 2015. She reprised the role on the first three seasons of Bunk’d, a spin-off series, from 2015 to 2018. In 2020, Jackson finished in fifth place on the 29th season of Dancing With The Stars. She most recently appeared in The Man In The White Van, a thriller film starring Sean Astin, Ari Larter, and Madison Wolfe, scheduled for a theatrical release in North America on October 11. Based on her recent stream, she has another project on the way. It is possible that she isn’t answering questions since the case is has not yet been resolved, but it is unlikely that she’ll ever address it at all.

Why Fans Think Drake Will Reference “Top Gun” On His Upcoming Project

Drake has been throwing out lots of feelers. The rapper dropped three new songs as part of his “100 Gigs” release. It’s obvious that he’s got something else coming, though. The 6 God never goes very long without dropping a new project. The going theory among Drake fans is that whatever he has in store for his next album, it will contain a reference to the Top Gun character Iceman. Several people have noticed that Drizzy has been leaving clues relating to the film on his plot twist burner account.

There’s a couple reasons why the Iceman theory holds weight. For one, Drake has repeatedly posted pics of the Kimi Räikkönen on his aforementioned burner. Kimi Räikkönen is the most successful Finnish Formula One driver in history, and one of the most revered racers of his generation. His nickname? You guessed it: “Iceman.” Drake hammered home the Iceman obsession on August 14, when he posted an actual screenshot from Top Gun. No caption or additional context, just an extreme close up of actor Val KIlmer as Iceman.

Drake has a track record of posting movie scenes on Instagram. He employed this tactic multiple times during the Kendrick Lamar battle. He posted a scene from the romantic comedy 10 Things I Hate About You as a means of clowning Lamar’s “Euphoria” diss. The rapper then dropped a scene from the Denzel Washington action film The Equalizer 2. In the scene, Washington’s character discovers that one of his friends has betrayed him. He then announces his plans to “kill each and every one” of his enemies. Not subtle, and unfortunately for Drake, not prophetic either. The point still stands: the boy loves his movies.

The concept of Iceman, a character known for being cool under pressure, is something Drake has been trying to emulate since the Lamar battle. The rapper’s frequent collaborator, Gordo, told People that the rapper has been “happy as sh*t” since the battle ended. Lil Yachty echoed the sentiment during a recent appearance on the Flagrant podcast. “I talked to him and that sh*t didn’t bother him,” Yachty explained to the hosts. “As it shouldn’t — he’s the f*king guy. If I had $700 million you couldn’t talk to me either.” If internet sleuths are right, than the 6 God will use Iceman to initiate a new era.

Central Cee Tried To Rock Bantu Knots And The Internet Ate Him Alive

Central Cee is on the come up. He has exploded in the 2020s, reaching a level of crossover success that few UK rappers have. DJ Akademiks went as far as to claim that Cee was a top 5 relevant rap artist in the world during a live stream in June. That being said, Cee is not immune to the mockery of the internet. He popped up in an Instagram video alongside Lil Durk on August 13, and appeared to be rocking a bold new hairstyle. Central Cee got Bantu knots. And social media immediately criticized him for trying to emulate the fashion sensibility of Black artists.

Bantu knots are a traditional African hairstyle that have been around for a hundred plus years. The style is especially popular with Black women, which is why so many people looked sideways at Central Cee’s new look. Most of the criticisms leveled at the UK rapper had to do with the fact that he’s seemingly a white artist. “Y’all convinced Central Cee he was lightskin. Now he’s rocking bantu knots looking like an impressive fool,” one Twitter user wrote. Others simply thought it looked bad on Cee. “I’m not even mad at Central Cee for getting Bantu Knots,” another user wrote. “Do whatever you want I guess, my problem is it looks ridiculous.”

Twitter Users Questioned Central Cee’s Ethnicity

It’s worth noting that Central Cee is actually mixed. During a 2023 interview with Vogue, the rapper discussed his specific ethnic makeup. “My dad’s Guyanese and Chinese, and my mum’s English,” he explained. Central Cee had previously been reluctant to specify his familial lineage. He did, however, open up about the experiences he had growing up in a mixed household. “Not having much, my mum’s hardships,” he noted. “I was taking them on myself, subconsciously. I wanted to take matters into my own hands.”

Some social media users defended Central Cee’s decision to get Bantu knots. They were, however, in the minority. The backlash has been pretty deafening, so it’ll be interesting to see if the UK rapper decides to stick with his new hairstyle or abandon it. Kanye West Faces Huge Lawsuit For Using Pictures Of Himself And Bianca Censori

Kanye West is facing a new lawsuit from BackGrid USA, Inc. and Backgrid London Ltd for posting photos of himself and his wife, Bianca Censori, without permission. As noted by AllHipHop, one of the images shows Ye rocking all black while Censori wears one of her revealing nude sheer outfits. The caption reads: “Yall know who ran the summer.” Another shows the two arriving at The Nuova Arena Restaurant in Milan in February 2024 and one more features them entering a Balenciaga store. The lawsuit mentions a total of 10 images across his Instagram page and website altogether.

BackGrid alleged that by publishing these pictures, West benefitted financially with increased traffic to his online platforms. They seek statutory damages of up to $150,000 per picture West used as well as the coverage of attorney’s fees and injunctive relief. The total amounts to $1.5 million.

West and Censori have been inseparable as of late. The two attended a party where West DJ’d over the weekend. He played popular songs from Prince, Eurythmics, The Eagles, JAY-Z, and more, but also made headlines for reportedly using songs from Diddy and R. Kelly back to back. Producer Mike Hector, who was in attendance, wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “I’m at this party and kanye djing. he played 2 diddy songs and then a r kelly song right after. this n***a do not give a f*ck.” Censori, on the other hand, turned heads with her dance moves next to West as he handled the music.

Amber Rose Dismisses Fans Who Turned Their Back On Drake’s Music

Amber Rose has spent most of 2024 as a defender. She turned lots of heads when she declared that she supported Donald Trump. She even spoke on Trump’s behalf during the Republican National Convention. Now, it seems the model is turning her attention towards Drake. Amber Rose hopped on social media on August 8 to show that she was playing the rapper’s classic single “Controlla.” She also took the time out to denigrate fans who claim to have jumped off the Drake wagon after a decade and a half. As far as she is concerned, the stance is disingenuous.

Amber Rose made it clear that she still rocks with the Toronto rapper, and anybody who claims not to is kidding themselves. “So we’re all gonna act like Drake’s music isn’t the soundtrack of our lives… ok,” she wrote on Instagram. Rose and Drake have had a complicated relationship over the years. The former was sampled by Drake on the Views song “Faithful,” and the two were seen spending time together in Miami in 2016. Page Six reported that the two celebs were spotted dining “in the wine room at Prime 112.”

Drake would also reference Amber Rose on the 2018 song “Sandra’s Rose.” The rapper even shouted out Rose’s “Slut Walk” charity. “My mother had a flower shop, but I was Sandra’s rose,” he spit. “Two girls that I rope like Indiana Jones. I make them h*es walk together like I’m Amber Rose.” It hasn’t been all love from Rose, however. In 2015, the model used Drake as an example of double standards in the music scene. She criticized outlets for being openly critical of her links to men, while the rapper was said to a bachelor. While Amber Rose gets labeled a “slut,” she lamented that Drake’s escapades are considered part of his “love life.”

Amber Rose and Drake are also linked through Kanye West. Both celebrities were once close with the Chicago rapper, only to have highly publicized falling outs. Rose talked about her time dating West on the Forbidden Fruits podcast. She admitted that it was overwhelming to be with such a polarizing celebrity. “I was the first,” she noted. “I was the girlfriend and then all of the sudden I was by myself walking around.” Drake viewed Kanye West as a mentor during the first leg of the 2010s, only to beef with the rapper for the next decade. Kanye West Puts Atlantic Records On Blast Over Alleged “Vultures” Threats

Last weekend, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign finally unveiled their new album Vultures 2, but the release was anything but typical. For one, it arrived by surprise following multiple delays. Amid complaints about its quality, Ye also promised to deliver updated versions of songs in real time. He also dropped several exclusive bonus tracks in the past couple of days. They boast features from the likes of Kid Cudi, Kodak Black, and more.

Now, the Chicago-born artist has taken to his Instagram Story to put Atlantic Records on blast. In a screenshot, someone lets Ye know that Atlantic Group chairman Julie Greenwald “just got fired.” They added that Greenwald said, “The new head is not going to give [them] a grace period to handle Atlantic’s compensation.” Finally, he warned Ye that “if [they] don’t handle immediately,” meaning paying Atlantic 40% of all revenue from Vultures 1 and Vultures 2, they’ll be taken down.

Ye’s collaborator, Ty Dolla Sign, is currently signed to Atlantic. This could explain why they’re looking for a cut of Vultures 1 and Vultures 2.
