EST Gee Drops Chilling Visual Trailer For “Mad” Album

Louisville’s own EST Gee took to Instagram to share a visual teaser of his forthcoming album, Mad. The trailer lets viewers into EST Gee’s world as he opens up about grief and trauma. As an opener he expresses, “How you gone look at me and say it ain’t that bad?” over clips of real-life experiences. Gearing up for the album, Gee released 3 singles since January, “Undefeated”, “Blow Up,” and “If I Stop Now”. The short video features raw and uncut storytelling with soulful samples over a trap beat.

EST Gee became a mainstream sensation with his 2020 mixtape, I Don’t Feel Nun. The project’s sequel, I Still Don’t Feel Nun was a commercial success and led to a deal with Yo Gotti’s CMG label and Interscope Records in 2021. When the “5500 Degrees” rapper isn’t talking about getting his “lick back” he’s known for expressing personal moments of despair on a track. Juelz Santana revealed that he’s secured a collaboration with 21 Savage for his next album. The iconic New York rapper shared a screenshot of his text exchange with 21 on Instagram over the weekend. The conversation began with Santana sending over a track tentatively titled “Dead Ops.”

“Can we do this joint for my album bro,” Santana wrote to 21 Savage, who replied, “Got you!!!!” From there, Santana said, “Let’s Go. I waited I didn’t jus wanna send u anything. News of the collaboration comes just months after Santana spoke out to defend 21 following his controversial comments on Nas’ relevancy. 21 had said that he felt the legendary rapper is “not relevant.” Both Santana and his Dipset partner, Jim Jones, defended the opinion. “I’m just looking at what 21 Savage was saying. I don’t think that he meant it as what people were taking it as, or shit like that,” Jones explained. “Because in today’s society, with the younger generation, these kids are very lit out here, and they put ‘lit’ and ‘relevant’ in the same thing, when it’s two different things.” Santana elaborated: “I think they should have found out what 21’s definition of relevant is, too. When you ask questions, you got to be real particular ’cause he’s just talking …”

Santana also linked up with 21 Savage at Drake’s concert at the Apollo Theater, earlier this year. He joined Freekey Zekey, Cam’ron, and Jim Jones for performances of “I Really Mean It,” “Dipset Anthem” and “We Fly High (Ballin’).” 21 had collaborated with Drake on their album Her Loss. Kanye West made a surprise return to Instagram, on Sunday night, while asking fans to provide a caption for his post. The picture Ye used shows a slim runway model wearing a gray outfit with red glasses. He took the photo from Balenciaga’s Winter 2023 fashion show in Paris. The brand shared the image on its own Instagram page, just hours prior to Kanye’s post. “Look 44, Winter 23,” read the caption. “Round Shoulder Long Sleeve Turtleneck, Low-Waist Fitted Pants, Biker Boot, Speed Cat Sunglasses.”

As for Kanye’s post, he captioned the photo, “Write a caption…” A number of fans and fellow celebrities commented on the post, including YG who wrote, “Yeezy back !!!!!” Stefflon Don asked, “Where the hell you been at?” before providing the caption idea: “When its the time of the month but he still wanna taste.” While he’s back on Instagram, Ye remains suspended from Twitter.

Jalen Rose Delivers Candid Response To Ja Morant: “I’ve Been That Young Player”

Jalen Rose reacted to Ja Morant’s recent Instagram Live post, in which he brandished a gun, on ABC’s pregame show on Saturday night before the Milwaukee Bucks took on the Philadelphia 76ers. Rose compared himself to the young Memphis Grizzlies star, explaining that he has experience with guns as well. The former NBA star said that he believes Morant will figure it out.

“I am Ja Morant,” Rose said after hearing from Stephen A. Smith and Michael Wilbon. “You guys got a chance to see me grow up for public consumption since 1991. I’ve been involved in drug raids, I’ve survived assassination attempts. I’ve been that undisciplined young person that was trying to figure out how to be famous, how to be successful, how to change the dynamics of my family.”

Rose went on to call fame a drug and praised Morant for owning up to his mistakes. Morant released a statement on Saturday apologizing for the live stream. The Grizzlies have since suspended him for a stretch of two games. “He’s a 23-year-old young man, nobody got arrested, nobody got injured, and I’m hearing too many stories about pistols, ok?” Rose continued. “Allegedly with the 17-year-old kid, allegedly with the Indiana Pacers staff, last night on IG Live, I saw the video like you guys did brandishing the gun. The next step to that is now recovery, and I believe he’s on that path, I’m happy that he’s on that path. He’s gonna return, and he’s gonna be a better person, and because of all of this taking place, he’s gonna be able to live his full potential.”

Omarion Recalls Getting Punk’d By Bow Wow At 19

Many have fallen victim to Ashton’s Kutcher’s orchestrated pranks on the popular 2000s’ series Punk’d. The gut-punching MTV classic memorably captured the faces of rap stars like Missy Elliott and OutKast as they became the butt of practical jokes. In 2003, the show aired an episode featuring R&B singer Omarion. The usually “unbothered” singer was 19 years old when he was set up by his manager Chris Stokes and rapper Bow Wow. Bow, who was Omarion’s best friend at the time, initially set up the scheme having fallen victim two episodes prior.

The scene took place at a luxe Hollywood villa, where Omarion and Bow Wow were “invited” by a group of women.
