IDK Pulls Up To ‘Shoot My Shot’ With Offset On A Charismatic Banger
After delivering two projects to fans in the span of a year with Is He Real? and IDK & Friends 2, PG County rapper IDK took his foot off the gas for the next few months. Now, he’s back in action and coming off a string of releases that continues with his latest effort, “Shoot My Shot.” With Offset riding shotgun on the song, the two rappers show off their ability to get the attention of any woman they lay their eyes on. The track arrives with a charismatic video that’s filled with beautiful women and plenty of “shooting” references.
The new single could land on the rapper’s upcoming album, U See 4 Yourself. The upcoming effort is set to be the sequel to his major-label debut album, which he released back in 2019. IDK hasn’t shared too much information on his second album, but with his recent jump in activity, expect that news about it will arrive sooner than later.
Prior to the new single with Offset, IDK showed off his falsetto voice in a cover of Pharrell and Jay-Z’s 2003 track, “Frontin.” He also gave his supporters a hard-hitting effort with “2 Cents” after fighting his opponents on “King Alfred.” In the midst of that, he also offered a remix of Pooh Shiesty’s “Back In Blood” and joined Deante Hitchcock and Flatbush Zombies to remix Spillage Village’s “Baptize.”

IDK Shows Off His Falsetto Voice In A Cover Of Pharrell’s ‘Frontin’
There’s no doubt that DMV rapper IDK is one of the more talented artists to make his mark in the hip-hop space over the past few years. He impressed with his major-label debut album, Is He Real? at the end of 2019, and since then he’s delivered a consistent streak of quality music, with his sophomore album, U See 4 Yourself, poised to keep that run going. But before that drops, IDK took a moment to show off his singing abilities in a silky smooth cover of Pharrell and Jay-Z’s 2003 track “Frontin.”
IDK debuted the cover with a black and white video, which sees him dressed up to the nines surrounded by back-up singers and violinists, all while he lets his falsetto voice fly.
The new take of “Frontin” is just one of many tracks that IDK has delivered in recent months. Earlier this week he joined Deante Hitchcock and Flatbush Zombies for a remix of Spillage Village’s “Baptize,” which arrived after his hard-banging track “Just Like Martin.” IDK also appeared on Pooh Shiesty’s viral track “Back In Blood,” with a devastating freestyle.

Spillage Village’s ‘Baptized’ Remix Adds Fiery Verses From Deante’ Hitchcock, IDK, And Flatbush Zombies
Atlanta rap supergroup Spillage Village had one of the best albums of 2020 in Spilligion, and today, they took a huge step in extending its shelf life, releasing a remixed version of the album’s second single “Baptize.” The new version adds a who’s-who of the group members’ favorite collaborators, including Deante’ Hitchcock, who contributes the verse from his #NewAtlantaTuesdays freestyle over the beat, IDK, and Flatbush Zombies to turn the introspective track into a full-blown posse cut of cerebral rhymes and complex cadences. Group member Hollywood JB also makes an appearance to help keep the Spillage crew’s presence strong.
While the original version of the song focuses heavily on religious imagery as a lens through which to make sense of the global turmoil at the time of the album’s creation, the new version mostly does away with the framing devices, allowing the guest rappers to right down to the nitty-gritty. While Hitchcock spits socio-political commentary, IDK boasts of his off-season accomplishments and wonders if he should forego meetings with Netflix to work with HBO. Juice and Erick of Flatbush Zombies bat cleanup, preaching self-reliance and optimism to cope with the issues plaguing the world.

IDK Takes Advantage Of Pooh Shiesty’s Hit For His Devastating ‘Back In Blood (Freestyle)’
Although IDK had a strong showing in 2020, the PG County-bred rapper has spent the last few months laying low until very recently, when he released the single “2 Cents” to break the relative silence since October’s “King Alfred.” It seems his warm-up period is going to continue for a bit, as he shares another new video, this time for a freestyle over the hit Pooh Shiesty song, “Back In Blood.”
On the original, Pooh Shiesty and Lil Durk recount tales of revenge. As IDK is a bit further removed from the troublemaking days he recalled on his breakout mixtape IWASVERYBAD, his freestyle focuses instead on the best kind of revenge: success. “I bought a chain and a crib in a pandemic,” he boasts. “Got a AMG and not a Panamera / Got a twin turbo in the hood like I’m in the trenches with Tia and Tamera.” It’s clear he’s sharpening his knives for whatever he’s cooking up to release in 2021, building on the growing success of his last year.
IDK’s solid 2020 included the release of his compilation album IDK & Friends 2, which doubled as the soundtrack to the Kevin Durant-produced basketball documentary Basketball County: Something In The Water, as well as making his television debut with the outspoken “No Cable” on The Late Show.
Meanwhile, the “Back In Blood (Freestyle)” video was also accompanied by IDK’s cover of Brent Faiyz’s song “Gravity” which originally featured Tyler The Creator. You can listen to that below.
